예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2021년 4월 29일

이번 안식일에 읽을 토라 포션은 “에모르”, 레위기 21:1~24:23입니다. 선지서에서 읽을 부분은 에스겔 44:15-31입니다. 신약성경에서는 베드로전서 2:4-10입니다.
매주처럼 하나님의 말씀에서 읽는 본문들이 모두 흥미롭고 오늘날 우리가 깨닫고 할 수 있는 것은 실행에 옮기는 것을 기억해야 할 중요한 것으로 가득합니다. 토라에서 제가 여러분과 토론하고 싶은 말씀은 레위기 21:5: “제사장들은 머리털을 깎아 대머리 같게 하지 말며 자기의 수염 양쪽을 깎지 말며 살을 베지 말고” – 레위기 21:5 지난 주에 읽은 말씀 중에 레위기 19:28입니다: “죽은 자 때문에 너희의 살에 문신을 하지 말며 무늬를 놓지 말라 나는 여호와이니라.” – 레위기 19:28 레위기 21:5 말씀은 특별히 성막에서 주님을 섬기는 제사장들에게 말하고 있습니다. 레위기 19:28 말씀은 이스라엘 온 백성을 위해 말하고 있습니다: “너희는 죽은 자 때문에 너희 살을 베거나 무늬를 놓아 문신하지 말라. 나는 여호와다.” 하나님의 말씀의 이 구절은 오늘날 서구 문화에 아주 의미가 있습니다. 여러분은 하나님께서 이스라엘 자손에게 토라를 주시던 때와 달리 마음을 바꾸셨다고 생각하십니까? 여러분은 지금 21세기에 하나님께서 그분의 자녀가 문신을 하고 심지어 목사들이 자기 몸을 문신으로 덮는 것을 좋아하실 것이라고 생각하십니까? 하나님 말씀의 이 본문에 문신은 살을 베는 것과 동급입니다. 하나님의 말씀은 우리 몸이 주의 성전이라고 가르칩니다. 우리는 하나님의 성령이 우리 안에 거하심을 믿습니다. 이것은 구약과 신약의 가르침입니다. 문신은 이교도 문화의 특징입니다. 인류는 지난 12,000년 동안 문신을 알았습니다. 몸을 베고 문신을 하는 풍습은 기원전 5,000년도 전에 온 세상에, 동아시아와 미주 등 여러 문화 속에 퍼졌습니다. 토라와 선지서와 시가서와 신약을 주신 이스라엘의 하나님께서는 그분의 자녀, 이스라엘 자손에게 자기 몸을 베고 문신하는 것으로 자기 몸을 훼손하는 일과 그에 참여하는 것을 금하셨습니다. 저는 열세 살 때 예루살렘 우리 동네의 모든 소년소녀들과 함께 했던 다윗의 별 문신이 하나 있습니다. 우리 동네 모든 아이들이 똑같이 다윗의 별 문신을 한 이유는 우리 친구들 부모님들 대부분이 폴란드, 독일, 오스트리아, 네덜란드, 우크라이나, 라트비아, 리투아니아 노동 수용소 및 죽음의 수용소에 들어갔을 때 나치가 그들의 팔에 새긴 숫자 문신이 있었기 때문입니다. 우리들 모두가 어리석은 짓을 한 것은, 우리가 토라를 몰랐고 우리들 대다수가 하나님을 몰랐기 때문입니다. 저는 제 팔에서 이 작은 문신을 없앨 수도 있었겠지만, 제가 어린 십대 때 얼마나 어리석었는지 저에게 상기시키기 위해 그대로 두었습니다. 토라는 우리에게 우리 몸을 소중히 여기고 그 어떤 이교도의 징표나 관습으로부터 우리 자신을 지킬 것을 가르칩니다. 네, 그럼, 여러분이 저처럼 이미 여러분의 몸에 문신이 있다면, 여러분은 여러분의 몸에 문신을 한 것을 후회하는 것 말고는 별로 할 수 있는 것이 없습니다. 여러분은 다른 청소년들에게 그렇게 하지 말라고 가르쳐 줄 수 있을 것입니다. 여러분은 그것이 명백히 우리 창조주의 뜻에 반하는 것이며, 추하고 불필요한 것이고, 우리 인생에 그 어떤 유익한 것을 보태주지도 않는다는 것을 가르쳐 줄 수 있을 것입니다. 네, 여러분이 신약성경만 알고 창세기부터 요한계시록까지의 하나님의 말씀을 존중하지 않는 전통적인 기독교인일지라도, 여러분은 여전히 하나님께서 이스라엘에게 몸을 베지도 문신을 새기지도 말라고 말씀하셨음을 생각하셔야 합니다. 그것이 긍정적인 것이었다면, 하나님께서는 그분의 자녀 이스라엘 자손에게 그들의 몸을 베거나 문신을 새기는 것을 금하지 않으셨을 것입니다. 이제 어린 아이들과 십대 자녀가 있는 가족들에 말씀 드리겠습니다. 화내거나 비난하지 말고, 메시아의 제자들인 우리는 택함 받은 백성임을 나누며 설명하는 것이 현명합니다. 우리에게는 세상의 빛이 될 특별한 사명이 있습니다. 우리는 선하고 거룩한 삶과, 선하고 거룩한 행동의 본이 되어야 합니다. 신약성경의 다음 구절들을 생각해 보시기 바랍니다: “너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하도록 하라.” – 로마서 12:2 “전에 악한 행실로 멀리 떠나 마음으로 원수가 되었던 너희를 이제는 그의 육체의 죽음으로 말미암아 화목하게 하사 너희를 거룩하고 흠 없고 책망할 것이 없는 자로 그 앞에 세우고자 하셨으니” – 골로새서 1:21,22 “너희 몸은 너희가 하나님께로부터 받은 바 너희 가운데 계신 성령의 전인 줄을 알지 못하느냐 너희는 너희 자신의 것이 아니라.” – 고린도전서 6:19 저는 우리가 그리스도 안에서 자유가 있지만, 자유가 무제한이 아니라는 것을 압니다. 우리가 존중하고 지킬 한계를 정하신 분은 하나님이십니다. 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 모든 것은 우리의 유익을 위한 것이며, 우리 삶의 순결과 믿음을 위한 것입니다. 하나님의 충고와 명령을 무시하는 것은 죄로 드러날 수도 있는 잘못입니다!
저는 우리 인도 형제자매님들에게서 아주 중요한 새 기도 부탁을 받았습니다. 여러분이 아실지도 모르겠지만 저는 줌으로 인도에서 말씀을 가르쳐왔는데요, 그곳에는 1세기 예슈아의 제자 공동체의 회복을 보기를 심원하는 유대 배경을 가진 많은 형제자매님들이 있습니다.
인도의 코로나바이러스 상황은 아주 절망적입니다. 병원은 가득 찼고 인공호흡기 사용이 필요한 이들에게 산소가 없습니다. 저는 메시아닉 회중의 지도자 중 17명이 코로나바이러스로 죽었고 수천 명이 아프다는 소식을 들었습니다. 인도 형제들은 인도와 특별히 믿음의 권속인 우리 형제들을 위한 기도와 중보를 부탁하고 있습니다!
마르시아를 위해 계속 기도해주시기 바랍니다. 마르시아는 확실히 상당히 기력이 없어졌습니다. 에너지가 거의 없고 하루 중 대부분의 시간을 누워있습니다. 저는 주님의 은혜로 마르시아를 고쳐주시어 기동하며 저와 함께 여행하며 저희 회중과 공동체와 전 세계에 흩어져 있는 우리 형제들과 친구들에게 축복이 되도록 회복시켜 주실 것을 기도하며 그렇게 될 줄 믿습니다. 마르시아를 위해 기도해 주시기 바랍니다!
저를 위해서도 기도해 주십시오. 지난 며칠 동안 저는 기력이 없고 춥게 느껴졌고, 제 왼쪽 다리와 등허리에 통증이 있어 고생했습니다. 저는 이것이 그저 늙은 사람이 보통 가지고 있는 통증이라고 생각하고 그러기를 바랍니다. 주님께서는 고치시고 강건케 하시고 힘을 주실 수 있으십니다.
저는 5월 2일에 눈 수술이 예정되어 있습니다. 이 수술은 제 왼쪽 눈에 합니다. 제 왼쪽 눈은 1951년 이래로 실명되었는데, 지금 예루살렘의 최고 의사들이 이 눈에 수술을 하여 제가 양쪽 눈으로 볼 수 있게 되기를 바라고 있습니다. 제게는 이것이 기적이나 다름없는 일입니다. 그래도 저는 여러분의 기도가 필요합니다. 마르시아도 저 다음에 5월 중에 한 쪽 눈에 백내장 수술을 받을 것입니다.
콜롬비아에 계시는 유다 카메로의 아버지를 위해 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 그는 집에 있는데요, 그의 간암 치료와 관련하여 의사들이 해줄 수 있는 게 별로 없어서입니다. 저는 여러분께 유다의 아버지와 그의 가족을 올려드려 주님께서 긍휼을 나타내보여 주시고 이 하나님의 사람 유다의 아버지를 치유해 주시고 힘을 주시도록 기도해 주시기를 부탁드립니다. 유다는 아내와 아기들과 그의 일을 하러 예루살렘 집으로 돌아왔습니다.
로젠펠드 가족을 위해 계속 기도해 주십시오. 영국의 귀한 말콤 토마스 킹 형제님을 위해 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 말콤은 벌써 일주일 째 병원에 입원해 있는데요, 중태입니다.
네티비야가 예루살렘의 가난한 사람들을 돌보고 먹이며, 자기 자녀와 가족을 먹이는 데에 도움이 필요한 이 도시 사람들을 축복하는 일을 계속할 수 있도록 도와주시는 것을 고려해 보시기 바랍니다.

저희 두 손주를 위해 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 이들은 몇 주 있으면 둘 다 고등학교를 졸업합니다. 둘 다 그들 인생에 중요한 변화를 앞두고 있습니다. 저희 손녀 노암도 5월 1일에 18살 생일입니다. 노암에게는 아주 대단한 날입니다. 그녀는 고등학교에서 해방되고 다른 의무에서도 해방되어 그녀 인생에 그녀 스스로 결정하고 선택하는 특권을 누리게 됩니다. 인생의 중요한 교차로에 서 있는 노암을 위해 주님께서 노암에게 복 주시어 그녀 인생에 무엇이 선하고 옳고 거룩한지 분명한 방향과 인도하심을 주시도록 기도해 주십시오.
저희 두 손주 노암과 죠셉 둘 다 아주 재능이 많고 착한 학생들입니다. 둘 다 “A” 학생이며 뛰어난 젊은이들이지만 둘 다 인생을 위해 선하고 똑똑하고 바른 선택을 하기 위해 하나님의 보호와 인도가 필요합니다.
제가 열여덟 살이었을 때 메시아를 믿는 믿음 때문에 집에서 쫓겨났을 때, 저는 제 편이 아무도 없었고 저를 인도해 줄 사람이 아무도 없었습니다. 주님의 도우시는 이끄심과 인도만이 저에게 유일한 인도함이었습니다. 저는 제 인생에 있어온 주님의 선하심과 지도로 인해 주님을 찬양합니다.
저는 죠셉과 노암 둘 다 그들의 미래에 그런 하나님의 힘과 비전을 갖고 오직 의롭고 선한 선택을 이스라엘의 전능하신 하나님과 우리 주 예슈아로부터 선물로 받도록 기도합니다.

The Torah reading this Shabbat is from the portion “Emor”, from Leviticus 21:1 – 24:23. The reading from the prophets is from Ezekiel 44:15-31. From the New Testament, 1 Peter 2:4-10.
Like every week the readings from God’s word are all interesting and full of important things that we today need to understand and remember to put what we can to practice. From the Torah I want to discuss with you Leviticus 21:5: “They shall not make any bald place on their heads, nor shall they shave the edges of their beards nor make any cuttings in their flesh.” – Leviticus 21:5 [NKJV] From last week’s reading Leviticus 19:28, “You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.” – Leviticus 19:28 [NKJV] The text from Leviticus 21:5 is specifically speaking to the priests who serve the Lord in the Tabernacle. The text from Leviticus 19:28 is speaking for all the people of Israel: “You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.” These texts from God’s Word are so very relevant for today’s Western culture. Do you think that God has changed His mind from the time that He gave the Torah to the children of Israel? Do you think that now in the 21st Century God loves it when His children tattoo and even the pastors cover their bodies with tattoos? The tattoos themselves are equated in these words from God’s word like cuttings in the flesh. The Word of God teaches that our bodies are the temple of the Lord. We believe that the Holy Spirit of God dwells inside of us, this is a teaching from the Old Testament and from the New Testament. Tattoos are a hallmark of pagan culture. Humans are known to have had tattoos for the last 12,000 years. The practice of cutting and tattooing bodies was spread around the world before 5000 BCE, in cultures as diverse as East Asia and the Americas. The God of Israel who gave us the Torah, the prophets, the writings, and the New Testament has forbidden His children, the children of Israel, to participate and disfigure their bodies with cuttings and tattoos. I have one tattoo of a Star of David that I did together with all the boys and girls in my neighborhood in Jerusalem when I was 13 years old. The reason that all the kids in our neighborhood did the same tattoos of a Star of David was because most of the parents of our friends had numbers tattooed on their arms by the Nazis when they entered the labor and death camps in Poland, Germany, Austria, Holland, Ukraine, Latvia, and Lithuania. We all did something stupid because we didn’t know the Torah and most of us didn’t know God. I would remove the small tattoo from my arm, but I am keeping it to remind me of how stupid I was as a young teen. The Torah teaches us to honor our bodies and keep our selves pure from any pagan signs and practices. Okay, so, if you, like me, already have tattoos on your body, there is not much that you can do other than to regret putting tattoos on your body. You can teach others of the youth not to do it. You can teach that it is expressly against the will of our Creator and it is something ugly and unnecessary, nor does it add anything profitable to our lives. OK, if you are a traditional Christian that knows only the New Testament and you don’t have respect for the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation – you still ought to consider that God said to Israel to not cut or tattoo your body. If it was something positive God wouldn’t have forbidden His children, the children of Israel, from doing cuts on their bodies or tattoos. Now let me speak to families with young children and teenagers. It is wise to share and explain without anger or condemnation that as disciples of the Messiah we are chosen people. We have a special mission to be the light of the world. We are to be examples of a good and holy life and of good and holy behavior. Please consider the following texts from the New Testament: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” – Romans 12:2 [NKJV] “And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight…” – Colossians 1:21,22 [NKJV] “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” – 1 Corinthians 6:19 [NKJV] I realize that we have freedom in Christ, but freedom is not unlimited, and it has God given boundaries that we ought to honor and keep. All that God has given us, is for our good, and for our life of purity and faith. Ignoring God’s advice and commandments is a mistake that might turn out into sin!
I have some new and very important prayer requests from our brothers and sisters in India. You might know that I have been teaching through Zoom in India and there are many brothers and sisters from a Jewish background with a deep desire to see the restoration of the first century community of Disciples of Yeshua.
The coronavirus situation in India is totally desperate. The hospitals are full and there is no oxygen for those who need to use respirators. I received a report that 17 messianic leaders have died from the coronavirus and thousands are sick. The brothers in India are asking for prayer and for intercession for the sake of India and especially for those who are a part of the household of faith, our brothers!
Please continue to pray for Marcia. She is definitely slowed down significantly. She has very little energy and she rests most of the day. I am praying and believing in the Lord’s grace for healing Marcia and restoring her ability to function and travel with me and to be a blessing to the local congregation and community and to our brothers and friends around the world. Pray for Marcia, please!
Pray also for me. In the last few days I have been feeling weak and cold, and suffer from pain in my left leg and also my back sides. I suppose and hope that these are just an old man’s normal pains and aches. The Lord can heal and strengthen and give energy.
I am scheduled for eye surgery on May 2nd. The surgery will be on my left eye. My left eye has been blind since 1951, and now the top doctors in Jerusalem are anxious to do surgery on that eye and hope that I will be able to see from both eyes. For me this is no less than a miracle, but I need your prayers. Marcia will also have cataract surgery on one of her eyes sometimes after me in the month of May.
Please Pray for Yudah Chamero’s father in Columbia. He is at home because there is not much that the doctors can offer with regard to treatment of his liver cancer. I am asking you to lift Yudah’s father and his family that the Lord will show mercy and healing and strength for this man of God and Yudah’s father. Yudah has returned home to Jerusalem to take care of his wife and babies and to do his job.
Keep praying for the Rosenfelds. Please pray for a dear brother, Malcolm Thomas King, from the UK. Malcolm is already a week in hospital in critical condition.
Please consider helping Netivyah to continue caring and feeding the poor of Jerusalem and blessing the people of this city that need help to feed their children and families.
Also we need your prayers and help to continue to do the Lord's work with the youth in Jerusalem, and with the publication of the “Teaching from Zion” Magazine that goes around the world in about 4000 issues and gives people a different perspective of the life and practices of the Bible and the Early Church in Israel.
Printing several thousands of issues of the Teaching from Zion Magazine is costly. It costs several thousands of dollars to edit and do the graphics and to print and to mail. We are not charging money for every service and teaching that we do around the world. We have our M.O. from the very beginning of Netivyah in the year 1980, we want to share the Lord’s goodness free of charge. We are teaching around the world, and now we are doing it through modern technology and feeding spiritual truths and teachings. Just a few hours ago, I gave a teaching of nearly three hours to leaders from Italy. All our teachings both at home and around the world are carried out free-of-charge for those who receive them, but at high cost to Netivyah for the production and printing of these valuable teachings.
The Hamotzi program for feeding the needy of Jerusalem is ongoing and has not stopped during most of the coronavirus lockdown and quarantine. The number of needy people who come to receive food from our program has increased and overall need has increased.
Please pray for Netivyah and for the Netivyah leadership and find ways to partner and participate in the great blessing that the ministry of Netivyah is here in Israel and also around the world. Please pray and seek ways to partner and contribute financially for the Lord’s work in Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.
Please continue to pray for a very special kindergarten in Jerusalem “Little Hearts.” The director of this special kindergarten is one of our own from the congregation.
Keep praying for a dear sister, Livia Schnell Nothen. Please keep brother Philip Marc in your prayers. Pray for Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias. He is the father of a dear sister in Brazil.
Pray for all those wonderful, dedicated brothers and sisters in Korea who stood with Israel and with Netivyah to revive and to not forget their first love for Israel and for Netivyah.
Danah our daughter, needs much prayer for her health and her situation. Our granddaughter Noam is a senior in high-school and working with Zoom to finish her high school. Pray for the Lord to give Noam guidance and direction for graduation from high school.
Our grandson Joseph also needs prayer to be able to get into college with proper scholarships. Please lift Barry our son and his family, Beth, and Joey our grandson to be protected and spared any contact and infection of the coronavirus. Marcia’s mother June is 91 years old and her health is failing.
Our dear sister Hadassah continues her healing and recovery from cancer. Keep her in your prayers.

Keep praying for Nancy, Don and their son Aaron Hook, Rachel David, Kim’s wife – Jingyung Lee, Dr. Yuizawa, Tiz H., Lion H., Ilana Abramov, Cynthia Parveen’s sister, David Stern and his family, Anne West who is now 100 years old. Keep praying for Gary, and Melanie.
Remember the following brothers and sisters from the Roeh Israel Congregation in Jerusalem; Sarit, Gabriela, Ahuva, Leah, Ilana, Hannah, young Gabriela, Jonathan B. and his wife Aviva and their baby. Pray for Sister Yoko Nagumo in Japan. Sister Yoko had a stroke, and we pray that her recovery will be quick and complete.
From Chennai, India, please remember Pastor Isaac. Pastor Isaac is an older man with severe kidney problems and has to have dialysis several times per week. Remember Tony and Louisa Tam, and our brothers and sisters at the 611 Church, and the other churches who love God and love Israel in that great city. Remember in your prayers the Cohen family in Hong Kong.
Just a word of grace before the mercy seat of the Almighty will be heard in favor of these brothers and Um Mahmud Abu-Eid and Jimmy Abu-Eid and his family, Keijo and Salme our dear brothers in Finland, Tim Tucker, Satu-Maria, Sinni Tuuli, Anne Mirjami our dear sister and all our other brothers and sisters in Finland who need our prayers, Eva H., Patty, Andrea, Julia and Victor, and Aaron Tani, and Hillel and his wife.
We continue to pray for Zhou Wenrian, Abe family, Toru San, Takeo Sensei, Daisuke Sensei, Tomoko San, Yumi and her father Pastor Ohara, George, and Pastor Isaac in Chennai, India.
Please pray for the Rantavaara family and especially for Pekka our dear brother and for his whole family. Pekka is in advanced stages of Parkinson and needs the Lord’s healing and strength.
I have just received a prayer request from a dear sister from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her father who is 70 years old and diabetic has contracted the COVID-19 virus. His name is Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias.
Please see your prayer as casting a vote for healing before the Lord and His angels in Heaven in favor of every brother and sister that you are praying for. Just a word of grace for all of us is a refreshing spirit. Take your prayers before the mercy seat of the Almighty to be heard in favor of those that you are lifting in prayer.

Ahuva. Please pray for a dear brother who is well into his 90’s and lost his wife a couple of weeks ago. His name is Dov H. Please keep in your prayers a dear sister who attends our congregation in Jerusalem. Her name is Hadassah and she just had cancer surgery. Pray for Hadassah for a full recovery and remission from any cancer in her body.
Pray for Israel. We are going through terrible riots and violence in the streets of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv and other places around the country. These riots are motivated by the fact that much of the populace of Israel does not understand what the government is doing in relationship to the coronavirus pandemic.
I would like a new prayer request for a dear brother Yehuda Hochman who lives in the Negev Desert. Yehuda has to receive Dialysis treatment several times per week.
I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to visit our webpage and do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.

The coronavirus is threatening the economy of the world with a great recession and depression. Some of our major supporters have already lowered the amount of their support. They have done this not only toward Netivyah, but for all the ministries that they are supporting, and they are many. I would like to first ask you to pray about your part in supporting Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.
Second, I would like for you who stand with us in prayer and financially to do your absolute best to stay on board with us and communicate. We realize that times will be hard for several years, but we also realize that God has chosen and blessed you for such a time as this.
Third, please pray for a new project that we are starting in Israel in partnership with the Houses for Healing ministry from Abilene, Texas.
Please pray for our two grandchildren. They are both graduating in a few weeks from high school. They are both facing this important change in their lives. Noam our granddaughter also has her 18th birthday on May 1st. This is a very big day for Noam. She will be free from high school and also from other obligations and be privileged to make her own decisions and choices in life. Pray for Noam on this major crossroad of life for her and ask the Lord to bless Noam and to give her clear direction and guidance for what is good and right and holy in her life.
Both Noam and Joseph, our two grandchildren, are extremely talented and good students. Both are “A” students and excellent young people, but both need divine protection and guidance to make good and smart and right choices for life.
When I was 18 years old and cut off from my family because of my faith in the Messiah, I had no one on my side and no one to guide me. The Lord’s providential leading and guidance was the only guide that I had. I praise the Lord for His goodness and direction in my life.
I pray that both Joseph and Noam will have such divine strength and vision for their own future that only right and good choices will be their gift from the Almighty God of Israel and Yeshua our Lord.
I wish all of you, who stand with Israel and who pray for Jerusalem, the best of the Lord’s blessings and the fulfillment of all His promises to His faithful children. Those who hear God and do His will are the ones who are called wise! Those who only hear His word and don’t do it are called foolish! Let us all strive to be wise and never foolish! The best is yet to come!
