번역: 김미애 네티비야 4월 뉴스레터 - 여섯 가지 도전과 이 특별한 축복 샬롬, 봄이 왔고, 꽃들은 피어나고 있고, 세계는 갇혀 있습니다. 금년은 코로나바이러스-19로 인해 우리가 개인으로서, 가족으로서, 단체로서, 공동체로서, 나라로서, 심지어 세계적으로 1세기 동안 한 번도 겪어보지 못한 새로운 도전이 많다는 것을 입증해주었습니다. 이들 각 조직은 각자 다른 방식으로 관리해야 하는 다양하고도 독특한 어려움에 직면해 있습니다: * 개인적으로 저는 제 자신에게 혼자만의 시간을 주어 하나님의 말씀을 묵상하고, 운동하며 꾸준히 자기 관리를 하며 반복된 일들을 계속할 수 있게 해 주어야 합니다. * 아버지와 남편으로서 저는 저의 네 자녀와 제 아내에게 한 사람 한 사람에게 관심을 기울이며, 그들 역시 제가 그들로 인해 방해받지 않도록 많은 일들을 겪고 있다는 것을 기억하고, 그들에게 계속 사랑과 희망을 보여주어야 합니다. * 단체로서 네티비야는 저희 주위에 있는 이들을 계속 격려하며 가난한 이들을 도와야 합니다. * 마찬가지로 공동체로서 저희는 가난한 사람들과, 밖에 나가 식료품을 사올 수 없는 노인들, 또한 외로운 이들을 기억하고 도와야 합니다. 전화 한 통화일지라도 그들의 하루를 더 낫게 만들 수 있습니다. * 나라적으로 우리는 우리를 안내하여 이렇게 불안한 시기를 헤쳐 나갈 책임을 맡은 이들의 지시를 따르며 이 질병을 통제하는 일을 최선을 다해 도와야 합니다. * 세계적으로 우리가 할 수 있는 최선은 기도하는 것입니다! 주님께서 이 어려운 상황을 대처하는 데에 우리 각 사람을 인도해 주시도록 기도하시기 바랍니다. 저희 네티비야는 새 승합차가 도착했다는 소식을 여러분과 나눌 수 있어서 기쁩니다! 이 차는 지난 15년 동안 필요한 이들에게 식료품을 날라주고, 어르신들을 저희 회중(교회)으로 모셔오고, 청소년들에게는 야외활동을 용이하게 해주고, 이사를 돕고, 그 외 여러 가지 좋은 일을 하는 데에 사용된 오래된 낡은 차를 대신할 것입니다. 그렇게 15년 만에 여러분의 도움으로 저희는 새 승합차로 교체하게 되었는데요, 저는 이것이 앞으로 15년 동안 저희에게 요긴하게 소용되기를 기도합니다! 코로나바이러스-19로 인해 내려진 정부의 제한정책 때문에 하모찌는 상당히 많은 변화가 있어야 했는데요, 저희 스텝 규모를 제한하고, 칸막이를 세워야 했고, 정해진 시간에 오는 사람들의 숫자를 제한해야 했습니다. 저희가 공급하는 물품도 물량 부족 때문에 제한해야 했습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 저희는 많은 가족들을 도울 수 있었고 심지어 예루살렘 내 노인들께는 식료품 꾸러미를 배달하기도 했습니다. 교회도 모임을 중지했어야 했는데요, 재미가 없습니다. 그러는 동안 저희는 줌 프로그램을 통해 인터넷으로 모일 수 있었습니다. 적어도 그건 있었습니다. 요셉 슐람 장로님과 저는 해외(브라질, 핀란드, 몰타, 이탈리아, 그 외 다른 곳들) 말씀 강의 여행을 모두 취소하거나 연기했어야 했지만, 긍정적인 점은 이 코로나바이러스 때문에 요셉 장로님과 제가 저희의 인터넷방송을 늘렸다는 것입니다. 저희 둘 다 일주일에 여러 번 페이스북 생방송을 하고 있습니다. 그러니 맘 편히 이곳에서 저희와 함께 해 주시기 바랍니다. 단체로서 네티비야는 모두가 재택 근무하도록 제한되었고 그 결과 다소 일을 덜 하고 있기는 하지만, 4월에 저희 직원에게 계속 급여를 지불하기로 결정했습니다. 가족으로서 이것은 특별히 이렇게 감정적으로 취약한 시기에 저희가 서로서로를 지탱해주는 것은 중요합니다. 저희는 조만간 모든 것이 거의 정상으로 돌아가기를 바라고 기도하지만 보겠습니다. 저희가 이곳 이스라엘과 전 세계에서 (특별히 지금은 인터넷을 통해서) 하는 하나님의 일 그 어느 것도 여러분의 기도와 후원이 없이는 불가능했을 것입니다. 그래서 저희는 그에 대해 매우 감사한 마음입니다. 예루살렘에 있는 저희가 많은 축복을 기원합니다! 다니엘 스턴과 네티비야 스텝 일동 ======================================================= Netivyah April Newsletter - 6 Challenges Plus This Special Blessing Shalom, Spring is here, the flowers are blooming, and the world is in lockdown. This current year has proven to be full of new challenges that we as individuals, families, organizations, communities, countries and even the world have not faced in a century as a result of COVID-19. Each of these structures faces various unique hardships that require managing in different ways: * As an individual, I have to make sure to give myself time alone, to meditate on the word of God, try to exercise, keep up with self-care, and continue some sort of routine. * As a father and husband, I have to make sure to give each of my four children and my wife some one-on-one attention, to remember that they are also going through a lot, to do my best not to get annoyed with them, and to keep showing them love and hope. * As an organization, Netivyah has to keep encouraging those around us and helping those in need. * Likewise, as a community, we have to remember to help those in need, the elderly, who can’t go out and need groceries, and also the lonely. Even a phone call can make their day better. * As a country, we need to follow the instructions of those entrusted to navigate us through these turbulent times and to do our best to assist in controlling this disease. * Globally, the best thing we can do is to pray! Pray that the Lord will guide each of us in facing this difficult situation. We, at Netivyah, are so glad to share with you that our new van has arrived! It will replace the trusty old one we have used for the last 15 years to transport food to the needy, drive our elderly to the congregation, facilitate trips with the youth group, assist with apartment moves and so many other wonderful things. So after 15 years, with your help, we have replaced it with a new one that I pray will serve us for another 15 years! As a result of government restrictions put in place due to COVID-19, Hamotzi has had to make significant changes, limit our staff size, set barriers in place, restrict the number of people coming at any given time. Our supplies were limited as well due to shortages; nevertheless, we were able to assist so many families and even drove food packages to the elderly in Jerusalem. The congregation has had to stop meeting as well, not fun. In the meantime, we have been able to meet over the internet via Zoom, so at least there is that. Joseph and I have had to cancel or delay all of our teaching trips abroad (to Brazil, Finland, Malta, Italy and more) but on a positive note, due to this coronavirus, both Joseph and I have ramped up our internet broadcasts. We both are doing Facebook Live broadcasts multiple times a week, so please feel free to join us there. As an organization, Netivyah has decided to continue paying our staff during April, even though we are all restricted to work from home and are working a bit less as a result. But, as a family, it is important that we support each other, especially in these emotional times. We hope and pray that things will go back to semi-normal soon, but we will see. None of God’s work that we do here in Israel and around the world (especially via the internet now) would be possible without your prayer and support, and we are exceedingly grateful for it.
