예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2021년 10월 7일

이번 안식일 전 세계 모든 회당에서 읽을 토라 포션은 “노아”라고 합니다. 토라에서 읽는 말씀은 창세기 6:9-11:32이고, 선지서에서 읽는 말씀은 이사야 54:1-55:5, 신약성경에서 읽는 말씀은 누가복음 17:20-27입니다.
저는 이번 주 말씀 나눔을 노아 이야기에 집중하고 싶습니다. 사람들이 이 토라 포션을 읽을 때 집중하는 것은 홍수의 역학과, 동물들과 새들, 먹을 수 있는 정결한 동물들과 먹지 못하는 부정한 동물들을 실을 노아가 지은 방주입니다. 슬프게도 대부분의 기독교인들이 놓치는 이 본문 말씀에서 나오는 한 가지 진리는, 모세보다도 오래전, 시내산에서 토라를 받기도 오래 전에 노아는 이미 어떤 동물들이 정결하고 먹을 수 있는지, 어떤 동물들이 부정하고 먹을 수 없는지 알았다는 것입니다. 바로 하나님의 말씀에서 나오는 말씀입니다: “너는 모든 정결한 짐승은 암수 일곱씩, 부정한 것은 암수 둘씩을 네게로 데려오며 … 정결한 짐승과 부정한 짐승과 새와 땅에 기는 모든 것은 …” – 창세기 7:2,8 저는 베이컨-양상추-토마토 샌드위치를 먹는 사람을 비난하려고 이 본문을 가져온 것이 아니며, 저의 비-유대인 형제자매님들에게 상품의 메인주 랍스터나 뉴잉글랜드 킹크랩을 먹으면 안 된다고 확신시키려고 이 본문을 가져온 것이 아닙니다. 유대인인 저는 하나님과 예슈아(예수님)를 믿기 전에는 모든 것을 먹었고 조개류과 새우와 랍스터를 즐겨 먹었습니다. 예루살렘에 있는 저희 집에서는 제가 하나님이나 예슈아를 믿기 전에는 돼지고기와 콩이 주요 식품이었습니다. 저희 아버지가 집에 계실 때는 콩 스프를 먹지 않은 날이 없었고, 그 콩 스프에는 돼지비계가 들어가지 않았던 적이 없습니다. 제가 이번 주 토라 포션의 이 본문을 나누는 것은 성경적 사실을 수립하기 위한 것인데요, 그 성경적 사실이란 토라를 받기도 훨씬 오래 전에 노아는 이미 어떤 것이 정결한 동물이고 어떤 것이 부정한 동물인지 알았다는 것입니다. 주님께서는 노아에게 정결한 동물은 일곱 쌍을, 부정한 동물은 단 두 쌍만 취하라고 명하셨습니다. 예슈아의 유대인 제자로서, 하나님께서 노아에게 정결한 동물을 일곱 쌍 취하라고 명하신 이 사실은 다소 마음을 산란케 하는 것입니다. 이 노아 이야기 외에도, 창세기는 아브라함이 하나님을 믿었고 그의 믿음이 의로 여김을 받았을 뿐만 아니라, 그가 하나님의 계명과 규례도 지켰고, 하나님의 토라를 지켰다고 말하고 있습니다. 이것은 출애굽 후 시내산에서 모세와 이스라엘에 토라를 주시기 400년도 더 전이었습니다. 그런데 그럼에도 이것은 성경적 사실입니다! 창세기 26:4,5에서 하나님께서는 아브라함에게 주신 약속을 반복하시는데요, 이 말씀에는 분명한 인과관계가 있습니다: “네 자손을 하늘의 별과 같이 번성하게 하며 이 모든 땅을 네 자손에게 주리니 네 자손으로 말미암아 천하 만민이 복을 받으리라 이는 아브라함이 내 말을 순종하고 내 명령과 내 계명과 내 율례와 내 법도를 지켰음이라 하시니라.” – 창세기 26:4,5 다시 노아 이야기로 가겠습니다. 설교자들과 학자들이 종종 놓치는 또 다른 점은 이번 안식일에 회당에서 읽는 본문 안에 나타난 상대성입니다. 여기에는 하나님께서 어떻게 역사하시고 우리를 어떻게 보시고 우리가 살고 있는 세상과 관련하여 그분의 자녀인 우리의 가치를 어떻게 평가하시는지에 대해 제게 많은 것을 말해주는 상대성의 원천이 있습니다. “이것이 노아의 족보니라 노아는 의인이요 당대에 완전한 자라 그는 하나님과 동행하였으며 세 아들을 낳았으니 셈과 함과 야벳이라.” – 창세기 6:9,10 하나님의 말씀은 노아가 완전한 자였다고 말하고 있습니까? 아닙니다, 우리는 모두 노아가 완전한 자가 아니었으며, 하나님 보시기에 그를 완전하게 만든 것은 노아가 불의하고 악한 그의 시대에 비해 의인이었다는 점이었다는 것을 압니다! 하나님께서 우리를 보시고 평가하시고 판단하시는 상대성은 아주 중요한 것인데, 이것은 너무도 자주 우리 기독교인 형제들이 서로를 평가하고 판단하고 정죄하는 데에 있어 완전히 간과됩니다. 사실, 하나님께서는 모든 세대와 모든 사람을 판단하심에 아주 상대적으로 판단하시고, 우리 죄에 대한 처벌과 속죄에 있어서도 상대적으로 평가하시고 상대적으로 벌하시고 우리에게 상대적으로 요구하시며, 결코 절대적이지 않습니다. 제가 말씀드리는 것이 성경 전반과 인간 역사에 걸쳐 사실임을 보여주며 증명하는 말씀이 몇 개 있습니다. 이것이 그렇지 않다면, 인류를 쓸어버리는 전 지구적 홍수가 수백 년마다 한 번씩 있어야 할 것입니다! 하나님의 자비와 정의가 섞여 있고 서로 영향을 줍니다. 그렇기 때문에 하나님께서는 우리 모두를 같은 척도로 판단하지 않으시는 것입니다! 하나님께서는 우리를 개별적으로, 각자의 능력과 각자의 책임에 따라 판단하십니다! “이 중 하나에 허물이 있을 때에는 아무 일에 잘못하였노라 자복하고 그 잘못으로 말미암아 여호와께 속죄제를 드리되 양 떼의 암컷 어린 양이나 염소를 끌어다가 속죄제를 드릴 것이요 제사장은 그의 허물을 위하여 속죄할지니라 만일 그의 힘이 어린 양을 바치는 데에 미치지 못하면 그가 지은 죄를 속죄하기 위하여 산비둘기 두 마리나 집비둘기 새끼 두 마리를 여호와께로 가져가되 하나는 속죄제물을 삼고 하나는 번제물을 삼아 제사장에게로 가져갈 것이요 제사장은 그 속죄제물을 먼저 드리되 그 머리를 목에서 비틀어 끊고 몸은 아주 쪼개지 말며 그 속죄제물의 피를 제단 곁에 뿌리고 그 남은 피는 제단 밑에 흘릴지니 이는 속죄제요 그 다음 것은 규례대로 번제를 드릴지니 제사장이 그의 잘못을 위하여 속죄한즉 그가 사함을 받으리라 만일 그의 손이 산비둘기 두 마리나 집비둘기 두 마리에도 미치지 못하면 그의 범죄로 말미암아 고운 가루 십분의 일 에바를 예물로 가져다가 속죄제물로 드리되 이는 속죄제인즉 그 위에 기름을 붓지 말며 유향을 놓지 말고 그것을 제사장에게로 가져갈 것이요 제사장은 그것을 기념물로 한 움큼을 가져다가 제단 위 여호와의 화제물 위에서 불사를지니 이는 속죄제라 제사장이 그가 이 중에서 하나를 범하여 얻은 허물을 위하여 속죄한즉 그가 사함을 받으리라 그 나머지는 소제물 같이 제사장에게 돌릴지니라.” – 레위기 5:5-13 여기서 주님께서 우리를 어떻게 보시는지 토라가 보여주는 상대성은 일급으로 중요한 것입니다. 이것이 중요한 이유는 우리가 기독교 및 유대교의 역사에서 토라가 우리에게 보여주고 있는 것과 반대되는 가혹함과 확고한 판단을 보기 때문입니다. 우리는 이 세상에서 별로 성공하지 못한 우리 형제들을 깔보고 밟고 올라서는 경향이 있습니다. 서구 교회는 세상적 기준에서의 형통이 “주님의 은총과 축복”의 척도라고 설파합니다. 가난하고 생활고와 싸우는 형제자매들과 불운한 사람들은 주님으로부터 축복을 덜 받은 것으로 여깁니다. 주님께서는 토라에서 그분께서 세상의 성공의 전장에서 덜 성공한 사람을 차별하거나 편파적이지 않으신다는 것을 우리에게 보여줍니다. 오히려 주님께서는 종 모양 곡선에 따라 우리를 구분하시며, 이 세상에서 더 많이 가지고 더 성공한 자들에게 더 많이 요구하십니다. 그렇습니다, 주님께서는 모든 사람에게 똑같이 대속을 베푸시며, 가난한 자들의 죄도 한 움큼의 곡식을 속죄제로 부과하시어, 부유한 사람이 황소나 양으로 제사하는 것만큼으로 보시고 은혜로이 용서하십니다. 이것이 바로 우리 주 예슈아께서 누가복음 12:48에서 지적하신 원리입니다, “알지 못하고 맞을 일을 행한 종은 적게 맞으리라 무릇 많이 받은 자에게는 많이 요구할 것이요 많이 맡은 자에게는 많이 달라 할 것이니라.” – 누가복음 12:48 저는 정말로 저와 저의 믿음의 형제들이 이 원리를 배워 이 신성한 원리를 실천하기를 바랍니다. 왜냐하면 이 원리의 역도 참이고 우리는 성경 말씀에서 이것도 볼 수 있기 때문입니다. 적게 주는 자 또한 적게 받을 것이고, 많이 주는 자 또한 많이 받을 것입니다. 이것은 자연의 법칙입니다. 이것은 전 세계 우리 형제들의 교회들에서 단단히 망치질되고 자주 반복되지만 오직 한 영역에 대해서만, 즉 교회에 헌금하는 영역에 대해서만 그렇습니다. 그러나 이 원리는 교회에 헌금하는 것에 대해서만 효과가 있는 것은 아닙니다. 이 원리는 보편적이고 이스라엘의 주 하나님께서는 토라에서 대속에 대해서도 이를 실천하십니다. 지구적이고, 심지어 광대한 우주 공간까지 우주적인 이 상대성의 보편성은 20세기에 알프레드 아인슈타인이 과학을 통해 발견했지만, 모세와 이스라엘은 이미 토라로부터 알고 있던 선하고 참된 원리입니다. 주님께서는 하나님의 자녀 - 온 인류를 축복하고 은혜를 베푸는 사람들에게 복 주실 것입니다! 저는 하나님께서 그분의 말씀에서 그분을 더 잘 알 수 있게 되도록 자신과 그 아들 예슈아를 계시해 주심으로 인해 하나님께 감사드립니다! 저는 여러분도 그러하도록 기도합니다!

제 가족을 위해, 특별히 제 아내 마르시아와 제 딸 다나와 제 손녀 노암과 제 손자 죠이와 제 아들과 며느리 배리와 베쓰를 위해 잊지 말고 날마다 기도해 주시 바랍니다. 이들은 모두 저와 마르시아의 기도가 필요한데요, 저는 전 세계에 계신 우리의 귀한 형제자매님들인 여러분께 저와 제 가족을 위해 기도해 주시기를 부탁드립니다.

하나님의 이름으로 가장 중요하고 가장 효과적인 선한 일들에 축복이 될 선택을 하는 판단을 테스트하는 것이며, 주님을 영화롭게 하며 우리의 충성됨을 보여주도록 후하고 선한 마음으로 주는 자선을 테스트하는 것입니다. 저희 편에 서서 이 축복을 누리십시오!

The Jerusalem Prayer List – October 7, 2021

The portion that is being read in all the synagogues around the world this next Shabbat is called Noah. The reading from the Torah is from Genesis 6:9-11:32, from the prophets the reading is from Isaiah 54:1-55:5, and from the New Testament the reading is from Luke 17:20-27.
I want to concentrate my sharing for this Shabbat on the story of Noah. When people read this Torah portion the concentration is on the mechanics of the flood. The building of the ark on which Noah loaded the animals, birds, clean animals that are to be eaten and unclean animals that are not to be eaten. One truth that comes out of this text that most Christians sadly miss is that, long before Moses and the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai, Noah already knew which animals are clean and are for food, and which are not clean and ought not to be used for human consumption. Here is the text right out of God’s word: “You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female… Of clean animals, of animals that are unclean, of birds, and of everything that creeps on the earth…” – Genesis 7:2,8 [NKJV] I am not bringing this text to condemn anyone who has a BLT sandwich. I am not teaching this to convince my non-Jewish brothers and sisters that they ought not to eat a wonderful Maine lobster, or a New England King Crab. As a Jew, long before I believed in God and in Yeshua (Jesus), I ate everything and enjoyed every bite of the scallops, shrimp, and lobster. And in my home in Jerusalem, long before I believed in God or in Yeshua, pork and beans was a staple. When my father was home there was not a day that we didn’t eat bean soup, and there was no bean soup in my house that didn’t have a good white cube of pork fat. I am sharing these texts from our Torah portion of this week to establish a biblical fact, and the fact is that long before the giving of the Torah, Noah already knew which was a clean animal and which was not a clean animal. The Lord commanded Noah to take seven pairs of the clean animals and only two pairs of the unclean animals. As a Jewish disciple of Yeshua (Jesus), this fact that God had commanded Noah to have seven pairs of the clean animals, is a little unsettling. Add to this narrative of Noah, that the book of Genesis says that Abraham not only believed in God and his faith was counted to him as righteousness, but that Abraham also kept the commandments of God and God’s statues, and even kept God’s Torah… this is some 400 years or more before the Torah was given to Moses and to Israel on Mount Sinai after the Exodus from Egypt. But, it is a biblical fact nonetheless! God repeats the promises that He gave to Abraham and there is a clear causality in the text from Genesis 26:4,5: “And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.” – Genesis 26:4,5 [NKJV] Let me get back to Noah, another point that is often missed by preachers and scholars is the relativity that is expressed in the text that is read in the synagogue this Shabbat. Here is the source of that relativity that says to me so much about how God works and how God looks at us and how God evaluates our worth as His children in relationship to the world that we live in and not in absolute terms and values. “This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.” – Genesis 6:9,10 [NKJV] Does the word of God say that Noah was a perfect man? No, we all know that Noah was not a perfect man, but what makes him perfect in the sight of God is that in relationship to his wicked and evil generation, Noah was a just (righteous, upright) man! That relativity in which God looks and evaluates us and judges us is of such a great important and it is so often totally ignored in the way our Christian brothers evaluate and judge and condemn each other. In fact God takes His judgement of every generation and every person in a very relative way, and the punishment and the expiation of our sins is also evaluated and punished and required of us by God relatively and never absolutely. Here are some texts to demonstrate and prove that what I am saying is true throughout the whole bible and throughout all of human history. If this was not so there would be a need for a universal flood to wipe out humanity every several hundred years! God’s mercy and justice are mixed and influence each other that is why God does not judge us all with the same measure! He judges us individually, each according to his ability, and to his responsibility. “And it shall be, when he is guilty in any of these matters, that he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing; and he shall bring his trespass offering to the Lord for his sin which he has committed, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats as a sin offering. So the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin. If he is not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring to the Lord, for his trespass which he has committed, two turtledoves or two young pigeons: one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. And he shall bring them to the priest, who shall offer that which is for the sin offering first, and wring off its head from its neck, but shall not divide it completely. Then he shall sprinkle some of the blood of the sin offering on the side of the altar, and the rest of the blood shall be drained out at the base of the altar. It is a sin offering. And he shall offer the second as a burnt offering according to the prescribed manner. So the priest shall make atonement on his behalf for his sin which he has committed, and it shall be forgiven him. But if he is not able to bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, then he who sinned shall bring for his offering one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a sin offering. He shall put no oil on it, nor shall he put frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering. Then he shall bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it as a memorial portion, and burn it on the altar according to the offerings made by fire to the Lord. It is a sin offering. The priest shall make atonement for him, for his sin that he has committed in any of these matters; and it shall be forgiven him. The rest shall be the priest’s as a grain offering.” – Leviticus 5:5-13 [NKJV] The relativity that the Torah shows here of how the Lord looks at us is something that is of first-class importance. It is important because we see from Christian and from Jewish religious history the harshness and immovable judgment in reverse of what the Torah is revealing to us. We tend to look down and step on our brothers who are less successful in this world. The western church preaches that prosperity in the worldly parameter is a measure of the “favor and blessing of the Lord!” The poor and struggling brothers and sisters and the unfortunate are less blessed by the Lord. The Lord in the Torah reveals for all that He does not discriminate or show partiality toward a person who is less fortunate in the arena of worldly success. On the contrary, the Lord grades us on the bell curve and He demands more from those who have more and are more successful in this world. Yes, on the contrary, the Lord is the giver of the same atonement for all, and forgives the sins of the poor just as much and as graciously by charging a handful of grain as to what a rich person should offer with a bull or a sheep. This is precisely the principle that is pointed out by our Lord Yeshua in Luke 12:48, “But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.” – Luke 12:48 [NKJV] I really hope that I and my brothers in the faith will learn this principle and practice this divine principle. Because the reverse of these principles is also true and we see it also in the scriptures. The one who gives a little will also receive a little. The one who gives much will also receive much. This is a law of nature, it is a law that in the churches of our brothers around the world is hammered hard and repeated often, but only in regard to one area, that is in giving money to the church. However, this principle works not only on giving money to the church. The principle is universal and the Lord God of Israel practices it even in regard to atonement in the Torah. This universality of relativity, globally and universally, and even in the vast expanse of space, is a good and true principle that Alfred Einstein discovered through science in the 20th Century, but Moses and Israel already had known it from the Torah itself. The Lord will bless those who learn to bless and show grace to God’s children - the whole human race! I thank God for His revelation of Himself and of His Son Yeshua in such a way that even I can get to know Him better from His Word! I pray that you do too!
Please continue praying for the Christian brothers and sisters who are left in Afghanistan in the hands of the Taliban. These brothers and sisters are in grave physical danger for their lives.
The more time that passes, the more the condition of our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan is not getting better. The USA has largely forgotten them and they are easy prey for the savage murdering hordes. If we don’t pray and beg God to intervene, who is going to do it?
Please don’t forget to pray daily for my family, especially for my wife Marcia, and Danah my daughter, and Noam my granddaughter, and Joey my grandson, and Barry and Beth my son and daughter-in-law. They all need my and Marcia’s prayer and I ask you our dear brothers and sisters around the world, to pray for me, and for my family.
Please keep praying for Steve (Asher) Mock, one of my disciples, a man of God, who is in ICU in San Diego, CA. Asher had a second big (CVA) stroke with massive bleeding in the brain. The latest news is that the bleeding has stopped. Prayer for divine healing and restoration is needed for Steve (Asher) Mock!
Our dear friend Mahmud Abu-Eid’s sister Gouzlan is very sick, and also Mahmud’s mother needs our prayers. The Abu-Eid family is one of the finest and dearest family of Palestinian friends and soul brothers that we have. Please lift them up in your prayers.
Keep the Israeli government in your prayers. Even if the Coronavirus is abating and the numbers of the newly infected are declining, the necrosis in the halls of power in Israel needs much prayer. According to Isaiah, leadership issues are a sign of God’s displeasure with the nation.
Pray and support Netivyah during these very hard times, for opportunities to do good and to bless and feed and support the population of Israel, those in need whose number has increased by many percentage points during these difficult days in Israel.
Our opportunities are to do good and to be a blessing to the needy population of Jerusalem, to believers who are students in the universities. God gives opportunities of joy and privilege and every opportunity that the Lord gives us to do good and be a blessing is also a test of our judgement and charity.
A test of our judgment is to make choices that are going to be a blessing to the most important and the most effective good works of God, in God’s name. The test of our charity is to give generously and with a good heart in order to honor our Lord and to show our faithfulness. Stand with us and enjoy the blessings!
It is very very seldom that I appeal for financial support for Netivyah. However, the situation with the Coronavirus in Israel like in the whole world has opened opportunities to do good and bless people (not only disciples of Yeshua) and to share the love and care of the Lord in a tangible way that is first rate.
Pray for your personal enemies if you have any, and especially for Israel’s enemies and terrorist states like Iran, and the Hamas in Gaza, and the Hizballah in Gaza and Lebanon… This is important, because when you pray for the good of these enemies you are actually heaping hot coal on their head. (See Romans 12, the last verses.)
Keep praying for the Rosenfeld family, the young and the old.

The Hamotzi food distribution program is going in full capacity during the holiday season and generously giving wonderful food, to over 150 families who are referred to us by the social Department of City Hall of Jerusalem. These families will have no lack on their holiday tables and their families will be able to bless the Lord for His mercy endures forever through your contributions and generosity.
The needs in the neighborhoods of Jerusalem are growing because of the unemployment of this coronavirus period and the needs of these dear people are growing in order to supply the increased number of families that we are helping, we need the Lord to impress you our dear brothers around the world, to also increase your prayers for Jerusalem and take advantage of the opportunities that the Lord is providing you to be a blessing to others.
Please pray for Netivyah and for the Netivyah leadership and find ways to partner and participate in the great blessing that the ministry of Netivyah is here in Israel and also around the world. Danah, our daughter, needs much prayer for her health and her situation. Our granddaughter Noam has graduated from high school. She is looking for a job and looking for her path in life. Please pray for both Danah our daughter, and Noam, our granddaughter and beg God to keep them safe from the Coronavirus and all other problems.
Keep Ruby Little in your prayers, our dear sister from Oklahoma City, who is also battling against cancer and add to your prayers Allison Howard Williams.
Please lift these brothers and sisters in your prayers: Angela Isby, Deborah Isaiah, Aries Franklin Mayers Sr., and Tony Black. Keep praying for Nancy, Don and their son Aaron Hook, Rachel David Kim’s wife – Jingyung Lee. These are some older brothers and sisters who need God’s grace and His support to be a blessing to their lives and keep them safe in the palm of His hand!
Dr. Yuizawa, Tiz H., Lion H., Ilana Abramov, Cynthia Parveen’s sister, have improved from their illness but still need the Lord’s blessings and strength to keep improving.
Remember the following brothers and sisters from the Roeh Israel Congregation in Jerusalem; Sarit, Gabriela, Ahuva, Leah, Ilana, Hannah, young Gabriela, Jonathan B. and his wife Aviva and their baby. Pray for Sister Yoko Nagumo in Japan. Sister Yoko had a stroke, and we pray that her recovery will be quick and complete.
From Chennai, India, please remember Pastor Isaac. Pastor Isaac is an older man with severe kidney problems and has to have dialysis several times per week. Remember Tony and Louisa Tam, and our brothers and sisters at the 611 Church, and the other churches who love God and love Israel in that great city. Remember in your prayers the Cohen family in Hong Kong.
Just a word of grace before the mercy seat of the Almighty will be heard in favor of these brothers and Um Mahmud Abu-Eid and Jimmy Abu-Eid and his family, Keijo and Salme our dear brothers in Finland, Tim Tucker, Satu-Maria, Sinni Tuuli, Anne Mirjami our dear sister and all our other brothers and sisters in Finland who need our prayers, Eva H., Patty, Andrea, Julia and Victor, and Aaron Tani, and Hillel and his wife.

Please keep in your prayers a dear sister who attends our congregation in Jerusalem. Her name is Hadassah and she just had cancer surgery. Pray for Hadassah for a full recovery and remission from any cancer in her body.
Pray for Israel. We are going through terrible riots and violence in the streets of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv and other places around the country. These riots are motivated by the fact that much of the populace of Israel does not understand what the government is doing in relation to the Coronavirus pandemic.
I would like a new prayer request for a dear brother Yehuda Hochman who lives in the Negev Desert. Yehuda has to receive Dialysis treatment several times per week.

Please pray for our two grandchildren. They are both graduating in a few weeks from high school. They are both facing this important change in their lives. Noam our granddaughter also had her 18th birthday on May 1st. This was a very big day for Noam. She is free from high school and also from other obligations and is privileged to make her own decisions and choices in life. Pray for Noam on this major crossroad of life for her and ask the Lord to bless Noam and to give her clear direction and guidance for what is good and right and holy in her life.
Both Noam and Joseph, our two grandchildren, are extremely talented and good students. Both are “A” students and excellent young people, but both need divine protection and guidance to make good and smart and right choices for life.
When I was 18 years old and cut off from my family because of my faith in the Messiah, I had no one on my side and no one to guide me. The Lord’s providential leading and guidance was the only guide that I had. I praise the Lord for His goodness and direction in my life.
One last prayer request for this week. You will think that I am crazy and you will want to commit me to the “funny farm.” I am now teaching four days per week three hours each day in Harare, Zimbabwe, in what is called Yeshua College. In fact my title is “Academic Dean!”
All the students are from the Lemba tribe in Africa, they are all פastors and leaders in congregations. The challenge is enormous and the load for a 75-year-old man with high mileage for 60 years is also enormous. The need is also enormous and taking upon myself this load is crazy enough for a younger more capable man.
For an old one-eyed Jew it is more than enormous! It requires divine grace and strength and health and every other kind of physical and spiritual vitamin. This project was started and inspired and is financed by a dear friend who also needs our prayer.
Just pray for Joseph Shulam and for our dear friend R.W. Ask the Lord to bless him and his family and his work.
I wish all of you, who stand with Israel and who pray for Jerusalem, the best of the Lord’s blessings and the fulfillment of all His promises to His faithful children. Those who hear God and do His will are the ones who are called wise! Those who only hear His word and don’t do it are called foolish! Let us all strive to be wise and never foolish! The best is yet to come!
