예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2022년 3월 3일

이번 안식일에 우리는 출애굽기의 마지막 토라 포션을 읽습니다. 다음 안식일에 우리는 주님의 뜻이라면 레위기를 읽기 시작할 것입니다.

코로나바이러스는 저의 생물학적 시계를 바꿔놓았습니다. 모든 것이 코로나바이러스가 우리 행성을 강타하기 전보다 훨씬 더 빠르게 움직이고 있는 것 같습니다. 출애굽기 마지막 토라 포션은 “페쿠데이”라고 하는데요, “물품목록”이라는 뜻입니다.

출애굽기 38:21에서 시작하여 출애굽기 끝까지 읽습니다. 지난 2주 동안 우리는 일종의 시내광야에서 우리의 아들 브살렐과 그의 장인들과 예술가 팀이 성막을 짓는 데 필요한 물품 목록 장부를 보았습니다.

선지서에서는 열왕기상 7:51~8:21을 읽는데요, 이 부분은 우리에게 솔로몬이 예루살렘 성전을 건축하는 것을 설명해주고 있기 때문에 성막 건축과 유사합니다. 신약성경에서는 고린도후서 3:7-18을 읽습니다.

출애굽기는 야곱과 그의 아들들이 요셉의 초청으로 애굽으로 내려가는 것으로 시작하여, 이스라엘 자손이 종살이를 뒤로 하고 애굽을 떠나 40년 시내광야 신병교육소를 거치며 아론이 죄를 지어 금송아지를 만든 사건과, 안식일을 제외하고 매일 신선한 만나를 먹은 것과, 두 번이나 바위에서 솟구친 물을 마신 일과, 성막을 건축하는 것으로 끝납니다.

광야에서 모세와 함께 한 40년은 이스라엘 자손에게 학교였는데요, 그들에게 뿐만 아니라 우리에게도 그렇습니다. 성경에서 가장 중요한 교훈이자 하나님께서 이스라엘과 맺은 관계, 그리고 이스라엘을 통해 하나님께서 온 인류와 맺은 관계를 우리가 이해하는 데에 있어서 기초는 하나님께서 그분의 귀한 소유로 택하신 목이 곧은 백성 이스라엘을 모세와 아론이 시내 광야에서 인도한 40년에서 찾아 배울 수 있습니다.

그렇습니다. 친애하는 형제님들, 여러분이 전형적인 기독교 교육을 받았다면 광야에서의 이 40년 동안 하나님과 이스라엘, 그리고 둘의 관계에 대한 이해를 둘 다에게 끔찍한 시련으로 결론내릴 수 있을 것입니다. 여러분이 출애굽기를 읽을 때 하나님과 그분의 택하신 민족 사이의 관계를 보다 객관적이고 예리한 관찰로 접근한다면, 여러분은 전능하신 하나님에 대한 완전히 다른 관점으로 출애굽기를 읽고 연구하게 될 것입니다. 모든 인류의 창조주이자 아버지께서 세속적인 것과 신성한 거룩함 사이에서 살며 분투할 수 있도록 그분의 택하신 민족을 재교육하고 준비시키는 것으로 보는 관점 말입니다.

우리의 아버지이신 하나님, 우리의 선생님이신 하나님, 우리의 장군이자 참모장이신 하나님, 우리의 의사와 위로자이신 하나님의 가장 아름다운 모습은 모두 출애굽기에서 찾을 수 있습니다. 아버지 외에 누가 이스라엘과 같은 나라를 용납하고 사랑하며 그분의 자녀 이스라엘을 위해 그토록 많은 은혜와 용서와 보살핌을 투자하겠습니까?!

이번 토라 포션 페쿠데이에는 성막의 물품목록과 아론의 옷장에 대한 요약과 성막에서 섬기는 것에 대한 자세한 설명이 있습니다. 그러나 출애굽기의 맨 마지막에는 주님의 임재와 주님의 영에 의해 낮에는 성막 위에 떠 있는 구름 기둥으로, 밤에는 불기둥으로 이스라엘 자손을 광야에서 인도하시는 것에 대한 극적인 묘사가 있습니다. 주님께서는 밤낮으로 이스라엘 진영 한가운데 눈으로 볼 수 있게 나타나셨고, 40년 시내광야 여정/신병훈련소의 인도자와 나침반이셨습니다.

아, 저는 오늘날 우리 진영 한가운데 눈으로 볼 수 있고 손으로 만질 수 있는 하나님의 임재가 있기를 얼마나 바라고 기도하는지요! 우리 지도자들이 주님으로부터 어디로 가야 하는지, 무엇을 해야 하는지에 대해 아주 작은 부분까지 듣기를 얼마나 바라는지요!

우리가 정치 사막의 움직이는 모래 언덕에서 길을 잃은 정당들에서 수상과 국회의원을 뽑기 위해 4번의 총선을 치르지 않아도 되었었기를 제가 얼마나 바랬는지요! 세상 구석구석에 흩어지고 하나님의 얼굴이 우리에게서 가려진 2000년 디아스포라 끝에 온 열방을 위해 천지를 창조하신 하나님께서 육신적으로 나타나셔서 우리 가운데 거하시게 된다면 참 좋을 것입니다!

그렇지만 우리는 집단적 인류로서나 이스라엘 국가로서나 그렇지가 않습니다. 그러나 저는 새 생명으로 거듭난 예슈아의 제자인 우리가 원한다면, 진영 한가운데 낮에는 구름으로, 밤에는 불기둥은 아니지만, 우리 개개인을 위해 동일한 일을 하고 또 해야 하는 어떤 것을 가질 수 있을 것이라고 믿습니다.

내가 말씀드리는 것은 이것입니다:

“그러나 진리의 성령이 오시면 그가 너희를 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하시리니 그가 스스로 말하지 않고 오직 들은 것을 말하며 장래 일을 너희에게 알리시리라.” – 요한복음 16:13

저는 진리의 영, 하나님의 성령으로부터 분명하고 확실한 임재와 인도를 받을 수 있기를 간절히 원합니다. 저는 성령께서 저를 인도하시고 장래 일을 말씀해 주시도록 해드리기를 원합니다. 저는 하나님으로부터의 이 큰 선물을 밤에는 저의 개인적인 불기둥, 불꽃과 인도자로, 낮에는 저를 덮는 하나님 임재의 구름으로 삼기를 원합니다.

이스라엘 진영 한가운데에 계신 하나님의 임재는 너무나 큰 선물이요, 온 이스라엘을 위한 인도자이며 증인이었습니다. 여러분은 진영에 가시적이고 물리적인 하나님의 임재가 있다면 그 진영에 죄가 없을 것이라고 생각할 것입니다.

그러나 거기에는 죄가 있었고, 성막을 건축한 후에도 광야에서 이스라엘이 지은 어떤 죄는 너무 심각해서 하나님께서는 재앙과 뱀을 보내어 이스라엘과 그 민족의 지도자들을 깨우쳐 재앙을 멈추도록 간구하고 기도하며 하나님의 은혜를 구하게 하셨습니다.

저는 제 자신이 개인적으로 그리고 온 이스라엘이 집단적으로 하나님의 임재를 구하기를, 개개인들으로라도 낮에는 구름이 우리를 인도하고 밤에는 불기둥이 우리를 인도하고 우리가 매일, 매시간, 매순간 만유의 주님과 함께 걸어야 할 길, 어디로 가고 무엇을 하고 무엇을 말하고 무엇을 써야 하는지를 보여주도록 해드리기를 바랍니다.

네, 저는 자유의지가 없는 로봇이 되기를 원하는 것이 아니라, 저를 모든 진리로 인도하고 실제적인 지혜를 주는 하나님의 임재라는 별도의 인도자를 갖고 싶은 것입니다.

네, 저는 그것을 필요로 하고 그것을 원하며 제 삶에 하나님의 임재가 가시적이도록 기꺼이 기도할 것입니다. 여러분도 여러분의 삶에 그런 실체적이고 실제적이며 참된 임재와 인도를 구하고 원하고 바라기를 소망합니다.

열왕기상 7:51부터 8:21까지의 하프타라에서 여러분과 나누고 싶은 한 구절이 있습니다:

“그 궤 안에는 두 돌판 외에 아무것도 없으니 이것은 이스라엘 자손이 애굽 땅에서 나온 후 여호와께서 저희와 언약을 맺으실 때에 모세가 호렙에서 그 안에 넣은 것이더라.” – 열왕기상 8:9

이 구절은 저에게 너무나 중요하게 다가옵니다. 솔로몬은 이 훌륭한 석조 구조물을 모리아 산 정상에 지었습니다. 건물은 매우 아름답고 화려하며 금과 예술품으로 장식되어 있습니다. 이스라엘 자손은 두 그룹이 그 나무 상자 위에 맴돌고 있는 그리 크지 않은 이 나무 상자를 지고 다녔습니다.

그 상자는 아주 조심스럽게 옮겨야 했습니다. 그 상자는 실제로 그다지 크지 않았는데요, 생각보다 훨씬 작았습니다. 그러나 저에게 가장 충격적인 점은 열왕기상 8장 9절 말씀, 그 상자 안에는 모세가 산에서 가지고 내려온 두 돌판 외에는 아무것도 들어 있지 않았다는 것입니다.

그 두 돌판에 기록된 것은 하나님의 열 가지 말씀, 십계명뿐이었습니다. 이것이 금으로 덮인 그 나무 상자 안에 있는 전부였습니다: 열 개의 짧고 명확한 계명이 적힌 두 돌판.

이 십계명은 우리에게 초-성인이나 일종의 구름 속을 걷는 영적 거인이 될 것을 요구하지 않습니다. 이 십계명은 짧으며 우리가 지키고자 한다면 지키기 쉽습니다.

모든 십계명에 있어서 독특한 점은 그것들이 모두 우리 인간의 손에 맡겨졌다는 것입니다. 우리는 그것들을 지키기로 선택해야 하며, 그것은 자동으로 일어나는 것이 아닙니다. 각 계명은 실제로 우리 자신의 개인적 선택으로 지키거나 어깁니다.

이 십계명은 우리가 우리 모두의 아버지시며 전능하신 하나님과 맺는 관계를 규율하고, 우리가 우리의 아버지와 어머니와 맺는 관계와, 우리의 직업 및 작업 일정과의 관계도 규율하며, 사회 질서, 정의, 재산의 소유권, 그리고 시민, 이웃, 친구로서의 개인의 인간관계를 규율하여 우리 사회와 공동체를 보호합니다!

저는 성경적 원칙과 믿음에 기초하여 건설되고 창조된 위대한 미합중국이 연방 건물과 법원과 학교에서 십계명을 없애버렸다는 사실을 알고서 슬펐습니다. 나무 판에 손으로 조각한 이 계명을 교실이나 법원에 놓으면 개개인이 그것을 주목하여 보고 나는 내 이웃의 차나 아내나 당나귀를 탐내지 말아야 한다는 것을 기억할 것이기 때문입니다.

학생이 학교 교실 벽에 이 계명 점토판이 걸려 있는 것을 본다면, 그는 아버지와 어머니를 공경해야 한다는 것을 기억할 것입니다. 네, 그 위에 두 금 그룹이 있는 나무 상자 안에는 물건이 많지 않았고, 지켜진다면 우리 사회와 국가와 세계가 훨씬 더 좋고 훨씬 더 축복 받고 행복해 질, 열 개의 문장/계명이 적힌 두 돌판 뿐이었습니다.

우리를 창조하신 하나님과의 관계, 우리의 친구와 이웃과의 관계를 규율하는 이 십계명을 지키기 위해 최선을 다합시다. 우리가 그 중요성을 회복하고, 하나님께서 우리에게 십계명을 주셨고, 예슈아께서 그 십계명을 비준하시고 우리에게 우리를 모든 진리로 인도하시는 성령을 보내주심으로 우리에게 그것들을 지킬 수 있는 능력을 주셨음을 상기시키는 것을 회복한다면, 우리 모두는 더 행복하고 더 좋은 아버지, 어머니, 자녀, 사람들이 될 것입니다.

세계에서 가장 잔인한 군대를 피해 난민이 된 어머니들과 아이들이 수십만 명입니다. 푸틴은 러시아군을 내보내 스마트폭탄과 드론을 가지고 민간인 센터와 교육시설과 정부건물을 무차별적으로 폭격했습니다.

그는 체첸에서 가장 잔인한 무슬림 용병을 데려와 무고한 민간인들을 죽이고 강간하고 고문하게 합니다. 벨라루스에서는 전범과 민간인에 대한 잔인성으로 유명한 바그너 여단을 우크라이나로 데려왔습니다. 이 여단의 이름은 “바그너” 여단입니다.

푸틴은 핵무기를 동작 모드로 해놓았다고 발표하기도 했습니다. 저는 하나님만이 대륙 간에 날아다니는 핵폭탄이 가담할 수도 있는, 온 세계를 다시 흑암의 시대로 몰아갈 전 세계적 큰 전쟁을 그치게 하실 수 있다고 믿습니다.

지금 폴란드, 몰도바, 페르시아, 그리스에 난민으로 가 있는 수십만 여성들과 어린이들을 위해 기도해 주십시오.

핀란드의 우리 케이조 형제님과 살메 자매님을 위해 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 케이조와 살메는 진짜 하나님의 종이며 그들은 마르시아와 저보다 약간 더 나이가 많습니다. 그들은 계속해서 핀란드와 이스라엘에서 섬기며 하나님의 일을 하기 위해 힘과 치유가 필요합니다.

하나님의 말씀에는 과부와 고아를 돌보라는 분명한 명령이 있습니다. 이 명령은 토라에서도, 선지서에도, 시가서에도, 신약성경에도 여러 번 나옵니다.

The Jerusalem Prayer List – March 3, 2022

This Shabbat we are reading the last Torah portion from the book of Exodus. Next Shabbat, the Lord willing we will be starting the book of Leviticus.

The coronavirus has changed my biological clock. It seems like everything is moving much faster than before the coronavirus plague struck our planet. The last portion of the Torah is called Pekudei, in English it means “the inventory”.

We start reading from Exodus 38:21 to the end of Exodus. In the last two weeks we had a kind of bookkeeper’s account of the inventory of the Tabernacle built in the wilderness of Sinai, by Bezalel the son of Uri and his team of craftsmen and artists.

From the prophets we read 1 Kings 7:51 – 8:21, that is a kind of parallel to the building of the Tabernacle because it gives us the account of Solomon building the Temple in Jerusalem. From the New Testament we are reading 2 Corinthians 3:7-18.

The book of Exodus starts with Jacob and his sons going down to Egypt by Joseph’s invitation and the book ends with the children of Israel leaving slavery behind and leaving Egypt behind, going through a 40-year long boot camp in the Sinai wilderness, Aaron sinning and building the Golden Calf, eating manna, fresh every day except the Sabbath, drinking water from the rock twice, and building the Tabernacle.

The 40 years in the wilderness with Moses was school for the children of Israel, but not only for them, for us also. The most important lesson in the Bible, and the basis of our understanding of God’s relationship with Israel and through Israel with all of humanity can be found and learned from those 40 years in the wilderness of Sinai with Moses and Aaron leading Israel, the stiff-necked nation, whom God chose as His prized possession.

Yes, dear brothers, if you have a typical Christian education you could end your understanding of God and Israel and their relationship during these 40 years in the wilderness as a terrible ordeal for both. If you approach the reading of the book of Exodus with a more objective and keen observation of the relationship between God and His chosen nation, you will come out of this reading and study of the book of Exodus with a totally different view of God Almighty – the creator and father of all mankind re-educating and preparing His chosen nation for a life and struggle between the profane worldliness and the divine holiness.

The most beautiful pictures of God as our father and God as our teacher and God as our military general and chief of staff, and God as our doctor and comforter, are all found in the book of Exodus. Who else would tolerate and love a nation like Israel and invest so much grace and forgiveness and care for His children Israel, except the father?!

Well, our reading of the Torah Portion Pekudei has the summary of the inventory of the Tabernacle, and Aaron’s wardrobe, and the details of the service in the Tabernacle. However, the very end of the book of Exodus has a dramatic description of the presence of the Lord and the guiding of the children of Israel from the wilderness, by the spirit of the Lord, by day as a pillar of cloud hovering above the Tabernacle and by night a pillar of fire. The Lord was manifest by day and by night in the middle of the camp of Israel visibly and He was their guide and the compass of this 40-year journey/boot-camp in the wilderness of Sinai.

Oh how I wish and pray that today that we would have God’s presence visible and tangible in the middle of our camp. How I wish that our leaders would hear from the Lord of where to go and what to do even to the smallest details.

How I wish that we would not have to have four national general elections to vote for prime ministers and parliament members from political parties that are themselves lost in the moving sand dunes of the political deserts. After 2000 years of diaspora, being spread out to every corner of the world and God’s face being hidden from us, it would be so nice to have a physical manifestation of God, the creator of Heaven and Earth for all the nations, dwelling in our midst!

But we don’t, as a collective humanity, nor as the nation of Israel. However, as disciples of Yeshua, born again into the newness of life, I believe that if we want to we can have something that is not the same as the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night in the middle of the camp, but something that does and ought to do the same job for us as individuals.

Here is what I am referring to:

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” – John 16:13 [NKJV]

I am so anxious to be able to have a clear and tangible presence and guidance from that Spirit of truth, from the Holy Spirit of God. I want to allow The Spirit to guide me, and tell me the things to come. I want to appropriate this great gift from God as my personal pillar of fire by night and as my flame and guide by day as the cloud of God’s presence over me.

The presence of God in the middle of the camp of Israel was such a great gift, and such a guide and witness for all of Israel. You would think that with the visible and physical presence of God in the camp there would be no sin in that camp.

But, sin was there and some of the sin of Israel in the wilderness even after the building of the Tabernacle was so serious that God had to send plagues and snakes to wake up Israel and the leadership of the nation to plead and pray and seek God’s grace to stop the plagues.

I wish for myself privately and for all of Israel collectively to seek God’s presence and even as individuals, to allow the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night to guide us and show us the way we should walk with the Lord of all, daily, hourly, and momentarily, where to go and what to do and what to say and what to write.

Yes, I don’t want to be a robot without free will, but I do want to have that extra guide of God’s presence to guide me unto all truth and give me practical wisdom.

Yes, I need it and I want it and I am willing to pray for that presence of God visibly in my life. I hope that you too also seek and want and desire that tangible and real and true presence and guide in your life.

The reading of the Haftarah, from 1 Kings 7:51 – 8:21, has one verse that I would like to share with you:

“Nothing was in the ark except the two tablets of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.” – 1 Kings 8:9

This verse just sticks out for me as being so important. Solomon builds this fine stone structure on top of the mountain of Moriah. The building is so beautiful and ornate and with gold and with artwork. The children of Israel carried this wooden box, not very big, with the two cherubim hovering over that wooden box.

The box had to be carried so carefully. The box was not so big actually it was much smaller than I would have imagined it. However, the most shocking thing for me is the text in 1 Kings 8:9 – the box had nothing in it except the two tablets of stone that Moses brought down from the mountain.

All that was written on those two tablets were the ten words of God, the Ten Commandments. This was all that was in that wooden and gold covered box, two tables of stone with ten short and very clear commandments.

These Ten Commandments don’t require of us to become super-saints or some kind of walking-in-the-clouds spiritual giants. The Ten Commandments are short and easy to keep if we want to keep them.

The unique thing about all the Ten Commandments is that they are all deposited in our human hands. We have to choose to keep them and that doesn't just happen automatically. Each one of the commandments is actually kept or broken by our own personal and individual choices.

These Ten Commandments regulate our relationship with the almighty God and father of us all, and also regulate our relationship with our fathers and mothers, and our relationship with our jobs and work schedule, and also protect our society and community, regulating social order, justice, ownership of property, and individual human relationships as citizens, neighbors, and friends!

I am sad to know that the great nation of the United States of America that was built and created on the basis of biblical principles and faith, has taken down the Ten Commandments off federal buildings, and out of the courthouses and away from schools. Because if these commandments, even hand-carved on wooden tablets, are placed in the classroom or courthouse, the individual would notice them and remember: I must not covet my neighbor’s car, or wife, or donkey.

If a schoolchild sees the clay representation of these commandments hanging on the wall of his classroom in school, he will remember that he ought to honor his father and his mother. Yes, the wooden box with the two golden cherubim on top of it did not have many things in it, only two stone tablets with ten statements/commandments, that if they are kept and observed our society and our countries and our world would be so much better and so much more blessed and happy.

Let us do our best to keep these Ten Commandments that will regulate our relationship to the God who created us, and to our friends and neighbors. We would all be happier and better fathers, mothers, children, and people if we restore the importance and the reminder that God gave us Ten Commandments, and Yeshua ratified them and gave us the ability to keep them by sending us the Holy Spirit to guide us unto all truth.

I am asking you all to pray for Ukraine and for Europe and Russia and the USA, and for our world. Our world is now in the grave danger of a major, even potentially a nuclear war between Russia and the NATO countries.

There is an extremely cruel and horrible war going on in the Ukraine. Russia has invaded this country and has caused more than one million people to leave their homes and their elderly and their husbands and to become refugees.

There are hundreds of thousands of mothers and children that have become refugees running from the most cruel military brigades in the world. Putin has released the Russian armed forces to shoot and bomb with smart bombs and drones, civilian centers and educational institutions and government buildings, indiscriminately.

He has brought from Chechnya some of the most cruel Muslim mercenaries to kill, rape, and torture innocent civilian populations. From Belarus, Putin has brought to Ukraine the Wagner Brigade that is also known for its war crimes and cruelty to civilian populations. The name of this brigade is the “Wagner” brigade.

Putin has also announced that he has put his nuclear arsenal in active mode. I believe that only God can stop a major worldwide war that could involve atomic bombs flying over the the continents and bring the world back to the dark ages.

Pray for the hundreds of thousands of women and children that are refugees now in Poland, Moldova, Persia, and Greece.

Please pray for our dear brother Keijo and Sister Salme in Finland. Keijo and Salme are truly God’s servants and they are just a little older than Marcia and I, and they need the strength and healing to continue serving and doing God’s work in Finland and in Israel.

Marcia and I need your prayers and Keijo and Salme need your prayers. We are getting older and our bodies are not what they used to be and we need healing and strength from the Lord to continue and do the Lord’s work.

Please pray for the people listed on this prayer list. They are all dear brothers and sisters from around the world that pray and stand with Israel and with us at Netivyah.

Please keep praying for Marcia my wife and for me. We are both going through some medical tests to find out what is wrong with our health. We need God’s grace and strength and healing every day anew!

Please continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro, Belo-Horizonte, Vitoria, Curitiba, and all around Brazil. Brazil is one of the countries that has a very high rate of coronavirus sick and dead.

Although the reports are that the coronavirus is weakening a little, there is still the possibility of another mutation and variant that might be again more infectious and deadly. For that reason we must continue to pray and beg the Lord to spare His world from more illness and to stop this plague which is over the whole world!

The situation of our older sisters who are true heroes in the service of the Lord – Leah, Ahuva, and Ilana need our prayers. I am asking you join us all in praying for our older sisters. They are true heroes of faith, and their love for the Lord, and for His people, is without limit.

There is a clear command in the word of God to take care of the widows and orphans. This command appears in the Torah, the prophets, the writings, and in the New Testament - even several times.

Anyone who is getting old or has older family members must know that the fellowship of the saints and of our spiritual family can be trusted to keep this commandment and to take care of our older generation of people who have given their all during their younger years, and it is the responsibility of the saints to take care of their elderly.

Please consider as a church or as individuals to add something extra for the elderly saints of Jerusalem.

Zacharias Waldner from Canada who is paraplegic has a problem with sores and is asking for our prayers. Please add Zacharias to your prayer list.

I also received a request to pray for a young brother, Raymond Jimenez, who has the Coronavirus and needs God’s blessing for recovering and returning back to his normal life.

We received a prayer request from a dear sister, Livia Schnell Nothen, who has been with us in Portugal and has stood with our brothers in Brazil and with us on the issue of the Anussim.

Please keep brother Philip Marc in your prayers. Philip is a young man with very serious cancer. He is a truth seeker and a faithful disciple of Yeshua who loves God and who is a lover of Israel. Philip lives far from Israel in a country that we can’t travel to, but Philip's heart is with us, and with God’s people.

Pray for Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias. He is the father of a dear sister in Brazil.

The situation in Israel is not getting better yet! Israel is still under closure with limited mobility and most of the economy and businesses are closed, at least for now. The economy is devastated.

It is a good work to pray for people whom you don’t know personally and to pray for the world to recover and bring an end to this horrible pandemic called the coronavirus. Corona is a crown, and I am not sure on the head of which king this virus is a crown.

1. Please keep doing intercessory prayer for the whole world, concentrate on your country, but do not forget Israel.

2. There is a blessing from God to those who pray for other brothers and sisters and intercede through the Holy Spirit for the body of the Messiah.

3. It might seem like a small thing for us to pray a few minutes for brothers and sisters around the world, but in the kingdom and in the Heavens, attention is paid by the authorities of goodness to the caring and sincere intercessory prayer that conforms and confirms that the body of the Messiah Yeshua is truly one body.

4. Pray for those who have prayed so faithfully for the salvation of Israel and the peace in Israel. If you are not praying for the salvation of Israel, please start now. This prayer is sure to be answered by the Lord because He promised that, “all of Israel shall be saved!”

Please pray for Gary, our daughter-in-law Beth Shulam’s father. Pray for Danah our daughter, she needs much prayer for her situation and so does our granddaughter Noaam. Please lift Danah and Noaam in your prayers. Please lift Barry our son and his family, Beth, and Joey our grandson who are also staying at home and working from home during this time.

I am adding a new prayer request from a leader of God’s people in India, Joy Mathew, and Pastor Isaac from the city of Chennai.

Please do not forget to lift up in prayer the young man Paulo and the Amaral family, in Brazil.

Please keep in your prayers our dear brother Pastor TJ in Taiwan. TJ’s mother has some very serious problems and TJ is now in California for his mother and father.

Keep Ruby Little in your prayers, our dear sister from Oklahoma City. Ruby went through a new set of tests for her cancer and the tests returned with not such a good news. Ruby is in need of our prayers. Pray for God to heal Ruby from her cancer that after two years of treatments not much improvement. Ruby needs a miracle and strength and courage to deal with this challenge in the best way that will give her a better quality of life than chemotherapy, for divine intervention, a miracle of healing.

Please pray for the family of brother Joseph Kelber and especially for his son.

Keep praying for Nancy, Don and their son Aaron Hook, Rachel David Kim’s wife – Jingyung Lee, Dr. Yuizawa, Tiz H., Lion H, Ilana Abramov, David Stern and his family, Anne West who is now 100 years old.

Our other brothers and sisters in Finland who need our prayers, Evelina, and Eva H., Patty, Andrea, Julia and Victor, and Aaron Tani, and Hillel and his wife.

By praying for people who are your brothers and sisters, and whom you do not know personally, you are exercising the right to be God’s ambassador in what is called “agape love.” “Agape love” is the highest form of love, a love that does not look for earthly rewards or give and take, but just does the service of intercession in the kingdom of God.

You will be blessed by the almighty God who gives each of His children good for the good we do and recompense for the bad we do.

Your sincere prayers for people around the world do the following things for the Kingdom, the King, and for the body of the Messiah:

1. They unite you and the body in a major transcendent bond of prayer.

2. They demonstrate the oneness of the people of God.

3. Your prayer shows that there are people outside the realm of the physical world and personal interests who have a sincere bond and relationship that is heavenly and not earthly.

4. The Lord knows His children and gives credit and reward according to His promises.

As the demands for food for people who never before needed such help grows, I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to visit here and do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.

Our prime minister’s case is still before the courts. I am not happy that this is happening in Israel, but I am praying that true justice and righteousness is exhibited in our court system.

The truth must come out and I am not interested in a second prime minister of Israel going to jail. We have had a president in jail, a finance minister in jail, a minister of interior affairs in jail, and a member of the parliament in jail.

Pray for some dear friends, Rabbi Salt, and his family and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings.

We are praying for Tali and asking you all to pray for Tali. We need to ask God to heal and bless this dear sister that is suffering both physically and materially. Tali has three teenage daughters with health problems and Tali herself has some serious health problems.

The coronavirus is threatening the economy of the world with a great recession and depression. Some of our major supporters have already lowered the amount of their support. They have done this not only toward Netivyah, but for all the ministries that they are supporting, and they are many.

I would like for you who stand with us in prayer and financially to do your absolute best to stay on board with us and communicate. We realize that times will be hard for several years, but we also realize that God has chosen and blessed you for such a time as this.

Also, please pray for a new project that we are starting in Israel in partnership with the Houses for Healing ministry from Abilene, Texas. The aim is to provide hospitality for families of critically ill patients who are hospitalized in one of Jerusalem’s hospitals and who have no means to stay in hotels while their family members are in the hospitals.

This is a critical need, especially in these days when there are hundreds of men and women who are in the coronavirus ICU units for weeks and even months. We need your prayer and your help to make this a meaningful and significant blessing both to the sick and to their families.

I wish all of you, who stand with Israel and who pray for Jerusalem, the best of the Lord’s blessings and the fulfillment of all His promises to His faithful children.

Those who hear God and do His will are the ones who are called wise! Those who only hear His word and don’t do it are called foolish! Let us all strive to be wise and never foolish! The best is yet to come!

P.S. Netivyah has distributed around 200 special gifts for all the Messianic soldiers currently serving in the Israeli Defense Forces (Israeli army). We bless all of our soldiers twice a year and the Feast of Purim (Feast of Esther) is one of these occasions and the Jewish New Year is another occasion. The soldiers really are encouraged that we have not forgotten them and that we think of really useful and appropriate gifts. This year each soldier gets a hefty bag full of goodies like chocolates and other snacks and also a Leatherman multi-tool. These are useful especially for the soldiers that out in the field guarding and protecting us.
