이번 안식일에 읽는 토라 포션은 아마도 모든 토라 포션 중 가장 중요한 것일 것입니다! 우리는 창세기부터 토라 포션을 다시 시작합니다. 창세기는 성경 중에서 가장 중요한 부분입니다.
여러분은 “죠, 당신은 왜 창세기 첫 몇 장이 성경 전체에서 가장 중요한 장들이라고 말하는 거죠?” 말씀하실지 모르겠습니다. 이유는 간단합니다. 우리가 아는 모든 것과 우주라고 부르는 끝없이 뻗은 광활한 공간에 둥둥 떠 있는 이 구(球) 안에 있는 모든 것은 창세기에 근거하고 있습니다. 지금, 지난 몇 년 동안 미국과 유럽에 있는 기독교 대학교에 가장 어지럽히는 것 중 하나는 성경학과들과 성경 교수들이 진리인 창세기 이야기의 진실성에 그림자를 드리우고 있다는 것입니다. 이것은 저를 아주 슬프게 만듭니다! 이것이 저를 아주 슬프게 만드는 이유는 제가, 훌륭하고 좋은 이 사람들이 서구권 최고의 대학교들에서 무엇을 공부했는지 알기 때문입니다! 저는 1960년대 초와 1970년대와 1980년대에 예루살렘에 있는 히브리대학교에서 공부했습니다. 그 시절 적어도 유대사회에서 최고의 유대인 성경학자들 중 몇 분이 제 은사님들입니다. 저는 제 은사님들 중에서 그 누구도 창조 이야기와 홍수 이야기의 진짜 역사적 근거 혹은 역사에 준하는 근거를 의심하셨던 분을 기억하지 못합니다. “미개한 서구”의 일부 학자들이 창세기 이야기를 의심하는 이유는 아브라함과 모세 시대 이전에 메소포타미아 창조“신화”가 몇 개 있기 때문입니다. 그 주장은 창세기 저자(들)가 더 오래된 메소포타미아 창조“신화”의 영향을 많이 받았다는 것입니다. 예루살렘 히브리대학교의 제 은사님들이 정반대의 주장을 증명하기 위해 똑같은 논거를 사용하셨던 것은 흥미롭습니다. 다음의 것들이 존재하기 때문에: ∙ 에뉴마 엘리스 바벨론 창조신화, 고고학자 오스틴 헨리 라야드가 1849년 니느베(터키-이란-이라크에 걸친 고원지대, 모술) 아수르바니팔 서고 유적에서 발견됨.

∘ 밤이 태어났다 칼레발라는 지구(땅)의 창조에 대한 이야기를 말하고 있으며, 칼레발라와 포졸라의 영웅들의 전쟁과 항해를 묘사한 핀란드 구전민요와 신화를 편집한 19세기 핀란드 서사시입니다. 첫 번째 배이내뫼이넨 싸이클 1–2절, 시는 노래를 부르는 이들이 도입부를 부르는 것으로 시작됩니다. 지구는 흰뺨오리 알 껍질로 만들어졌고, 최초의 사람 배이내뫼이넨이 일마타르 여신에게 태어납니다. 배이내뫼이넨은 황량한 세상에 나무들과 생명을 가져옵니다. 3–5절, 배이내뫼이넨은 질투가 많은 주카하이넨을 만나 노래 경연을 합니다. 주카하이넨이 지고 그의 생명 대신 그의 여동생의 손을 주기로 맹세합니다. 그 여동생 아이노는 곧바로 스스로 바다에 빠져 죽습니다. 6–10절, 배이내뫼이넨은 북쪽 나라의 한 처녀에게 청혼하러 포졸라로 향하는데, 그 처녀는 북쪽 나라 루히의 여지배자의 딸입니다. 주카하이넨이 다시 배이내뫼이넨을 공격하고, 배이내뫼이넨은 여러 날 동안 바다에 표류한 끝에, 독수리가 그를 포졸라까지 날라다줍니다. 그는 대장장이 일마리넨으로 하여금 삼포를 만들어주게 하기로 루히와 협상을 합니다. 일마리넨이 포졸라로 가기를 거부하자 배이내뫼이넨은 그의 뜻에 반하여 강제로 시킵니다. 삼포가 주조됩니다. 일마리넨은 신부 없이 되돌아갑니다. 저는 북미 인디언들과 남미 인디언들과 인도와 아프리카와 고대 이집트 등등의 창조신화를 열두어 개 더 가져올 수 있을 것입니다. 이들 신화 모두에 흥미로운 것은 그것들 모두 공통 요소가 좀 있다는 것입니다. 1. 지구가 (땅이) 지어졌다.
2. 자연이 지어졌다.
3. 사람(남자)이 지어졌다.
4. 남자가 여자 동반자를 찾는다.
5. 땅과 바다 사이에, 땅과 물 사이에 전쟁이 있다. 연관성과 요소들은 다양합니다, 누가 이 지구를 지었는지도 여러 신들에서부터 두 신에 이르기까지 다릅니다. 두 신의 경우는 서로 전쟁을 하지만 결국 한 신이 이깁니다. 이렇게 다양한 창조설화들은 뭘 증명하는 것이겠습니까! 지구가 존재하지 않았다는 것을 증명합니까? 지구가 신화라는 것을 증명합니까? 지구가 그냥 생긴 우주의 우연한 사고라는 것을 증명합니까? 이 지구와 우주의 모든 면을 지으시고 계획하시고 솜씨 있게 만든 하나님이 없다는 것을 증명합니까? 아닙니다! 태평양의 섬들에서부터 핀란드 이북 동토의 북극, 뉴질랜드의 마오리 문화에 이르기까지 온 지구를 아울러 창조 이야기가 많다는 사실은 다음과 같은 점들을 증명할 뿐입니다: 1. 사람은 자기들이 우주의 우연한 사고가 아니라는 것을 알아야 하고 확신해야 합니다. 사람이 존재하게 된 것은, 사람이 모든 포유류와 공통적으로 가지고 있는 기본적 동물적 본능을 훨씬 뛰어넘는, 이유와 목적이 있는, 계획되고 준비된 사건이라는 것입니다. 이것은 아주 중요한 점입니다. 모든 포유류는 본성적으로 많은 부분이 공통됩니다. 1) 우리 사람은 사자, 호랑이, 개, 쥐, 코끼리, 심지어 바다의 돌고래 같은 포유류들과 함께 우리 모두를 디자인하신 동일한 작가의 지문을 공유하고 있습니다. 2) 우리 사람은 각자의 피부색과 머리카락 종류가 다르기는 해도, 모두 다 역량과, 상상력과, 새로운 것들과 미술과 음악과 지금은 심지어 인공지능까지 상상하고 고안하고 생산해내고 만들어내는 능력이 있습니다. 3) 우리 사람에게는 역사의 여명기부터 우리 생명이 우리의 죽음과 함께 끝나지 않는 믿음과 지식이 있습니다. 이것은 아주 중요한 점입니다. 초기 고고학적 발견은 역사의 여명기부터 그들의 죽은 자들을 매장한 사람들이 사후 세계를 믿었다는 것을 보여줍니다. 그들은 자기 집처럼 생긴 납골당에 자기들의 죽은 자들을 매장했습니다. 그들은 매장된 자와 함께 식료품을 두었고, 그 죽은 사람의 시체 옆에 그의 무기 등을 놓아두었습니다. 4) 신적 능력으로 여겨지는 것, 혹은 “초자연적”인 것으로 여겨지는 것을 숭배하는 것은 불을 발명한 것만큼이나 일찍이 시작되었습니다. 저는 이 이슈에 대해 계속 할 수 있을 테지만, 지금은 결론을 내릴 시간입니다: 1. 성경은 진리이며, 이 세상은 지적 창조자의 지적 창조물이라는 주장을 반영하는 어떤 논리나 이성이나 증거의 검사도 견딥니다. 2. 이 세계는 수백만 년 되었다는 어림짐작은 성경 이야기를 무효로 만들지 못합니다. 성경의 서술은 우리에게 이 세계의 나이를 알려주거나 그런 시도가 아닙니다. 일부 기독교인들과 일부 유대인들이 이 세계의 나이에 대해 믿는 것은 순전히 인간의 추정 및 쓸데없는 추산입니다. 하나님의 말씀이 분명히 이 세계의 시작 날짜를 말했다면, 저는 그것을 아무 의문 없이 받아들였을 것입니다. 그러나 그것은 날짜를 말하지 않고 단지 창조주와 그분의 아들이 천지 창조 때 따른 절차만 말하고 있기 때문에, 저는 우리 인간이 “지구”라고 부르는 우리가 살고 있는 이 별의 나이에 대해서는 아무런 논거가 없습니다. 3. 이 지구의 한 분 아버지이자 창조주께서 그분의 피조물을 너무 사랑하셔서 그분의 아들, 온 인류의 아버지의 독생자를 이 세계의 구속자와 구원자로 보내셨고, 그의 죽음으로 말미암아 우리에게 영원한 생명을 남겨주셨습니다. 저는 이 논의를 나중에 기회가 될 때 계속해야 할 것입니다. 그러나 지금은 우리 모두 우리 지구의 시작과 우리와 자신의 모든 피조물을 사랑하시는 우리 하나님을 기념하며 축하하고 마지막에 대비하도록 합시다. 시작이 있는 모든 것은 끝도 있다는 것은 자명한 진리이기 때문입니다. 우리가 이 지구가 존재하지 않던 때가 있었으며 시작이 있다는 것을 믿기에, 우리는 지나가는 날마다 우리 우주의 끝에 다가가고 있습니다. 이것이 성경 전체의 이야기입니다 – 이것은 시작이 있고 끝이 있습니다. 모든 것은 사전에 계획되고 완성되었습니다. 우리 모두는 최선을 바라며 최악에 대비합니다! 내일 영생의 열매를 물려받도록 오늘 생명의 씨를 뿌리십시오.
이스라엘은 적어도 오는 일요일 자정까지는 제한적 이동이 허용된 채 아직 격리 중이며 대부분의 경제활동과 기성 사업들은 폐업 중입니다. 경제가 피폐해졌습니다. 전국적으로 정부와 수상에 대한 시위가 있습니다. 코로나바이러스로 인한 사망자수가 1,000명이 훨씬 넘습니다.
인구대비로 볼 때 이스라엘은 최악의 코로나바이러스 타격을 입은 나라 중 하나입니다. 코로나바이러스 1차 창궐 때 저희는 가장 방역을 잘한 나라 중 하나였는데, 지금은 몇 가지 잘 알려진 이유로, 그리고 다양한 인구 구성으로 인해 최악이 되었습니다.
주님께서 말씀하신 대로, 처음된 자가 나중될 것입니다. 지금 저는 하나님의 이 패러다임의 후반부, 나중된 자가 처음될 것을 기다리며 기도하고 있습니다.
저는 지난 주 예루살렘 기도 목록에 여러분이 개인적으로 모르는 사람들을 위해 기도하는 것과, 세계가 회복되고 코로나바이러스라고 불리는 이 끔직한 팬데믹이 끝나도록 기도하는 것은 좋은 일이라고 썼습니다.
코로나는 왕관입니다. 저는 어느 왕의 머리에 이 바이러스가 가서 앉을지 모르겠습니다.
1. 전 세계를 위한 중보 기도를 계속해 주시고, 여러분 각자의 나라를 위한 기도에 집중해 주시되, 이스라엘도 잊지 마시기 바랍니다.
2. 다른 형제자매님들을 위해 기도하며 성령을 통해 메시아의 몸을 위해 중보하는 사람들에게는 하나님으로부터의 복이 있습니다.
3. 우리가 전 세계 형제자매님들을 위해 몇 분 동안 기도하는 것은 작은 일 같이 보일지 모르지만, 하나님 나라와 하늘에서는, 메시야 예슈아의 몸이 진짜 한 몸임을 확증하고 그에 맞춘 관심과 진심 어린 중보와 기도에 선한 권위자들의 주의가 기울여집니다.
1) 이전에, 그리고 현재 한국이스라엘성경연구소(키비) 사역에 참여했고 현재 참여하고 있는 모든 이들을 위해 기도해 주십시오.

5) 한국에서 여전히 이스라엘에 있는 메시아의 몸을 위해 기도하고 있는, 특별히 네티비야를 위해 기도하며 후원하고 있는 모든 이들의 영적, 육적 건강을 위해, 그들을 축복해 주시고 영감을 주시고 주님과 이스라엘을 위한 믿음과 소망과 사랑으로 충만케 해 주시도록 기도해 주십시오.
우리 영적 지도자들이 우리를 회개로, 죄와 허물을 고백하는 데로 이끌고 지적하여, 주님께서 이 코로나바이러스를 이 땅에서 거두시고 우리가 주님을 기억하며 그분의 의와 진리의 길로 걸어가게 하도록 우리 모두 기도하며 격려합시다.
이번 주 초에 저를 위해 기도해 주신 여러분 모두께 감사드립니다. 저는 볼 수 있는 유일한 제 오른쪽 눈에 백내장 수술을 받았습니다. 아주 잠깐 저는 제 오른쪽 눈에 안대를 하고 있었는데요, 그 잠깐 동안 저는 완전 소경이었다는 뜻입니다. 저는 주님의 신실한 한 종을 통해 받은 아주 멋진 도움에 감사하고 있습니다. 주님께 찬양 드립니다. 백내장 수술이 성공적이었고, 지금은 제가 지난 몇 년 동안보다 더 잘, 더 많이 볼 수 있습니다.

The Jerusalem Prayer List – October 15, 2020

The reading this Shabbat is probably the most important Torah reading of all! We will be restarting the Torah portions from Genesis. Genesis is the most important part of the Bible.
You might say, “Joe, why are you saying that the first chapters of Genesis are the most important chapters of the whole, Bible? The reason is simple: Everything that we know and everything that we have in this ball floating in the vast expanse of endless space called the Universe – is based on Genesis. Now, in the last few years one of the most disturbing things about Christian Universities in the USA and in Europe is that Bible departments and Bible professors are casting a shadow on the veracity of the account of Genesis as truth. It makes me very sad! The reason that it makes me very sad is that I know what these wonderful and good men have studied in the best universities in the West! I studied at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in the early 1960’s and in the 1970’s and in the 1980’s. In those years some of the top Jewish Bible scholars at least in the Jewish world, were my teachers and I don’t remember any of my teachers as doubting the stories of the creation and the story of the flood having true historical or para-historical roots. The reason why some of the scholars in the “wild West” doubt the story of Genesis is because there are several Mesopotamian “myths” of creation that pre-date Abraham and Moses. The claim is that the writer (writers) of Genesis was deeply influenced by those older Mesopotamian myths of creation. It is interesting that my teachers at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem used this same argument to prove the exact opposite. Because of the existence of: ∙ Enûma Eliš the Babylonian creation myth, discovered by the archaeologist Austen Henry Layard in 1849 in the ruins of the Ashurbanipal library at Nineveh (Mosul, Kurdistan). ∙ The Sumerian creation myth, called The Eridu Genesis by historian Thorkild Jacobsen, is found on a single fragmentary tablet excavated in Nippur by the Expedition of the University of Pennsylvania in 1893. The date of this Sumerian myth is estimated to date to around the 17th century BC. The first part of the story is lost, but the flood story is there with many connections with the Genesis flood story. ∙ The Ancient Korean shamanic creation narrative. With the following order of creation: ∘ Splitting of heaven and earth
∘ Giant creator
∘ Nature of the early universe
∘ Flower contest and the root of evil
∘ Doubled sun and moon ∙ Kumulipo. The Hawaiian creation myth in the form of chants, and poetry. First discovered by western scholars in the 18th Century. Please note the connecting points with both the Babylonian and the Sumerian and the Genesis account:
∘ At the time that turned the heat of the earth,
∘ At the time when the heavens turned and changed,
∘ At the time when the light of the sun was subdued
∘ To cause light to break forth,
∘ At the time of the night of Makaliʻi (winter)
∘ Then began the slime which established the earth,
∘ The source of deepest darkness, of the depth of darkness,
∘ The source of night, of the depth of night
∘ Of the depth of darkness,
∘ Of the darkness of the sun in the depth of night,
∘ Night is come,
∘ Born is Night Kalevala is a 19th-century Finnish epic poem compiled from Finnish oral folklore and mythology, telling the story about the creation of the Earth, describing the wars and the voyages of the heroes from Kalevala and Pohjola. First Väinämöinen Cycle Verse 1–2, The poem begins with an introduction by the singers. The Earth is created from the shards of the egg of a goldeneye and the first man Väinämöinen is born to the goddess Ilmatar. Väinämöinen brings trees and life to the barren world. Verse 3–5, Väinämöinen encounters the jealous Joukahainen and they engage in a battle of song. Joukahainen loses and pledges his sister's hand in return for his life; the sister Aino soon drowns herself in the sea. Verse 6–10: Väinämöinen heads to Pohjola to propose to a maiden of the north, a daughter of the mistress of the north, Louhi. Joukahainen attacks Väinämöinen again, and Väinämöinen floats for days on the sea until he is carried by an eagle to Pohjola. He makes a deal with Louhi to get Ilmarinen the smith to create the Sampo. Ilmarinen refuses to go to Pohjola so Väinämöinen forces him against his will. The Sampo is forged. Ilmarinen returns without a bride. I could bring at least another dozen creation myths from the North American Indians, and the South American Indians and from India and Africa and ancient Egypt… The interesting thing about all these myths is that they all have some common elements. 1. The Earth was created.
2. Nature was created.
3. Man was created.
4. Man looks for a woman companion.
5. There is war between the land and the ocean, between earth and water. The connections and elements vary, who created this earth differs, from many gods to two gods that war with each other, but one wins in the end. What does this variety of creation stories prove! Does it prove that the Earth doesn’t exist? Does it prove that the Earth is a myth? Does it prove that the Earth is a cosmic accident that just happened to happen? Does it prove that there is no God who created and planned and engineered every aspect of this Earth and the Universe? No! The multiplicity of creation stories that span the whole earth, from the islands in the Pacific Ocean to the frozen North Pole above Finland, and the Maori culture of New Zealand, only proves the following points: 1. Humans need to know and be reassured that they are not a cosmic accident. That human existence is a planned and organized event that has reason and purpose far above our basic animal nature that we hold in common with all mammals. This is a very important point. All mammals have most of their nature in common. 1) We human beings, along with lions, tigers, dogs, rats, elephants, and even the dolphins in the ocean, who are mammals, share the fingerprints of the same artist that designed us all. 2) We human beings, although different in the color of our skin and the kind of hair we have, all have the same capacity and imaginative faculty, the ability to imagine and invent and produce and fabricate new elements, art, music, and now even AI. 3) We as humans have from the dawn of history the faith and knowledge that our lives don’t end with our death. This is a very important point. The earliest archaeological finds from the dawn of history indicate that those who buried their dead, believed in an afterlife. They buried their dead in ossuaries shaped like their homes. They placed articles of food with their burials, they laid down the weapons of the dead next to their dead bodies etc. 4) Worship of what was considered divine powers or what was considered “super-natural” was as early as the invention of fire. I could go on and on, on this issue, but it is time to draw conclusions: 1. The Bible is true and it will stand any scrutiny of logic and reason and evidence to prove that it reflects the assertion that this world is an intelligent creation of an intelligent creator. 2. The idea that this world is millions of years old does not negate the biblical story. The biblical narrative does not give or attempt to inform us of the age of this world. What some Christians and some Jews believe about the age of this world is pure human assumption, and vain calculation. If the word of God clearly stated the date for the beginning of this world, I would embrace it fully without question, but since it does not state a date only a process that the Creator and His Son followed in the creation of Heaven and Earth, I have no argument regarding the age of this star that we live on called by we humans “Earth.” 3. The one father and creator of this Earth so loved His creation that He sent His Son, the only begotten by the Father of all mankind, as redeemer and savior of the world, and by His death He bequeathed us life eternal. I will have to continue this discussion at a later occasion, but for now let us all celebrate the beginning of our planet and our God who loves us and all His creation, and prepare for the end. Because it is an axiomatic truth that everything that has a beginning also has an end. Since we believe that there was a time when this Earth didn’t exist and that it has a beginning, we also must believe that with every day that passes we are approaching the end of our universe. This is the story of the whole Bible – it has a beginning and it has an end. Everything is pre-planned and complete – We all hope for the best and prepare for the worst! Spread the seed of life today so that you might inherit the fruit of an eternal life tomorrow.
Israel is still under closure with limited mobility and most of the economy and business establishment is closed down, at least until next Sunday night at midnight. The economy is devastated. There are demonstrations all over the country against the government and against our prime minister. The number of dead from the coronavirus has exceeded well over one thousand.
Per capital, Israel is one of the worst hit coronavirus countries. In the first wave of the coronavirus we were one of the best countries, now for some well-known reasons, and due to the diversity of the population, we have become the worst.
As the Lord said: The first shall be last. Now we are waiting and praying for the continuation of this divine paradigm - for the last to become first again.
I wrote last week in the Jerusalem Prayer List that it is a good thing to pray for people whom you don’t know personally, and to pray for the world to recover and bring an end to this horrible pandemic called coronavirus.
Corona is a crown and I am not sure on the head of which King this virus is sitting.
1. Please keep doing intercessory prayer for the whole world, concentrate on prayer for your country, but don’t forget Israel.
2. There is a blessing from God to those who pray for other brothers and sisters and who intercede through the Holy Spirit for the body of the Messiah.
3. It might seem like a small thing for us to pray a few minutes for brothers and sisters around the world, but in the kingdom and in the heavens, attention is paid by the authorities of goodness for the care and sincere intercession and prayer that conforms and confirms that the body of the Messiah, Yeshua, is truly one body.
1) Pray for all the former and present people involved in the Korean Israel Bible Instruction Ministry;
2) Pray for the former board members of KIBI and that those who need to repent and to restore their relationship with Netivyah, receive power from heaven to do so.
3) Pray for those members and academics that are and were a part of the Israel Forum.
4) Pray for those who have prayed so faithfully for the salvation of Israel and for peace in Israel.
5) Pray for the spiritual and physical health of all those in Korea who are still praying for the body of the Messiah in Israel and specifically praying and supporting Netivyah. Bless them and inspire them and fill them with faith, hope and love for the Lord and for Israel.
Let us all pray and encourage our spiritual leaders to lead and to point us toward repentance and to confession of our sins and weaknesses, so that the Lord will lift this coronavirus from off of this Earth and we will remember the Lord and seek to walk in His paths of righteousness and truth.
I thank you all for praying for me this last week. I had the cataract surgery on my right eye, the only eye that I see with. For a very short time I was with a patch on my right eye which means that for a short time, I was totally blind. I appreciate the wonderful help that was given to me by a faithful servant of the Lord. Praise the Lord the cataract surgery was successful and now I see better and more than I have seen for the last several years.
Please keep praying for Marcia’s health, her memory, diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis. Danah our daughter, needs much prayer for her situation and so does our granddaughter Noaam. Please lift Danah and Noaam in your prayers. Please lift Barry our son and his family, Beth, and Joey our grandson who are also staying at home and working from home during this time. Marcia’s mother June is 91 years old and her health is failing.
Another sister from Jerusalem, Hadassah, has recently had surgery that is more serious, and I ask you all to pray for Hadassah. Pray for a successful surgery and total healing and recovery for Hadassah, our dear sister.
Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Brazil. Brazil is one of the countries with a very high count of sick and dead people from the coronavirus.
We have brothers and sisters all around Brazil, and I ask you to just say a prayer for divine protection and wisdom to keep them free from this deadly plague. Pray for healing and strength for a 70 year old man by the name of Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias. Also include in your prayers Caique de Oliveira Becker. These are people in Brazil that need the Lord’s special grace for healing.
Please keep in your prayers our dear brother Pastor TJ in Taiwan. TJ is going through a new phase in his life. He lost his dear wife Angela to cancer. Sister Angela was a spiritual anchor for TJ and the community. We pray for our dear brother and for the community in Taiwan. Sister Angela was a true anchor for Israel and the Israeli body of the Messiah in Taiwan. We in Israel miss her and her deep prayer and support for Netivyah and other ministries in Israel.
Keep Ruby Little in your prayers, our dear sister from Oklahoma City, who is also battling against cancer and add to your prayers Allison Howard Williams. Allison is the daughter of one of my very special teachers and friends, Dr. George Howard. Allison is also battling cancer.

Please keep praying for Samuel Lopes, a 17-year-old boy who is going through an extremely hard time. His father and mother are extremely upset that he is not walking with the Lord and I heard from his father he has joined with friends who are far from the paths of righteousness. Pray for Rachael and Daniel, a brother and sister who need jobs and emotional healing.

Please see your prayer as casting a vote for healing before the Lord and His angels in Heaven in favor of every brother and sister that you are praying for. By praying for people who are your brothers and sisters, and whom you do not know personally, you are exercising the right to be God’s ambassador in what is called “agape love.” “Agape love” is the highest form of love, a love that does not look for earthly rewards or give and take, but just does the service of intercession in the kingdom of God.
You will be blessed by the almighty God who gives each of His children good for the good we do and recompense for the bad we do. Your sincere prayers for people around the world do the following things for the kingdom, the king, and for the body of the Messiah:
1. They unite you and the body in a major transcendent bond of prayer.
2. They demonstrate the oneness of the people of God.
3. Your prayer shows that there are people outside the realm of the physical world and personal interests who have a sincere bond and relationship that is heavenly and not earthly.
4. The Lord knows His children and gives credit and reward according to His promises.

Pray for Israel. We are going through terrible riots and violence in the streets of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv and other places around the country. These riots are motivated by the fact that much of the populace of Israel does not understand what the government is doing in relation to the coronavirus pandemic.
Businesses are closing and bankruptcy is happening to old established companies and businesses and even our national airline is on the verge of bankruptcy. People do not have money to put food on their tables. The number of people in need of basic food is growing.
Netivyah has been feeding the poor of Jerusalem for more than 25 years and we have a highly appreciated humanitarian ministry that is working with the Jerusalem municipality. As the demands for food for people who never before needed such help grows, I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to go to the webpage: www.netivyah.org and do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.
Our prime minister’s case is still before the courts. I am not happy that this is happening in Israel, but I am praying that true justice and righteousness is exhibited in our court system. The truth must come out and I am not interested in a second prime minister of Israel going to jail. We have had a president in jail, a finance minister in jail, a minister of interior affairs in jail, and a member of the parliament in jail. Enough!

Second, I would like for you who stand with us in prayer and financially to do your absolute best to stay on board with us and communicate. We realize that times will be hard for several years, but we also realize that God has chosen and blessed you for such a time as this.
Third please pray for a new project that we are starting in Israel in partnership with the Houses for Healing ministry from Abilene, Texas.
The aim is to provide hospitality for families of critically ill patients who are hospitalized in one of Jerusalem’s hospitals and who have no means to stay in hotels while their family members are in the hospitals.
This is a critical need especially in these days when there are hundreds of men and women who are in the Coronavirus ICU units for weeks and even months.
We need your prayer and your help to make this a meaningful and significant blessing both to the sick and to their families.
I wish all of you, who stand with Israel and who pray for Jerusalem, the best of the Lord’s blessings and the fulfillment of all His promises to His faithful children. Those who hear God and do His will are the ones who are called wise! Those who only hear His word and don’t do it are called foolish! Let us all strive to be wise and never foolish! The best is yet to come!
