저는 1980년대에 일본에서 오사카 대학의 저명한 교수님들과 함께 400년에서 500년 전 일본어로 쓴 것으로 추정되는 고대 편지들이 전시된 박물관에 갔었는데, 존경받는 교수님들께서는 그 오래된 일본어 문서를 읽을 수는 있었지만, 무슨 내용인지 이해하기는 쉽지 않아 하셨습니다. 그런데 여기, 전 세계에 흩어져 사는 소수 민족 유대인들은 아메리카 대륙이나 호주를 발견한 때보다 수천 년도 더 오래된 히브리어 문서를 계속해서 읽고 있습니다. 오늘날 세계에는 전 세계 유대인 총수보다 더 많은 인구를 가진 도시들이 있습니다. 일본 도쿄(약 3,700만 명), 인도 뉴델리(약 3,400만 명), 중국 상하이(약 3,050만 명), 방글라데시 다카(약 2,450만 명), 이집트 카이로(약 2,350만 명), 브라질 상파울루(약 2,280만 명), 멕시코시티, 베이징, 뭄바이, 일본 오사카, 충칭(약 1,850만 명) 등이 있습니다. (충칭이 어디에 있는지조차 모르겠습니다만 … 인구가 2천만 명이 넘는 도시 목록은 계속 이어질 수 있습니다. 전 세계 유대인 총수는 약 2천만 명 미만으로 추산됩니다.)

오는 이번 안식일에 전 세계 모든 회당에서 읽을 토라 및 선지서 포션은 주전 12세기에서 14세기 사이 파라오 시대에 이집트 왕자로 고대 이집트 신전에서 자란 모세가 쓴 것으로 알려진 모세오경의 필사본에서 발췌한 것으로, 모든 성경을 하나님의 거룩한 말씀으로 여기는 수많은 유대인과 기독교인들에게 여전히 영향을 미치고 있습니다. 심지어 오늘날 이슬람교조차도 히브리 성경의 영향을 받고 있는데, 토라의 내용이 순서가 뒤바뀌고 조작된 히브리 성경이 쿠란에 포함되어 있습니다.

긴 서론을 마치고 이제 첫 번째 요점을 말씀드리겠습니다. 이 고대 문서들은 지구라는 푸른 행성에서 사용되고, 쓰고, 읽는 거의 모든 언어로 번역되었으며, 여전히 강력한 힘을 지니고 있습니다. 신약성경에서는 예슈아의 제자들 중 비-유대인들에게 매 안식일에 이 말씀들을 읽거나 지역 회당에 가서 낭독을 듣도록 명령했습니다. 사도행전 15:19-21에 나오는 사도들의 이 명령을 직접 인용해 보겠습니다.

토라에서 읽는 부분은 신명기 11:26-16:17입니다. 이 토라 포션의 첫 단어 역시 저희의 오랜 전통대로 토라 포션의 이름이 됩니다. 이번 안식일 토라 포션의 경우 그 첫 히브리 단어는 “르에”입니다. 이 히브리 단어는 다음과 같이 번역됩니다:

이번 토라 포션의 첫 단어는 “르에”입니다! 이 히브리 단어는 번역하면 “보라!”입니다. 혹은 ‘위를 보라!’가 될 수도 있습니다. 뒤따르는 본문은 매우 의미 깊습니다. 하나님께서는 모세와 이스라엘 자손에게 삶에는 두 부분, 긍정적인 부분과 부정적인 부분이 있다고 말씀하고 계십니다. 사실, 원자 하나에도 두 부분, 양전하와 음전하가 있습니다. 모든 것에는 양면이 있다고 할 수 있습니다. 동전이 흙으로 만들어졌든 순금으로 만들어졌든, 양면이 있습니다. 하지만 삶과 생존, 인간성과 인간관계에 관한 문제에서는 이러한 자명한 진리가 종종 잊히고 무시됩니다. 하나님께서는 모세에게, 그리고 모세와 토라를 통해 성경을 읽고 진지하게 받아들이는 우리 모두에게 이 사실을 분명히 하셨습니다. 삶의 거의 모든 것이 축복이 될 수도 있고 저주가 될 수도 있다는 것입니다. 신명기 11:26-16:17의 토라 포션에서 하나님께서는 모세를 통해 이 원칙을 최대한 명확하게 설명하십니다! 결혼과 가족 같이 인생에서 가장 놀라운 일 중 어떤 것들은 가족과 자녀에게 놀라운 축복과 기쁨이 될 수 있으며, 사랑하는 가족과 함께하는 멋진 삶, 자녀와의 따뜻함과 성장의 거룩한 결합이 될 수도 있습니다. 결혼은 신이 정하신 친교와 동반자 관계이며, 이러한 축복받은 관계를 맺어본 사람만이 남녀 간의 신성한 결합이 얼마나 큰 축복인지, 그리고 그것이 개인과 자녀, 가족에게 얼마나 큰 축복이 될 수 있는지 진정으로 이해할 수 있습니다. 나아가 사회와 이웃까지도 이러한 신성한 결합의 축복을 누리고 경험할 수 있습니다!

저는 성경 이야기가 아주 풍부하며 우리 인간의 실존을 폭넓게 다루고 있다고 생각합니다! 갈릴리 호수 근처에 살면서 많은 아들을 낳은 유명한 이스라엘 작곡가의 노래가 있습니다. 저는 여러분께 매주 그 주의 토라 포션을 읽고 잠시 묵상하는 시간을 가져보시기를 권합니다. 제가 앞에서 언급했듯이, 유대인과 비-유대인 모두에게 매 안식일에 회당에 가서 하나님의 말씀을 들으라는 것은 사도들의 명령입니다! 오늘날에는 이것조차 더 이상 필요하지 않습니다. 우리 대부분이 읽고 이해할 수 있는 언어로 된 성경을 적어도 한 권씩은 가지고 있기 때문입니다. 회당에서 낭독되는 토라 포션을 따라 읽기 시작하십시오. 항상 같은 언어로 낭독되는 것은 아니지만, 안식일에는 항상 토라와 선지서에서 같은 내용이 낭독됩니다. 신약성경 사도행전 15장을 읽으면 이 장의 끝에서 메시아 예슈아의 유대인 제자들 가운데서 이제 막 성도 공동체에 합류한 비-유대인 형제자매들과 관련하여 어떻게 해야 할지 결정하기 위해 예루살렘에 모인 사도들과 전도자들의 공의회의 직접적인 명령을 찾을 수 있습니다.

저는 이번 안식일에 우리가 읽는 선지서 말씀이 이사야 55장 1-6절부터 시작하는 것은 아니라, 54장 11절부터 시작하고 있다는 것을 알고 있지만, 이사야 55장 1-6절에 나오는 이 놀라운 말씀을 언급하지 않을 수 없을 것 같습니다. 이 초대는 예슈아의 탄생과 사도 시대보다 수백 년 전에 쓰였지만, 이사야 54장 11-17절부터 시작되는 본문보다 먼저 읽어보면 특별한 의미를 지닙니다. 이것은 먹을 우유와 빵을 사기 위해 열심히 일하는 평범한 사람들을 위한 특별한 초대입니다. 아직 의로운 해가 떠오르지도 않았고, 따뜻한 햇살과 삶의 기쁨을 받지 못했지만, 하나님의 자녀인 평범한 사람들입니다. 이제 이번 안식일에 전통적으로 읽는 선지서 이사야 54:11-55:5의 말씀으로 가겠습니다.

이사야 54:11-17 “너 곤고하며 광풍에 요동하여 안위를 받지 못한 자여 보라 내가 화려한 채색으로 네 돌 사이에 더하며 청옥으로 네 기초를 쌓으며 12 홍보석으로 네 성벽을 지으며 석류석으로 네 성문을 만들고 네 지경을 다 보석으로 꾸밀 것이며 13 네 모든 자녀는 여호와의 교훈을 받을 것이니 네 자녀에게는 큰 평안이 있을 것이며 14 너는 공의로 설 것이며 학대가 네게서 멀어질 것인즉 네가 두려워하지 아니할 것이며 공포도 네게 가까이하지 못할 것이라 15 보라 그들이 분쟁을 일으킬지라도 나로 말미암지 아니한 것이니 누구든지 너와 분쟁을 일으키는 자는 너로 말미암아 패망하리라 16 보라 숯불을 불어서 자기가 쓸 만한 연장을 제조하는 장인도 내가 창조하였고 파괴하며 진멸하는 자도 내가 창조하였은즉 17 너를 치려고 제조된 모든 연장이 쓸모가 없을 것이라 일어나 너를 대적하여 송사하는 모든 혀는 네게 정죄를 당하리니 이는 여호와의 종들의 기업이요 이는 그들이 내게서 얻은 공의니라 여호와의 말씀이니라”

제가 이 이사야 말씀 몇 구절을 반복한 것은 의도적인 것입니다. 이 말씀들이 매우 강력하기 때문인데, 특히 유대인의 왕, 이스라엘의 메시아, 나의 구주 예슈아의 유대인 제자인 저에게 더 그러하기 때문입니다. 저는 여러분이 이 성경 말씀들을 다시 한번 읽어보시고, 여러분의 교회나 기독교 공동체, 그리고 크리스마스트리를 가진 서구 기독교의 맥락에서 벗어나 생각해 보셨으면 좋겠습니다(예레미야 10:1-5 참조).

우리는 종교 놀이를 하는 것이 아니며, 성경에서 종교는 그다지 인기 있는 주제도 아닙니다! '종교'라는 단어 자체도 매우 드물게 언급되며 사도들이 반드시 권장하는 것도 아닙니다.

이사야 선지자는 우리에게 삶과 건강한 공동체를 위한 매우 기본적이면서도 가장 중요한 원칙들을 제시합니다. 건강한 공동체란 우리 메시아 예슈아께서 태어나시기 수백 년 전, 이사야 시대에 이스라엘 백성에게 주신 하나님의 약속들이 이루어지는 것을 보기 위해 의도적으로 조직되고 집중하는 공동체입니다. 이 약속들은 이스라엘 민족, 이스라엘의 가난한 사람들, 그리고 이스라엘 백성 가운데 박해받는 사람들에게 주어진 것입니다. 비-유대인 형제자매님들, 하나님의 말씀과 사도들의 가르침(에베소서 2장 10절 이후 등)은 여러분을 환영합니다. 메시아 예슈아의 희생으로 여러분은 거듭났고, 새 언약을 소유했고, 백성과 언약에 대해 더 이상 먼 이방인이 아니며, 가까이 오게 되었고, 선지자들이 약속하고 신약성경의 사도들의 가르침에서 약속한 미래에 가까이 오게 되었습니다. 그렇습니다, 친애하는 형제님들, 성경을 읽으십시오. 성경은 아브라함의 후손을 통해 모든 육체를 구원하시려는 하나님의 깊은 구원 계획과 하나님께서 이스라엘에게 주신 약속에 대한 비밀을 깨닫고 풍성하게 해 줄 것입니다.

The Jerusalem Prayer List - August 8, 2026

Reading the Torah portion that is called Re'eh from Deuteronomy 11:16-16:17, and from the prophets the (Haftarah) is from Isaiah 54:11-55:5, and from the New Testament the reading is from Acts 13:13-52.

Dear brothers and sisters, as you can see, this next Shabbat the readings are a little longer than usual. The Word of God, the Bible, is not a short book, and sometimes the readings that are read in all the synagogues around the world can be long. We must remember that the Bible is an ancient book written in the ancient Hebrew language. In fact, it is a miracle that we can read it today. As far as I know, there is no other language that is as ancient as the Hebrew Bible, and most children (13 years and older) in most of the Jewish communities around the world can read the ancient Hebrew Texts and understand them. In the Israel Museum, there are the Dead Sea Scrolls that were found in Qumran in 1947, the same year that the state of Israel was established, and continued to be discovered all the way to 1956. These texts are some of the biblical texts like the whole book of Isaiah text is there and was probably copied in Qumran between the late second century B.C., and the mid 1st Century A.D. The exact dates of the beginning of the community are not known. But today, most Israelis, even the students of the 8th grade of every elementary school, can read those original old texts found in clay jars hidden in a cave near the shores of the Dead Sea; they can read and understand that ancient Hebrew Script.

I was in Japan in the 1980's with some famous professors of the University in Osaka visiting a museum with some ancient letters in Japanese that might have been around 400 or 500 years old and the esteemed professors could read some of these old Japanese texts but not easy to understand what they were reading. So, here we are, the small Jewish nation with a very small population spread around the whole world, continuing to read Hebrew documents that are thousands of years older than the discovery of the Americas or Australia. There are the cities in our world today that their population exceeds the total number of Jews in the world: Tokyo Japan ~37.0 population. New Delhi, India ~34.0 million. Shanghai, China ~30.5 million. Dhaka ~24.5 million. Cairo, Egypt ~23.5 million. São Paulo ~22.8 million. Mexico City, Beijing, Mumbai, Osaka, Japan, Chongqing: 18.5 million. (I don't even know where to find that city in the world… I could go on with the list of cities in our world now that have more population than 20 million inhabitants. The Total number of the Jews in the world is estimated around less than 20 million Jews.)

Our Torah portion and the portion from the prophets that will be read in every synagogue in the world on this coming Shabbat from a handwritten copy of the five books of the Torah attributed to Moses the Egyptian Prince, raised in the temples of ancient Egypt as a prince of Egypt in the time of the pharaohs that lived sometime between the 12th to the 14th Century B.C. Are still influencing the millions of people both Jews and Christians who hold the whole Bible as God's Holy Word. Islam even today is influenced by the Hebrew Bible that has the transposed and doctored narratives of the Torah embedded in the texts of the Quran.

And after the longish introduction, here is my first point. These ancient texts, translated to many, if not most, of the languages spoken, written, and read on the surface of this blue ball called Earth, are still powerful and even commanded in the New Testament for the non-Jews among the disciples of Yeshua to read every Shabbat or go to the local synagogue and hear the reading of these texts. Here is the direct quotation of this apostolic command from the book of Acts chapter 15:19-21,

"Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God, but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood. For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath." (Acts 15:19-21 NKJV)

Our reading of the Torah portion this Shabbat will be from Deuteronomy 11:26-16:17. It is a little long reading of 5 full chapters from the last book of Torah (the law of Moses, the book of Deuteronomy) After the reading of the Torah we will be reading from the prophets from the book of Isaiah from chapter 54:11 – 55:5, and than the last of our public reading is from the New Testament book of Acts 13:13-52. This is not a small amount of reading for public reading in a public place with adults and children seated together and paying attention to God's word being publicly read. When you read the book of Acts and follow the apostle Paul's journeys in Greece and Turkey and going to the local synagogues in the towns and cities that he visits, you will discover something that ought to be an eye-opener for you, dear brothers and sisters who are reading this Jerusalem prayer list week after week for more than 30 years. Yes, dear brothers and sisters, I have been writing this Jerusalem prayer list for more than 30 years. Every week, it is being received by thousands of people around the globe.

The reading from the Torah is from Deuteronomy 11:26-16:17. The first word of the reading also gives our ancient tradition the name of the reading. In our case for this Shabbat, the first Hebrew word is Re'eh. This Hebrew word is translated in the NKJV with the following word:

"Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known." (Deuteronomy 11:25-28 NKJV).

The first word of our Torah portion in Hebrew is Re'eh! The Hebrew word is translated in English as "Behold!" Could be translated also as ״Look!" Or even look up! The following text is most meaningful. God is telling Moses and the children of Israel that life has two parts, positive and negative. In fact, even a single atom has two parts: positive and negative. Everything can be said has two sides to it. Any coin, no matter if it is made from clay or 24 carat gold, has two sides to it. However, in issues of life and existence and humanity and human relationships, these self-evident truths are often forgotten and ignored. God makes it clear to Moses and through Moses and the Torah to all of us who read the Bible and take it seriously. Just about everything in life can be a blessing and or a curse. In this Torah session from Deuteronomy 11:26-16:17, God through Moses spells this principle out as clear as it can be! Some of the most wonderful things in life, like marriage and family, can be a wonderful blessing and joy of family and children and a wonderful life with a loving family and a holy union of warmth and growth with children. Marriage can be a divinely ordained fellowship and partnership that only those who have or had such a blessed relationship can understand how much of a blessing this divinely ordained union between a male and a female can mean and what a blessing it can be to you as a person, to your children, and to your extended families. Even the society and neighborhood can enjoy and experience the blessing of such a divine union!

I find the biblical narratives so rich and so broadly covering our human existence! There is a song by a famous Israeli song writer who lived near the Sea of Galilee and wrote many sons. I would like to challenge you to take the time to read every week the Torah portion of that week and take a few minutes to meditate about what you are reading. As I have written above, it is an apostolic command for the Jews and non-Jews to go to the synagogue to hear the WORD of GOD read every Sabbath! Now days even this is not necessary any more because most of us have at least one Bible in a language that we can read and understand. Just start reading, following the Torah portions that are read in every synagogue. Not always in the same language, but always the same Sabbath has the same text from the Torah and also from the prophets. Just go to the book of Acts in the New Testament and read chapter 15 and at the end of this chapter you will find the direct command of the joint counsel of the Apostles and evangelists who gathered in Jerusalem to decide what to do in relationship to the none-Jewish brothers and sisters who have just joined themselves to the community of the saints from among the Jewish disciples of Yeshua the Messiah.

Just a few words about the reading from Isaiah 54:11 – 55:5. Here too, my dear brothers and sisters! The prophet Isaiah starts chapter 55 with the following word:

"Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David.

Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people, A leader and commander for the people.

Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, And nations who do not know you shall run to you, Because of the LORD your God, And the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you."

Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near." (Isaiah 55:1-6 NKJV)

I realize that our reading from the prophets on this Shabbat starts from Isaiah 54:11 and not from chapter 55:1-6, but I just couldn't resist bringing up this wonderful text from Isaiah 55:1-6. This invitation written hundreds of years before the birth of Yeshua and the apostolic period in history, but reading it before the actual text that starts from Isaiah 54:11-17, is something special – a special invitation for the plain folks those who are working hard to buy milk and bread to eat. Those children of God on whom the sun of righteousness has not yet bounced, the sun rays of warmth and the joy of living. Now I will go to the traditional text that is read on this Shabbat from the prophet Isaiah 54:11- 55:5.

Isaiah 54:11-17 "O you afflicted one, Tossed with tempest, and not comforted,

Behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems, And lay your foundations with sapphires. 12 I will make your pinnacles of rubies, Your gates of crystal, And all your walls of precious stones. 13 All your children shall be taught by the LORD, And great shall be the peace of your children. 14 In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you. 15 Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake. 16 "Behold, I have created the blacksmith Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the spoiler to destroy. 17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. (Isaiah 55:1-5), "Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. On purpose I have reappeared a few of these words of Isaiah because these words are so powerful and especially to me as a Jewish disciples of Yeshua my Savior, the Messiah of Israel the King of the Jews. I would like you to just read again these biblical texts and take them outside of the context of your church or your Christian community and western Christianity, with the Christmas Tree (See Jeremiah 10:1-5).

We are not playing religion, and religion is not even something popular in the Bible! The word religion itself is a very rarely mentioned word and not necessarily recommended by the apostles.

Isaiah the prophet gives us here some very basic and most important principles for life and for a healthy community that is focused and intentionally organized to see these promises of God to the people of Israel in the days of Isaiah the prophet, some hundreds of years before Yeshua our Messiah was born. Promises given to the nation of Israel, to the poor of Israel, to the persecuted of the people of Israel. You our non-Jewish brothers and sisters are welcomed by the Word of God and by the Apostolic texts (like Ephesians chapter 2:10 forward and much more) to be born again and have now the covenants and you are no longer strangers and far off but by the sacrifice of Yeshua the Messiah have been brought near and no longer strangers to the people of God and the covenants and the future promised by the prophets and by the New Testament apostolic teachings. Yes, dear brothers, read the Bible; it will enrich and open up the deep secrets of God's plan of redemption for all flesh through the seed of Abraham and the promises He gave to Israel.

 Elihana Elia still battling cancer. please keep her in your prayers for her treatments and healing.

 Judy is 100 years old and has been placed in a special home for her needs.

 Pray for Adam’s father and mother, Barry and Dalia. They have some health problems and challenges.

 Pray for Miriam a dear sister old age dementia.

 Pray for Um Mahmud Abu-Eid, Jimmy Abu-Eid, and all of the family. This is a dear family of old friends that needs healing and wisdom for the children and for their work.

 Please pray for the Romero family, who live deep in the Negev desert. It is hot there, and they are far from our congregation, and we miss them.

 Pray for Deborah Isaiah. I pray for the Lord to find Deborah Isaiah and lead her to a blessed life, family, and a solution to her problems.

In Finland:

 ilse Luukas is having her second melanoma surgery and is asking for success in removing all the cancer. This is a repeat from 2019.

 Mauno Lemponen’s health has not changed which is a good thing. They are evaluating moving closer to other family members — prayers for Hilkka, Miika, and Ester who will support this possible change. Please pray as moving is always a big task.

 Pray for Satu-Maria, Sinni Tuuli, Anne Mirjami, our dear sisters.

 Pray for Eva H., Patty, Andrea, Julia, Victor, Aaron Tani, and Hillel.

 Pray for the family of X in Finland who are waiting to see their children and Grandchildren to be in faith in the Lord. its stressful to not have all your children walk in faith.

In Denmark:

 Cynthia M asked you to pray for her health. She has neutropenia and chronic asthma, and has been undergoing biological treatment with injections every two weeks since 2021 so I ask you to pray for better results and better health conditions as the symptoms, respiratory infections, medications, and injections make me very tired every day.

 Mass has lost his wife and has small children. Please pray for Mass a this children as he navigates this major change in his life and the Childrens life. May God bless him with direction.

In Brazil:

 Sister Rosie needs prayers to overcome fears of traveling by plane.

 Hannah and her family are in Dubai. They need prayer to make plans on either leaving or stay in dubai since that's where they are currently employed.

 Pray for a dear young man, Paulo, from Curitiba, Brazil, who seriously needs our prayers for sanity and mental health.

 Pray for a dear sister named Claudia Rita Souze Arau. She has cancer and needs God’s healing hands to touch her with healing.

 update Danah went to have her surgery and got prepared. when the surgeon came in she said. I dont see the place on your body anymore that requires surgery. so I am not going to cut you. It's truly an answer to prayer. We thank God.

 M. is back in the hospital for rehabilitation after being in and out the last 4 months. now and the family is asking for prayers.

 Keith in Baltimore is having a terrible time with Crohn’s disease - please pray for his healing.

 Bart Hill has aplastic anemia. His family and friends are asking for prayers for recovery and strength.

 Judith is asking for prayers to her kidney function and painful neuropathy. Please pray for her healing. She so desperately needs some relief.

 Chatica was raised by her grandmother who is going through initial stages of dimensia. Pray for and family that are navigating this new phase of care for her.

 Shirley J heart surgery is needed since her stents did not work. She is asking for faith to be strengthened.

 Irina L. needs a kidney transplant. Her kidney is beginning to fail and is only 26% functioning. Prayer for a suitable donor and wisdom for the doctors and medical team to maintain her kidney functions. (Irina is the twin sister of pastor Serge from Kazakhstan.

 Elisheva’s husband is recovering from a fourth surgery. On September 23, he will have a 5th surgery. Also prayer for healing for Elisheva's left leg and hip joint healing. Also, an interview next week for a new job.

 Manny is asking for prayers for his father’s health that is in decline.

 Shirleyann - continues to have a rough time with water retention and hydration medications. Her heart is slowing down. The good news is her weight has increased. please continue to keep her in your prayers.

 Jordan Issac - is scheduled to visit some doctors to evaluate his needs and mental health. Please pray for an answer to his needs to be found and help this young man.

 Pete and Marge. Marge is undergoing tests for breast cancer, and they are in the process of trying to get legal guardianship of their grandkids. They are both in the mid 80s. Please pray for strength and longevity to get these kids past college age.

 Aida Ramirez turned 100 this past Tuesday dec 23. She is in a wheelchair, recovering from a hip surgery, and is dealing with dementia. continue to pray for her and her family (Aida is taking care of it)

 Pat S pain management has improved with some shots. Keep Philip, who is 89 and is caring for Pat, in you prayers.

 Larry is asking for prayers for his grandchildren. I would say most of us that have grandchildren are concerned about the states of the world. The state of intolerance. The temptations out there. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to guide them in making good choices.

 Juli got a good report on her last scan and she is also in remission. So praise God. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is Good.

 Bill has been able to change the regiment where the side effects are manageable, and we are thankful for that. We are praying for healing, strength, and comfort for Jill and Bill.

 Barbra and Angie are in Alaska. Barbra has some pains and discomfort related to old age. Please lift them in prayer for strength and reduction in pain.

 Please pray for Danah, my daughter's health issues. I pray for the Lord to give Danah wisdom, peace, and calm in life and her work.

 Aaron Hook, Nancy Hook’s oldest son, needs our prayers for wisdom and healing from past life issues.

 Pray for these important men of God: Rabbi Salt, his family, and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings.

 Pray for Ilana Avramov, who is married to my cousin Nissim and lives in New York City. Ilana is home now. Her health is in a decline. She and Nissim both need our prayers.

 Pray for Steve Mock - His cognitive condition has declined, and we ask for the grace of God and His Healing and strength. Steve and Josie’s son Joseph has received a wonderful and glorious report. Two weeks before the war with Iran began, I met with the CEO of Magen David Adom (David’s Red Shield), Israel’s national emergency medical service. With about 2,000 employees and 35,000 volunteers, MADA responders are the first on the scene when missiles are intercepted or strike communities, providing urgent medical care and assessment. Netivyah International is seeking to raise $150,000 to fund one ambulance and a rapid-response tricycle vehicle to help reach those in need quickly.
