이번 주 토라 포션은 토라 중에서 제가 좋아하는 포션 중 하나입니다. 제가 좋아하는 이유는 여러분이 상상할 수 있는 모든 유형의 이야기를 모두 다 가지고 있기 때문입니다.
가족 안에 창피한 일이 있습니다! 형제 사이에 살의 어린 미움이 있고, 계략이 있고, 첫 눈에 반한 사랑이 있고, 가족 안에 거짓말과 속임수가 있습니다. 사업의 지혜와, 약자이자 착취당한 자가 하나님의 힘으로 이기는 승리가 있습니다. 저는 영화 “십계”의 감독이었던 세실 드미유같은 영화감독이라면 이번 주 토라 포션에서 모티브를 얻어 오스카상 이상을 받을 만한 할리우드 영화를 만들 수 있을 것이라 의심해 마지않습니다. 이번 주 토라 포션의 이름은 “바예쩨”(“그리고 그가 나갔다”)이고 창세기 28:10~32:3입니다. 선지서에서 읽는 말씀은 호세아 7:11~12:11이고, 신약성경에서는 요한복음 1:35-52을 읽을 것입니다. 이 토라 포션의 배경은 이렇습니다. 야곱이 형 에서를 피해 달아나야 했던 것은 그의 어머니 리브가가 에서가 마음속으로 아버지 이삭이 죽은 후에 아우 야곱을 죽이기로 마음 먹은 것이 예언적으로 계시받았기 때문입니다. 리브가는 평소대로 꾀를 내어 이삭이 동의하게 만들어 야곱을 저 멀리 북쪽 아람에 있는 그녀의 오라비 라반에게 보냅니다. 그러니까 리브가는 아들 야곱이 그 지방 가나안 딸과 결혼하는 게 싫다는 핑계가 떠올랐던 것입니다. 저는 그녀가 나이 많은 이삭에게 어떤 변명을 했는지는 모르지만, 이삭은 그 미끼를 물었고 야곱을 아람에 있는 야곱의 삼촌 라반에게 보내는 데에 동의했습니다. 리브가는 신속히 네게브 북쪽 광야 브엘세바에서 미국 마일로 거의 350마일이나 되는 여정을 야곱 혼자만 떠나 보냅니다. 야곱은 옷가지와 “짐”을 가득 싼 옷가방도 없었습니다. 야곱이 지니고 있는 것은 목동의 지팡이와 아마 약간의 식량을 담은 작은 꾸러미뿐이었을 것입니다. 그는 브엘세바를 떠났습니다. 그리고 돌연 다음 성경 본문이 말해주듯이: “한 곳에 이르러는 해가 진지라 거기서 유숙하려고 그 곳의 한 돌을 가져다가 베개로 삼고 거기 누워 자더니” — 창세기 28:11 야곱이 이 밤을 유숙하기 위해 예약한 장소 또는 모텔의 이름이 없음을 주목하십시오. “한 곳!” 침대도 베개도 없이, 돌을 가져다가 그것을 베개로 삼아 베고 누운 아주 피곤한 이 젊은이는 잠에 빠져듭니다. 네, 돌을 베개 삼아 자는 것은 심지어 6등급 모텔에도 들지 못합니다. 그런데 그 밤 베냐민 산지에 홀로 있는 야곱에게 찾아온 이가 있습니다. “꿈에 본즉 사닥다리가 땅 위에 서 있는데 그 꼭대기가 하늘에 닿았고 또 본즉 하나님의 사자들이 그 위에서 오르락내리락 하고 또 본즉 여호와께서 그 위에 서서 이르시되 나는 여호와니 너의 조부 아브라함의 하나님이요 이삭의 하나님이라 네가 누워 있는 땅을 내가 너와 네 자손에게 주리니 네 자손이 땅의 티끌 같이 되어 네가 서쪽과 동쪽과 북쪽과 남쪽으로 퍼져나갈지며 땅의 모든 족속이 너와 네 자손으로 말미암아 복을 받으리라 내가 너와 함께 있어 네가 어디로 가든지 너를 지키며 너를 이끌어 이 땅으로 돌아오게 할지라 내가 네게 허락한 것을 다 이루기까지 너를 떠나지 아니하리라 하신지라” — 창세기 28:12-15 창세기에는 야곱 중심의 이야기가 하나 이상 있습니다. 하나님께서 야곱 위에 서시어 그에게 말씀하시는 이 꿈 이야기는 의심의 여지 없이 야곱의 생애에 가장 그의 삶의 모습을 형성한 사건 중 하나입니다. 사실, 이번 토라 포션에는 야곱 개인의 역사뿐만 아니라 심지어 어제까지의 우리의 역사의 모습까지도 형성한 아주 중요한 서사가 하나 이상 있습니다. 우리의 과거의 사건들은 우리의 미래로 가는 길입니다. 17세기 (킹제임스번역본) 번역자들이 이해하지 못했던 히브리어 원문의 이 단어들은 무슨 뜻일까요? 그 본문은 이것입니다: “또, 보라, {주}께서 그(it) 위에 서서…” — 창세기 28:13 예루살렘출판협회 번역본은 이렇게 되어 있습니다: “[요드, 헤, 바브, 헤](여호와)께서 그(him)의 옆에 나타나시더니…” — 창세기 28:13 킹제임스 번역본의 문제는 “그(him)”가 중성적인 “그것(it)”으로 번역된 것입니다. 이것은 이야기의 구성에 있어서, 그리고 이 꿈의 본질을 이해하는 데에 있어서 큰 차이를 만듭니다. 히브리어에서 어떤 사람 위에 선다는 의미는 거기에 있으면서 그 사람을 섬긴다는 뜻입니다. 고급 레스토랑의 웨이터처럼 손님의 식탁 곁에 서 있다가 손님이 혹시 눈을 들어 웨이터를 바라보면 즉시 다가가 뭐가 필요한지 묻는 것과 같은 것입니다. 주님께서 바위 위가 아니라, 야곱 위에 서 계시다는 이 말은 거기에서 야곱에게 그가 북쪽으로 가는 이 여정에 혼자가 아님을 확신시키기 위한 것입니다. 이것은 그의 형 에서를 피해 달아나는 것이 아니라, 하나님께서 정하신 여정입니다. 야곱이 꿈에서 첫 번째 본 것은, “…사닥다리가 땅 위에 서 있는데 그 꼭대기가 하늘에 닿았고 또 본즉 하나님의 사자들이 그 위에서 오르락내리락 하고” — 창세기 28:12 야곱이 꿈에서 보는 이 모습은 무슨 의미일까요? 다음은 15세기 말 스페인에 살던 유명한 랍비 나흐마니데스가 그의 주석에 쓴 것입니다: “예언적 꿈으로 그분께서는 야곱에게 땅에서 이루어진 일은 무엇이든지 천사들을 통해 영향을 받는 것이며, 모든 것은 지존자께서 그들에게 주신 명에 의한 것임을 보여주셨다. 영존하시는 분께서 이 땅에 두루 다니도록 보내신 하나님의 천사들은, 온 땅의 주인이신 분 앞에 돌아와 그분의 존전에 아뢰어 이르기를 ‘우리가 온 땅을 두루 다니며 보니 안온히 거하고 있었습니다, 혹은 피흘리며 전쟁 중이었습니다’라고 말하되, 주께서 그들에게 다시 돌아가 땅으로 내려가 그분의 명을 이루라 명하시기까지는, 큰 일이든 작은 일이든 하지 않는다. 그리고 그분께서는 또한 그[야곱]에게 송축받으실 분께서 사다리 위에 서 계시며 야곱에게 그가 천사들의 힘 아래 있지 않을 것이며, 그는 하나님의 분깃이 될 것이고, 그분께서 ‘그리고, 보라, 내가 너와 함께 있어, 네가 어디로 가든지 너를지킬 것이니, 그[야곱]의 뛰어남은 다른 의로운 자들보다 뛰어나기 때문이다. 그분께서 그의 천사들에게 일러 야곱이 어디를 가든지 … 그를 지키게 하셨다.’라고 말씀하심 같이, 언제나 그와 함께 계실 것임을 최고의 보증으로 그에게 약속하시는 것이다.” 쉽게 말해서, 랍비 나흐마니데스가 그의 주석에서 말하고 있는 것은, 하나님께서 야곱의 꿈에 야곱에게 오셔서 그의 숙명은 확고하며, 가는 길에 야곱을 기다리고 있는 모든 어려움에도 불구하고 그는 역사 속에 하나님께서 정하신 사명을 이룰 것임을 그에게 확신시키신 것이라는 것입니다. 이후 야곱에게 일어나는 일들을 보면, 야곱이 이 꿈을 이렇게 이해했음이 분명합니다. 야곱은 하나님께서 무슨 일이 있어도 그와 함께 계실 것이며, 하나님의 천사들이 하늘과 땅을 오르내리며 야곱을 위해 중보하고 그를 보호할 것이라고 이해했습니다. 야곱이 이 꿈과 비젼에 대해 보인 반응 역시 예언적 행동입니다. 그는 이 운명적인 밤에 베개 삼았던 그 돌을 취해 기름을 붓고 예언적으로 그 장소를 벧엘(하나님의 집)이라고 선포합니다. 이 행동은 예루살렘 한 곳에서의 예배로 중앙화한 요시아왕 때 전까지 허용되고 칭송받은 전형적인 행동이었습니다. 이번 안식일 토라 포션의 이야기가 계속 이어지다보면 야곱은 그의 삶의 모든 걸음마다 시험받습니다. 한 시험이 끝나면 또 다른 시험이 있고 마지막 시험은 그의 두 아내 레아와 라헬과 이스라엘 열두 지파가 되는 열두 아들과 함께 요단강을 건너 가나안땅에 들어가기 직전 얍복강가에서 주님의 천사와의 씨름입니다. 저는 이 토라 포션이 이스라엘 역사의 패턴과 같다고 봅니다. 우리가 우주의 창조주와 마주치는 주요한 만남이 있을 때마다 거기에는 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 씨(후손)의 존재 자체를 위협하는 시험이 있었습니다. 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 씨(후손)는 메시아입니다. 야곱의 숙명은 메시아의 숙명이며 세상의 구원의 숙명입니다. 가는 길에 있는 모든 굴곡은 구원의 과정을 멸하고 멈추려는 시도입니다. 이스라엘 역사의 사건들 중 한 연결고리를 없애버린다면, 모든 과정과 사슬이 손상됩니다. 이스라엘의 역사는 그 자체가 구원의 역사입니다. 야곱과 바로 우리 시대까지 역사를 흘러내려오는 동안 그의 후손에게 일어난 일은 언제나 온 세상의 구속을 해치고 멈추기 위한 시도입니다. 이스라엘(하나님께서 야곱에게 주신 이름)은 아브라함과 이삭과 이스라엘의 후손을 통한 세상의 구원의 전달자, 매개자입니다. 그의 존재 자체와, 그의 후손 이스라엘 민족의 존재와 미래를 위협하는 어려움이 있을 때마다 야곱이 거듭 성공할 수 있었던 것은 결국 하나님께서 우리의 도움으로 오셔서 우리를 구원하셨기 때문입니다. 우리는 유월절 세데르에서 이스라엘의 후손인 우리의 역사를 규정하는 바로 그 패러다임을 정의하고 선포하는 다음과 같은 기도를 노래로 기도합니다. 유월절 하가다의 다음 문구는 그것을 모두 말해줍니다: “우리 조상과 우리 편에 있는 것이 이것이다; 우리를 대적하여 일어나 멸하려 한 것이 한 [사람 이나 민족]만이 아니라, 각 세대마다 그들은 대적하여 일어나 멸하려 했지만, 거룩하신 분, 송축받으실 분께서 그들의 손에서 우리를 구해내시는 것이다.” 우리의 조상 야곱과 그의 열두 아들의 이야기, 즉 그들의 고난, 그들의 죄, 그들의 허물, 주님 안에서 그리고 이 땅에서의 그들의 유산은 이스라엘 역사의 패러다임입니다. 그리고 결국 그것은 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 후손을 통한 온 세상의 구원, 인류를 위한 구원과 축복의 패러다임입니다. 다윗의 후손이자 아브라함의 후손인 예슈아께서는 약속된 후손입니다. 그분께서는 과거에도 계셨고 지금도 계시며 시온으로 다시 오실 오실 것이며, 모든 민족이 예루살렘으로 경배하러 올 것입니다!

The Jerusalem Prayer List – December 1, 2022

This week the Torah reading is one of my favorites from the whole Torah. The reason it is one of my favorite Torah readings is because it has just about every type of narrative you can imagine.
There is the scandal in the family! There is hate of brother against brother with intention to murder. There is intrigue. There is love at first sight. There are lies and deception in the family. There is great business wisdom. There is victory of the underdog and the abused over the great extraterrestrial messenger with divine power. There is no doubt in my mind that if Cecil B. DeMille, the great movie director that did movies like “The Ten Commandments” would have taken this Torah reading and made a Hollywood movie out of this story, the movie would receive more than one Oscar. The name of this Torah portion is “Vayetze” (“and he went out”), from Genesis 28:10-32:3. From the prophets we read from the Hosea 7:11-12:11, and from the New Testament we read John 1:35-52. Here is a little background to this Torah portion. The events that preceded Jacob having to flee from his brother Esau were because Rebecca his mother received a prophetic revelation that Esau had decided in his heart to kill his brother Jacob after their father Isaac dies. Rebecca, in her usual cunning way, arranges with Isaac to agree and send Jacob to her brother Laban in Aram, way up North. So, Rebecca comes up with a scheme that it is not good for her boy Jacob to marry the local Canaanite girls. I don’t know what excuse she gave Old Man Isaac, but he took the bait and agreed to send Jacob to Laban his uncle in Aram. Quickly Rebecca sends Jacob alone from the northern Negev Desert, from Be’er Sheva, on a journey of nearly 350 US miles. Jacob didn’t have a suitcase full of clothing and “stuff”. All that that Jacob has with him is a shepherd’s staff, and probably a small bag with some provisions. He leaves Be’er Sheva and suddenly, as the text says: “So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep.” — Genesis 28:11 [NKJV] Notice that there is no name of the place or the motel where Jacob had reservations to spend the night. “A certain place!” There is no bed or pillow, he takes a stone and places it like a pillow under his head and the very tired young men falls to sleep. Well, sleeping with a rock for a pillow is not exactly even Motel 6. But Jacob alone on the hills of Benjamin has a visitor during the night. “Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And behold, the Lord stood above it and said: ‘I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants. Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.’” — Genesis 28:12-15 The book of Genesis has more than one story centered on Jacob. This one of the dreams, with God standing over Jacob and talking to him, is without a doubt one of the most formative events in Jacob’s life. In fact, in our Torah portion there are more than one such important and formative narratives that shape Jacob’s history but also our own history even up to yesterday. The events of our past are the paths for our future. What do these words mean in the Hebrew text that the translators in the 17th Century didn’t understand? Here the NKJV has: “And behold, the Lord stood above it…” — Genesis 28:13 [NKJV] Here is what the JPS (Jewish Publication Society translation) says: “And standing beside him was [Yud, Hey, Vav, Hey]…” — Genesis 28:13 [JPS] The problem in the NKJV translation that the “Him” was translated as the neutral “it.” That makes a big difference in the plot of the story, and in the understanding of the very essence of the dream. To stand above a person in Hebrew means to be there and serve him. Like a waiter in a first-class restaurant that is standing next to the table of his clients, watching to see if they just lift up their eyes and look at the waiter, he immediately comes to ask what they need. The statement that the Lord is standing over Jacob, not over the rock, is there to assure Jacob that he is not alone in this journey North. It is a journey of destiny, not a running away in fear from his brother Esau. The first thing that Jacob sees in the dream is, “…a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.” — Genesis 28:12 What is the meaning of this video that Jacob sees in his dream? This is what Nachmanides, the famous rabbi from Spain from the end of the of the 15th Century wrote in his commentary: “In a prophetic dream, He showed Jacob that whatever is done on earth is affected by means of the angels, and everything is by decree given to them by the Supreme One. The angels of God, whom the Eternal sends to walk to and fro through the earth, would not do anything minor or major until they return to present themselves before the Master of the whole earth, saying before Him, ‘We have traversed the earth, and behold it dwells in peace, or is steeped in war and blood,’ and He commands them to return, to descend to the earth and fulfill His charge. And He further showed him [Jacob] that He, blessed be He, stands above the ladder, and promises Jacob with supreme assurance to inform him that he will not be under the power of the angels, but he will be God’s portion, and that He will be with him always, as He said, ‘And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee wherever you go for his [Jacob’s] excellence is superior to that of the other righteous ones of whom it is said, For He will give His angels charge over Jacob, to keep him in where ever he goes…’” To make things plain, what Rabbi Nachmanides says in his commentary is that God comes to Jacob in this dream to assure him that his destiny is secure, and that he will accomplish his divinely-ordained mission in history, in spite of the hardship that are waiting for Jacob along the route. From the next events that happen with Jacob, it is clear that this is what Jacob understood of this dream. Jacob understood that God is going to be with him no matter what, and that God’s angels will be going up and down between Heaven and Earth to intercede for Jacob and protect him. Jacob’s response to this vision and dream is also a prophetic act. He takes the stone that was his pillow that fateful night, anoints the stone with oil, proclaims prophetically that this place is going to be Beth-el (the house of God). This act is a classic act that was permitted and blessed up to the time of King Josiah, who centralized the worship in one place in Jerusalem. As the story goes on in our Torah portion this Shabbat, Jacob is tried and tested in every step of his life. There is one test after another, and the ultimate test is the battle with the Angel of the Lord by the River Jabbok, crossing the Jabbok river just before crossing the Jordan River and returning to the land of Canaan with his two wives, Leah and Rachel, and the 12 boys who become the 12 tribes of Israel. I see this Torah portion as a pattern of Israel’s history. Every time that we have a major encounter with the Creator of the Universe there are tests that accompany and threaten the very existence of the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, is the Messiah. The destiny of Jacob is the destiny of the Messiah and the salvation of the world. Every bump along the way is an attempt to destroy and stop the process of salvation. If one link in the events of Israel’s history is annulled, the whole process and chain is damaged. Israel’s history is the history of salvation itself. What happened to Jacob, and to his descendants throughout history up to our own day is always an attempt to disrupt and stop the redemption of the whole world. Israel, Jacobs God-given name, is the carrier and the agent of world’s salvation by the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel. Jacob’s repeated success, every time that hardship threatens his very existence and the existence and future of His descendants, the nation of Israel, is because God in the end comes to our aid and delivers us. We sing and pray the following prayer in the Passover Seder that actually defines and proclaims the very paradigm that defines our history as the children of Israel. This text from the Passover Haggadah says it all: “And it is this that has stood for our ancestors and for us; since it is not [only] one [person or nation] that has stood [against] us to destroy us, but rather in each generation, they stand [against] us to destroy us, but the Holy One, blessed be He, rescues (saves) us from their hand.” The story of Jacob, our patriarch, and his 12 sons — their tribulations, their sins, their mistakes, and their inheritance in the Lord and in the Land — is the paradigm of Israel’s history, and in the end, it is the salvation of the whole world, through the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — salvation and blessing for humanity. Yeshua, the son of David and son of Abraham, is that promised seed — He was and is and will return to Zion, and all the nations will come to worship in Jerusalem!

Ilana Ahijervie, a dear sister who is 98 years old and suffering from memory problems.
Lea Korky, a dear sister who is 89 years old and served for many years as a nurse in the Sha’arei Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
Sarit, a sister born in Jerusalem, over 87 years old, lives alone. Has no close family, and suffers from several old-age illnesses.
Yehuda Hochman, is a dear older brother living in the Negev desert with some illness that needs healing.
Please pray for Marcia my wife, and ask God to have mercy on Marcia and on me, and protect Marcia from Alzheimer’s disease and rheumatoid arthritis, and restore her energy. I also ask you to pray so that we can get the permits and licenses for a foreign worker to help us at home.
Please pray for Alexander West and his sister Sarah West. Alexander has a very serious case of Covid, and he has asked for prayer. This is a good thing, since Alexander has been estranged from the faith for a season. Pray also for Alexander’s wife Emily and son Ronan.
Please pray for Shannon’s father, Michael McGoff, who is scheduled to undergo heart surgery.
Pray for Adam R., Adam works in Netivyah as the media director and he, like Yehuda and Daniel, has been raised in Netivyah congregation in the Galilee. Adam has lost much of his hearing as a result of a virus. Pray for Adam and his family of 8 children.
Pray for Adam’s father and mother, Barry and Dalia. They too have some health problems and challenges.
Pray for Miriam and for Hannah, her daughter. Miriam is a dear sister and has lost her husband recently. Pray for Daniel S. and his children. Our dear leader in the Ro’eh Israel congregation, Gary, and his health, and for his wife Melanie and their family.
Pray for Um Mahmud Abu-Eid and Jimmy Abu-Eid and all of the family. This is a dear family of old friends that needs healing and wisdom for the children and for their work.
Please pray for the Romero family who live deep in the Negev desert. It is hot there and they are far from our congregation, we miss them, but we wish them a wonderful summer.
Please pray for Alexander West and his sister Sarah West. Alexander has a very serious case of Covid, and he has asked for prayer. This is a good thing, since Alexander has been estranged form the faith for a season. Pray also for Ronan, Alexander’s wife, who also has a challenging case of Covid.
Pray for the Ro’eh Israel congregation and the leadership of Netivyah. I have received my last check in the end of August. I am no longer employed by Netivyah. I am continuing the Lord’s work without stopping or slowing down for one minute. I need your prayers because from January I will be living on a pension. Until January, by God’s grace!

We bless our dear sister Celestine with health and blessings from Heaven for her life and her family. We pray for the Lord to be her comfort and provide sister Celestine all her physical and her spiritual and her social needs with His grace.

Please mention the name Ray Chen and ask God to show this man the grace of God and God’s powerful healing of body and soul and restoration of faith and life of holiness and sanctity.

Please don’t forget to pray for the health of Kari Antilles in Finland. He is a dear brother and supporter in prayer for Netivyah for many years.

Pray for Rita Sassai, from Vitória, ES.
Pray for the congregations related to Netivyah in Brazil, to have the strength and stamina to face the challenges in front of them with courage and strength of faithfulness to the Lord, and to the vision of the restoration of the church and Israel.
Pray for the millions of victims of the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition who have been forced to convert to the Catholic church, and now want to return home to the land of Israel and to the faith of our fathers.
Pray for the state of Israel to open the doors for these lost Jews to be able to return and fulfill God’s promises to the prophet Ovadyah:
“But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. The house of Jacob shall be a fire, And the house of Joseph a flame; But the house of Esau shall be stubble; They shall kindle them and devour them, And no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau, For the Lord has spoken. The South shall possess the mountains of Esau, And the Lowland shall possess Philistia. They shall possess the fields of Ephraim And the fields of Samaria. Benjamin shall possess Gilead. And the captives of this host of the children of Israel Shall possess the land of the Canaanites As far as Zarephath. The captives of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad Shall possess the cities of the South. Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion To judge the mountains of Esau, And the kingdom shall be the Lord’s.” — Obadiah 1:17-21 [NKJV]
Pray for Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias. He is the father of a dear sister in Brazil.
Pray for a dear young man, Paulo, from Curitiba, Brazil, who is seriously needing our prayers for sanity and mental health.
Pray for our dear brother Marcelo G. and his family. Marcelo is a pioneer in the establishing the Teaching from Zion ministry in Brazil and the Har Zion Congregation in Belo-Horizonte.
Pray for Marcelo’s father who is up in the years. Pray for our brothers in the Har Zion congregation, the widow of Pastor George, and for those who are ill and need healing.
Pray for Livia Schnell Nothen, she has some issues with her physical health and a growth in her adrenal gland. And other health issues.
Guilherme Antonio Nothen Becker, who is suffering from back problems. Aratuza de Oliveira his wife. Pray for this 3-year-old child that has serious problems with his eyes and ask the Lord to give healing to his eyes. This child’s name is Caique de Oliveira Becker.
Pray for Bernardo Antonio Nothen Becker. Bernardo is addicted to gambling and playing poker. This caused deep sorrow to his family.
Fernanda Nothen Becker, our dear sister has problems with her job that cause her pressure and challenges. Pray for the social situation in Fernanda’s work to turn and her suffering to turn into joy and friendship.
A 70-year-old Pastor Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias, suffering from diabetes.

Pray for Sister Yoko Nagumo in Japan.
In India, Pastor Isaac, from Chennai, needs our prayers. Pastor Isaac is suffering from kidney problems and has to have dialysis several times per week.
Tony Tam and his wife Luisa and son Marco need special prayer for their situation.
Pray for the Cohen family in Hong Kong and for the leadership and congregation of 611 in Hong Kong.
We continue to pray for Zhou Wenrian, Abe family, Toru San, Yumi Ohara and her family. Deborah Ruth, Ayla and Daniel and their daughter. Dr. Song, and his wife Sister Harriet Kim.
Please pray for Ruby K. from Hong Kong. Ruby has gone through a very complicated surgery for multiple cancers in her body. The surgery was very long, and Ruby is back home now recovering. Please lift Ruby K. and ask the Lord to heal and deliver Ruby from Hong Kong.

Please pray for the daughter of Bill Colwell, who is very sick with cancer.

Pray for Ruby Little, our dear and faithful sister who has cancer and has stopped receiving medical treatment for the cancer that she has. Please pray for Ruby that the Lord will heal and strengthen her and provide for all her needs both medically and socially.
Aaron Hook, Nancy Hook’s oldest son, needs our prayers for wisdom and healing from past issues of life. Pray for Don, Aaron’s father and Nancy’s husband. Don and Nancy are now in the USA. Keep Nancy in your prayers.
Lift for blessing and healing Jonathan B. and his wife Aviva and their new baby, his mother, and his brother Daniel. Pray for these very important men of God: Rabbi Salt, his family, and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings.
Pray a blessing for a dear sister Angela Isby and her situation. Pray for Tiz H. and Lion H.
Also pray for Ilana Avramov who is married to my cousin Nissim and lives in New York City. Ilana has fallen and in now in rehab learning how to walk again. We pray for her full recovery. She and Nissim both need our prayers.
Joseph Mock, a young man in his 30s, a dear brother that was named after me, has leukemia in an advanced stage. He is in the hospital and needs our urgent prayers. Joseph Mock is the son of Steve Mock, who is also one of the faithful disciples of Yeshua who became a believer in the early years of Netivyah.
Steve Mock is also in need of our prayers. He had a massive stroke and now he cannot speak, and has other limitations. Please keep Steve Mock also in your prayers, and pray for his wife Josse for strength and blessings and good health.
Pray for three women of God in Canada who need healing, Lynda, Sandy and Joanne.
I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to visit here do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.
Please pray for Netivyah and for the good work that Netivyah is doing in Israel and around the world.
We need more workers because of the challenges and needs and opportunities to bless the King Yeshua and His Kingdom down here on Earth and bless the poor people of Jerusalem and produce more materials, books, and magazines.
We ask you to join us in prayer that the right young people, talented and anointed by the Spirit of God will come and work with us, and the provision to pay the Netivyah workers a fair and just payment.
