예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2020년 10월 22일

이번 주는 우리가 창세기부터 다시 읽기 시작한 후 두 번째 주입니다. 이번 주에 읽는 토라 포션은 두 번째 포션 “노아”입니다(창세기 6:9~11:32).
이 포션은 성경 전체에서 두 번째로 중요한 포션입니다. 창세기 1:1~6:8은 지난 주에 읽었고, 제 의견에 이것이 성경 전체에서 가장 근본적이고 중요한 부분입니다. 이번 안식일에 읽는 토라 포션 “노아”에서도 창조주와 그분의 피조물인 사람 사이의 관계의 하락이 계속됩니다. 이 말씀들에서 우리는 사람의 본성과, 중요하게는 만물의 주 창조주의 본성에 대해 더 배울 수 있습니다! 선지서에서 읽는 말씀은 이사야 54:1~55:5이며, 신약성경에서 읽는 말씀은 마태복음 24:36-46과 베드로전서 3:18-22입니다. 저는 인류의 타락을 요약한 것을 좀 다른 관점에서 되돌아보고 싶습니다: 1. 하나님께서는 천지를 창조하셨습니다. 우리가 보고 느끼고 먹고 꾸미고 짓는 모든 것이 엿새 동안의 하나님의 창조와 일곱째 날의 그분의 쉼으로 시작된 첫 이레 동안 하나님께서 하신 일에 근거를 두고 있습니다. 2. 아담과 이브에게 금지된 것은 오직 하나 – 선악을 알게 하는 나무 열매를 먹는 것이었습니다. 이브와 아담은 창조주의 권위를 무시하고 그들에게 금지된 한 가지 일을 하기로 택했습니다. 그 결과는 아직까지도 사람이 있는 곳은 어디든 온 세상을 계속 괴롭히고 있습니다. 3. 성경의 그 다음 이야기는 한 형이 “종교적” 이유로 자기 친 동생을 죽이는 이야기입니다. 4. 그 당시 사람들은 오래 살아, 수백 살을 살았습니다. 땅은 번성했고 날씨는 완벽하여 비가 내리지 않았습니다. 여전히 인류는 창조주를 거절하고 고칠 수 없을 정도로 죄를 지어 창조주께서는 그분께서 사람을 지으신 것을 후회하셨습니다. 5. 세상의 상태를 고칠 유일한 치료책은 싹 지우고 원점으로 돌리는 것이었습니다. 이렇게 하기 위해 창조주께서는 처음부터 다시 하는 것이 아닌, 노아와 그의 가족을 선택해 인류를 주님과의 올바른 관계로 회복시킬 씨가 되게 하심으로 인류를 보존시키시기로 하셨습니다. 6. 그 다음 여러분이 아시는 것은 홍수 후에도 즉, 노아의 가족의 구원 후에도 땅에는 여전히 죄가 있어 노아 자신과 그의 아들도 죄를 지었다는 것입니다. 홍수는 사람의 본성, 혹은 죄를 짓고 창조주의 계획에 불순종하는 사람의 경향을 변화시키지 않았습니다. 7. 그 다음 우리가 듣는 것은 온 인류가 연합하여 창조주를 그분의 권위의 자리에서 몰아내고 창조주의 권위로부터 독립하여 자기들의 권위를 세우려하는 것입니다. 8. 이번 주말에 읽는 말씀에서도 온 세상이 여전히 슬픈 상태에 빠져 있는데요, 고칠 수 없이 분열되고, 창조주의 사랑에서 멀어져, 다시금 주님의 긍휼과 은혜로 한 사람을 주시는데요, 그를 통해 창조주와 그분의 피조물 사이의 관계의 회복이 결국 이루어질 사람, 우리 조상 아브라함을 주십니다! 다음 주에 우리는 아브라함에 대해, 그리고 창조주께서 어떻게 메소포타미아 출신의 이 사람을 모든 민족에 축복이 되도록 사용하시고자 하시는지에 대해 읽을 것입니다. 친애하는 형제자매님들, 이 간략한 개요를 보시고 다음 질문을 자문해 보시기 바랍니다: 창세기의 이 도표 속 어디에서 여러분은 여러분 자신을 찾으실 것 같으십니까? 저 개인의 대답은 이렇습니다, 저는 에덴동산에서, 아마 뱀이 나오는 장면에서 저 자신을 찾아볼 수 있을 것 같습니다! 저는 가인의 동생 아벨 같이 종교적 공격의 희생자의 모습에서 저 자신을 발견할 것 같습니다. 저는 방주를 만들기 위해 노아와 함께 일하며 날마다 내 아버지 노아의 어리석음과 결코 이루어지지 않을 가망 없는 꿈에 대해 불평하는 목수의 모습에서 저 자신을 발견할 것 같습니다. 저는 연합을 위해 검은 색과 붉은 색 깃발을 들고 시위하며, 하늘에까지 닿아 인류에게 자유를 줄 탑을 쌓기 위한 자금을 모금하고, 존 레논처럼 나라들이 없는 하나의 세계를 상상하고 있는 모습에서 제 자신을 볼 수 있을 것 같습니다. 저는 바벨탑의 몰락 이후 꿈이 깨진 땅에서 제 자신을 발견할 것 같습니다. 절망감에서 행랑을 꾸려 풀이 죽고 낙담하고 아무 희망도 꿈도 없이 지구를 방랑할 준비를 할 것 같습니다. 고대 세계의 미국과 같았던 대국 이집트로 가는 길에 저는 수많은 낙타와 나귀가 줄지어 가는 사막의 대상(隊商)과, 부유하고 늙은 이라크 추장이 이끄는 작은 군대와, 아이를 낳지 못했고 늙었고 아주 두목 같은 그의 아내 사라가 이집트로 내려가고 있는 것을 만날 것 같습니다. 저는 그 대상을 이끌어가고 있는 엘리에젤에게 나도 그 여정에 함께 할 수 있겠느냐고 물을 것 같습니다. 그는 이렇게 말하겠지요: “젊은이, 자네가 우상을 섬기지 않겠다고 약속한다면, 우리와 함께 가도 되네!” 나머지 이야기는 여러분이 혼자서 이어갈 수 있을 것입니다. 이번 주에 선지서에서 읽는 말씀 역시 멋지고 고무적인 하나님의 말씀으로 가득합니다. 이 말씀 중에서 힘의 원천이라고 생각하는 몇 구절만 가져오겠습니다: “잉태하지 못하며 출산하지 못한 너는 노래할지어다 산고를 겪지 못한 너는 외쳐 노래할지어다 이는 홀로 된 여인의 자식이 남편 있는 자의 자식보다 많음이라 여호와께서 말씀하셨느니라 네 장막터를 넓히며 네 처소의 휘장을 아끼지 말고 널리 펴되 너의 줄을 길게 하며 너의 말뚝을 견고히 할지어다 이는 네가 좌우로 퍼지며 네 자손은 열방을 얻으며 황폐한 성읍들을 사람 살 곳이 되게 할 것임이라 두려워하지 말라 네가 수치를 당하지 아니하리라 놀라지 말라 네가 부끄러움을 보지 아니하리라 네가 네 젊었을 때의 수치를 잊겠고 과부 때의 치욕을 다시 기억함이 없으리니 이는 너를 지으신 이가 네 남편이시라 그의 이름은 만군의 여호와이시며 네 구속자는 이스라엘의 거룩한 이시라 그는 온 땅의 하나님이라 일컬음을 받으실 것이라.” – 이사야 54:1-5 이스라엘의 지난 2,000년 역사를 생각하고, 그 수세기에 걸친 유대인의 고생, 유대인들이 유럽의 도시 광장에서 고문당하고 화형당하고 일부만 살아남은 스페인과 포르투갈 종교재판을 돌아보고, 영국 요크와 프랑스 리용에서의 대학살과, 추방과, 동유럽 우크라이나와 러시아와 발틱 나라들에서의 포그롬과, 그 다음 나치 홀로코스트를 생각하며, 그 때 거의 2,800년 전에 전하고 기록된 이사야 선지자의 말을 읽어보면! 이 말씀들은 제 영혼에 약이며, 그것들은 모든 하나님을 경외하는 믿는 이와 메시아 예슈아의 제자에게 대단히 용기를 북돋우는 것이 될 것입니다. 이 세상에서 우리가 개인적으로, 나라적으로, 국제적으로 아무리 힘든 고난과 어려움을 겪는다고 할지라도, 그것은 큰 문제가 아닙니다. 하나님께서는 인간 역사 속에 그분께서 그분의 약속을 지키신다는 것을 입증하셨습니다. 만약 다른 증거가 없다면, 가장 큰 증거는 바로 예슈아 자신입니다. 그분의 태어남과 일생이 그분께서 나귀를 타고 예루살렘으로 입성하시기 수백 년 전에 예언되었습니다. 그분의 죽음과, 장사됨과, 십자가에 달리심과, 부활과, 승천과, 다시 오심이 모두 창조주께서 친히 세상의 구원을 위한 계획 속에 정해 놓으신 것입니다. 제가 토라에 있는 하나님의 약속들의 성취와, 이스라엘의 불순종 때문에 이스라엘에 일어날 나쁜 일들이 이루어지는 것과, 오늘날의 어려움들을 숙고하면서, 이사야, 예레미야, 에스겔, 아모스 및 모든 선지자들의 말을 읽을 때 저는 기쁨이 차올라 춤을 추고 싶어집니다. 저는 제 동료 인류와 창조주를 향한 믿음과 소망과 사랑이 충만해집니다. 이스라엘과 세상과 제 가족과 제 개인 건강에 아무리 나쁜 일이 있을지라도 주님께서 그분의 약속을 지키심에 신실하심을 알기에, 주님을 사랑하고 그분의 길에 그분과 동행하는 모든 사람에게 끝은 좋을 것입니다. 다른 모든 것은 그저 주님/창조주께서 우리로 하여금 지금과 영원히 더 나은 삶을 살게 하시려 우리에게 가르쳐주시고자 하시는 또 다른 가르침입니다. 여기에는 물론 코로나바이러스와 그것이 전 세계에 조장하는 모든 대파괴가 포함됩니다. 이것 역시 끝날 것이고, 우리는 이 끔찍한 질병이 결국에는 인류의 유익을 위해 있었음을 알게 될 것입니다.
아주 중요한 기도 부탁이 두 개 있습니다:
1. 40년 넘게 저희 회중의 신실한 일원이자 예루살렘에서 주님의 종이었던 아주 귀하고 신실하고 훌륭한 자매님, 95세이신 일라나 한히예르비 자매님이 우리의 기도가 필요합니다. 그녀의 지력은 명석하고 지난 며칠 전까지도 건강하고 기력도 강건했습니다. 그녀는 요 며칠 우리의 기도가 필요한데요, 이 귀한 자매님을 위해 기력과 하나님의 은혜를 구해 기도해 주십시오.
2. 필립 마크 리 형제님을 위한 기도입니다. 필립은 아내가 있는 젊은이인데, 4기 암으로 아픕니다. 필립은 진리를 찾는 사람으로 주님의 신실한 제자이며 종입니다. 여러분의 기도에 이 두 기도 제목을 포함시켜 주시기 바랍니다.
이 긴 목록에 있는 다른 이들을 위해서도 잊지 말고 계속 기도해 주십시오.
이스라엘은 제한적 이동이 허용된 채 아직 격리 중이며 대부분의 경제활동과 사업체들은 휴업 중인데요, 적어도 다음 일요일 자정까지는 그럴 것입니다. 경제가 피폐해졌습니다.
저는 지난 주 예루살렘 기도 목록에 여러분이 개인적으로 모르는 사람들을 위해 기도하는 것과, 세계가 회복되고 코로나바이러스라고 불리는 이 끔직한 팬데믹이 끝나도록 기도하는 것은 좋은 일이라고 썼습니다. 코로나는 왕관입니다. 저는 이 바이러스가 어느 왕의 머리의 왕관이 될지 모르겠습니다.
1. 전 세계를 위한 중보 기도를 계속해 주시고, 여러분 각자의 나라를 위한 기도에 집중해 주시되, 이스라엘도 잊지 마시기 바랍니다.
2. 다른 형제자매님들을 위해 기도하며 성령을 통해 메시아의 몸을 위해 중보하는 사람들에게는 하나님으로부터의 복이 있습니다.
3. 우리가 전 세계 형제자매님들을 위해 몇 분 동안 기도하는 것은 작은 일 같이 보일지 모르지만, 하나님 나라와 하늘에서는, 메시야 예슈아의 몸이 진짜 한 몸임을 확증하고 그에 맞춘 관심과 진심 어린 중보와 기도에 선한 권위자들의 주의가 기울여집니다.
a. 이전에, 그리고 현재 한국이스라엘성경연구소(키비) 사역에 참여했고 현재 참여하고 있는 모든 이들을 위해 기도해 주십시오.

e. 한국에서 여전히 이스라엘에 있는 메시아의 몸을 위해 기도하고 있는, 특별히 네티비야를 위해 기도하며 후원하고 있는 모든 이들의 영적, 육적 건강을 위해, 그들을 축복해 주시고 영감을 주시고 주님과 이스라엘을 위한 믿음과 소망과 사랑으로 충만케 해 주시도록 기도해 주십시오.
우리 영적 지도자들이 우리를 회개로, 죄와 허물을 고백하는 데로 이끌고 지적하여, 주님께서 이 코로나바이러스를 이 땅에서 거두시고 우리가 주님을 기억하며 그분의 의와 진리의 길로 걸어가게 하도록 우리 모두 기도하며 격려합시다.
제 건강과 제 눈을 위해 기도해 주셔서 감사합니다. 저는 수술 전보다 아주 훨씬 더 잘 보게 되었습니다. 저를 위해 기도해 주신 여러분 모두께 감사드립니다. 저와 제 아내 마르시아를 위해 계속 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 마르시아는 요즈음 기력이 별로 없고 하루 중 많은 시간을 잡니다. 그녀는 류마티스 관절염으로 인한 통증이 심하며 당뇨도 있어 역시 눈에 백내장이 있지만 수술을 하는 것은 위험합니다. 저희는 여러분의 기도가 필요합니다.

1. 크고 초월적인 기도의 띠로 여러분과 메시아의 몸을 하나로 만듭니다.
2. 하나님의 백성의 하나 됨을 보여줍니다.
3. 여러분의 기도는 물리적 세상과 개인적 이해관계의 영역을 넘어서는, 땅에 속한 것이 아닌 하늘에 속한, 진심의 띠로 관계를 맺은 사람들이 있다는 것을 보여줍니다.
4. 주님께서는 그분의 자녀를 아시며 그분의 약속대로 칭찬과 상급을 주십니다.

The Jerusalem Prayer List – October 22, 2020

This is the second week since we have restarted the reading of the Bible from Genesis. The reading this week, which is the second reading of the Bible, is Noah (Genesis 6:9-11:32).
This reading is the second most important reading of the whole Bible. Genesis 1:1-6:8 was read last week, and in my opinion it is the most foundational and important part of the whole Bible. In this next Shabbat’s reading Noah continues the downturn of the relationship between the Creator and His creatures, the humans. In these readings we learn more about the nature of man and even more importantly the nature of the Creator, the Lord of all! The reading from the prophets is from Isaiah 54:1-55:5, from the New Testament the reading is from Matthew 24:36-46, and 1 Peter 3:18-22. I would like to review a summary of the downfall of humanity from a different viewpoint: 1. God created the heavens and the earth. Everything that we see and feel and eat and adorn and build is based on what God did on those first seven days that started with God’s creation in six days and His resting on the seventh. 2. There was only one thing forbidden to Adam and Eve – to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eve and Adam preferred to ignore The Creator’s authority and to do the one thing that they were forbidden to do. The consequences of which still continue to beset our whole world, wherever humans exist. 3. The next story of the Bible is where a brother kills his own brother for “religious” reasons. 4. In those days, people lived long lives, hundreds of years. The earth was prosperous and the weather was perfect, there was no rain. Still the human race rejected the Creator and sinned beyond repair to the point that the Creator regretted that He had created man. 5. The only cure for the condition of the world was to delete and reset. To do this the Creator chose not to start over, but to preserve the human race by choosing Noah and his family to be the seed that would restore the human race to a proper relationship with the Lord. 6. The next thing you know is that even after the flood, in the land following the salvation of Noah’s family, sin still existed and Noah himself and his son sinned. The flood hadn’t changed human nature or man’s inclination to sin and to disobey the Creator’s program. 7. The next thing we hear is that all of humanity unites to depose the Creator from His authority and to seek independence from the authority of the Creator and establish their own authority. 8. At the end of this week’s reading the world is still in a sad state, divided beyond repair, estranged from the love of the Creator, and again the mercy and grace of the Lord provides one individual through whom salvation and restoration of relationships between the Creator and His creatures will be eventually accomplished, Abraham! Abraham our father. Next week we will be reading about Abraham, and how the Creator intended to use this man from Mesopotamia to be a blessing to all nations. Just look at this short outline and ask yourselves, my dear brothers and sisters the following question: Where in this scheme of Genesis would you find yourselves? My personal answer, is this, I would find myself in the Garden – probably as the Snake! I would find myself as a victim of religious aggression like Able, the brother of Cain. I would find myself a carpenter working with Noah, to build the Ark and complaining every day about my father Noah’s stupidity and the hopeless dreams that would never be fulfilled. I would find myself demonstrating with black and red flags for unity and raising funds to build the tower that would reach Heaven and provide humanity liberty and would be imagining a world without nations like John Lennon. I would find myself in the land of broken dreams after the fall of the Tower of Babel. Out of desperation I would pack my bag and get ready to roam the earth, depressed and dejected, hopeless and dreamless. On my way to the great nation of Egypt, the America of the ancient world, I would encounter a large caravan of many camels and donkeys, and a small army led by a wealthy old Iraqi chieftain and his barren old, very bossy wife Sarah, going down to Egypt. I would ask Eliezer the caravan leader if I could join them on the journey. He would say: “Young man, if you promise not to worship idols, you can join us!” The rest of the story you can put together for yourselves. The reading from the prophets this week is also full of wonderful and encouraging words of God. Let me just bring you a few of these words that I find as a source of strength: “‘Sing, O barren, You who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, You who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate Than the children of the married woman,’ says the Lord. ‘Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited. Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore. For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.’” – Isaiah 54:1-5 [NKJV] Thinking of the history of Israel in the last 2000 years, and remembering the suffering of the Jews through the centuries, the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition where Jews were tortured and burned, some alive, in the city squares of Europe. Thinking of the massacres of York, England, and Lion, France, and the expulsions, and pogroms in Eastern Europe, Ukraine, Russia, the Baltic countries, then the Nazi Holocaust. Then reading Isaiah the prophet’s words spoken and written nearly 2800 years ago! These words are medicine to my soul, and they ought to be a great encouragement to every God fearing believer and disciple of Yeshua the Messiah. No matter what hardships and difficulties we go through in this world, personal, national, international, it does not matter. God has proven in human history that He keeps His promises. If there is no other proof, the greatest proof is Yeshua Himself. His birth and life were prophesied hundreds of years earlier His entrance into Jerusalem on a donkey, his death, his burial, his crucifixion, resurrection, ascension to heaven, and His return, are all set in the program for the salvation of the world by the Creator Himself. As I consider the fulfillment of God’s promises in the Torah, the fulfillment of the bad things that would happen to Israel for their disobedience, and the challenges of today, I feel like getting and dancing for joy when I read the words of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Amos, and all the prophets. I am filled with faith, and hope and love, for both my fellowman and for the Creator. Knowing that no matter how bad things are for Israel, and for the world, and for my own family and personal health, the Lord is faithful to keep His promises. The end will be good for all those who love the Lord and who walk with Him on His path. Everything else is just another lesson that the Lord / the Creator is trying to teach us so that we can have a better life now and for eternity. This of course includes the coronavirus and all the havoc that it is creating throughout the world. This too will come to an end and we might discover that this horrible illness might turn out in the long run to have been for the good of mankind.
I have two very important prayer requests:
1. A very dear and faithful and wonderful sister that has been a faithful member of our congregation and a servant of the Lord in Jerusalem for over 40 years, Ilana Hanhiyervi who is 95 years old, is in need of our prayers. Her mind is sharp and she has been healthy and strong until these last few days. She needs our prayers these days, a prayer for strength and divine grace for this dear sister.
2. For brother Philip Marc Lee. Philip is a young man with a family and he is sick with stage 4 cancer. Philip is a truth seeker and a faithful disciple and servant of the Lord. Please especially include these two new prayer requests in your prayers.
Don’t forget to continue praying for the rest of those on this long list.
Israel is still under closure with only limited mobility being allowed and most of the economy and business sector is closed down, at least until next Sunday night at midnight. The economy is devastated.
I wrote last week in the Jerusalem Prayer List that it is a good work to pray for people whom you don’t know personally and to pray for the world to recover and bring an end to this horrible pandemic called Coronavirus. Corona is a crown and I am not sure on the head of which King this virus is a crown.
1. Please keep doing intercessory prayer for the whole world, concentrate for your country, and don’t forget Israel.
2. There is a blessing from God to those who pray for other brothers and sisters and intercede through the Holy Spirit for the Body of the Messiah.
3. It might seem like a small thing for us to pray a few minutes for brothers and sisters around the world, but in the Kingdom and in the Heavens attention is paid by the authorities of Goodness for the care and sincere intercession and prayer that conforms and confirms that the Body of the Messiah Yeshua is truly one body.
a. Pray for all the former and present people involved in Korean Israel Bible Instruction Ministry.
b. Pray for the former board members of KIBI and those who need to repent and restore their relationship receive power from heaven to do so.
c. Pray for those members and academics that are and were a part of the Israel Forum.
d. Pray for those who have prayed so faithfully for the salvation of Israel and the peace in Israel.
e. Pray for the spiritual and physical health of all those in Korea who are still praying for the Body of the Messiah in Israel and specifically praying and supporting Netivyah. Bless them and inspire them and fill them with faith, hope and love for the Lord and for Israel.
Let us all pray and encourage our spiritual leaders to lead and to point us toward repentance and to confession of our sins and weaknesses, so that the Lord will lift this coronavirus from off of this earth and we will remember the Lord and seek to walk in His paths of righteousness and truth.
I appreciate the prayers for my health and my eye. I see so much better with my eye than I did before the surgery. Thank you all of your prayers for me. Please continue to pray for me and for my wife Marcia. Marcia has very little energy these days and sleeps much most of the days. She is in pain from the Rheumatoid Arthritis and also her eyes have cataract and since she is diabetic there too there is a danger in doing surgery. We need your prayers.
Danah our daughter, needs much prayer for her situation and so does our granddaughter Noaam. Please lift Danah and Noaam in your prayers. Please lift Barry our son and his family, Beth, and Joey our grandson who are also staying at home and working from home during this time. Marcia’s mother June is 91 years old and her health is failing. Our sister from Jerusalem, Hadassah, had her surgery for cancer and is now at home recovering. Please keep her in your prayers.
Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Brazil. Brazil is one of the countries with a very high count of sick and dead people from the coronavirus. We have brothers and sisters all around Brazil, and I ask you to just say a prayer for divine protection and wisdom to keep clear from this deadly plague. Pray for healing and strength for a 70 year old men by the name of Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias. Also include in your prayers Caique de Oliveira Becker. These are people in Brazil that need the Lord’s special grace for healing. Please don’t forget to lift and pray for a young man Paulo and for the Amaral family in Brazil.
Please keep our dear brother Pastor TJ in Taiwan. TJ is going through a new phase in his life.
Keep Ruby Little in your prayers, our dear sister from Oklahoma City, who is also battling against cancer and add to your prayers Allison Howard Williams. Allison is the daughter of one of my very special teachers and friends, Dr. George Howard. Lift up in prayer the following brothers and sisters: Allison is also battling cancer.
Please keep praying for Samuel Lopes is a 17-year-old boy who is going through an extremely hard time. His father and mother are extremely upset that He is not walking with the Lord and I just heard from his father he has joined with friends who are far from the paths of righteousness. Please pray for the family of brother Joseph Kelber and especially for his son.
Pray for Rachael and Daniel, a brother and sister who need jobs and emotional healing.
Lift these brothers and sisters in your prayers: Angela Isby, Aries Franklin Mayers Sr., and Tony Black. Keep praying for Nancy, Don and their son Aaron Hook, Rachel David Kim’s wife – Jingyung Lee, Dr. Yuizawa, Tiz H., Lion H., Michael Schiffman, Joe Mays, Ilana Abramov, Cynthia Parveen’s sister, David Stern and his family, Anne West who is now 100 years old. Keep praying for Gary, and Melanie.
Remember the following brothers and sisters from the Roeh Israel Congregation in Jerusalem; Sarit, Gabriela, Ahuva, Leah, Ilana, Hannah, young Gabriela, Zvi D. and Bathsheba, Jonathan B. and his wife Aviva and their baby, and pray for Sister Yoko Nagumo in Japan. Sister Yoko had a stroke and we pray that her recovery will be quick and full.
From Chennai, India, please remember Pastor Isaac. From Hong Kong, remember all of Hong Kong during these days of several different kinds of viruses and the coronavirus. Remember Tony and Louisa Tam, and our brothers and sisters at the 611 Church, and the other churches who love God and love Israel in that great city.
Just a word of grace before the mercy seat of the Almighty will be heard in favor of these brothers and Um Mahmud Abu-Eid and Jimmy Abu-Eid and his family, Keijo and Salme our dear brothers in Finland, Tim Tucker, Satu-Maria, Sinni Tuuli. Our brother in Finland Erki Murto is gone. Erki passed from this world a few days ago. Please let us keep Sirpa, Erki’s widow in our prayer. May the Lord comfort her and consul her in these hours of sorrow and grief. Our other brothers and sisters in Finland who need our prayers, Evelina, and Eva H., Patty, Andrea, Julia and Victor, and Aaron Tani, and Hillel and his wife.
Around the whole world, we pray for Zhou Wenrian, Abe family, Toru, Takeo Sensei, Daisuke Sensei, Tomoko San, Yumi and her father Pastor Ohara, George, and Pastor Isaac in Chennai, India, Louisa, and Tony in Hong Kong.
I have just received a prayer request from a dear sister from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her father who is 70 years old and diabetic has contracted the COVID-19 virus. His name is Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias. He is in the hospital and his condition is very challenging. Please join us in lifting Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias in your prayers.
Please see your prayer as casting a vote for healing before the Lord and His angels in Heaven in favor of every brother and sister that you are praying for. Just a word of grace for all of us is a refreshing spirit. Take your prayers before the mercy seat of the Almighty to be heard in favor of those that you are lifting in prayer.
Please add to your prayers the family of Um Mahmud Abu-Eid and Jimmy their son. I believe that this is a good thing for us to pray for friends and acquaintances who are Muslims. It is an act of love and reconciliation to carry before the throne of mercy those dear people who are seeking peace and righteousness looking toward the Lord for mercy and healing.
Keep praying for Guilherme Antonio Nathan Becker and his wife Artuza de Oliviera, also add Rachael and Daniel Webster and Lizette Nancy, and Jose Carlos from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
By praying for people who are your brothers and sisters, and whom you do not know personally, you are exercising the right to be God’s ambassador in what is called “agape love.” “Agape love” is the highest form of love, a love that does not look for earthly rewards or give and take, but just does the service of intercession in the kingdom of God.
You will be blessed by the almighty God who gives each of His children good for the good we do and recompense for the bad we do. Your sincere prayers for people around the world do the following things for the Kingdom, the King, and for the body of the Messiah:
1. They unite you and the body in a major transcendent bond of prayer.
2. They demonstrate the oneness of the people of God.
3. Your prayer shows that there are people outside the realm of the physical world and personal interests who have a sincere bond and relationship that is heavenly and not earthly.
4. The Lord knows His children and gives credit and reward according to His promises.
We have brothers and sisters in Israel and in China and I ask you to pray for their safety and protection: Deborah Ruth, Lydia, Sima, Laurel S., Naomi, Orna, David S., Daniel, Dalia D., Ayla, Hillel, Elhanan, Tony, Dr. Song, and his wife Sister Harriet Kim, Michael Knezevich, Ismael Alves, Asher Gabriel, M. Ahuva. Please pray for a dear brother who is well into his 90’s and lost his wife a couple of weeks ago. His name is Dov H. Please keep a dear sister who attends our congregation in Jerusalem. Her name is Hadassah and she just had cancer surgery. Pray for Hadassah for a full recovery and remission from cancer in her body.
Pray for Israel. We are going through terrible riots and violence in the streets of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv and other places around the country. These riots are motivated by the fact that much of the populace of Israel does not understand what the government is doing in relationship to the coronavirus pandemic.
Businesses are closing and bankruptcy is happening to old established companies and businesses and even our national airline is on the verge of bankruptcy. People do not have money to put food on their tables. The number of people in need of basic food is growing.
Netivyah has been feeding the poor of Jerusalem for more than 25 years and we have a highly appreciated humanitarian ministry that is working with the Jerusalem municipality. As the demands for food for people who never before needed such help grows, I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to go to the webpage: www.netivyah.org and do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.
Our prime minister’s case is still before the courts. I am not happy that this is happening in Israel, but I am praying that true justice and righteousness is exhibited in our court system. The truth must come out and I am not interested in a second prime minister of Israel going to jail. We have had a president in jail, a finance minister in jail, a minister of interior affairs in jail, and a member of the parliament in jail. Enough!

I was asked by brothers and sisters of the Messianic congregation, Shoresh David (The Root of David) in Portland, Oregon, to pray for Portland. Anarchist elements have taken the center of Portland, OR, and turned it into chaos, and disorder. So, please pray for Portland, OR, and for our brothers and sisters in that city.
The coronavirus is threatening the economy of the world with a great recession and depression. Some of our major supporters have already lowered the amount of their support. They have done this not only toward Netivyah, but for all the ministries that they are supporting, and they are many. I would like to first ask you to pray about your part in supporting Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.
Second, I would like for you who stand with us in prayer and financially to do your absolute best to stay on board with us and communicate. We realize that times will be hard for several years, but we also realize that God has chosen and blessed you for such a time as this.
Third please pray for a new project that we are starting in Israel in partnership with the Houses for Healing ministry from Abilene, Texas.
The aim is to provide hospitality for families of critically ill patients who are hospitalized in one of Jerusalem’s hospitals and who have no means to stay in hotels while their family members are in the hospitals.
This is a critical need especially in these days when there are hundreds of men and women who are in the Coronavirus ICU units for weeks and even months.
We need your prayer and your help to make this a meaningful and significant blessing both to the sick and to their families.
I wish all of you, who stand with Israel and who pray for Jerusalem, the best of the Lord’s blessings and the fulfillment of all His promises to His faithful children. Those who hear God and do His will are the ones who are called wise! Those who only hear His word and don’t do it are called foolish! Let us all strive to be wise and never foolish! The best is yet to come!
