예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2022년 3월 17일

이번 안식일 토라 포션은 파라샷 짜브 – 레위기 6:1~8:36입니다. 이 토라 포션의 이름은 번역하면 “명하라!”일 것입니다. 이 토라 포션도 계속해서 제사장의 희생제사 주제를 다루고 있습니다.
선지서에서 읽는 포션인 하프타라는 예레미야 7:21~8:3, 9:23,24입니다. 신약성경에서 읽는 본문은 히브리서 8:1-6입니다. 많은 랍비들과 목사들은 동물 희생제사 의식 및 관행을 다루는 이 고대의 본문을 연관시키는 것을 어렵게 생각합니다. 왜냐하면, 실제로 유대인들과 이스라엘 민족도 주후 70년 예루살렘 성전 파괴 이후 (적어도 공식적으로) 동물 희생제사를 행하지 않았기 때문입니다. 일부 그룹이 성전이나 성막 같은 것에서 희생제사 의식을 회복하기로 한다고 할지라도 거의 불가능에 가까울 것인데요, 왜냐하면 제사장은 레위 지파 아론 가문에서 나와야 하는데, 오늘날 누가 레위 지파 출신이라든지 아론 가문 출신이라든지 알 수 있는 증거 문서가 없기 때문입니다. 어쨌든, 우리가 레위기 본문을 좀 더 깊이 파보면, 정결법 제사장 및 레위인들이 물리적으로 정결법 제단에 동물 제사를 하지 않더라도 우리의 삶과 신앙을 풍요롭게 해 줄 중요한 원리와 가르침을 좀 볼 수 있습니다. 이번 토라 포션이 다루고 있는 첫 번째는 제사장의 의복입니다. 저에게는 이것이 중요한 주제입니다. 하나님을 섬기게 될 사람들에게는 특별한 복장 규정이 있습니다. 그들의 의복의 직물은 세마포로 특정되었습니다. 그들은 관을 썼고, 한 종류의 봉사에서 다른 종류의 봉사로 옮겨갈 때 옷을 갈아입어야 했습니다. 저는 이스라엘 자손이 애굽을 나와 시내산에서 율법을 받은 후 하나님께서 그들에게 하신 이러한 지시가 중요하다고 생각합니다. 왜냐하면 여러분이 경우에 따라 무엇을 입느냐는 각기 다른 공간과 봉사를 반영하고 구분하는 것입니다. 오늘날 우리 각 사람이 휴대하고 다니는 전자기기로 인해 우리는 시간과 공간의 경계를 잃었고, 모든 것을 평평하고 동등하게 만들어버렸습니다. 시간과 공간의 중요성을 없애버림으로써 모든 것이 똑같아져서, 거룩한 공간도, 거룩한 시간도, 여러분이 그에 맞게 옷을 갖춰 입어야 하는 거룩한 경우도 없어졌습니다. 특별히 우리가 온 우주의 창조주이며 우리 주이시며 구원자이신 예슈아께 대한 우리의 헌신과 경배와, 성도이며 예슈아의 제자들인 이들과의 교제를 보여주게 될 곳에 갈 때 같은 경우 말입니다. 우리는 우리 주님과, 하나님의 말씀과, 성령님께 드려 마땅한 그런 시간과 그런 공간을 예우해야 하지 않겠습니까? 제사장 및 하나님의 종이 되려면 그 지위의 진지함을 알아야 합니다. 여러분은 그 시간과 장소를 구분하고, 여러분의 나라의 총리나 유명 할리우드 배우나 감독과 만나러 갈 때 준비하듯이 옷을 차려 입어야 합니다. 저는 예루살렘에서 정통 하시딕 유대인 공동체를 봅니다. 하시딕 공동체마다 각자의 복장 스타일이 있습니다: 모자, 양말, 구두, 특별 안식일 및 절기 복장. 그들의 긴 외투(카포테)를 두르는 데 사용하는 줄/벨트 종류조차 그들의 랍비가 입는 것과 똑같아야 합니다. 그들은 그들 이웃 사람들이 입는 복장으로 그들이 어느 하시딕 그룹에 속해 있는지 알 수 있습니다. 저는 우리도 완전히 똑같이 해야 한다거나 그것을 따라야 한다거나 예슈아의 유대인 제자들인 저희에게도 그런 종류의 엄격한 복장 규정이 있어야 한다고 가르쳐야 한다고 생각하지 않습니다. 어쨌든 우리는 모두 제사장 나라요 거룩한 공동체입니다. 저는 개인적으로 젊은이들이 예의를 갖춰 수수하게 옷 입고 공동체에 오더라도 기쁠 것 같습니다. 저는 수수하게라는 표현으로 여성이 예루살렘 메아 쉐아림 정통유대교 여인들처럼 옷을 입어야 한다는 뜻이 아니라, 그저 주님과 공동체 성원 각자에게 예의를 갖추는 정도의 수수함을 말하는 것입니다. 이번 토라 포션에서 두 번째 큰 이슈는 예레미야 7:21~8:3 본문과도 연관되어 있는, 스스로 희생제물이 되는 이슈입니다. 우리는 희생제사와 그 관행을 멀리서 보아야 합니다. 고대종교든 현대종교든, 이교도든 여호와를 경배하는 참된 예배든 모든 종교에는 희생제사를 행하는 형태가 있습니다. 여러분이 경배하는 대상에게 희생제사를 드리는 것은 보편적인 관행입니다. 그러나 하나님의 말씀에는 하나님께 희생제사를 드리는 것이 가장 중요한 주된 예배 형태나 우리 하나님께 대한 경배와 감사를 보이는 것이 아니라고 합니다. 이번 안식일에 선지서에서 읽는 부분 중 예레미야 7:21-24입니다: “만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 너희 희생제물과 번제물의 고기를 아울러 먹으라 사실은 내가 너희 조상들을 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낸 날에 번제나 희생에 대하여 말하지 아니하며 명령하지 아니하고 오직 내가 이것을 그들에게 명령하여 이르기를 너희는 내 목소리를 들으라 그리하면 나는 너희 하나님이 되겠고 너희는 내 백성이 되리라 너희는 내가 명령한 모든 길로 걸어가라 그리하면 복을 받으리라 하였으나 그들이 순종하지 아니하며 귀를 기울이지도 아니하고 자신들의 악한 마음의 꾀와 완악한 대로 행하여 그 등을 내게로 돌리고 그 얼굴을 향하지 아니하였으며” – 예레미야 7:21-24 희생제사가 하나님께서 그분의 자녀에게 가지는 주된 관심사가 아니라는 개념은 선지서와 시가서와 심지어 신약성경에서도 발견되는 일반적인 개념입니다. 이사야 1장, 호세아 6장, 심지어 사무엘상 15장에서도 사무엘은 순종이 제사보다 낫다고 말하고 있습니다. 그래도 희생제사를 비하하지는 맙시다. 왜냐하면 우리가 무언가에 대한 우리의 사랑을 표현하는 방식이 우리가 사랑하는 사람들이나 사물을 위해 우리가 얼마나 기꺼이 내주고 희생할 수 있는지를 보여주는 것이기 때문입니다! 사랑이 무엇인지 기술한 사도 바울의 말입니다: “내가 내게 있는 모든 것으로 구제하고 또 내 몸을 불사르게 내줄지라도 사랑이 없으면 내게 아무 유익이 없느니라.” – 고린도전서 13:3 우리가 내어주고 희생하고 다른 사람들을 축복하고 하나님을 송축해야 하는 필요는 내재된 필요이며 본능입니다! 그러나 그것이 사랑으로 한 것이 아니라면, 그것은 다른 사람들과 우리에게 축복이 되는 대신 가증한 것이 됩니다. 주님께서는 하나님 나라를 위해 우리의 시간과 재능과 돈을 희생하고자 하는 소원과, 주님과 서로와, 사람들과 우리 신앙 대상을 향한 우리의 사랑을 표현할 기회가 있는 것에 대한 사랑과 감사를 가지고 우리에게 복 주십니다.

진실은 드러나야만 합니다. 저는 감옥에 가게 되는 두 번째 이스라엘의 수상에는 관심 없습니다. 저희 나라는 역대 대통령 중 한 명, 재무부 장관 중 한 명, 내무부 장관 중 한 명, 국회의원 중에서도 감옥에 간 일이 있었습니다.

하나님의 말씀을 듣고 그분의 뜻을 행하는 사람들은 지혜로운 사람이라고 합니다! 그분의 말씀만 듣고 행하지 않는 사람들은 어리석은 자라고 합니다! 우리 모두는 지혜로운 사람이 되고 결코 어리석은 자가 되지 않도록 애씁시다! 최고의 것은 앞으로 올 것입니다!

The Haftarah, that is, the portion of the reading from the prophets, is Jeremiah 7:21 - 8:3, 9:23,24. The text that we read from the New Testament is from the book of Hebrews 8:1-6. Many rabbis and pastors find it hard to connect with these ancient texts that deal with ceremonies and practices of animal sacrifices. Because, in reality, the Jewish people and the nation of Israel has not practiced animal sacrifices (at least not officially) since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in the year 70 of the common era. Even if some group will decide to restore the sacrificial cult in some kind of temple or tent of meeting it would be near impossible because priests have to be from the family of Aaron and the tribe of Levi. And today there is no documentation of who is either from the tribe of Levi or from the family of Aaron. However, if we dig a little deeper into the text of Leviticus we can find some some very important principles and instructions that will enrich our lives and our faith even if we don’t have physical sacrifices of animals on a Kosher altar, by Kosher priests and Levites. The first thing that this Torah portion is addressing is the clothing of the priests. For me this is an important topic. Those who are going to be serving God had a special code of dress. The material of their clothings was specified – linen. They had a hat, and they had to change clothing when they moved from one type of service to another type of service. I think that these instructions of God to the children of Israel after they got out of Egypt and received the Torah in Mount Sinai are important. Because what you wear for each occasion is a reflection and a delineation of the different space and service. Today with the electronic tools that each one of us carries we have lost the borders of time and space, and we have made everything flat and equalized. By elimination of the importance of space and time, everything is the same and there is no holy space, nor holy time, nor holy occasion where you have to be dressed accordingly. Especially when we are going to a place where we expect to show our devotion, and worship the Creator of the Universe and our Lord and Savior Yeshua, and fellowship with fellow saints and disciples of Yeshua. Should we not give that time and that space an honor that is deserved to our Lord, to God’s Word, to the Holy Spirit that should be present in the midst of our worship? To be a priest and a servant of God you had to know the seriousness of your position. You had to delineate the time and place, and honor it with being dressed in the same way that you would prepare if you were going to have a meeting with the prime minister of your country, or with a famous Hollywood actor or director. I see the communities of the Orthodox Hasidic Jews in Jerusalem. Each Hasidic court has their own style of clothing: hats, socks, shoes, and special Shabbat and holiday clothing. Even the kind of rope/belt that they use around their long coat (kapote) has to be the same like their rabbi wears. They know by the clothing that their neighbors where to which Hasidic group they belong. I don’t think that we ought to go fully and copy or follow or teach that as Jewish disciples of Yeshua we ought to have that kind of strict dress code. But I do think that when we go to worship we ought to give the proper respect and honorable attitude expressed in our dress and in our conduct. After all, we are all a kingdom of priests and a holy community. I personally would be happy even if the young people would come to the fellowship dressed honorably and modestly. By modestly, I don’t mean that the ladies ought to be dressed like the orthodox women in Mea Shearim in Jerusalem, but just modestly giving honor to the Lord and to each other. The second big issue in our Torah portion, that also connects with the reading from Jeremiah 7:21 - 8:36, is the issue of the sacrifices themselves. We must put the sacrifices and their practice into perspective. All religions, ancient and modern, pagan or true worship of the Lord, have some kind of sacrificing practice. Sacrificing to the object of your worship is a universal practice. However, in the Word of God, sacrificing to God is not the main and most important from of worship and demonstration of worship and appreciation and gratitude to our God. The reading from the prophets this Shabbat is from Jeremiah 7:21-24: “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat meat. For I did not speak to your fathers, or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices. But this is what I commanded them, saying, “Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.” Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but followed the counsels and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward.’” – Jeremiah 7:21-24 The idea that sacrifices are not the main interest of God from His children is a wide idea that is found in the prophets, and in the writings, and even in the New Testament. In chapter 1 of the prophet Isaiah, in Hosea chapter 6, and even in the book of First Samuel 15, when Samuel states that hearing (obedience) is more important than sacrifices. But, let us not belittle sacrifices, because the way that we express our love for anything is by how much we are willing to give and sacrifice for the people and the things that we love! Here are the words of the apostle Paul and his description of what love is: “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.” – 1 Corinthians 13:3 [NKJV] Our need to give and sacrifice and bless others and bless God is a built-in need, an instinct! However, if it is not done with love, in place of it becoming a blessing to others and to us, it becomes an abomination. The Lord bless us with the desire to sacrifice our time and talent and money for the Kingdom of God, with love and gratitude that we have such an opportunity to express our love for the Lord and for each other, and the people and objects of our faith.

Please continue to pray for Ukraine and for Europe and Russia and the USA. The danger for a world war is not over. On the contrary, the possibilities of a major world war are only increasing and the danger is so significant that in the next world war it might be Armageddon.
No one knows when the end of the world will come and when Yeshua will descend on Mount of Olives in Jerusalem to start the true and real and positive New World Order as it is described in the prophets of Israel, from Moses to Malachi, and in the last chapters of the book of Revelation.
Please pray for our dear brother Keijo and Sister Salme in Finland. Marcia and I need your prayers and Keijo and Salme need your prayers. We are getting older and our bodies are not what they used to be and we need healing and strength from the Lord to continue and do the Lord’s work.

A very dear sister who is a Korean living in Mexico and doing international ministry, Sarah Lee, is feeling better after a massive stroke and she is out of danger, but has to go through physical therapy and relearn to walk and conduct herself. Please keep our dear sister Sarah Lee in prayer.
We received a prayer request from a dear sister, Livia Schnell Nothen, who has been with us in Portugal and has stood with our brothers in Brazil and with us on the issue of the Anussim.
Please keep brother Philip Marc in your prayers. Philip is a young man with very serious cancer. He is a truth seeker and a faithful disciple of Yeshua who loves God and who is a lover of Israel. Philip lives far from Israel in a country that we can’t travel to, but Philip's heart is with us, and with God’s people.

The situation in Israel is getting better and many of the restrictions have been lifted. Tourists are coming, and that is a big blessing to all of Israel, and especially to many of our brothers and sisters who work as tour guides.
It is a good work to pray for people whom you don’t know personally and to pray for the world to recover and bring an end to this horrible pandemic called the coronavirus. Corona is a crown, and I am not sure on the head of which king this virus is a crown.
1. Please keep doing intercessory prayer for the whole world, concentrate on your country, but do not forget Israel.
2. There is a blessing from God to those who pray for other brothers and sisters and intercede through the Holy Spirit for the body of the Messiah.
3. It might seem like a small thing for us to pray a few minutes for brothers and sisters around the world, but in the kingdom and in the Heavens, attention is paid by the authorities of goodness to the caring and sincere intercessory prayer that conforms and confirms that the body of the Messiah Yeshua is truly one body.
4. Pray for those who have prayed so faithfully for the salvation of Israel and the peace in Israel. If you are not praying for the salvation of Israel, please start now. This prayer is sure to be answered by the Lord because He promised that, “all of Israel shall be saved!”
Please pray for Gary, our daughter-in-law Beth Shulam’s father. Pray for Danah our daughter, she needs much prayer for her situation and so does our granddaughter Noaam. Please lift Danah and Noaam in your prayers. Please lift Barry our son and his family, Beth, and Joey our grandson.

Ruby is in need of our prayers. Pray for God to heal Ruby from her cancer that after two years of treatments not much improvement. Ruby needs a miracle and strength and courage to deal with this challenge in the best way that will give her a better quality of life than chemotherapy, for divine intervention, a miracle of healing.

By praying for people who are your brothers and sisters, and whom you do not know personally, you are exercising the right to be God’s ambassador in what is called “agape love.” “Agape love” is the highest form of love, a love that does not look for earthly rewards or give and take, but just does the service of intercession in the kingdom of God.
You will be blessed by the almighty God who gives each of His children good for the good we do and recompense for the bad we do.
Your sincere prayers for people around the world do the following things for the Kingdom, the King, and for the body of the Messiah:
1. They unite you and the body in a major transcendent bond of prayer.
2. They demonstrate the oneness of the people of God.
3. Your prayer shows that there are people outside the realm of the physical world and personal interests who have a sincere bond and relationship that is heavenly and not earthly.
4. The Lord knows His children and gives credit and reward according to His promises.
We have brothers and sisters in Israel and in China, and I ask you to pray for their safety and protection: Deborah Ruth, Lydia, Sima, Laurel S., Naomi, David S., Daniel, Dalia D. and her sister Tikvah, and Ayla who has just given birth to a daughter. Pray for Elhanan and his family.
In Korea we need to pray for Dr. Song and his wife Dr. Kim, and for KIBI, the most important organization that started the great interest and support for Israel and for the Jewish Disciples of Yeshua in Israel.
In Africa, please pray Ismael Alves, Asher Gabriel, M. Ahuva, and especially for Yeshua College in Zimbabwe. Netivyah is providing most of the teaching in this new college that is especially serving the leadership of the Lamba tribe in Africa.
Netivyah has been feeding the poor of Jerusalem for more than 25 years and we have a highly appreciated humanitarian ministry that is working with the Jerusalem municipality. As the demands for food for people who never before needed such help grows, I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to visit here and do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.
Our prime minister’s case is still before the courts. I am not happy that this is happening in Israel, but I am praying that true justice and righteousness is exhibited in our court system.
The truth must come out and I am not interested in a second prime minister of Israel going to jail. We have had a president in jail, a finance minister in jail, a minister of interior affairs in jail, and a member of the parliament in jail.
Pray for some dear friends, Rabbi Salt, and his family and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings.
We are praying for Tali and asking you all to pray for Tali. We need to ask God to heal and bless this dear sister that is suffering both physically and materially. Tali has three teenage daughters with health problems and Tali herself has some serious health problems.
I wish all of you, who stand with Israel and who pray for Jerusalem, the best of the Lord’s blessings and the fulfillment of all His promises to His faithful children.
Those who hear God and do His will are the ones who are called wise! Those who only hear His word and don’t do it are called foolish! Let us all strive to be wise and never foolish! The best is yet to come!
