예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2022년 10월 6일

이번 토라 포션은 끝에서 두 번째 토라 포션인 “하아지누”, 신명기 32:1-52입니다. 이 토라 포션은 사도 바울의 신학과, 구원의 복음을 열방(이방)에 전해주는 사명의 근거입니다. 우리가 신명기 32장을 이해하지 못한다면, 사도 바울과, 그의 메시지와, 그의 서신과, 하나님께서 열방에 복음을 전하도록 그를 보내신 바로 그 사명도 이해하지 못할 것입니다.
이번 안식일에 선지서에서 읽는 부분은 사무엘하 22:1-51입니다. 이 말씀도 아주 흥미롭고 중요합니다. 이것은 다윗왕의 진짜 시인데요, 우리가 알기로 다윗이 쓴 마지막 시 중 하나입니다. 다윗왕의 주요 메시지는 하나님께서 그를 사울왕에게서 구하신 날 쓴 것입니다. 이 시의 2절은 메시아적 관점에서도 아주 중요한 의미가 있습니다: “여호와는 나의 반석이시요 나의 요새시요 나를 건지시는 이시요 나의 하나님이시요 내가 그 안에 피할 나의 바위시요 나의 방패시요 나의 구원의 뿔이시요 나의 산성이시로다.” — 시편 18:2 다윗이 이 시에서 사용하고 있는 문구는 아주 메시아적입니다. 하나님을 “나의 반석”이라고 부르는 것은, 모세가 시내산에서 하나님을 만나던 때-모세가 반석 위에 서라고 명령 받고 하나님께서 그분의 등을 모세에게 보이시며 말씀으로 그분의 성품을 설명하시던 때-를 생각나게 합니다. 하나님께서 모세에게 그분의 성품을 설명하신 문구 중에는 출애굽기 34:6,7의 “자비롭고 은혜롭고”와 같은 문구가 있었고, 가장 중요한 문구는 “은혜와 진리(인자와 진실)”가 많은 하나님이라는 문구입니다. 요한복음 1:17에서, 사도 요한은 “은혜와 진리가 많은”이라는 이 문구를 사용합니다. 이 문구는 아주 메시아적인 문구입니다. 이것은 구약성경에서는 20회 사용되었지만, 많은 기독교인들이 은혜와 진리라는 이 두 단어의 의미를 알거나 이해하지 못합니다. 짝을 이룬 이 단어들의 중요성 때문에, 출애굽기 번역자들은 의도적으로 요한복음에 있는 이 단어들의 출애굽기 33:20-34:7과의 연관성을 가린 것입니다. 하나님의 본성 중에서 (성령으로 말미암아) 사도 요한이 예슈아께 돌린 이 두 성품의 중요성은 대단한 것이어서 지금 설명되어야 할 것입니다. 은혜와 진리는 보통 상황에서는 함께 할 수 없는 특성입니다. 여러분이 시장에 가서 신선한 생선을 2파운드 사겠다고 했는데, 생선 장수는 여러분에게 생선 2.5파운드를 주었다고 합시다. 여러분이 2파운드어치 값을 냈으면, 여러분은 지불한 돈보다 더 많은 생선을 얻은 것입니다. 여러분은 돈 낸 것보다 반 파운드만큼 더 은혜를 입은 것입니다. 그것은 진리(진실)가 아니라, 은혜입니다! 하나님께서 이 두 성품을 동시에 표현하셨던 유일한 경우이자 상황은 예슈아께서 십자가에 달리셨을 때입니다. 십자가에서의 진리는 유대인의 왕이시고 메시아이신 한 유대인이 로마군 십자가에 못 박혔다는 것입니다. 그분께서는 인간이 다른 인간을 처형하여 죽이는 방법으로 생각해낸 가장 잔인한 방법 중 하나의 방법으로 죽임당했습니다. 십자가는 진리(진실)이지만, 이 끔찍한 진리에서 많은 사람을 위한 하나님의 은혜가 생겨났습니다. 진리와 은혜는 예슈아의 죽음, 장사, 부활이라는 같은 사건에서 동시에 생겨났습니다. 저는 신명기 32장이 바울이 이방인에게 말씀을 가르친 근거이고, 이스라엘 민족에게 일어나고 있는 일을 이해하는 근거라고 말씀드렸습니다. 다음은 세 가지 포인트로 요약한 개요입니다: 1. 신명기 32장 모세의 노래는 법정 소송입니다. 하나님께서는 하늘과 땅을 초대항여 그분과 이스라엘 사이에 판단하라고 합니다. 이 법정과 판결에서 하나님께서 원고입니다. 하나님께서는 그분께서 그분의 자녀인, 시내 광야를 지나는 동안 그분께서 기르신 민족을 위해 옳고 선한 모든 일을 하셨고, 40년 동안 그들에게 만나를 먹이시고 반석에서 물을 주셨다고 말씀합니다. 2. 그들 이스라엘은 감사하지 않았습니다. 그들을 기르시고 그들의 조상 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 약속하신 것을 지키신 하나님을 배신하고 우상에게로 돌아섰습니다. 이스라엘은 우상숭배로 돌아서 하나님께 시기를 불러일으켰습니다. 3. 하나님께서는 이방인을 통해 이스라엘에 시기를 불러일으켜, 그들이 그들에게서 얼굴을 가리신 그분을 찾도록 하실 것입니다. 이것이 바로 바울이 로마서 9장부터 11장까지, 특히 다음 구절을 쓴 배경이자 동기입니다: “그러므로 내가 말하노니 그들이 넘어지기까지 실족하였느냐 그럴 수 없느니라 그들이 넘어짐으로 구원이 이방인에게 이르러 이스라엘로 시기나게 함이니라 그들의 넘어짐이 세상의 풍성함이 되며 그들의 실패가 이방인의 풍성함이 되거든 하물며 그들의 충만함이리요 내가 이방인인 너희에게 말하노라 내가 이방인의 사도인 만큼 내 직분을 영광스럽게 여기노니 이는 혹 내 골육을 아무쪼록 시기하게 하여 그들 중에서 얼마를 구원하려 함이라 그들을 버리는 것이 세상의 화목이 되거든 그 받아들이는 것이 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나는 것이 아니면 무엇이리요” — 로마서 11:11-15 이제 바울 서신의 본문과 그가 열방(이방)에 가서 복음을 전하는 임무와 영감의 원천이 된 본문을 비교해봅니다: “그런데 여수룬이 기름지매 발로 찼도다 네가 살찌고 비대하고 윤택하매 자기를 지으신 하나님을 버리고 자기를 구원하신 반석을 업신여겼도다 그들이 다른 신으로 그의 질투를 일으키며 가증한 것으로 그의 진노를 격발하였도다 그들은 하나님께 제사하지 아니하고 귀신들에게 하였으니 곧 그들이 알지 못하던 신들, 근래에 들어온 새로운 신들 너희의 조상들이 두려워하지 아니하던 것들이로다 너를 낳은 반석을 네가 상관하지 아니하고 너를 내신 하나님을 네가 잊었도다 그러므로 여호와께서 보시고 미워하셨으니 그 자녀가 그를 격노하게 한 까닭이로다 그가 말씀하시기를 내가 내 얼굴을 그들에게서 숨겨 그들의 종말이 어떠함을 보리니 그들은 심히 패역한 세대요 진실이 없는 자녀임이로다 그들이 하나님이 아닌 것으로 내 질투를 일으키며 허무한 것으로 내 진노를 일으켰으니 나도 백성이 아닌 자로 그들에게 시기가 나게 하며 어리석은 민족으로 그들의 분노를 일으키리로다 그러므로 내 분노의 불이 일어나서 스올의 깊은 곳까지 불사르며 땅과 그 소산을 삼키며 산들의 터도 불타게 하는도다.” — 신명기 32:15-22 이 본문 말씀에서 중요한 점은 이방인을 포함시키는 하나님의 계획이 바울과 신약성경에서 처음 시작된 것이 아니라, 모세 때부터 고전 선지자들을 거쳐 내려오는 붉은 실 같이 하나님의 계획의 일부였다는 것입니다: “또 그가 기치를 세우시고 먼 나라들을 불러 땅 끝에서부터 자기에게로 오게 하실 것이라 보라 그들이 빨리 달려올 것이로되” — 이사야 5:26 “여호와께서 열방을 향하여 기치를 세우시고 이스라엘의 쫓긴 자들을 모으시며 땅 사방에서 유다의 흩어진 자들을 모으시리니” — 이사야 11:12 “주 여호와가 이같이 이르노라 내가 뭇 나라를 향하여 나의 손을 들고 민족들을 향하여 나의 기치를 세울 것이라 그들이 네 아들들을 품에 안고 네 딸들을 어깨에 메고 올 것이며” — 이사야 49:22 “여호와께서 열방의 목전에서 그의 거룩한 팔을 나타내셨으므로 땅 끝까지도 모두 우리 하나님의 구원을 보았도다.” — 이사야 52:10 “이는 네가 좌우로 퍼지며 네 자손은 열방을 얻으며 황폐한 성읍들을 사람 살 곳이 되게 할 것임이라.” — 이사야 54:3 “그 날에 내가 다윗의 무너진 장막을 일으키고 그것들의 틈을 막으며 그 허물어진 것을 일으켜서 옛적과 같이 세우고 그들이 에돔의 남은 자와 내 이름으로 일컫는 만국을 기업으로 얻게 하리라 이 일을 행하시는 여호와의 말씀이니라.” — 아모스 9:11,12 아모스 9:11-12의 이 마지막 본문은 야고보가 다른 사도들과 바울과 예루살렘 교회의 장로들에게, 이방인이 유대교로 개종할 필요가 없으며, 우리 형제가 될 권리와 할례를 받지 않을 특권이 있으나, 창세기 9장에서 하나님께서 노아에게 주신 율법을 지키기만 하면 됨을 확신시키기 위해 인용한 것입니다. 그렇습니다, 친애하는 형제자매 여러분, 하나님의 나라에 이방인을 포함시키는 것은 처음부터 하나님의 계획의 일부입니다. 우리 시대에 이방인 형제들에게는 큰 도전과 해야 할 일이 있습니다. 그것은 유대 민족을 시기나게 하는 것입니다. 문제는 “어떻게?”입니다. 그 대답은 분명히 이스라엘에 선교사를 보내 그들의 분파와 조직 신학을 전하고 사랑하는 우리 유대 형제자매들을 혼란시키고 어리둥절하게 만드는 것이 아닙니다. 이방인이 유대인을 시기나게 하는 유일한 방법은 유대인을 사랑하고 유대인과 함께 서서 이스라엘을 지지하고 이스라엘의 하나님과 이스라엘 땅을 우리 유대인보다 더 사랑하는 것뿐입니다. 우리 유대인이 이방인들이 이스라엘과 함께 서고, 이스라엘의 선한 일을 지지하고, 기도와 다른 모든 수단으로 그들 지역의 이스라엘인 유대인 형제자매들을 지원하는 것을 볼 때, 그것은 여기 이스라엘 현지에 있는 예슈아의 몸에 대한 지지와 동일시하는 것을 보여주는 것입니다. 이것이 이방인 그리스도인들에게 하나님께서 주신 과업이자 사명이자 도전입니다. 모든 방식으로 이스라엘과 함께 서서 이스라엘 현지에 있는 예슈아의 무교파 제자들을 지지하는 것입니다. 무엇보다도, 돈 들지 않으면서 우리 가운데 가장 강력한 일을 하십시오. 우리를 위해, 그리고 국가이자, 한 민족이자, 세계에서 유일한 유대 국가인 이스라엘과 함께 기도해 주십시오. 이것은 모세부터 바울까지, 그리고 주님께서 영광 가운데 시온에 다시 오실 때까지 이방인들에게 주신 하나님의 사명입니다!

The Jerusalem Prayer List – October 6, 2022

This is the one before the last of the Torah portions: Ha’azinu, Deuteronomy 32:1-52. This Torah portion is the basis for the apostle Paul’s theology and mission to bring the Good News of salvation to the nations (the Gentiles). If we don’t understand chapter 32 of Deuteronomy, we don’t understand the apostle Paul, and the message, the letters, and the very mission in which God sent him to preach the Good News to the nations.
The portion of the reading from the prophets this Shabbat is from 2nd Samuel 22:1-51. It is also very interesting and important. It is a true psalm of King David, and one of the last things that we know that David wrote. The main message of King David is written on the day that God saved him from King Saul, who was seeking to kill him. The second line of this Psalm has great significance also from a messianic point of view: “Jehovah is my rock, my castle, and my deliverer to me; My Rock-God, in whom I trust: My shield and horn of my salvation, my fortress and my refuge, My Saviour; from violence Thou redeemest me.” — Psalm 18:2 The phrases that David uses in this Psalm are very messianic. Calling God “my rock” is reminiscent of the meeting of Moses with God on Mount Sinai – when he, Moses, is ordered to stand on the rock and God reveals His back to Moses, and spells out His character in words. Among the words that God shares with Moses in Exodus 34:6,7 are phrases like “merciful and gracious”, and the most important phrase is “grace and truth”. In John 1:17, the apostle John uses the phrase, “full of grace and truth”. This phrase is a very messianic phrase, and it is used 20 times in the Old Testament, but many Christians don’t know or understand the significance of these two words: grace and truth. Because of the importance of this pair of words, the translators of the book of Exodus purposefully masked the connection of the words of John in his first chapter with Exodus 33:20-34:7. The importance of these two characteristics of God’s nature attributed to Yeshua by the apostle John (by the Holy Spirit) is great, and it should be explained now. Grace and truth are two characteristics that are not able to be together under normal circumstances. Look, If you come to the marketplace and ask to buy two pounds of fresh fish, the fishmonger gives you two and a half pounds of fish. If you only paid for two pounds you didn’t get a true value for your payment. You got grace of half a pound more than you paid for. It is not truth, it is now grace! The only event and situation where God has expressed these two characteristics at the same time is on the cross of Yeshua. On the cross, the truth is that a Jew, the King of the Jews, the Messiah, was crucified on a Roman cross. He was killed on one of the most cruel means of execution and killing devised by men to kill other men. The cross was the truth, but out of this horrible truth divine grace was born for the multitudes. Both truth and grace were born at the same time from the same event of Yeshua’s death, burial and resurrection. I said that chapter 32 of Deuteronomy is the basis for Paul’s teaching to the Gentiles, and also the basis of his understanding what is happening with the nation of Israel. Here is a synopsis in three points: 1. This song of Moses, chapter 32 of Deuteronomy, is a court case. God is inviting the heavens and the earth to judge between Him and Israel. In this court and judgment, God is the plaintiff. God says that He did everything right and good for His children, for the nation that He nourished through the desert of Sinai. And He fed them manna and gave them water from the rock for 40 years. 2. They, Israel, were ungrateful and turned to idols and betrayed the Almighty who nursed them and kept His promises to their fathers: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Israel provoked God to jealousy by turning to worship Idols. 3. God is going to use the Gentiles to provoke Israel to jealousy, and provoke them to seek Him, because He has hidden His face from them. This is the exact background and motive that Paul uses when he writes the letter to the Romans chapter 9-11, and specifically the following verses: “I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness! For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry, if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them. For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?” — Romans 11:11-15 [NKJV] Now compare Paul’s text with the source of his inspiration and commission to go preach the good news to the nations (the Gentiles): “But Jeshurun grew fat and kicked; You grew fat, you grew thick, You are obese! Then he forsook God who made him, And scornfully esteemed the Rock of his salvation. They provoked Him to jealousy with foreign gods; With abominations they provoked Him to anger. They sacrificed to demons, not to God, To gods they did not know, To new gods, new arrivals That your fathers did not fear. Of the Rock who begot you, you are unmindful, And have forgotten the God who fathered you. And when the Lord saw it, He spurned them, Because of the provocation of His sons and His daughters. And He said: ‘I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end will be, For they are a perverse generation, Children in whom is no faith. They have provoked Me to jealousy by what is not God; They have moved Me to anger by their foolish idols. But I will provoke them to jealousy by those who are not a nation; I will move them to anger by a foolish nation. For a fire is kindled in My anger, And shall burn to the lowest hell; It shall consume the earth with her increase, And set on fire the foundations of the mountains.’” — Deuteronomy 32:15-22 [NKJV] The important thing in these texts is that God’s program to include the Gentiles is not a Pauline-and-New-Testament invention, but it was a part of God’s program from the days of Moses, going like a crimson thread through the classical prophets: “He will lift up a banner to the nations from afar, And will whistle to them from the end of the earth; Surely they shall come with speed, swiftly.” — Isaiah 5:26 “He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble the outcasts of Israel, And gather together the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth.” — Isaiah 11:12 “Thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations, And set up My standard for the peoples; They shall bring your sons in their arms, And your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders…’” — Isaiah 49:22 “The Lord has made bare His holy arm In the eyes of all the nations; And all the ends of the earth shall see The salvation of our God.” — Isaiah 52:10 “For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited.” — Isaiah 54:3 “On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old; That they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,’ Says the Lord who does this thing.” — Amos 9:11,12 This last text from Amos 9:11-12 is what Jacob (James) is quoting to the other apostles, and to Paul and the elders of the church in Jerusalem, to convince them that the Gentiles don’t need to convert to Judaism, but that they have the right and the privilege to be our brothers and not be circumcised, but just keep the laws that God gave to Noah in Genesis 9. Yes, dear brothers and sisters, the inclusion of the Gentiles in the Kingdom of God is a part of God’s plan from the beginning. The Gentile brothers in our day have a big challenge and a big job to do, and that is to provoke the Jewish people to jealousy. The question is how? The answer is definitely not by sending missionaries to Israel to share their divisiveness and systematic theologies, and confuse and confound our dear Jewish brothers and sisters. The only way for Gentiles to provoke the Jews to jealousy is to love the Jews, to stand with the Jews, to support Israel, and to love the God of Israel and the land of Israel even more than we Jews do. When we see Gentiles stand with Israel, support good works in Israel, and support their local Israeli Jewish brothers and sisters by prayer, and by every other means — that shows support and identification with the local body of Yeshua in this land of Israel. This is the God-given task and mission and challenge of the Gentile Christians. To stand with Israel in every way, and stand and support the local non-denominational disciples of Yeshua in the land of Israel. Above all, do what is free and the most powerful amongst us — pray for us and with Israel as a nation, and as a people, and as the only Jewish state in the world. This is God’s commission for the Gentiles from Moses to Paul, and until the Lord returns to Zion with glory!

Ilana Ahijervie, a dear sister who is 98 years old and suffering from memory problems.
Lea Korky, a dear sister who is 89 years old and served for many years as a nurse in the Sha’arei Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
Sarit, a sister born in Jerusalem, over 87 years old, lives alone. Has no close family, and suffers from several old-age illnesses.
David Stern, a dear old brother, and friend. Suffering from advanced stages of Parkinson’s.
Yehuda Hochman, is a dear older brother living in the Negev desert with some illness that needs healing.
Please put Marcia Shulam and me, Joseph Shulam in your daily prayers. We trust in the Almighty God His mercy is sufficient for us, but prayer by honest and sincere brothers and sisters can surely wake up God’s mercy and at least stop the deterioration of Marcia’s memory.
My dear wife is suffering from severe diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis and now also from memory loss. She was diagnosed with dementia. Childhood-onset Diabetics are susceptible to memory problems.
Marcia can’t be left alone, and I must stay home most of the days of the week, and if I leave the house someone has to come and stay with Marcia to make sure that she takes her insulin. We are praying for someone to live with us and help us with caring for Marcia.
Pray for Adam R., Adam works in Netivyah as the media director and he, like Yehuda and Daniel, has been raised in Netivyah congregation in the Galilee. Adam has lost much of his hearing as a result of a virus. Pray for Adam and his family of 8 children.
Pray for Adam’s father and mother, Barry and Dalia. They too have some health problems and challenges.
Pray for Miriam and for Hannah, her daughter. Miriam is a dear sister and has lost her husband recently. Pray for Daniel S. and his children. Our dear leader in the Ro’eh Israel congregation, Gary, and his health, and for his wife Melanie and their family.
Pray for Um Mahmud Abu-Eid and Jimmy Abu-Eid and all of the family. This is a dear family of old friends that needs healing and wisdom for the children and for their work.
Please pray for the Romero family who live deep in the Negev desert. It is hot there and they are far from our congregation, we miss them, but we wish them a wonderful summer.
Pray for the Ro’eh Israel congregation and the leadership of Netivyah. I have received my last check in the end of August. I am no longer employed by Netivyah. I am continuing the Lord’s work without stopping or slowing down for one minute. I need your prayers because from January I will be living on a pension. Until January, by God’s grace!

Pray for the congregations related to Netivyah in Brazil, to have the strength and stamina to face the challenges in front of them with courage and strength of faithfulness to the Lord, and to the vision of the restoration of the church and Israel.
Pray for the millions of victims of the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition who have been forced to convert to the Catholic church, and now want to return home to the land of Israel and to the faith of our fathers.
Pray for the state of Israel to open the doors for these lost Jews to be able to return and fulfill God’s promises to the prophet Ovadyah:
“But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. The house of Jacob shall be a fire, And the house of Joseph a flame; But the house of Esau shall be stubble; They shall kindle them and devour them, And no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau, For the Lord has spoken. The South shall possess the mountains of Esau, And the Lowland shall possess Philistia. They shall possess the fields of Ephraim And the fields of Samaria. Benjamin shall possess Gilead. And the captives of this host of the children of Israel Shall possess the land of the Canaanites As far as Zarephath. The captives of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad Shall possess the cities of the South. Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion To judge the mountains of Esau, And the kingdom shall be the Lord’s.” — Obadiah 1:17-21 [NKJV]
Pray for Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias. He is the father of a dear sister in Brazil.
Pray for a dear young man, Paulo, from Curitiba, Brazil, who is seriously needing our prayers for sanity and mental health.
Pray for our dear brother Marcelo G. and his family. Marcelo is a pioneer in the establishing the Teaching from Zion ministry in Brazil and the Har Zion Congregation in Belo-Horizonte.
Pray for Marcelo’s father who is up in the years. Pray for our brothers in the Har Zion congregation, the widow of Pastor George, and for those who are ill and need healing.
Pray for Livia Schnell Nothen, she has some issues with her physical health and a growth in her adrenal gland. And other health issues.

Pray for Bernardo Antonio Nothen Becker. Bernardo is addicted to gambling and playing poker. This caused deep sorrow to his family.
Fernanda Nothen Becker, our dear sister has problems with her job that cause her pressure and challenges. Pray for the social situation in Fernanda’s work to turn and her suffering to turn into joy and friendship.

Pray for Ruby Little, our dear and faithful sister who has cancer and has stopped receiving medical treatment for the cancer that she has. Please pray for Ruby that the Lord will heal and strengthen her and provide for all her needs both medically and socially.
