예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2021년 4월 1일

우리는 유월절 절기 중간에 있습니다. 이번 안식일에 읽는 말씀은 출애굽기 13:17~15:26입니다. 이스라엘 자손은 이미 애굽을 떠났고 지금은 애굽 사람들을 피해 달아나고 있습니다. 애굽의 바로는 정신을 차리고 애굽에 히브리 노예가 필요하다는 것을 깨닫습니다.
그러자 바로는 그의 군대와 병거들을 준비시켜 병거를 타고 이스라엘 사람들을 추격합니다. 이스라엘 사람들은 후미에는 애굽 사람들, 앞에는 홍해를 둔 그 사이에 갇히게 되었습니다. 이스라엘 역사 중에 위대한 극적인 순간 중 하나입니다. 모세의 노래는 이스라엘 자손이 홍해를 마른 땅으로 건넌 후 애굽 사람들이 그 바다에 빠져 죽은 승리를 기념하여 부른 노래입니다. 여러분은 아마 혼란스러울 지도 모르겠습니다. 우리가 지난 안식일에 레위기를 읽고 있었는데, 지금 다시 출애굽기를 읽고 있으니 말입니다. 이번 안식일은 유월절 안식일이어서, 읽는 말씀이 이 절기에 특별히 읽는 말씀인 것입니다. 우리는 하나님으로부터 절기들을 지키라는 명령을 받았습니다. 이 때문에 우리는 유월절에 떨어지는 안식일에 출애굽 이야기를 다시 읽습니다. 선지자의 글에서는 우리가 이번 안식일에 사무엘하 22:1-51을 읽습니다. 신약성경에서는 요한계시록 15:1-4를 읽습니다. 전통은 우리가 홍해를 건넌 사건과 연관 짓게 하는 것이 다소 분명합니다. 이렇게 토라와 선지서의 글과 신약성경에서 읽는 말씀들은 바로 그 순간의 사건–모세와 이스라엘 자손이 홍해를 건넌 사건–을 바로와 그의 병거가 홍해에 빠져 죽은 사건과 똑같이 연관 짓고 있습니다. 우리가 출애굽기 13:17에서 읽는 말씀은, 하나님께서 왜 이스라엘 백성을 가까운 길을 통해 인도하시지 않고 먼 길로 데려가셨는지를 말해주고 있습니다: “바로가 백성을 보낸 후에 블레셋 사람의 땅의 길은 가까울지라도 하나님이 그들을 그 길로 인도하지 아니하셨으니 이는 하나님이 말씀하시기를 이 백성이 전쟁을 하게 되면 마음을 돌이켜 애굽으로 돌아갈까 하셨음이라.” – 출애굽기 13:17 이 말씀을 통해 우리는 간단하지만 우리에게 아주 중요한 것을 알게 됩니다. 이것은 우리가 언제나 우리 기억 속에 확실히 가지고 있어야 하는 것입니다. 주님께서는 그분의 자녀와, 어떤 사건이 일어나기 전에 그 일을 아십니다. 때때로 이런 경우와 같은 경우에 그분께서는 그분의 자녀를 지중해 해안을 따라 가는 일반적인 길을 통해 11일 걸리는 길이 아닌 40년이라는 긴 여정의 먼 길로 인도하시기로 결정하실 것입니다. 우리가 미래를 볼 수 없기 때문에 우리는 가장 현명한 방법은 더 가까운 길을 택하여 약속의 땅으로 더 일찍 도착하는 것이라고 생각할 수도 있습니다. 우리는 모두 우리의 지혜가 아주 제한적이며 이 우주를 창조하신 주님께서 우리에게 주시는 교훈과 가르침과 지침이 훨씬 더 현명하다는 것을 알아야 합니다. 제가 여러분의 주의를 끌고 싶은 두 번째 것은 모세가 이스라엘 자손과 함께 선조 아브라함, 이삭, 야곱과 함께 헤브론 막벨라 굴에 매장하기 위해 요셉의 유골(미라로 만든)을 가져가도록 하는 것을 잊지 않았다는 것입니다. 이번 주에 읽는 토라에서 세 번째는 당연히 이스라엘 자손이 홍해를 건넌 후 모세가 이스라엘 자손과 함께 부른 노래입니다. 다음은 제가 모세의 노래 중에서 가장 중요한 부분이라고 생각하는 구절입니다: “여호와는 나의 힘이요 노래시며 나의 구원이시로다 그는 나의 하나님이시니 내가 그를 찬송할 것이요 내 아버지의 하나님이시니 내가 그를 높이리로다 여호와는 용사시니 여호와는 그의 이름이시로다.” – 출애굽기 15:2-3 이 노래 중 모세의 이 말 속에서 무엇이 그토록 두드러집니까? 이 말은 복잡하지 않은 말입니다. 간단하지만 “여호와는 나의 힘이요”라는 문구는 우리 모두가 가장 심각하게 받아들여야 하는 말입니다. 지금은 우리 생애 중에서 약하고 무력하다고 느끼며 삶이 너무 힘들고 우리가 견딜 수 있는 이상인 때입니다. 이렇게 약한 순간에 “여호와는 나의 힘이요” “여호와는 나의 구원이시다”라는 이 문구를 기억하고 반복해서 말하는 것이 중요합니다. 종종, 우리는 도움을 구해 사람을 바라봅니다. 그것은, 우리가 우리 하늘 아버지께서 온 우주의 주인이시며 그분께서 우리와 우리를 둘러싼 모든 것을 지으신 분이시라는 것을 기억하는 한, 괜찮습니다. 우리가 이스라엘의 전능하신 하나님으로부터 힘을 길어낼 수 있는 것은, 그분께서 우리의 구원이 되셨기 때문입니다. 네 번째는 인간의 변덕스러운 성품입니다. 일이 조금 어려워지는 듯 하자마자 이스라엘 자손은 곧바로 불평하며 애굽으로 돌아가자고 구하기 시작했습니다. 그냥 약간의 어려움에 이스라엘 자손의 하나님을 믿는 믿음이 부족함이 보입니다. 기록된 바와 같이: “이스라엘 자손 온 회중이 그 광야에서 모세와 아론을 원망하여 이스라엘 자손이 그들에게 이르되 우리가 애굽 땅에서 고기 가마 곁에 앉아 있던 때와 떡을 배불리 먹던 때에 여호와의 손에 죽었더라면 좋았을 것을 너희가 이 광야로 우리를 인도해 내어 이 온 회중이 주려 죽게 하는도다.” – 출애굽기 16:2-3 사람들은 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 약속의 땅보다 예전에 더 익숙하고 안정된 비참함과 고생을 구합니다. 사람들이 미지의 것과 불안한 것에 대해 가지는 두려움은 종종 진짜 깊은 믿음에서 나오는 힘과 용기와 결기를 갖지 못하게 합니다. 역사를 만든 사람들은 희망이 현실적이지 않고 닿을 수 없었던 캄캄한 시간에 그들에게 희망을 준 미래의 약속에 대한 그들의 비전과 꿈을 믿는 믿음으로 역사를 만들었습니다. 불평하는 것은 쉬우며, 주님의 약속에 불안해하는 것은 쉽습니다. 반면에 주님께서는 이스라엘 자손을 꾸짖지 않으십니다. 그분께서는 사실 그들의 연약함을 아시고 그들에게 우리가 기대할 만한 것 이상을 주십니다. 주님께서는 그들에게 매일 아침 신선한 만나를, 안식일을 위해서는 아침 일찍 일어나 나가 만나를 모으지 않아도 되도록 두 배의 신선한 만나를 공짜로 주십니다! 제가 이번 토라 포션과 관련하여 말하고 싶은 마지막 것은 역사의 마지막에 주님께서 다시 오셔서 그분의 보좌에 앉으시고, 흰 옷을 입은 모든 성도가 그분 주위에 모였을 때, 우리가 두 개의 노래를, 제 생각에 둘 다 모세의 노래와 연관된 두 개의 노래를 부를 것이라는 것입니다. 다음은 요한계시록 15:2-4 말씀입니다: “또 내가 보니 불이 섞인 유리 바다 같은 것이 있고 짐승과 그의 우상과 그의 이름의 수를 이기고 벗어난 자들이 유리 바다 가에 서서 하나님의 거문고를 가지고 하나님의 종 모세의 노래, 어린 양의 노래를 불러 이르되 주 하나님 곧 전능하신 이시여 하시는 일이 크고 놀라우시도다 만국의 왕이시여 주의 길이 의롭고 참되시도다 주여 누가 주의 이름을 두려워하지 아니하며 영화롭게 하지 아니하오리이까 오직 주만 거룩하시니이다 주의 의로우신 일이 나타났으매 만국이 와서 주께 경배하리이다 하더라.” – 요한계시록 15:2-4 유월절은 사도 바울이, 자신의 삶을 주님께 드리고 성령으로 성화된 유대인과 비-유대인으로 구성된 교회였던 고린도교회에 지키라 명한 한 절기입니다. 다음은 그 본문 말씀입니다(저는 여러분에게 뭘 하라거나 하지 말라고 말씀드리는 것이 아니라, 그냥 여러분에게 다음 말씀이 우리를 위해 고린도전서 5:7,8에 기록된 사도 바울의 말임을 지적하려는 것입니다.): “너희는 누룩 없는 자인데 새 덩어리가 되기 위하여 묵은 누룩을 내버리라 우리의 유월절 양 곧 그리스도께서 희생되셨느니라 이러므로 우리가 명절을 지키되 묵은 누룩으로도 말고 악하고 악의에 찬 누룩으로도 말고 누룩이 없이 오직 순전함과 진실함의 떡으로 하자.” – 고린도전서 5:7,8 여드레 동안 무교병(누룩 없이 만든 빵), 마짜를 먹는 것은 쉽지 않지만, 마짜를 먹는 것은 우리 조상들이 믿음으로 뭘 먹어야 했는지 가시적으로 상기시켜 주는 것입니다. 이것은 오늘날 우리에게, 이스라엘 자손을 위해서 뿐만 아니라, 예슈아(예수님)의 삶과 가르침과 희생과, 우리의 구원을 위한 그분의 피 흘림을 통해 자신이 하나님의 백성이 되었다고 여기는 모든 사람들을 위해 역사를 만든 사건들과 우리가 연관되어 있음을 상기시켜 주는 것입니다. 선지자의 글에서 읽는 부분은 사무엘하 22:1-51입니다. 저는 여러분에게 다윗왕의 노래의 첫 몇 절을 가져와 모세도 다윗왕도 쉬운 삶을 살지 않았음을 거듭 말씀드리고자 합니다. 그들은 둘 다 목숨을 지키기 위해 도피했어야 했고 원수에게서 뿐만 아니라 자기 가족과 동족에게서 학대와 배척을 겪었어야 했습니다. “이르되 여호와는 나의 반석이시요 나의 요새시요 나를 위하여 나를 건지시는 자시오 내가 피할 나의 반석의 하나님이시요 나의 방패시요 나의 구원의 뿔이시요 나의 높은 망대시요 그에게 피할 나의 피난처시요 나의 구원자시라 나를 폭력에서 구원하셨도다 내가 찬송 받으실 여호와께 아뢰리니 내 원수들에게서 구원을 받으리로다 사망의 물결이 나를 에우고 불의의 창수가 나를 두렵게 하였으며 스올의 줄이 나를 두르고 사망의 올무가 내게 이르렀도다 내가 환난 중에서 여호와께 아뢰며 나의 하나님께 아뢰었더니 그가 그의 성전에서 내 소리를 들으심이여 나의 부르짖음이 그의 귀에 들렸도다.” – 사무엘하 22:2-7 사울 왕이 아직 권좌에 있는 채로 사무엘이 다윗에게 이스라엘 왕으로 기름 부은 이후 다윗의 삶은 쉽지 않았습니다. 그렇습니다, 그의 생애 끝으로 가던 때의 다윗의 이 말은 하나님의 나라에서 섬기는 모든 사람에게 힘의 원천과 용기를 북돋우는 것이 됩니다. 저는 개인적으로 모세의 노래로부터도 다윗의 노래로부터도 힘과 용기를 길어냅니다.

저를 위해서도 기도해 주십시오. 지난 며칠 동안 저는 기력이 없고 춥게 느껴졌고, 제 왼쪽 다리와 등허리에 통증이 있어 고생했습니다. 저는 이것이 그저 늙은 사람이 보통 가지고 있는 통증이라고 생각하고 그러기를 바랍니다. 주님께서는 고치시고 강건케 하시고 힘을 주실 수 있으십니다.
저는 5월 2일에 눈 수술이 예정되어 있습니다. 이 수술은 제 왼쪽 눈에 합니다. 제 왼쪽 눈은 1951년 이래로 실명되었는데, 지금 예루살렘의 최고 의사들이 이 눈에 수술을 하여 제가 양쪽 눈으로 볼 수 있게 되기를 바라고 있습니다. 제게는 이것이 기적이나 다름없는 일입니다. 그래도 저는 여러분의 기도가 필요합니다. 마르시아도 저 다음에 5월 중에 한 쪽 눈에 백내장 수술을 받을 것입니다.

The Jerusalem Prayer List – April 1, 2021

We are in the middle of the Passover holiday and this Shabbat’s reading starts in Exodus 13:17- 15:26. The children of Israel have already left Egypt and they are now on the run to get away from the Egyptians. The Egyptian Pharaoh wakes up and understands that Egypt needs the Hebrew slaves.
Then Pharaoh organizes his army and chariots and chases the Israelites with his chariots. The Israelites are trapped with the Egyptians on their tail and the Red Sea in front of them. One of the great dramatic moments of Israeli history. The song of Moses is sung to celebrate the victory over the Egyptians that drowned in the Sea after the children of Israel crossed the sea on dry ground. You might be confused because we were already reading last Shabbat from the book of Leviticus and now, we are back reading from the Exodus. This Shabbat is the Shabbat of Passover, so the readings are special for the holiday. We are commanded by God to celebrate the feasts and this is the reason why we repeat the story of the Exodus from Egypt on the Shabbat that falls on Passover. From the prophets we read on this Shabbat from 2 Samuel 22:1-51. From the New Testament we read from the book of Revelation 15:1-4. Tradition is rather obvious that we are relating to the crossing of the Red Sea. This Torah Reading and the reading from the prophets and the New Testament relate to the same thing – the crossing of the Red Sea by Moses and the children of Israel – at just the right moment. With Pharaoh and his chariots drowning in the Red Sea. Our reading from Exodus 13:17, tells us why God didn’t lead the Israelites through the short route, but took them on a long route: “Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, ‘Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.’” – Exodus 13:17 [NKJV] By this comment we understand something simple but of great importance for us. This is something that we always must keep secure in our memory. The Lord knows His children and the events before they happen. Sometimes like in this case He might make decisions and guide His children the long way, a 40-year-long journey rather than 11 days through the normal route that passes along the Mediterranean coast. Because we don’t see the future, we might think that the wisest thing to do is to take the shorter route and get to the promised land quicker. We must all realize that our wisdom is very limited and the instructions and teachings and guidelines that the Lord who created this universe give us, are much wiser. The second thing that I want to call to your attention is that Moses didn’t forget to take the bones of Joseph (mummified) with the children of Israel in order to bury Joseph with his forefathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Cave of Machpelah in Hebron. The third thing in this Torah reading is of course the song that Moses sang with the children of Israel after they crossed the Red Sea. Here are some verses that I consider as highlights from the Song of Moses: “The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him. The Lord is a man of war; The Lord is His name.” – Exodus 15:2-3 [NKJV] What is so sticking in these words of Moses in this song? These are not complicated words, they are simple, but the phrase “The Lord is my strength.” Is one that we all ought to take most seriously. There are moments in our lives when we feel that we are weak and helpless, and that life is so hard and beyond our ability to bear. In these moments of weakness, it is important to remember and repeat this phrase: “The Lord is my strength.” “The Lord is my salvation.” Often, we look to man for help and that is okay, as long as we remember that our Heavenly Father, is the Master of the Universe, and He is the one who created us and all that is around us. We can draw strength from the almighty God of Israel, because He has become our salvation. The fourth is the fickly character of mankind. As soon as things got a little tougher, the Children of Israel started complaining and asking to go back to Egypt. Just a little hardship and the lack of faith in God of the children of Israel appears, as it is written: “Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. And the children of Israel said to them, ‘Oh, that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.’” – Exodus 16:2-3 [NKJV] People seek the old familiar and secure, misery and suffering, rather than the promised land of milk and honey. The fear of the unknown and the insecurity that people have often keeps them from appropriating the strength and courage and determination that comes from true and deep faith. The people who have made history have made history by having faith in their vision and dreams in the promises of the future that gave them hope in the dark hours where hope was not realistic and was beyond reach. It is easy to complain, and it is easy to be insecure in the promises of the Lord. The Lord on the other hand doesn’t reprimand the children of Israel, He actually understands their weakness and gives them above and beyond what we would expect. The Lord gives them the mana, fresh every morning and a double portion of mana for Shabbat so that they don’t have to get up early in the morning and go and gather fresh Mana, and for free! The last thing that I want to relate to this Torah portion is that in the end of history when the Lord comes back and is seated on His throne, and all the saints dressed in white are gathered around Him, we will be singing two songs that in my opinion, are both connected to the Song of Moses. Here is the text from Revelation 15:2-4: “And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, For Your judgments have been manifested.” – Revelation 15:2-4 [NKJV] Passover is a holiday that is commanded by the apostle Paul for the church in Corinth, a church that was comprised of Jews and non-Jews who had given their life to the Lord and had been sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Here is the text (I am not telling you what to do or not to do, I am just pointing out to you that the following words are the words of the apostle Paul recorded for us in 1 Corinthians 5:7,8): “Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore, let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” – 1 Corinthians 5:7,8 [NKJV] It is not easy to eat unleavened bread, matzah, for eight days, but eating the matzah is a tangible reminder what our forefathers in the faith had to eat and it is a reminder for us today that we are connected to the events that shaped history not only for the Children of Israel, but for all those who see themselves as being a part of the people of God through the life, teaching, and sacrifice of Yeshua (Jesus) and the shedding of His blood for our salvation. The portion read from the Prophets is from 2 Samuel 22:1-51, I will bring you just from the first lines of King David’s song and repeat that neither Moses nor King David had easy lives. They both had to flee for their lives and suffer abuse and rejection not only from their enemies but also from their own families and their own nation. “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, you save me from violence. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So, shall I be saved from my enemies. ‘When the waves of death surrounded me, the floods of ungodliness made me afraid. The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the Lord and cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry entered His ears.’” – 2 Samuel 22:2-7 [NKJV] David’s life was not easy after Samuel anointed him as King of Israel, while King Saul was still on his throne. Yes, toward the end of his life these words of David become a source of strength and inspiration to everyone who is serving in God’s Kingdom. I personally draw strength and encouragement from both the song of Moses and the song of David.
Please continue to pray for Marcia. She is definitely slowed down significantly. She has very little energy and she rests most of the day. I am praying and believing in the Lord’s grace for healing Marcia and restoring her ability to function and travel with me and to be a blessing to the local congregation and community and to our brothers and friends around the world. Pray for Marcia, please!
Pray also for me. In the last few days I have been feeling weak and cold, and suffer from pain in my left leg and also my back sides. I suppose and hope that these are just an old man’s normal pains and aches. The Lord can heal and strengthen and give energy.
I am scheduled for eye surgery on May 2nd. The surgery will be on my left eye. My left eye has been blind since 1951, and now the top doctors in Jerusalem are anxious to do surgery on that eye and hope that I will be able to see from both eyes. For me this is no less than a miracle, but I need your prayers. Marcia will also have cataract surgery on one of her eyes sometimes after me in the month of May.
Please keep praying for the family of Adam R. who is the person who does the media work in Netivyah, recording, editing our writings and videos. Dear brother Adam R.
Please consider helping Netivyah to continue caring and feeding the poor of Jerusalem and blessing the people of this city that need help to feed their children and families.
Also we need your prayers and help to continue to do the Lord's work with the youth in Jerusalem, and with the publication of the “Teaching from Zion” Magazine that goes around the world in about 4000 issues and gives people a different perspective of the life and practices of the Bible and the Early Church in Israel.
Printing the Teaching from Zion Magazine requires finances for several thousands of issues and mailing costs for each issue is several thousands of dollars. We are not charging money for every service and teaching that we do around the world. We have our M.O. from the very beginning of Netivyah in the year 1980, we want to share the Lord’s goodness free of charge. We are teaching around the world, and now we are doing it through modern technology and feeding spiritual truths and teachings. Just a few hours ago, I gave a teaching of nearly three hours to leaders from Italy. All our teachings both at home and around the world are carried out free-of-charge for those who receive them, but at high cost to Netivyah for the production and printing of these valuable teachings.
The Hamotzi program for feeding the needy of Jerusalem is ongoing and has not stopped during most of the coronavirus lockdown and quarantine. The number of needy people who come to receive food from our program has increased and overall need has increased.
Please pray for Netivyah and for the Netivyah leadership and find ways to partner and participate in the great blessing that the ministry of Netivyah is here in Israel and also around the world. Please pray and seek ways to partner and contribute financially for the Lord’s work in Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.
Please continue to pray for a very special kindergarten in Jerusalem “Little Hearts.” The director of this special kindergarten is one of our own from the congregation.
Keep praying for a dear sister, Livia Schnell Nothen. Please keep brother Philip Marc in your prayers. Pray for Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias. He is the father of a dear sister in Brazil.
Pray for all those wonderful, dedicated brothers and sisters in Korea who stood with Israel and with Netivyah to revive and to not forget their first love for Israel and for Netivyah.
Danah our daughter, needs much prayer for her health and her situation. Our granddaughter Noam is a senior in high-school and working with Zoom to finish her high school. Pray for the Lord to give Noam guidance and direction for graduation from high school.
Our grandson Joseph also needs prayer to be able to get into college with proper scholarships. Please lift Barry our son and his family, Beth, and Joey our grandson to be protected and spared any contact and infection of the coronavirus. Marcia’s mother June is 91 years old and her health is failing.
Our dear sister Hadassah continues her healing and recovery from cancer. Keep her in your prayers.
I am adding a new prayer request from a leader of God’s people in India, Joy Mathew. Joy has a serious heart condition and has asked for prayer.

Pray for Sister Yoko Nagumo in Japan. Sister Yoko had a stroke, and we pray that her recovery will be quick and complete.
From Chennai, India, please remember Pastor Isaac. Pastor Isaac is an older man with severe kidney problems and has to have dialysis several times per week. Remember Tony and Louisa Tam, and our brothers and sisters at the 611 Church, and the other churches who love God and love Israel in that great city. Remember in your prayers the Cohen family in Hong Kong.
Just a word of grace before the mercy seat of the Almighty will be heard in favor of these brothers and Um Mahmud Abu-Eid and Jimmy Abu-Eid and his family, Keijo and Salme our dear brothers in Finland, Tim Tucker, Satu-Maria, Sinni Tuuli, Anne Mirjami our dear sister and all our other brothers and sisters in Finland who need our prayers, Eva H., Patty, Andrea, Julia and Victor, and Aaron Tani, and Hillel and his wife.
We continue to pray for Zhou Wenrian, Abe family, Toru San, Takeo Sensei, Daisuke Sensei, Tomoko San, Yumi and her father Pastor Ohara, George, and Pastor Isaac in Chennai, India.
I have just received a prayer request from a dear sister from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her father who is 70 years old and diabetic has contracted the COVID-19 virus. His name is Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias.
Please see your prayer as casting a vote for healing before the Lord and His angels in Heaven in favor of every brother and sister that you are praying for. Just a word of grace for all of us is a refreshing spirit. Take your prayers before the mercy seat of the Almighty to be heard in favor of those that you are lifting in prayer.

Ahuva. Please pray for a dear brother who is well into his 90’s and lost his wife a couple of weeks ago. His name is Dov H. Please keep in your prayers a dear sister who attends our congregation in Jerusalem. Her name is Hadassah and she just had cancer surgery. Pray for Hadassah for a full recovery and remission from any cancer in her body.
Pray for Israel. We are going through terrible riots and violence in the streets of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv and other places around the country. These riots are motivated by the fact that much of the populace of Israel does not understand what the government is doing in relationship to the coronavirus pandemic.
I would like a new prayer request for a dear brother Yehuda Hochman who lives in the Negev Desert. Yehuda has to receive dialysis treatment several times per week. Please also pray for a dear congregation in the interior of the State of Bahia in Brazil in the small town of Alaguinia. The pastor of that church (that is crazy with love for Israel) and all of the congregation is so very supportive of Israel.
I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to visit our webpage and do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.

The coronavirus is threatening the economy of the world with a great recession and depression. Some of our major supporters have already lowered the amount of their support. They have done this not only toward Netivyah, but for all the ministries that they are supporting, and they are many. I would like to first ask you to pray about your part in supporting Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.
Second, I would like for you who stand with us in prayer and financially to do your absolute best to stay on board with us and communicate. We realize that times will be hard for several years, but we also realize that God has chosen and blessed you for such a time as this.
Third, please pray for a new project that we are starting in Israel in partnership with the Houses for Healing ministry from Abilene, Texas.
I wish all of you, who stand with Israel and who pray for Jerusalem, the best of the Lord’s blessings and the fulfillment of all His promises to His faithful children.
