예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2021년 3월 25일

이번 안식일은 저희가 레위기를 읽은 지 두 번째 주로, 토라 포션은 레위기 6:1~8:36, 파라샷 짜브입니다. 하프타라는 말라기 3:4-24이고, 신약성경에서 읽는 말씀은 히브리서 7:23~8:6입니다.

성경 전체 중에서 가장 이해하기 난해한 문제 중 하나가 제물과 제사제도 문제입니다. 이것이 아주 힘든 이유는 하나님의 말씀이 이 주제에 대해 우리에게 주는 복잡한 신호 때문입니다. 우리에게는 동물을 제물로 드리라는 분명한 명령과 제단에 가까이 나아갈 때 어떻게 하라는 모든 면에 대한 아주 상세한 설명이 있습니다. 또 다른 한편으로는 우리에게 하나님께서는 우리 제사가 필요하지 않으시며 심지어 원하시지도 않는다는 가르침도 있습니다.

다음은 제사를 드리라는 명령과 하나님께서 사실은 제사를 필요로 하지 않으신다는 제사의 강등과 선포의 몇 가지 예입니다:

“여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되 아론과 그의 자손에게 명령하여 이르라 번제의 규례는 이러하니라 번제물은 아침까지 제단 위에 있는 석쇠 위에 두고 제단의 불이 그 위에서 꺼지지 않게 할 것이요.” – 레위기 6:8,9

“육체의 생명은 피에 있음이라 내가 이 피를 너희에게 주어 제단에 뿌려 너희의 생명을 위하여 속죄하게 하였나니 생명이 피에 있으므로 피가 죄를 속하느니라 그러므로 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 말하기를 너희 중에 아무도 피를 먹지 말며 너희 중에 거류하는 거류민이라도 피를 먹지 말라 하였나니” – 레위기 17:11,12

다음은 이 문제의 다른 면입니다:

“만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 너희 희생제물과 번제물의 고기를 아울러 먹으라 사실은 내가 너희 조상들을 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낸 날에 번제나 희생에 대하여 말하지 아니하며 명령하지 아니하고 오직 내가 이것을 그들에게 명령하여 이르기를 너희는 내 목소리를 들으라 그리하면 나는 너희 하나님이 되겠고 너희는 내 백성이 되리라 너희는 내가 명령한 모든 길로 걸어가라 그리하면 복을 받으리라 하였으나 그들이 순종하지 아니하며 귀를 기울이지도 아니하고 자신들의 악한 마음의 꾀와 완악한 대로 행하여 그 등을 내게로 돌리고 그 얼굴을 향하지 아니하였으며” – 예레미야 7:21–24

선지서에는 토라에 따른 이스라엘의 제사 관례를 거부함이 없습니다. 선지자들의 예루살렘에서의 성전 숭배에 대한 거부와 비난은 쿰란 (에세네파) 공동체에 이어졌습니다. 이사야와 예레미야에 따르면 온 우주의 창조주이신 주님께서 원하신 것은 성전에서의 제사를 취소하는 것이 아니라, 예배와 제사를 예배자가 이스라엘의 전능하신 하나님과 맺고 있는 관계 위에 세워진 예루살렘 성전과 제물이라는 관점에 두는 것이었습니다.

선지자 다니엘은 서기 70년 예루살렘 성전의 몰락보다 400년도 넘게 더 일찍 예루살렘 성전의 몰락과 제사제도의 끝과, 메시아의 죽음을 예언했습니다.

“예순두 이레 후에 기름 부음을 받은 자가 끊어져 없어질 것이며 장차 한 왕의 백성이 와서 그 성읍과 성소를 무너뜨리려니와 그의 마지막은 홍수에 휩쓸림 같을 것이며 또 끝까지 전쟁이 있으리니 황폐할 것이 작정되었느니라 그가 장차 많은 사람들과 더불어 한 이레 동안의 언약을 굳게 맺고 그가 그 이레의 절반에 제사와 예물을 금지할 것이며 또 포악하여 가증한 것이 날개를 의지하여 설 것이며 또 이미 정한 종말까지 진노가 황폐하게 하는 자에게 쏟아지리라 하였느니라 하니라.” – 다니엘 9:26,27

유대 역사의 이번 장을 해석하는 것은 간단치가 않습니다. 이스라엘 민족은 이제 막 다시 모여 고향 이스라엘 땅과 예루살렘 성읍으로 돌아오는 과정 중에 있습니다. 이스라엘 민족의 이 모든 과정, 귀향 갔다가 다시 고향으로 돌아오는 것, 에스겔 37장에서 묘사된 대로 마른 뼈가 부활하는 것은 도중에 있지만, 그 방향은 분명합니다.

하나님의 모든 약속이 선지자들이 말한 대로 이루어지는 과정 중에 있습니다. 가시적으로 현실이 되어가고 있는 예언이 있어도, 예수아의 제자들인 우리 모두가 이스라엘의 육적, 영적 회복의 일과 비전에 동참하는 것이 중요합니다.

예루살렘에 성전을 재건하고 싶은 소원은 유대민족의 영혼에 깊이 배어들어 있습니다. 저희는 저희 국가(國歌) “하티크바(소망, 희망)” 속에, 유대의 정신이 우리 속에 살아 있는 한, 우리가 예루살렘과 이스라엘 땅이 회복되는 것을 보기를 꿈꾸며 바라며 일하는 한, 우리의 희망은 말라 없어지지 않을 것이라고 부릅니다. 그러나 우리는 가톨릭으로 강제 개종할 수 밖에 없었던 유대인들이 다시 고향 이스라엘 땅과 예루살렘 성읍으로 돌아오는 알리야를 섬기며 세우고 데려올 것입니다. 우리는 북미 유대인들이 그들의 옷가방과 은행통장을 싸서 고향 이스라엘 땅으로 돌아오고 있는 것을 볼 것입니다.

우리는 이스라엘의 회복과, 동유럽 정통유대교의 인조 전통과 태도의 족쇄에서 풀려나는 자유를 볼 것입니다. 우리는 나사렛 예슈아께서 이스라엘의 왕으로 왕관을 받으시고 기름 부음 받으심과 함께 유대 신앙을 실행하는 것을 회복하는 것을 볼 것입니다. 이스라엘의 선지자들이 하나님의 말씀에 기록한 모든 말이 성경 속의 선지자들이 그것을 본 그대로 실현될 것입니다! 광야가 기뻐하고, 마른 땅이 생수의 강이 되고 오색찬란한 꽃이 카펫 담요로 마른 땅을 덮을 것입니다.

메시아께서 하늘에서 내려오실 것입니다. 모든 눈이 보고 모든 귀가 다윗의 자손이 예루살렘으로 다시 오시는 것을 알리는 쇼파르가 울리는 소리를 들을 것입니다. 우리의 레위기 토라 포션에 묘사된 장엄한 힘을 가지고 예루살렘에 영광스러운 제사장 및 레위인의 제도가 회복되고, 제2성전 시대에 있던 죄나 부패는 없이 완벽하게 기능하게 될 것입니다.

저는 이 기도 목록의 이 부분을 이사야 선지자의 말로 끝낼 것입니다. 성전이 다시 세워질지, 저는 모르겠습니다. 개인적으로 저는 성전이 필요하지 않으며 그냥 제단 위에 불사르기 위해 동물을 죽일 필요도 없습니다. 저는 21세기에 주님께서 그런 제사를 요구하리라 생각하지 않습니다. 그분께서 몸소 우리의 대속제물이시며 모든 인류의 궁극적인 산 제물이시기 때문입니다.

그러나 저는 이스라엘의 회복과 땅의 회복과 광야에 꽃이 피어날 것을 약속한 이사야 선지자의 말과 모든 선지자들의 말을 믿습니다. 하나님의 선지자들을 통해 주신 하나님의 이 약속들을 받고, 이스라엘 땅을 재건하고 사람들을 회복시키는 육적, 영적 일에 동참하여 일할 길을 찾아봅시다.

우리는 이사야와 다른 선지자들에게서 시온에서부터 그 외 온 세상에 하나님의 증인이 되라고 부름을 받았습니다. 하나님의 이 약속들의 성취의 방관자가 아닌, 일부가 되도록 기도하며 가능한 모든 길을 찾아봅시다.

예슈아께서 옷가방을 싸고 시온으로 다시 오실 채비를 갖추고 계십니다. 우리도 채비를 갖추어 언제든 그분을 영접하고 흰옷을 입고 그분의 뒤를 따르는 행렬에 들어가 그분의 보좌 주위에 모여 모세의 노래, 어린양의 노래를 부를 준비가 되어 있어야 합니다.

“여호와께서 이르시되 내가 아이를 갖도록 하였은즉 해산하게 하지 아니하겠느냐 네 하나님이 이르시되 나는 해산하게 하는 이인즉 어찌 태를 닫겠느냐 하시니라 예루살렘을 사랑하는 자들이여 다 그 성읍과 함께 기뻐하라 다 그 성읍과 함께 즐거워하라 그 성을 위하여 슬퍼하는 자들이여 다 그 성의 기쁨으로 말미암아 그 성과 함께 기뻐하라 너희가 젖을 빠는 것 같이 그 위로하는 품에서 만족하겠고 젖을 넉넉히 빤 것 같이 그 영광의 풍성함으로 말미암아 즐거워하리라 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 보라 내가 그에게 평강을 강 같이, 그에게 뭇 나라의 영광을 넘치는 시내 같이 주리니 너희가 그 성읍의 젖을 빨 것이며 너희가 옆에 안기며 그 무릎에서 놀 것이라 어머니가 자식을 위로함 같이 내가 너희를 위로할 것인즉 너희가 예루살렘에서 위로를 받으리니” – 이사야 66:9-13

마르시아를 위해 계속 특별 기도를 해주시기 바랍니다. 주님께 찬양 드리는 것은 마르시아가 코로나바이러스 1차와 2차 백신을 맞았기 때문입니다. 이제 마르시아와 저 둘 다 이스라엘 안팎으로 여행하는 것을 허가하는 녹색여권이 있습니다. 저희는 주님의 손 안에서, 좋은 약으로 인해, 무엇보다 우리 주님의 보호하시고 안정된 손 안에서 축복받고 위험하지 않게 느껴집니다.

마르시아를 위해 계속 기도해주시기 바랍니다. 마르시아는 확실히 상당히 기력이 없어졌습니다. 에너지가 거의 없고 하루 중 대부분의 시간을 누워있습니다. 저는 주님의 은혜로 마르시아를 고쳐주시어 기동하며 저와 함께 여행하며 저희 회중과 공동체와 전 세계에 흩어져 있는 우리 형제들과 친구들에게 축복이 되도록 회복시켜 주실 것을 기도하며 그렇게 될 줄 믿습니다. 마르시아를 위해 기도해 주시기 바랍니다!

This Shabbat is the second week that we are reading from Leviticus 6:1-8:36. Parashat Tzav. Haftarah: Malachi 3:4 - 3:24, From the New Testament the reading is Hebrews 7:23 - 8:6.

One of the most complex issues to understand in the whole bible is the issue of the sacrifices and the sacrificial system. What makes it so difficult is the mixed signals that the Word of God gives us on this subject. We have clear commands and great details to sacrifice animals and how to do every aspect of approaching the altar of sacrifice. On the other hand we have instruction that God doesn’t need or even want our sacrifices.

Here are just a few examples of both the command to sacrifice and also the degrading of the sacrifices and the proclamation that God doesn’t really need the sacrifices:

“Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Command Aaron and his sons, saying, “This is the law of the burnt offering: The burnt offering shall be on the hearth upon the altar all night until morning, and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it.”’” – Leviticus 6:8,9 [NKJV]

“‘“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.” ‘Therefore, I said to the children of Israel, “No one among you shall eat blood, nor shall any stranger who dwells among you eat blood.”’” – Leviticus 17:11,12 [NKJV]

Here is the other side of the issue:

“Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat meat. For I did not speak to your fathers, or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices. But this is what I commanded them, saying, “Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.” Yet they did not obey or incline their ear but followed the counsels and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward.’” – Jeremiah 7:21–24 [NKJV]

In the prophets there is no rejection of the sacrificial practices of Israel according to the Torah.The rejection and condemnation of the Prophets of the temple cult in Jerusalem, was continued by the community of (Essenes) from Qumran. The desire of the Lord creator of the Universe according to Isaiah and Jeremiah was not to cancel the sacrifices in the temple, it was to put the worship in the Temple in Jerusalem and the sacrificial into a perspective that is built on relationship of the worshiper with the almighty God of Israel.

The prophet Daniel more than 400 years earlier than the fall of the Temple in Jerusalem in the year 70 C.E., prophesied the fall of the Temple and the end of the sacrificial system in Jerusalem, and the death of the Messiah.

“And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war desolations are determined. Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week, He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate.” – Daniel 9:26,27 [NKJV]

The interpretation of this chapter of Jewish history is not simple. The nation of Israel is just now in the process of regrouping and returning home to the land of Israel and to the city of Jerusalem. Israel as a nation, and the return of the exiles back home, and the resurrection of the dry bones as described in Ezekiel 37, all these processes are in the middle of the road, but the direction is clear.

All of the promises of God are in the process of fulfillment of the words of the prophets. Even with predictions visibly becoming a reality it is important for all of us, the disciples of Yeshua, to come and join in the work and vision of the restoration of Israel, physically and spiritually.

The desire to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem is deeply engrained in the very soul of the Jewish nation. We sing in our national Hymn “Hatikvah” that as long as there is a Jewish soul living in us, as long as we dream and hope and work to see the restoration of Jerusalem and the land of Israel restored, our hope will not dry up, but we will serve and build and bring the Aliyah of Jews who have been forced to convert to Catholicism back home to the land of Israel and to the city of Jerusalem. We will see the North American Jews packing up their suitcases and their bank accounts and returning home to the land of Israel.

We will see the restoration of Israel and the freedom from the shackles of East European Orthodox Jewish manmade traditions and attitudes. We will see the restoration of a practicing Jewish faith with Yeshua of Nazareth being crowned and anointed as the King of Israel. Every word that the prophets of Israel recorded in the Word of God will become a reality just as the prophets in the Bible envisioned it! The desert will rejoice, and the dry grounds will become rivers of fresh water and flowers will cover the dry land with colored blankets of many-colored carpets.

The Messiah will come down from heaven and every eye will see and every ear will hear the shofar blast announcing the return of the son of David to Jerusalem. The glorious system of priests and Levites in Jerusalem with the magnificent energy that is described in our Torah reading in Leviticus will be restored and functioning perfectly without the sins and the corruption that existed during the Second Temple Period.

I will end this section of this prayer list with the words of Isaiah the prophet. If the Temple will be rebuilt, I don’t know. Personally, I don’t need a temple and I don’t need to kill animals just in order to burn them on the altar. I also don’t think that in the 21st Century the Lord will require such sacrifices, because He Himself is our atonement and the ultimate living sacrifice for all of humanity.

However, I do believe the words of Isaiah the prophet and all the words of all the prophets that promised the restoration of Israel and the restoration of the Land and the blossoming of the desert. Let us receive these promises of God through the words of His prophets and seek ways to participate and to work and join in the physical and spiritual work of the rebuilding and restoring of the land and of the people of Israel.

We are called by Isaiah and by the other prophets to be His witnesses from Zion to the rest of the world. Let us pray and seek every way to be a part of the fulfillment of these promises of God and not be on the sidelines.

Yeshua is packing His suitcases and preparing for His return to Zion and we ought to be preparing and be ready to receive Him and to follow Him in the parade dressed in white and to gather around His throne ready to sing the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb.

“‘Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?” says the Lord. ‘Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?’ says your God. ‘Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you who love her; Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her; That you may feed and be satisfied with the consolation of her bosom, that you may drink deeply and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.’ For thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream. Then you shall feed; On her sides shall you be carried and be dandled on her knees. As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.’” – Isaiah 66:9-13 [NKJV]

Please continue to pray a special prayer for Marcia. Praise the Lord she received the first and the second vaccination for the Coronavirus. Now both Marcia and I have the green passport that permits us to travel in and out of Israel. We feel blessed and secure in the hands of the Lord and in the good medicine and science and much more in the protective and secure hands of our Lord.

Please continue to pray for Marcia. She is definitely slowed down significantly. She has very little energy and she rests most of the day. I am praying and believing in the Lord’s grace for healing Marcia and restoring her ability to function and travel with me and to be a blessing to the local congregation and community and to our brothers and friends around the world. Pray for Marcia, please!

We have a new prayer request from a dear family in Jerusalem that needs urgent divine help and guidance. The family of our dear brother Adam R.

Please consider helping Netivyah to continue caring and feeding the poor of Jerusalem and blessing the people of this city that need help to feed their children and families.

Also we need your prayers and help to continue to do the Lord's work with the youth in Jerusalem, and with the publication of the “Teaching from Zion” Magazine that goes around the world in about 4000 issues and gives people a different perspective of the life and practices of the Bible and the Early Church in Israel.

Printing the Teaching from Zion Magazine requires finances for several thousands of issues and mailing costs for each issue is several thousands of dollars. We are not charging money for every service and teaching that we do around the world. We have our M.O. from the very beginning of Netivyah in the year 1980, we want to share the Lord’s goodness free of charge. We are teaching around the world, and now we are doing it through modern technology and feeding spiritual truths and teachings. Just a few hours ago, I gave a teaching of nearly three hours to leaders from Italy. All our teachings both at home and around the world are carried out free-of-charge for those who receive them, but at high cost to Netivyah for the production and printing of these valuable teachings.

The Hamotzi program for feeding the needy of Jerusalem is ongoing and has not stopped during most of the coronavirus lockdown and quarantine. The number of needy people who come to receive food from our program has increased and overall need has increased.

Please pray for Netivyah and for the Netivyah leadership and find ways to partner and participate in the great blessing that the ministry of Netivyah is here in Israel and also around the world. Please pray and seek ways to partner and contribute financially for the Lord’s work in Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.

Please continue to pray for a very special kindergarten in Jerusalem “Little Hearts.” The director of this special kindergarten is one of our own from the congregation.

Keep praying for a dear sister, Livia Schnell Nothen. Please keep brother Philip Marc in your prayers. Pray for Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias. He is the father of a dear sister in Brazil.

Pray for all those wonderful, dedicated brothers and sisters in Korea who stood with Israel and with Netivyah to revive and to not forget their first love for Israel and for Netivyah.

Danah our daughter, needs much prayer for her health and her situation. Our granddaughter Noam is a senior in high school and working with Zoom to finish her high school. Pray for the Lord to give Noam guidance and direction for graduation from high school.

Our grandson Joseph also needs prayer to be able to get into college with proper scholarships. Please lift Barry our son and his family, Beth, and Joey our grandson to be protected and spared any contact with or infection of the coronavirus. Marcia’s mother June is 91 years old and her health is failing.

Our dear sister Hadassah continues her healing and recovery from cancer. Keep her in your prayers.

From Chennai, India, please remember Pastor Isaac. Pastor Isaac is an older man with severe kidney problems and has to have dialysis several times per week. I have just received a prayer request from a dear sister from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her father who is 70 years old and diabetic has contracted the COVID-19 virus. His name is Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias.

Please see your prayer as casting a vote for healing before the Lord and His angels in Heaven in favor of every brother and sister that you are praying for. Just a word of grace for all of us is a refreshing spirit. Take your prayers before the mercy seat of the Almighty to be heard in favor of those that you are lifting in prayer.

Please keep in your prayers a dear sister who attends our congregation in Jerusalem. Her name is Hadassah and she just had cancer surgery. Pray for Hadassah for a full recovery and remission from any cancer in her body.

Pray for Israel. We are going through terrible riots and violence in the streets of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv and other places around the country. These riots are motivated by the fact that much of the populace of Israel does not understand what the government is doing in relationship to the coronavirus pandemic.

I would like a new prayer request for a dear brother Yehuda Hochman who lives in the Negev Desert. Yehuda has to receive Dialysis treatment several times per week. Please also pray for a dear congregation in the interior of the State of Bahia in Brazil in the small town of Alaguinia. The pastor of that church (that is crazy with love for Israel) and all of the congregation is so very supportive of Israel.

I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to visit our webpage and do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.

The coronavirus is threatening the economy of the world with a great recession and depression. Some of our major supporters have already lowered the amount of their support. They have done this not only toward Netivyah, but for all the ministries that they are supporting, and they are many. I would like to first ask you to pray about your part in supporting Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.

Second, I would like for you who stand with us in prayer and financially to do your absolute best to stay on board with us and communicate. We realize that times will be hard for several years, but we also realize that God has chosen and blessed you for such a time as this.

Third, please pray for a new project that we are starting in Israel in partnership with the Houses for Healing ministry from Abilene, Texas. 
 

I wish all of you, who stand with Israel and who pray for Jerusalem, the best of the Lord’s blessings and the fulfillment of all His promises to His faithful children. Those who hear God and do His will are the ones who are called wise! Those who only hear His word and don’t do it are called foolish! Let us all strive to be wise and never foolish!
