예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2023년 2월 2일

이번 토라 포션은 큰 안식일 토라 포션 중 하나인 “베샬랔”이라고 하는 포션이고, 이 특별 안식일의 이름은 “샤밧 쉬라”라고 하는 모세의 노래 안식일입니다. 이 노래는 사실 제가 1950년대 초에 예루살렘에서 초등학교에 다닐 때 외웠던 첫 성경 구절로 아직도 기억하고 있습니다.
우리가 읽는 토라 포션은 출애굽기 13:17~17:16이고, 선지서에서 읽는 또 다른 서사시는 드보라의 노래라고 부르는 사사기 4:4~5:31입니다. 성경적 서사시란 무엇입니까? “서사”의 정의는 평범한 현실보다 위대한 사건을 영웅적이고 장엄하게 이야기하는, 때로는 그 순간을 강조하여 상세한 내용을 과장하는 이야기나 시나 노래입니다. 성경에는 그러한 서사시가 딱 세 개 있는데요, 모세의 노래, 드보라의 노래, 다윗의 노래입니다. 모세의 노래가 중요한 것은 이스라엘 자손이 홍해 반대편에 서서 그들의 적 애굽인들이 큰 파도 속에 휩쓸려 들어가 수장되는 것을 지켜보고 있었을 때를 말해주는 노래일 뿐만 아니라, 이것이 예언적 노래이자 종말적 노래이기도 하기 때문입니다. 이 노래는 다윗의 아들 솔로몬에 의해 예루살렘에 성전이 건축될 것을 예언하고 있고, 하나님의 백성이 그들의 악한 적들을 이길 것도 예언하고 있습니다. 앞의 세 노래 속의 승리는 이스라엘의 승리가 아닙니다. 그것은 하나님께서 친히 그분의 적들과의 싸움을 싸워 이기신 승리입니다. 이것이 모세의 노래가 중요한 이유, 또한 성도들이 흰옷을 입고 메시아의 보좌 주위에 모여 모세의 노래, (하나님의) 어린양의 노래를 부르는 이유입니다. 요한계시록에서 이 위대한 장면이 왜 중요한 것일까요? 그 본문은 이렇습니다: “또 하늘에 크고 이상한 다른 이적을 보매 일곱 천사가 일곱 재앙을 가졌으니 곧 마지막 재앙이라 하나님의 진노가 이것으로 마치리로다 또 내가 보니 불이 섞인 유리 바다 같은 것이 있고 짐승과 그의 우상과 그의 이름의 수를 이기고 벗어난 자들이 유리 바다 가에 서서 하나님의 거문고를 가지고 하나님의 종 모세의 노래, 어린 양의 노래를 불러 이르되 주 하나님 곧 전능하신 이시여 하시는 일이 크고 놀라우시도다 만국의 왕이시여 주의 길이 의롭고 참되시도다 주여 누가 주의 이름을 두려워하지 아니하며 영화롭게 하지 아니하오리이까 오직 주만 거룩하시니이다 주의 의로우신 일이 나타났으매 만국이 와서 주께 경배하리이다 하더라” (요한계시록 15:1–4) 대부분의 명목상의 기독교인들은 예슈아께서 시온으로 돌아오셔서 이 땅의 체제 정부를 무너뜨리시고 짐승(사탄)을 이기신 후 성도들이 흰옷을 입고 하나님의 어린양, 메시아의 보좌 주위에 모여 모세의 노래, 어린양의 노래를 부르게 되는 것을 알게 되면 당황할 것입니다. 저는 서울의 대부분의 개신교 기독교인들은 “내 주는 강한 성이요”나 어쩌면 “주 하나님 지으신 모든 세계”를 즐겨 부를 것이라고 생각해 볼 수 있을 것 같습니다. 모세의 노래는 “초월역사”라고 부를 만한 것을 서술하는 것입니다. 이것은 초월적 역사를 기리며 우리의 우주를 다스리는 진짜 실제적인 힘을 기술하고 있습니다. 우리 인간은 자연, 태양, 달, 별이 지구와 우리 우주 태양과 푸른 바다를 움직이는 힘이라는 거짓된 인상을 가지고 있습니다. 이 서사시 모세의 노래는 자연을 초월하여 무엇이 있는지, 우리가 어째서인지 무지와 어리석음으로 우리 지구가 정확한 각도로 계속 회전하고 우리 지구가 값비싼 스위스 손목시계보다도 더 정확하게 시간을 지키는 것을 자연, 물리, 우연한 자력 덕분으로 돌리는 그런 자연현상 배후에 무엇이 있는지를 우리에게 말해줍니다. 모세와 그의 서사적 노래는 우리에게 다른 것을 말해줍니다. 모세는 우리가 스스로를 아주 똑똑하게 여겨 이스라엘 자손이 마른 땅으로 건널 수 있었던 홍해에서 일어난 이 일은 쓰나미나 산토리니섬이 생기게 한 화산 대폭발이나 지중해 앞 에게해 주변에 떨어진 운석 때문이라고 생각하는 것에 대해서 우리에게 말해줍니다. 아닙니다, 친애하는 형제자매님들, 사도 요한의 계시록의 초월역사에서는 역사의 마지막 장면에서 예우받는 모세가 나오는데요, 이것은 우리에게 어떤 계시를 줍니다. 이것은 이스라엘 자손이 홍해를 건넌 후 모세가 노래를 부르는 것을 들으며 그의 누이 미리암이 홍해 동편 모래밭에서 신발도 신지 않고 손에 탬버린을 들고 춤을 추는 것을 보면서 경험했을 충격 요법과 계시와 같은 것입니다. 제게 가장 인상 깊은 이 노래 가사는 이렇습니다: “이 때에 모세와 이스라엘 자손이 이 노래로 여호와께 노래하니 일렀으되 내가 여호와를 찬송하리니 그는 높고 영화로우심이요 말과 그 탄 자를 바다에 던지셨음이로다

주께서 백성을 인도하사 그들을 주의 기업의 산에 심으시리이다 여호와여 이는 주의 처소를 삼으시려고 예비하신 것이라 주여 이것이 주의 손으로 세우신 성소로소이다 여호와께서 영원무궁 하도록 다스리시도다 하였더라 바로의 말과 병거와 마병이 함께 바다에 들어가매 여호와께서 바닷물을 그들 위에 되돌려 흐르게 하셨으나 이스라엘 자손은 바다 가운데서 마른 땅으로 지나간지라”
(출애굽기 15:1–19) 볼드체와 파란색으로 표시된 가사는 모세의 노래를 이해하는 열쇠이며 그것을 외울 가치가 있는 이유입니다. 저는 우리가 흰옷을 입고 메시아의 보좌 주위에 모일 때 우리 손에 노래책을 들고 있을 것이라고는 생각하지 않습니다. 그러므로 모세의 노래를 외우는 것이 중요하고 복되고 유익합니다. 가능하면 히브리어로 외우십시오. 여기에서 그 노래를 보실 수 있습니다. 하나님께서 여러분에게 복 주시기를 축복합니다. 자연은 이 우주와 우리 지구의 창조주이신 이스라엘의 주 하나님의 또 다른 종일 뿐임을 기억하십시오. 하나님께서는 이 땅과, 땅 위와, 우리 발 밑 지각 아래 마그마 속의 모든 것을 통제하시는 유일한 분이십니다!

The Jerusalem Prayer List – February 2, 2023

This is one of these great Sabbath readings from the Torah – the Portion of the Torah is called Beshalach and the special name of this special Shabbat is Shabbat Shirah, the Sabbath of the Song of Moses. This was actually the first biblical text that I learned by heart when I was in elementary school in Jerusalem in the early 1950’s and I still remember it.
From the Torah we read Exodus 13:17 – 17:16, and from the Prophets we read another epic song called the Song of Deborah from Judges 4:4-5:31. What is a Biblical Epic Song? The definition of "epic" is: a story or a poem or a song that is heroic, majestic, telling of a great event, bigger than normal reality and sometime exaggerating some of the details to aggrandize the moment. The Bible has only three such epic songs, the Song of Moses, the Song of Deborah and the Song of David. The importance of the Song of Moses is not only when the children of Israel stood on the other side of the Red (Reed) Sea and watched their enemies fall into the great waves drowning their Egyptian enemies, but it is a prophetic song and also an eschatological song. The song predicts the building of the temple in Jerusalem by Solomon the son of David, and it also predicts the victory of God’s people over their evil enemies. The victory in these three songs is not that of Israel. It is God himself fighting and winning the battle over His enemies. This is the importance of this song of Moses, and that is also why the saints have gathered around the throne of the Messiah all dressed in white and singing the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb (of God). Why is important to have the great scene from The Revelation of John? Here is the text: “Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete. And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, For Your judgments have been manifested.”” (Revelation 15:1–4 NKJV) Most nominal Christians ought to be dismayed to find out that right there after the return of Yeshua to Zion and after the collapse of the Earthly system and governments the victory over the BEAST (Satan), the saints will be wearing white and gathered around the Throne of the Lamb of God, the Messiah and they will be singing the song of Moses and the Song of the Lamb. I would think that most Protestant Christians Seoul like to sing “A mighty fortress is our God,” or may be “How Great thou art…”. The Song of Moses is the depiction of what I would call “PARA History” — It is a song that celebrates the transcendent history and describes the true and real forces that rule our universe. We, as human beings have a false impression that nature, the sun and the moon, and the stars, are the forces that drive the earth and our universe the sun, and the oceans blue. This epic song, the song of Moses tells us what is beyond nature and what is above and behind the natural events that we somehow, out of ignorance and stupidity, attribute to NATURE to PHYSICS, to accidental magnetic forces that keep our Earth spinning in a precise angle and keeps our planet Earth keeping time better than any Swiss expensive hand watch. Moses and his epic song are telling us something different. Moses is telling us that what we think to be so smart and attribute the events on the Sea of Reeds that the children of Israel crossed on dry land, to a Tsunami or a massive volcanic eruption that created the island of Santorini, or some meteorite that landed in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of the Aegean Sea…. No, dear brothers and sisters, here comes Moses being honored in the last scenes of History in the Para-History of the book of Revelation of the Apostle John and it gives us a revelation. It is the same revelation and shock treatment that those children of Israel must have experienced when they crossed the sea and hear Moses sing and Miriam his sister dance with the daughters of Israel with Tambourines in their hands, without shoes and on the sandy east side of that Sea of Reeds. Here are some of the most impressive for me lines of this song: “Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying: “I will sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!
The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him. The LORD is a man of war; The LORD is His name.
Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea; His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea.
The depths have covered them; They sank to the bottom like a stone. “Your right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O LORD, has dashed the enemy in pieces.
And in the greatness of Your excellence, You have overthrown those who rose against You; You sent forth Your wrath; It consumed them like stubble. And with the blast of Your nostrils the waters were gathered together; The floods stood upright like a heap; The depths congealed in the heart of the sea.
The enemy said, “I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, My hand shall destroy them.’ You blew with Your wind, The sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters.
“Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?
You stretched out Your right hand; The earth swallowed them.
You in Your mercy have led forth the people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength To Your holy habitation. “The people will hear and be afraid; Sorrow will take hold of the inhabitants of Philistia.
Then the chiefs of Edom will be dismayed; The mighty men of Moab, Trembling will take hold of them; All the inhabitants of Canaan will melt away. Fear and dread will fall on them; By the greatness of Your arm, they will be as still as a stone, Till Your people pass over, O LORD, Till the people pass over Whom You have purchased.
You will bring them in and plant them in the mountain of Your inheritance, In the place, O LORD, which You have made For Your own dwelling, The sanctuary, O LORD, which Your hands have established. “The LORD shall reign forever and ever.”
For the horses of Pharaoh went with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought back the waters of the sea upon them. But the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.”
(Exodus 15:1–19 NKJV) The lines marked in Bold and Blue are the key for understanding the song of Moses and the reason why it is something that is worth to learn by heart. When we gather around the Throne of the Messiah dressed in white, I don’t think that we will have songbooks in our hands. So, it is important and blessed and useful to know the song of Moses by heart. If possible, learn it in Hebrew. He is the only ONE who is in control of all things in the earth and above the earth and under the earth’s crust in the magma under our feet!
Pray for faithful brothers and sisters in Israel.
Please pray for Israel during these difficult moments of political needs in the creation of the new government after the last election. There are some major political earthquakes in Israel and in the Knesset (our parliament) with the new government and the opposition.
Israel is in a situation that can easily turn into an end of democracy in the State of Israel. The problem is not one-sided, it is from both sides of the political spectrum.
In Jerusalem pray for the following brothers and sisters who are in need of divine grace and the gentle touch of the hand of God for healing and strength.
Ilana Ahijervie, a dear sister who is 98 years old and suffering from memory problems.
Lea Korky, a dear sister who is 89 years old and served for many years as a nurse in the Sha’arei Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
Sarit, a sister born in Jerusalem, over 87 years old, lives alone. Has no close family, and suffers from several old-age illnesses.
Yehuda Hochman, is a dear older brother living in the Negev desert with some illness that needs healing.
Please continue to pray for My wife Marcia and her health. We need to pray for her strength and her energy and her arthritis and diabetic and memory problems.
Marcia and I are planning to travel to the United States in the middle of January until the end of February. I will be teaching in the United States and also traveling to Brazil to share and hold some important seminars on topics that need to be understood and practiced by the body of the Messiah worldwide. Very little of what Yeshua commanded His disciples is practiced and even instructed by the vast majority of the Christian community worldwide.
Your prayers for Alexander have been answered, but please keep praying for Alexander and for his sister Sarah, and his brother Andrew, and their general and spiritual welfare!
Please pray for Michael McGoff, Michael had heart surgery a few days ago and we need to pray for his full recovery.
Pray for Adam R., Adam works in Netivyah as the media director and he, like Yehuda and Daniel, has been raised in Netivyah congregation in the Galilee. Adam has lost much of his hearing as a result of a virus. Pray for Adam and his family of 8 children.
Pray for Adam’s father and mother, Barry and Dalia. They too have some health problems and challenges.
Pray for Miriam and for Hannah, her daughter. Miriam is a dear sister and has lost her husband recently. Pray for Daniel S. and his children. Our dear leader in the Ro’eh Israel congregation, Gary, and his health, and for his wife Melanie and their family.
Pray for Um Mahmud Abu-Eid and Jimmy Abu-Eid and all of the family. This is a dear family of old friends that needs healing and wisdom for the children and for their work.
Please pray for the Romero family who live deep in the Negev desert. It is hot there and they are far from our congregation, we miss them, but we wish them a wonderful summer.
Please pray for Alexander West and his sister Sarah West. Alexander has a very serious case of Covid, and he has asked for prayer. This is a good thing, since Alexander has been estranged form the faith for a season. Pray also for Ronan, Alexander’s wife, who also has a challenging case of Covid.
Pray for the Ro’eh Israel congregation and the leadership of Netivyah. I have received my last check in the end of August. I am no longer employed by Netivyah. I am continuing the Lord’s work without stopping or slowing down for one minute. I need your prayers because from January I will be living on a pension. Until January, by God’s grace!
Pray for our sister Nina Nichayev, who is in the hospital for tests. Nina needs our prayers and the prayers of our brothers and sisters around the world.

Pray for the congregations related to Netivyah in Brazil, to have the strength and stamina to face the challenges in front of them with courage and strength of faithfulness to the Lord, and to the vision of the restoration of the church and Israel.
Pray for the millions of victims of the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition who have been forced to convert to the Catholic church, and now want to return home to the land of Israel and to the faith of our fathers.
Pray for the state of Israel to open the doors for these lost Jews to be able to return and fulfill God’s promises to the prophet Ovadyah:
“But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. The house of Jacob shall be a fire, And the house of Joseph a flame; But the house of Esau shall be stubble; They shall kindle them and devour them, And no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau, For the Lord has spoken. The South shall possess the mountains of Esau, And the Lowland shall possess Philistia. They shall possess the fields of Ephraim And the fields of Samaria. Benjamin shall possess Gilead. And the captives of this host of the children of Israel Shall possess the land of the Canaanites As far as Zarephath. The captives of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad Shall possess the cities of the South. Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion To judge the mountains of Esau, And the kingdom shall be the Lord’s.” — Obadiah 1:17-21 [NKJV]
Pray for Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias. He is the father of a dear sister in Brazil.
Pray for a dear young man, Paulo, from Curitiba, Brazil, who is seriously needing our prayers for sanity and mental health.
Pray for our dear brother Marcelo G. and his family. Marcelo is a pioneer in the establishing the Teaching from Zion ministry in Brazil and the Har Zion Congregation in Belo-Horizonte.
Pray for Marcelo’s father who is up in the years. Pray for our brothers in the Har Zion congregation, the widow of Pastor George, and for those who are ill and need healing.
Pray for Livia Schnell Nothen, she has some issues with her physical health and a growth in her adrenal gland. And other health issues.
Guilherme Antonio Nothen Becker, who is suffering from back problems. Aratuza de Oliveira his wife. Pray for this 3-year-old child that has serious problems with his eyes and ask the Lord to give healing to his eyes. This child’s name is Caique de Oliveira Becker.
Pray for Bernardo Antonio Nothen Becker. Bernardo is addicted to gambling and playing poker. This caused deep sorrow to his family.
Fernanda Nothen Becker, our dear sister has problems with her job that cause her pressure and challenges. Pray for the social situation in Fernanda’s work to turn and her suffering to turn into joy and friendship.

In India, Pastor Isaac, from Chennai, needs our prayers. Pastor Isaac is suffering from kidney problems and has to have dialysis several times per week.

Pray for Ruby Little, our dear and faithful sister who has cancer and has stopped receiving medical treatment for the cancer that she has. Please pray for Ruby that the Lord will heal and strengthen her and provide for all her needs both medically and socially.
Aaron Hook, Nancy Hook’s oldest son, needs our prayers for wisdom and healing from past issues of life. Pray for Don, Aaron’s father and Nancy’s husband. Don and Nancy are now in the USA. Keep Nancy in your prayers.
Lift for blessing and healing Jonathan B. and his wife Aviva and their new baby, his mother, and his brother Daniel. Pray for these very important men of God: Rabbi Salt, his family, and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings.
Pray a blessing for a dear sister Angela Isby and her situation. Pray for Tiz H. and Lion H.
Also pray for Ilana Avramov who is married to my cousin Nissim and lives in New York City. Ilana has fallen and in now in rehab learning how to walk again. We pray for her full recovery. She and Nissim both need our prayers.
Joseph Mock, a young man in his 30s, a dear brother that was named after me, has leukemia in an advanced stage. He is in the hospital and needs our urgent prayers. Joseph Mock is the son of Steve Mock, who is also one of the faithful disciples of Yeshua who became a believer in the early years of Netivyah.
Steve Mock is also in need of our prayers. He had a massive stroke and now he cannot speak, and has other limitations. Please keep Steve Mock also in your prayers, and pray for his wife Josse for strength and blessings and good health.
Pray for three women of God in Canada who need healing, Lynda, Sandy and Joanne.
I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to visit here do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.
Please pray for Netivyah and for the good work that Netivyah is doing in Israel and around the world.
We need more workers because of the challenges and needs and opportunities to bless the King Yeshua and His Kingdom down here on Earth and bless the poor people of Jerusalem and produce more materials, books, and magazines.
