예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2021년 5월 6일

2021년 5월 8일, 이번 안식일에는 토라 포션 두 개를 읽습니다. 두 개 포션은 베하르(레위기 25:1~26:2)와 베후코타이(레위기 26:3~27:34)입니다.

선지서에서는(하프타라) 우리가 우리 시대에 극히 관련이 많고 기독교인들이 이스라엘과 이스라엘에 있는 예슈아의 유대인 제자들을 위해 중보할 때 읽고 연구하고 기도해야 할 아주 아주 중요한 예언적 포션을 읽습니다. 읽는 부분은 예레미야 16:19~17:14입니다.

신약성경에서는 마태복음 21:33-46과 누가복음 24:44-53을 읽습니다.

요즈음 전 세계 모든 곳에서 자연과 농지 보호에 대해 말하는 것은 아주 현대적이고 심지어 포스트모던합니다. 적지 않은 소수자들에 의하면, 우리가 살고 있는 세계는 병들어 쇠약해지고 있고 우리의 가장 중요한 자연자원은 날마다 그리고 매주 없어지고 있습니다.

우림 지대가 줄어들고 있고 농지의 토양은 빈약해지고 있습니다. 농부들은 농지에 점점 더 많은 비료를 쓸 수 밖에 없는데, 이것은 농업 비용을 증가시킵니다. 이번 주 토라 포션은 바로 이러한 포스트모던적인 우려로 시작되고 있고 하나님의 기름 부으심으로 그 해결책을 제공해주고 있습니다.

이번 주 토라 포션의 약간의 도입부입니다:

“여호와께서 시내 산에서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되 이스라엘 자손에게 말하여 이르라 너희는 내가 너희에게 주는 땅에 들어간 후에 그 땅으로 여호와 앞에 안식하게 하라 너는 육 년 동안 그 밭에 파종하며 육 년 동안 그 포도원을 가꾸어 그 소출을 거둘 것이나 일곱째 해에는 그 땅이 쉬어 안식하게 할지니 여호와께 대한 안식이라 너는 그 밭에 파종하거나 포도원을 가꾸지 말며 네가 거둔 후에 자라난 것을 거두지 말고 가꾸지 아니한 포도나무가 맺은 열매를 거두지 말라 이는 땅의 안식년임이니라 안식년의 소출은 너희가 먹을 것이니 너와 네 남종과 네 여종과 네 품꾼과 너와 함께 거류하는 자들과 네 가축과 네 땅에 있는 들짐승들이 다 그 소출로 먹을 것을 삼을지니라 너는 일곱 안식년을 계수할지니 이는 칠 년이 일곱 번인즉 안식년 일곱 번 동안 곧 사십구 년이라.” – 레위기 25:1-8

하나님께서 땅과 농업의 생명력 보존에 관하여 모세와 이스라엘 자손에게 명하고 계신 것을 주목해 봅시다:

1. 너희는 샤밧-안식의 일곱째 날을 가지라. 땅도 샤밧-7년마다 땅을 쉬게 하는 것-을 가지는 것이 옳다. 너희에게 먹을 것을 주는 땅에 대해 너희는 그 생명력을 새롭게 하고 수고와 추수에서 쉬게 하라. 너희가 땅으로 하여금 밭갈이와 곡식 추수에서 한 해 쉬게 하지 않으면 땅은 그 생명력이 고갈될 수 있다.

2. 너희는 6년 동안 열심히 일하여 하나님께서 너희에게 주신 땅에서 가능한 한 많이 거둘 수 있으나, 일곱째 해에는 땅에 엄중한 쉼이 있게 할지니라. 이렇게 땅에 쉼을 주는 것이 급진적인 것은 너희가 땅에 심고 씨 뿌리지 않아도 저절로 자라고 생산되는 것이 있을 것이나 너희 이스라엘 사람들은 나가서 포도원에서 포도를 따거나 밭에서 추수하지 말아야 하기 때문이다. 일곱 번째 해마다 땅을 그대로 두라-그냥 땅이 쉬게 하라.

3. 너희 이스라엘 사람들은 일곱째 해에 너희 양식에 대해 염려하지 말라. 안식년에 너희와 너희 종들과 너희 가축을 위한 양삭이 있을 것이다. 계속되는 본문에서 우리는 여섯째 해에 밭과 포도원에 소출이 풍부하여 땅이 안식년에 너희가 쉬고 땅이 쉬고도 그 다음 여덟째 해에 너희가 밭을 갈고 씨를 뿌리며 과수원과 포도원을 가꾸고 너희의 수고로부터 소출이 나기를 기다릴 때까지 염려할 필요 없이 충분한 소출을 낼 것이라고 말하고 있음을 볼 수 있습니다.

주님께서 사람들과 땅을 위한 이 안식년으로 이스라엘 자손에게 가르치고자 하신 원리는 아주 중요한데요, 심지어 우리가 살고 있는 포스트모던 문화의 산업 및 상업계에 더 중요할 수도 있습니다.

주님은 우리의 공급자이십니다. 성경 전체 중에서 주님께서 공급하신 가장 극적이고 놀라운 사례 중 하나는 창세기 22:8입니다. 아브라함은 그의 아들 이삭을 이끌고 산으로 가고 있습니다. 이삭은 자신이 그 위에 제물로 드려질 나무를 지고 갑니다. 마치 예슈아께서 그 위에 자신이 못 박힐 십자가를 지고 가셨던 것처럼.

이삭은 나무도 있고 불도 있으나 제물이 될 어린양이 없음을 알아챕니다. 그는 똑똑한 스무 살 청년입니다. 그는 그의 아버지에게 질문합니다: “번제로 드릴 어린양은 어디에 있습니까?” 아브라함은 그의 아들 이삭에게 대답합니다: “내 아들아, 하나님께서 친히 번제 제물이 될 어린양을 공급하실 것이다.” 아브라함과 그의 아들 이삭 사이의 이 질문과 대답 다음에 본문에 사용된 말을 주목해 보십시오!

“아브라함이 눈을 들어 살펴본즉 한 숫양이 뒤에 있는데 뿔이 수풀에 걸려 있는지라 아브라함이 가서 그 숫양을 가져다가 아들을 대신하여 번제로 드렸더라 아브라함이 그 땅 이름을 여호와 이레라 하였으므로 오늘날까지 사람들이 이르기를 여호와의 산에서 준비되리라 하더라.” – 창세기 22:13,14

제가 이 본문을 좋아하는 것은 여기서 아브라함이 예언적이기 때문입니다. 그는 주님께서 계속해서 예루살렘, 솔로몬이 주의 성전을 지을 모리아산, “여호와의 산”에서 공급하실 것이라고 예언하고 있습니다.

저는 주님께서 그분의 백성에게 공급하신 예를 더 찾아보았는데요, 성경에는 아주 많은 예가 있습니다. 그래서 저는 거시적으로 가기로 결정했습니다! 인류 역사에 주님의 공급하신 최고의 예는 바로 이스라엘의 전(全) 역사입니다.

여러분은 창세기에서부터 하나님께서 어떻게 그렇게 극적으로 준비하시어 이스라엘 자손과 애굽 제국에 공급하셨는지 볼 수 있습니다. 요셉 이야기는 가족 내 문제인 형제들 간의 미움과 시기로 시작하여, 미움 받고 버려진 형제 요셉이 온 애굽과 그의 온 가족에게 양식을 제공하는 것으로 끝납니다.

요약하자면, 주님께서는 그분의 모습과 형상 대로 지어진 그분의 인류인 우리에 대해 신경 쓰십니다. 그분께서는 사랑이 많으신 하나님이시지만, 우리를 향한 그분의 사랑은 여기 땅 위의 선하고 돌보고 사랑이 많은 여느 아버지 같습니다. 자기 자녀를 사랑하는 어느 아버지든 인생의 어려움과 도전에 맞설 수 있도록 자기 자녀를 훈련시키고 준비시킬 것입니다.

그러나 자녀가 비틀거리고 혼자서 맞설 수 없는 도전이 있을 경우, 부모님은 자녀의 편을 들어주고 도와주고 공급해주기 위해 그들이 할 수 있는 모든 것을 할 것입니다.

이스라엘 역사는 지난 2,000년 동안 하나님의 진노와 이스라엘의 고난에도 불구하고 이스라엘이 살아남았을 뿐만 아니라 온 인류에 축복을 준 것을 증명하는 긍정적 증거입니다. 주님께서 신실하시며 그분께서 시편 23편의 선한 목자처럼 그분의 자녀를 돌보실 것을 긍정하는 증거입니다:

“여호와는 나의 목자시니 내게 부족함이 없으리로다 그가 나를 푸른 풀밭에 누이시며 쉴 만한 물 가로 인도하시는도다 내 영혼을 소생시키시고 자기 이름을 위하여 의의 길로 인도하시는도다 내가 사망의 음침한 골짜기로 다닐지라도 해를 두려워하지 않을 것은 주께서 나와 함께 하심이라 주의 지팡이와 막대기가 나를 안위하시나이다 주께서 내 원수의 목전에서 내게 상을 차려 주시고 기름을 내 머리에 부으셨으니 내 잔이 넘치나이다 내 평생에 선하심과 인자하심이 반드시 나를 따르리니 내가 여호와의 집에 영원히 살리로다.” – 시편 23:1-6

역사는 주님께서 그분의 자녀에게 복을 주시고 공급하시고 돌보시는 것을 증명해왔습니다! 누가 그분의 자녀입니까? 주님을 알고 그분과 살아있는 관계를 맺고 있는 모든 사람들입니다!

이것이 세상에 있는 모든 독단가들을 만족시키는 것은 아닌 간단한 대답일지 몰라도, 세계 역사는 이것이 참된 말인 것을 증명해왔습니다.

제가 여기서 대답하지 않은 질문은 누가 세상을 지으신 이스라엘의 전능하신 하나님과 관계를 맺고 있는 사람들인가? 그리고 하나님과 어떻게 관계를 맺는가? 입니다. 이것은 다음 기회에 탐구해야 할 것입니다. 단지 그 때를 위한 힌트는 “종교는 그렇게 할 수 없습니다! 결코 할 수 없을 것입니다!”

하나님께서는 우리가 살아갈 땅에 대해 관심을 가지시고 그것을 보존할 만큼 우리 인류를 사랑하십니다. 이것은 아담과 이브가 죄를 짓기도 전부터 그분의 계획이었습니다:

“여호와 하나님이 그 사람을 이끌어 에덴 동산에 두어 그것을 경작하며 지키게 하시고” – 창세기 2:15

우리 모두 우리가 살아가는 지구를 사랑하고 존중하는 것을 배우도록 합시다! 이것은 하나님의 명령입니다!

저는 먼저 제 눈 수술을 위해 기도해주신 여러분 모두께 감사드리고 싶습니다. 저는 수술 받은 후 오늘 아침에 예루살렘에 있는 하닷사병원에서 퇴원했습니다. 이것은 예루살렘의 최고 안과의사들 몇이 시작하고 저도 좀 선동되고 열망이 생겨 동조한 좀 미친 수술이었습니다.

저는 이웃이었던 매형의 군 베레모로 “프리스비(원반던지기)”를 하며 놀았던 5살 때 이후로 제 왼쪽 눈을 실명했습니다. 그랬는데 제가 어제 수술을 받은 것입니다. 그리고 이것은 아주 어려운 수술이었습니다. 의사들이 아주 수고를 많이 하며 째고 꿰매고 해야 했습니다. 저는 그들이 “2번 가위 주세요, 6번 가위 주세요.” 말하는 것을 들었습니다. 그들은 70년 동안 굳어 골화한 손상된 렌즈를 꺼내느라 애를 먹었습니다. 그들은 아주 힘든 노고 끝에 성공했습니다.

오늘 아침 제가 퇴원하기 전에 그들은 안대를 제거하고 제가 볼 수 있는지, 심지어 색을 구별할 수 있는지를 보았습니다. 지금은 부어 있고 눈 안쪽에 피가 맺혀 있어, 시력이 마치 신약성경의 소경처럼 그림자가 어른거리는 것을 볼 뿐입니다. 조만간 제 왼쪽 눈의 시력이 좋아져서 제가 3차원 영화와 그 이상을 볼 수 있게 되기를 바랍니다! 주님을 찬양하는 것은 그분이 선하시고 그분의 자비가 영원하시기 때문입니다!

인도는 그들이 고통당하고 있는 코로나바이러스의 무게에 관한 한 다른 모든 나라를 능가했습니다. 브라질과 미국보다 훨씬 상황이 나쁩니다. 코로나바이러스 때문에 죽은 인도 형제들과 지도자들이 많습니다.

병원들은 차고 넘쳐 문을 두드리는 환자들을 돌볼 수가 없습니다. 아픈 사람들은 병원 문 밖에서 죽어가고 있고 병원 안에는 숨을 쉴 수 없는 이들에게 줄 산소도 침상도 부족합니다.

우리 인도 형제자매님들이 하늘로부터 도우심이 있도록 기도를 부탁하고 있습니다. 우리 주님께 인도의 모든 이들과 특히 그 나라에 있는 우리 형제자매들에게 긍휼을 베풀어주시기를 기도하며 구하도록 합시다. 인도 사람들이 우상숭배를 고백하고 버리게 하시고, 이스라엘과 우리 주 예슈아의 주 하나님께서 인도 사람들에게 그분의 긍휼과 사랑을 보여주시옵소서!

The Jerusalem Prayer List – May 6, 2021

This next Shabbat, May 8th, 2021, will be the reading of a double portion of the Torah. The reading is from two portions: Behar (Leviticus 25:1 – 26:2), and Bechukotai (Leviticus 26:3 – 27:34).

From the prophets (Haftarah) we will be reading a very very important prophetic portion that is extremely relevant to our own day and extremely important for Christians to read, study, and pray about in intercession for Israel, and for the Jewish disciples of Yeshua in Israel. The reading is from Jeremiah 16:19 – 17:14.

From the New Testament we will be reading from Matthew 21:33-46, and from Luke 24:44-53.

It is very modern and even postmodern these days to speak about conservation of nature and the agricultural lands around the whole world. According to no small minority, our world is wasting away and our most important natural resources are being lost from day to day and week to week.

The rainforest is diminishing and the soil in agricultural lands is impoverished. Farmers are forced to put much more fertilizer on their land, which increases the cost of farming. Our Torah portion starts with exactly these postmodern concerns and provides a solution with a divine anointing.

Here is a little of the opening statement of our Torah portion for this next Shabbat:

“And the Lord spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying, ‘Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: “When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a sabbath to the Lord. Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather its fruit; but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord. You shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard. What grows of its own accord of your harvest you shall not reap, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine, for it is a year of rest for the land. And the sabbath produce of the land shall be food for you: for you, your male and female servants, your hired man, and the stranger who dwells with you, for your livestock and the beasts that are in your land—all its produce shall be for food. And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years.”’” – Leviticus 25:1-8 [NKJV]

Let us notice what God is commanding Moses and the children of Israel about the preservation of the Land and its agricultural vitality:

1. You have a Sabbath – a seventh day of rest. It is right for the land also to have a Sabbath – every seven years let the land rest. The land that feeds you, you allow it to replenish its vitality and to rest from being worked and harvested. The land can be depleted of its vitality if you don’t let it rest one year from the plowing and the harvesting of the crops.

2. You can work hard for six years and get as much as possible from the land that God gave you, but the seventh year there shall be a solemn rest for the land. This rest for the land is radical because even when you don’t plant and sow the land, on its own it will grow and produce, but you men of Israel, you shall not go and pick the grapes from the vineyards nor harvest the fields. Just leave the land alone on every seventh year – just let the land rest.

3. You men of Israel don’t worry about your food in the seventh year. The Sabbatical year will have food for you and your servants and your livestock. In the continuation of the text we find out that in the sixth year there will be such a rich crop in your fields and in your vineyards that the land will provide enough for you to rest and for the land to rest in the Sabbatical year and the following year, giving you time to plow and sow seeds and to prune the orchards and vineyards and to be able to sustain yourselves while you wait for the produce from the work that you do in the eighth year, free from worry.

The principles that The Lord is trying to teach the children of Israel with this Sabbatical year, both for the people and for the land, are very important, and may be even more important for the industrial and business world of our postmodern culture.

The Lord is our provider. One of the most dramatic and surprising cases in the whole Bible of the Lord providing is from Genesis 22:8. Abraham is leading Isaac his son toward the mountain. Isaac is carrying the wood on which he is to be sacrificed, just like Yeshua is carrying the cross on which he will be crucified.

Isaac notices that there is wood and there is fire, but there is no lamb for the sacrifice. He is a smart, being a 20-year-old young man. He asks his father: “where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” Abraham answers his son Isaac: “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” Notice the language of the text after this question and answer between Abraham and Isaac his son!

“Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, ‘In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.’” – Genesis 22:13,14 [NKJV]

I like this text because Abraham is prophetic here. He is predicting that the Lord will continue to provide in Jerusalem, in the “mount of the Lord” which is Mount Moriah, on which the Temple of the Lord will be built by Solomon.

I looked for more examples of the Lord’s provision for His people and there are just too many examples in the Bible. So, I decided to go to the macro! The best example in human history of the Lord’s provision is actually the whole history of Israel.

You can start in Genesis and see how God prepared in such a dramatic way, provision for the children of Israel and for the Egyptian empire. The story of Joseph that starts with problems in the family, hate and envy between brothers, ends with Joseph, the hated and rejected brother, providing food for all of Egypt and also for his own family.

In summary, the Lord cares about us, His human race created in His own form and image. He is a loving God, but His love for us is much like any good and caring and loving father here on Earth. Any father who loves his children will train them and equip them to face life prepared to cope with life’s difficulties and challenges.

However, if the children falter and have challenges that they can’t face alone, the father and mother will do all they can to stand with, and help and to provide for their children. We must all learn to trust God.

The history of Israel is proof positive that with all of God’s anger and with all the suffering of Israel in the last 2000 years in the diaspora, Israel has not only survived, but provided blessings for all of humanity. Proof positive that the Lord is faithful and He will take care of his children like the good shepherd in Psalms 23:

“The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.” – Psalms 23:1-6

History has proven that the Lord blesses and provides and takes care of His children! Who are His children? All those who know the Lord and have a living relationship with Him!

This is a simple answer that might not satisfy all the dogmatists in the world. History of the world has proven that this is a true statement.

The question that I have not answered here is who are those who have a relationship with the Almighty God of Israel who created the world? And how do you make a relationship with Him? This we will have to explore another time. Just a hint for the future: “Religion can't do it! And never could!”

God loves us humans enough to care for the land that we live on and to preserve it. This was his plan even before Adam and Eve sinned:

“Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to farm the land and to take care of it.” – Genesis 2:15

Let us all learn to love and respect the Earth that we live on! It is God’s command!

I would like first to thank all of you who have prayed for my eye surgery. I was released from the Hadassah hospital in Jerusalem this morning after the surgery. It was a crazy surgery that some of the very top eye doctors in Jerusalem initiated and I, being a little crazy and ambitious went for it.

I have been blind in my left eye since the age of 5, while playing “frisbee” with an Israeli military beret hat of my brother-in-law, a neighbor. So, yesterday I had surgery and it was a very difficult surgery. The doctors worked very hard and had to cut and stitch and I heard them say, “Give me scissors number 2, and number 6.” They had a very hard time pulling out the damaged lens that had petrified and calcified for 70 years. They succeeded after very hard work.

This morning before I was released from the hospital they took out the bandages and behold I can see and even see colors. Right now there is swelling and blood inside the eye, so my sight is like that of the man in the New Testament, I see shadows moving. Hope in the near future my sight on the left eye will improve and I will be able to see 3-D movies and much more! Praise the Lord for He is good and His mercy endures forever!

India has surpassed every other country in the world with regard to the gravity of the coronavirus that they are suffering. It is worse than Brazil, and the USA. There are many brothers and leaders that have died in India from the coronavirus.

The hospitals are overwhelmed and can’t provide care for the patients that are knocking on their doors. The sick people are dying outside the doors of the hospitals and there is not enough oxygen for those who can’t breathe or beds inside the hospitals.

Our brothers and sisters in India are begging for prayer and for help from Heaven. Let us pray and ask our Lord for mercy for all of India and especially for our brothers and sisters in that great country. May the paganism of India be confessed and rejected and may the Lord God of Israel and the Father of Yeshua our Lord show His mercy and His love for the Indian people.

Please continue to pray for Marcia. She is definitely slowed down significantly. She has very little energy and she rests most of the day. I am praying and believing in the Lord’s grace for healing Marcia and restoring her ability to function and travel with me and to be a blessing to the local congregation and community and to our brothers and friends around the world. Pray for Marcia, please!

Please Pray for Yudah Chamero’s father in Columbia is at home because there is not much that the doctors can offer for treatment of his liver cancer. I am asking you to lift Yudah’s father and his family that the Lord will show mercy and healing and strength for this man of God and Yudah’s father. Yudah has returned home to Jerusalem to take care of his wife and babies and do his job.

Keep praying for the Rosenfeld family, the young and the old. Please pray for a dear brother, Malcolm Thomas King from UK. Malcolm is already a week in hospital in critical condition.

Please consider helping Netivyah to continue caring and feeding the poor of Jerusalem and blessing the people of this city that need help to feed their children and families.

Also we need your prayers and help to continue to do the Lord's work with the youth in Jerusalem, and with the publication of the “Teaching from Zion” Magazine that goes around the world in about 4000 issues and gives people a different perspective of the life and practices of the Bible and the Early Church in Israel.

Printing several thousands of issues of the Teaching from Zion Magazine is costly. It costs several thousands of dollars to edit and do the graphics and to print and to mail. We are not charging money for every service and teaching that we do around the world. We have our M.O. from the very beginning of Netivyah in the year 1980, we want to share the Lord’s goodness free of charge. We are teaching around the world, and now we are doing it through modern technology and feeding spiritual truths and teachings. Just a few hours ago, I gave a teaching of nearly three hours to leaders from Italy. All our teachings both at home and around the world are carried out free-of-charge for those who receive them, but at high cost to Netivyah for the production and printing of these valuable teachings.

The Hamotzi program for feeding the needy of Jerusalem is ongoing and has not stopped during most of the coronavirus lockdown and quarantine. The number of needy people who come to receive food from our program has increased and overall need has increased.

Please pray for Netivyah and for the Netivyah leadership and find ways to partner and participate in the great blessing that the ministry of Netivyah is here in Israel and also around the world. Please pray and seek ways to partner and contribute financially for the Lord’s work in Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.

Please continue to pray for a very special kindergarten in Jerusalem “Little Hearts.” The director of this special kindergarten is one of our own from the congregation.

Keep praying for a dear sister, Livia Schnell Nothen. Please keep brother Philip Marc in your prayers. Pray for Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias. He is the father of a dear sister in Brazil.

Pray for all those wonderful, dedicated brothers and sisters in Korea who stood with Israel and with Netivyah to revive and to not forget their first love for Israel and for Netivyah.

Danah our daughter, needs much prayer for her health and her situation. Our granddaughter Noam is a senior in high-school and working with Zoom to finish her high school. Pray for the Lord to give Noam guidance and direction for graduation from high school.

Our grandson Joseph also needs prayer to be able to get into college with proper scholarships. Please lift Barry our son and his family, Beth, and Joey our grandson to be protected and spared any contact and infection of the coronavirus. Marcia’s mother June is 91 years old and her health is failing.

I am adding a new prayer request from a leader of God’s people in India, Joy Mathew. Joy has a serious heart condition and has asked for prayer.

Please keep in your prayers our dear brother Pastor TJ in Taiwan.

Keep Ruby Little in your prayers, our dear sister from Oklahoma City, who is also battling against cancer and add to your prayers Allison Howard Williams.

Pray for Rachael and Daniel, a brother and sister who need jobs and emotional healing. Lift these brothers and sisters in your prayers: Angela Isby, Deborah Isaiah, Aries Franklin Mayers Sr., and Tony Black. Keep praying for Nancy, Don and their son Aaron Hook, Rachel David, Kim’s wife – Jingyung Lee, Dr. Yuizawa, Tiz H., Lion H., Ilana Abramov, Cynthia Parveen’s sister, David Stern and his family, Anne West who is now 100 years old. Keep praying for Gary, and Melanie.

Remember the following brothers and sisters from the Roeh Israel Congregation in Jerusalem; Sarit, Gabriela, Ahuva, Leah, Ilana, Hannah, young Gabriela, Jonathan B. and his wife Aviva and their baby. Pray for Sister Yoko Nagumo in Japan. Sister Yoko had a stroke, and we pray that her recovery will be quick and complete.

From Chennai, India, please remember Pastor Isaac. Pastor Isaac is an older man with severe kidney problems and has to have dialysis several times per week. Remember Tony and Louisa Tam, and our brothers and sisters at the 611 Church, and the other churches who love God and love Israel in that great city. Remember in your prayers the Cohen family in Hong Kong.

Just a word of grace before the mercy seat of the Almighty will be heard in favor of these brothers and Um Mahmud Abu-Eid and Jimmy Abu-Eid and his family, Keijo and Salme our dear brothers in Finland, Tim Tucker, Satu-Maria, Sinni Tuuli, Anne Mirjami our dear sister and all our other brothers and sisters in Finland who need our prayers, Eva H., Patty, Andrea, Julia and Victor, and Aaron Tani, and Hillel and his wife.

We continue to pray for Zhou Wenrian, Abe family, Toru San, Takeo Sensei, Daisuke Sensei, Tomoko San, Yumi and her father Pastor Ohara, George, and Pastor Isaac in Chennai, India.

Please pray for the Rantavaara family and especially for Pekka our dear brother and for his whole family. Pekka is in advanced stages of Parkinson and needs the Lord’s healing and strength.

I have just received a prayer request from a dear sister from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her father who is 70 years old and diabetic has contracted the COVID-19 virus. His name is Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias.

Please see your prayer as casting a vote for healing before the Lord and His angels in Heaven in favor of every brother and sister that you are praying for. Just a word of grace for all of us is a refreshing spirit. Take your prayers before the mercy seat of the Almighty to be heard in favor of those that you are lifting in prayer.

Keep praying for Guilherme Antonio Nathan Becker and his wife Artuza de Oliviera, also add Rachael and Daniel Webster and Lizette Nancy, and Jose Carlos from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

We have brothers and sisters in Israel and in China and I ask you to pray for their safety and protection: Deborah Ruth, Lydia, Sima, Laurel S., Naomi, Orna, David S., Daniel, Dalia D., Ayla, Hillel, Elhanan, Tony, Dr. Song, and his wife Sister Harriet Kim, Michael Knezevich, Ismael Alves, Asher Gabriel, M. Ahuva. Please pray for a dear brother who is well into his 90’s and lost his wife a couple of weeks ago. His name is Dov H. Please keep in your prayers a dear sister who attends our congregation in Jerusalem. Her name is Hadassah and she just had cancer surgery. Pray for Hadassah for a full recovery and remission from any cancer in her body.

Pray for Israel. We are going through terrible riots and violence in the streets of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv and other places around the country. These riots are motivated by the fact that much of the populace of Israel does not understand what the government is doing in relationship to the coronavirus pandemic.

I would like a new prayer request for a dear brother Yehuda Hochman who lives in the Negev Desert. Yehuda has to receive Dialysis treatment several times per week.

I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to visit our webpage and do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.

Pray for some dear friends, Rabbi Salt, and his family and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings.

The coronavirus is threatening the economy of the world with a great recession and depression. Some of our major supporters have already lowered the amount of their support. They have done this not only toward Netivyah, but for all the ministries that they are supporting, and they are many. I would like to first ask you to pray about your part in supporting Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.

Second, I would like for you who stand with us in prayer and financially to do your absolute best to stay on board with us and communicate. We realize that times will be hard for several years, but we also realize that God has chosen and blessed you for such a time as this.

Third, please pray for a new project that we are starting in Israel in partnership with the Houses for Healing ministry from Abilene, Texas.

Please pray for our two grandchildren. They are both graduating in a few weeks from high school. They are both facing this important change in their lives. Noam our granddaughter also has her 18th birthday on May 1st. This is a very big day for Noam. She will be free from high school and also from other obligations and be privileged to make her own decisions and choices in life. Pray for Noam on this major crossroad of life for her and ask the Lord to bless Noam and to give her clear direction and guidance for what is good and right and holy in her life.

Both Noam and Joseph, our two grandchildren, are extremely talented and good students. Both are “A” students and excellent young people, but both need divine protection and guidance to make good and smart and right choices for life.

When I was 18 years old and cut off from my family because of my faith in the Messiah, I had no one on my side and no one to guide me. The Lord’s providential leading and guidance was the only guide that I had. I praise the Lord for His goodness and direction in my life.

I pray that both Joseph and Noam will have such divine strength and vision for their own future that only right and good choices will be their gift from the Almighty God of Israel and Yeshua our Lord.
 

I wish all of you, who stand with Israel and who pray for Jerusalem, the best of the Lord’s blessings and the fulfillment of all His promises to His faithful children. Those who hear God and do His will are the ones who are called wise! Those who only hear His word and don’t do it are called foolish! Let us all strive to be wise and never foolish! The best is yet to come!
