예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2020년 8월 6일

지난 안식일에 우리는 모세가 어떻게 하나님께 그가 요단강을 건너 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 약속된 땅을 보게 해달라고 간청했고, 하나님께서 어떻게 모세가 요단강을 건너는 것을 허락하지 않으셨는지를 읽었습니다. 여러분이 주님께서 은혜로우시며 오래 참으시며 은혜와 진리가 충만하신 분으로 보며(출 34:5-6), 처음 볼 때는 이렇게 모세에게 거절하신 하나님의 거절은 좀 난해해 보입니다.
그러나 여러분이 하나님께서 이 모든 것과, 무엇이 모세와 이스라엘에게 최선인지 아신다는 사실을 고려할 때, 여러분은 하나님께서 왜 모세에게 “그만해도 족하다. 네가 이 일로 다시 내게 애걸하는 것을 듣고 싶지 않다. 너는 요단강을 건너 가나안땅에 들어가지 못할 것이다. 너는 산에 올라 그곳에서 죽을 것이다.”(의역)라고 말씀하셨는지 그 마땅한 이유를 생각하실 수 있을 것입니다. 그런 이유 중 하나는 눈의 아들 여호수아가 모세에 의해 지도자로 임명되었다는 것입니다. 만약 모세가 주변에 있으면 여호수아의 권위는 자동적으로 손상됩니다. 사람들은 여호수아가 내린 모든 결정을 가지고 모세에게 가서 그의 의견을 물을 것입니다. 사람들이 여호수아의 결정과 판단이 마음에 들지 않으면, 모세에게 가서 불평을 하게 될 테고, 그러면 모세는 어쩔 수 없이 여호수아 편을 들든지, 반대편에 서든지 해야 할 것입니다. 세상에서 최고의 지도자조차 자신은 어느 때 한 시절 동안만 좋은 것뿐이라는 것을 알아야만 합니다. 지도자들은 어느 때 어느 곳에 맞춰 만들어집니다. 자기 시대와 요건 속에서 성공한, 세상에서 가장 위대한 지도자들조차 그들을 그들의 요건들과 그들의 시대조건에서 데리고나와 다른 시대와 장소에 둬보십시오, 그러면 그들은 완전히 실패자가 될 것입니다. 이제 토라 포션으로 오면, 우리는 신명기 7:12~11:25을 읽을 것입니다. 이 긴 파라샤는 “에켑”이라고 부르는데요, 에켑은 “왜냐하면”이라고 번역될 것입니다. 선지자의 글에서는 이사야 49:14~51:3, 신약성경에서는 로마서 8:31-39을 읽을 것입니다. 여러분도 아시다시피, 전통은 언제나 토라에서 읽는 부분과 선지자의 글에서 읽는 부분 사이에 상관관계를 찾습니다. 예슈아의 제자인 우리는 신약성경에서도 토라에서 읽는 부분과 가능하다면 선지자의 글에서 읽는 부분과도 상관관계가 있는 말씀을 찾아 읽고 싶습니다. 그 원리가 중요합니다: 주님의 계시는 창세기부터 요한계시록까지며, 불타는 떨기나무에서 모세에게 말씀하셨던 바로 그 성령님께서 밧모섬에서 주의 사자를 통해 사도 요한에게 말씀하시고 계시(세상의 종말)를 드러내신 영이시라는 것입니다. 기독교인들을 소위 ‘구약(옛 언약)’으로부터 인위적으로 분리시키고 소외시킨 것이 기독교와 기독교인들에게 큰 피해를 입혔는데요, 기독교와 기독교인들이 성경을 너무 무시해오고 있기에 그렇습니다. 기독교인들은 다음과 같은 말씀들을 무시하여 하나님의 계시의 충만함을 빼앗겼습니다: “모든 성경은 하나님의 감동으로 된 것으로 교훈과 책망과 바르게 함과 의로 교육하기에 유익하니 이는 하나님의 사람으로 온전하게 하며 모든 선한 일을 행할 능력을 갖추게 하려 함이라.” – 디모데후서 3:16,17 주: 이 구절은 바울이 이 편지를 디모데에게 쓸 당시의 “모든 성경”을 말하고 있습니다. 신약성경 대부분은 아직 문서화하지 않았을 때입니다. 이 교훈을 왜곡하거나 무시하는 것은 묵과할 수 없는 범죄입니다. 이 범죄는 바로 오늘까지도 계속되고 있는데요, 이것은 기독교인들에게는 창세기부터 말라기까지의 하나님의 말씀이 필요하지 않고 오로지 마태복음부터 요한계시록까지만 필요하다는 등의 허위와 거짓 가르침으로 뒷받침되고 있습니다. 그런데 마태복음, 마가복음, 누가복음, 요한복음도 정말 중요하게 여겨지지 않고 있는 것은, 예수님의 십자가와 부활 전의 예수님의 이야기를 말하고 있기 때문이라는 것입니다. “그러므로 생각하라 너희는 그 때에 육체로는 이방인이요 손으로 육체에 행한 할례를 받은 무리라 칭하는 자들로부터 할례를 받지 않은 무리라 칭함을 받는 자들이라 그 때에 너희는 그리스도 밖에 있었고 이스라엘 나라 밖의 사람이라 약속의 언약들에 대하여는 외인이요 세상에서 소망이 없고 하나님도 없는 자이더니 이제는 전에 멀리 있던 너희가 그리스도 예수 안에서 그리스도의 피로 가까워졌느니라.” – 에베소서 2:11-13 또 한 번 여기 있는 하나님의 말씀도 무시되거나 왜곡되고 있습니다. 대부분의 교회에서 가르치는 것은 한 때 육체로 이방인이며 무할례자였던 비-유대인인 여러분이 지금은 그리스도, 메시아 안에 있다는 것입니다. 이제 그리스도 안에서 여러분은 더 이상 이방인이 아니며 이스라엘 나라에 들어왔고, 더 이상 약속의 언약들에 대하여 외인이 아니라는 것입니다. 이 본문 말씀이 단수로 언약이 아니라 복수로 “언약들”이라고 말하고 있음을 주목하십시오. 여러분은 메시아(그리스도)를 통해 어떤 언약들을 받으셨습니까? 하나님께서 인류와 이스라엘에게, 이제는 어느 민족이든 세례를 통해 죽음과 부활에 참예함으로 그리스도에게 들어온 모든 사람을 포함하는 이스라엘에게 주신 모든 언약들입니다(롬 6:2-14 참조). 여러분은 마지막 때에 대한 비전을 읽고(사 66장) 모든 민족에서 예슈아(그리스도)를 통해 예루살렘을 받아들인 모든 사람을 향한 하나님의 계획이 무엇인지 알 수 있습니다. 신약교회의 회복의 일환으로 우리는 기독교회들에 “교육과 바르게 함과 하나님이 사람으로 모든 선한 일을 행할 능력을 갖추게 하는” 권위로서 창세기부터 요한계시록까지 모든 성경의 지위와 존중을 회복해야 합니다(딤후 3:16,17). 신명기 말씀과 이사야 49:11~51:3 말씀을 읽으시기 바랍니다. 이 말씀을 보고 연구하는 것이 중요한 것은 이사야 말씀에 중요한 가르침이 있기 때문인데요, 누가 하나님의 종인가에 대하여 전환이 있습니다. 이사야 49장 전까지 하나님의 종은 이스라엘 민족입니다. 49장부터는 하나님의 종이 한 사람으로서, 멸시당하고 거절당했으나 그가 우리의 죄를 그의 어깨에 짊어지셨고, 그가 채찍에 맞음으로 우리가 나음을 입습니다 … 여러분이 읽으시는 부분에 주의를 기울여 신명기 7:12~11:25의 토라 포션과의 연관성을 찾으며 읽어보시기 바랍니다.
이스라엘은 아직도 코로나바이러스와 싸우고 있는데요, 2차 창궐 중이며 매일 코로나바이러스 신규 확진자가 2,000명 이상 생기고 있습니다.
사망자수는 500명이 넘었고, 사망자의 평균연령은 82세입니다. 이것은 노인들과 당뇨병 같은 기저질환이 있는 사람들이 제일 위험하다는 것을 보여줍니다. 코로나바이러스가 어느 정도 변이된 것 같기는 합니다. 지금은 훨씬 더 젊은 사람들조차 고위험군에 들고 많은 사람들이 코로나바이러스 합병증으로 죽고 있습니다.
우리는 전 세계와 각자의 나라를 위해 그리고 거기에 이스라엘을 추가하여 기도해야 합니다. 저는 이 코로나바이러스가 이스라엘을 훈육하여 그들이 하나님과 더 좋은 관계로 회복되고 그들의 창조주를 더 존경하도록 하나님께서 보내셨던 성경의 다른 모든 염병 같은 전염병이라고 믿습니다. 이스라엘이 회개했을 때나 모세가 들어 올렸던 놋뱀을 바라보았을 때, 그들은 치유 받았습니다.
우리 모두는 우리 지도자들이 우리를 회개로, 죄와 허물을 고백하도록 이끌어 주님께서 이 코로나바이러스를 이 땅에서 거두시고, 우리가 주님을 기억하며 그분의 의와 진리의 길로 걸어가기를 구하도록 기도합니다.

by Joseph Shulam, Jerusalem, Israel Last Shabbat we read how Moses pleaded with God to allow him to cross the Jordan River and see the Land that was promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God refused to allow Moses to cross the Jordan River. At first sight this refusal of God to Moses seems a bit difficult when you view the Lord as being gracious and longsuffering, full of grace and truth (Exodus 34:5-6). However when you take into account that God knows it all and knows what is best for Moses and for Israel, you can imagine the good reasons why God told Moses, “Enough I don’t want to hear you beg me again on this matter. You are not crossing the Jordan River into the Land of Canaan. You are to climb up the mountain and die there.” (paraphrased) One of the reasons is that Joshua the son of Nun, was appointed by Moses to be the leader. If Moses is around, the authority of Joshua is automatically compromised. People will come to Moses with every decision that Joshua would make and ask Moses for his opinion. If people don’t like Joshua’s decisions and judgment, they would come to Moses and complain and Moses would be forced to take sides, with Joshua or against Joshua. Even the best leader in the world has to know that he is only good for a time and a season. Leaders are tailor made for a time and place. Take them out of their element, out of their time frame, and even the greatest leaders in the world, succeed in their time and element, but put them in another time and place, and they become total failures. Now we are reading the Torah from Deuteronomy 7:12-11:25. This long parasha (portion) is called Ekev in English. Ekev would translate as “because.” From the Prophets we are reading from Isaiah 49:14-51:3, and from the New Testament we are reading Romans 8:31-39. As you can see, the tradition is to always find a correlation between the reading of the Torah and that from the Prophets. As Jewish disciples of Yeshua we want to read from the New Testament also and find some text that has a connection with the reading from the Torah, and also if possible, the prophets. The principle is important: The revelation of the Lord is from Genesis to Revelation. The same Holy Spirit that spoke to Moses from the burning bush is the spirit that spoke to the apostle John through the Angel on the island of Patmos, and who revealed to the apostle John the Revelation (Apocalypse). The artificial separation and alienation of the Christian from the so called ‘Old Testament’ has caused much damage to Christianity and Christians, who have ignored so much of the scriptures. Christians have been robbed of the fullness of God’s revelation by ignoring texts like these: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” – 2 Timothy 3:16,17 [NKJV] Note: This is speaking of “All Scripture” in the period that Paul was writing this to Timothy, most of the New Testament had not yet been put into writing. To twist or ignore this instruction is a crime that cannot be overlooked. This crime continues until this very day, and is supported by fake and false teachings such as that Christians don’t need the word of God from Genesis to Malachi. That Christians need only from Matthew to Revelation, but even Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, are not really considered important because they tell the story of Jesus before the cross and the risen Christ. “Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” – Ephesians 2:11-13 [NKJV] Again here the word of God is either ignored or twisted. The teaching in most churches is that you, the non-Jews who at one time were Gentiles in the flesh aliens and called uncircumcision are now in Christ, in the Messiah. Now in Christ you are no longer aliens and have entered into the commonwealth of Israel and you are no longer strangers to the covenants of promise. Note that this text says “covenants” in the plural, not covenant in the singular. Which covenants have you received through the Messiah (The Christ)? – all the covenants that God has given to mankind and to Israel now include every person from any nation that has entered in Christ, by death and resurrection that is, who participates through baptism (see Romans 6:2-14). You can read the vision for the last days (Isaiah 66) and see what God’s plan is for all the people from all the nations that have accepted and adopted Jerusalem through Yeshua (The Christ). As a part of the restoration of the New Testament Church we must restore the place and respect of the Christian churches for the whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, as authority for “instruction and correction and equipping the man of God to do all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16,17) Please read the texts from Deuteronomy and from Isaiah 49:11 – 51:3. This text is important to see and study because it has the important teaching in Isaiah, of the switch as to who is the servant of God. Until chapter 49 – the servant of God is the nation of Israel, from Isaiah 49 on through the book of Isaiah the servant of God is one Person, despised and rejected, but He takes our sins on His shoulders, and by His stripes we are healed… Please pay attention to your reading and read looking for the connection with the reading of the Torah from Deuteronomy 7:12 – 11:25.
Israel is still fighting the coronavirus and we are still in the second wave and around 2000 people in Israel are added every day to the list of those who have been infected with the coronavirus.
The number of dead has risen above 500 people, and the average age of the dead is 82 years old. This is a clear indication that those being old and with pre-existing conditions like diabetes are at the greatest risk. Although it seems like the coronavirus has mutated some and now even much younger people are at high risk and many die with coronavirus complications.
We must pray for the whole world and each of us for his own country and to add Israel. I believe that this coronavirus is a plague like all the biblical plagues that God sent to educate Israel and restore them to a better relationship with Him, and to greater respect for their Creator. When Israel repented or looked at the brass snake that Moses lifted up, they received healing.
Let us all pray and encourage our leaders to lead and point us toward repentance and to confession of our sins and weaknesses, so that the Lord will lift this coronavirus from off of this earth and we will remember the Lord and seek to walk in His paths of righteousness and truth.
Please keep praying for Marcia’s health, her memory, diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis. Danah our daughter, needs much prayer for her situation and so does our granddaughter Noaam. Please lift Danah and Noaam in your prayers. Please lift Barry our son and his family, Beth, and Joey our grandson who are also staying at home and working from home during this time. Marcia’s mother June is 91 years old and her brothers and their families all need our prayers.
Brazil is in bad shape with the coronavirus and the problems of the business community, and the social unrest is also a major challenge. We have so many brothers and sisters in Brazil that need our prayers and intercession on their behalf. Here is a short list of communities and brothers and sisters in Brazil who need our prayers and God’s grace in these hard times: Pray for the sister communities of Netivyah in Brazil, Har Zion, Ensenando de Siao, and Sar-El in Curitiba and other brothers and sisters in the city of Curitiba.
There is another congregation of brothers and sisters in Curitiba led by brother Claus and brother Moses, please pray for these dear brothers also and for and the Messianic congregations in Fortaleza, Santa Maria, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and in other cities in Brazil. Pray for our dear older and more vulnerable brothers and partners in Brazil, Michelle O., Marcelo Guimaraes family and especially his father, Paulo, Marty Galante. The Resende family.
Pray for the healing of these brothers and sisters around the world: Sister Angela is in special need these days and her life is hanging on the mercy and grace of our Lord. Please lift sister Angela and T.J. her husband as they are battling their battle and are totally dependent on God’s mercy and healing. Samuel Lopes a 17-year-old boy who is going through an extremely hard time now. Pray for Rachael and Daniel a brother and sister who need jobs and emotional healing.

Today is also the big feast of the Muslim world, Eid Al Adcha, the Feast of the Sacrifice. Muslims and Druze the world over are celebrating this feast by a sacrifice of a lamb or a goat. We have good friends who are Muslims and I have asked you to pray for their family and for healing.
The family of Um Mahmud Abu-Eid and Jimmy their son. Please add to your prayers. I believe that this is a good thing for us to pray for friends and acquaintances who are Muslims. It is an act of love and reconciliation to carry before the throne of Mercy those dear people who are seeking peace and righteousness looking toward the Lord for mercy and healing.

By praying for people who are your brothers and sisters, and whom you do not know personally, you are exercising the right to be God’s ambassador in what is called “agape love.”
“Agape love” is the highest form of love, a love that does not look for earthly rewards or give and take, but just does the service of intercession in the kingdom of god.
You will be blessed by the Almighty God who gives each of His children good for the good we do and recompense for the bad we do. Your sincere prayers for people around the world do the following things for the Kingdom, the King, and for the body of the Messiah:
1. They unite you and the body in a major transcendent bond of prayer.
2. They demonstrate the oneness of the people of God.
3. Your prayer shows that there are people outside the realm of the physical world and personal interests who have a sincere bond and relationship that is heavenly and not earthly.
4. The Lord knows His children and gives credit and reward according to His promises.
These are brothers and sisters from around the world that need a little more grace from our Father in Heaven, Reuven and Clil who the Lord willing will be on their way home to Israel this weekend. Keep them both in your prayers. Their return home is what I have asked you to pray for in the last few weeks and the Lord is answering our prayers. God keep them safe and bring them back home.

Ahuva. Please pray for a dear brother who is well into his 90’s and lost his wife a couple of weeks ago. His name is Dov H.
Pray for Israel. We are going through terrible riots and violence in the streets of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv and other places around the country. These riots are motivated by the fact that much of the populace of Israel does not understand what the government is doing in relationship to the coronavirus pandemic.
Businesses are closing and bankruptcy is happening to old established companies and businesses and even our national airline is on the verge of bankruptcy. People do not have money to put food on their tables. The number of people in need of basic food is growing.
Netivyah has been feeding the poor of Jerusalem for more than 25 years and we have a highly appreciated humanitarian ministry that is working with the Jerusalem municipality. As the demands for food for people who never before needed such help grows, I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to go to the webpage: www.netivyah.org and do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.
Our prime minister’s case is still before the courts. I am not happy that this is happening in Israel, but I am praying that true justice and righteousness is exhibited in our court system. The truth must come out and I am not interested in a second prime ministry of Israel to go to jail. We have had a president in jail, and finance minister in Jail, a minister of interior affair in Jail, and member of the parliament in jail. Enough!
The world is in a terrible flux as millions of people are dealing with this coronavirus and hundreds of thousands of families have already lost their loved ones to this plague of biblical proportions. Still, we also need to be grateful for countries like Israel who are beginning to come out and return to normality with caution and care.
From our congregation in Jerusalem we ask you to join us in prayer for the following dear brothers and sisters: Gary, Melanie, Sarit, Gabriela, Ahuva, Leah, Ilana, Hannah, young Gabriela, Zvi D. and Bathsheba, Jonathan B. and his wife Aviva and their new baby.
Pray for some dear friends, Rabbi Morton Salt, and his family and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings. Pray also for the Orthodox Rabbinical group called Tzoaar. A group of courageous Rabbis in Israel who want to see a restoration of Torah values and a more uncomplicated approach to Jewish values and life-style. They are doing a great job in bringing the reality of the Torah into practice in the 21st century.
I was asked by brothers and sisters of the Messianic congregation, Shoresh David (The Root of David) in Portland, Oregon, to pray for Portland. Anarchist elements have taken the center of Portland, OR, and turned it into chaos, and disorder. So, please pray for Portland, OR, and for our brothers and sisters in that city.
The coronavirus is threatening the economy of the world with a great recession and depression. Some of our major supporters have already lowered the amount of their support. They have done this not only toward Netivyah, but for all the ministries that they are supporting, and they are many. I would like to first ask you to pray about your part in supporting Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.
Second, I would like for you who stand with us in prayer and financially to do your absolute best to stay on board with us and communicate. We realize that times will be hard for several years, but we also realize that God has chosen and blessed you for such a time as this.
I wish all of you, who stand with Israel and who pray for Jerusalem, the best of the Lord’s blessings and the fulfillment of all His promises to His faithful children. Those who hear God and do His will are the ones who are called wise! Those who only hear His word and don’t do it are called foolish! Let us all strive to be wise and never foolish!
