토라 포션은 파라샷 나소, 민수기 4:21~7:89입니다. 선지서에서 읽는 부분(하프타라)은 사사기 13:2-25, 신약성경에서 읽는 부분은 사도행전 21:17-26입니다.
민수기에서의 토라 포션은 오늘날 우리에게 중요한 가르침이 좀 있습니다: 1. 이 토라 포션에서 제사장과 레위인을 계수하는 것(인구조사)은 아주 흥미롭고 이스라엘의 주 하나님을 더 잘 이해하게 해주는 거룩한 계시입니다. 제사장과 레위인들 각 가족의 수를 계수한 다음 우리는 이 인구조사의 이유를 알게 됩니다: “여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되 보라 내가 이스라엘 자손 중에서 레위인을 택하여 이스라엘 자손 중에 태를 열어 태어난 모든 자를 대신하게 하였은즉 레위인은 내 것이라 처음 태어난 자는 다 내 것임은 내가 애굽 땅에서 그 처음 태어난 자를 다 죽이던 날에 이스라엘의 처음 태어난 자는 사람이나 짐승을 다 거룩하게 구별하였음이니 그들은 내 것이 될 것임이니라 나는 여호와이니라.” – 민수기 3:11-13 a. 여기에서 우리에게 있는 것은 극히 흥미로우면서도 대부분의 기독교인들이 극히 무시하는 것입니다. 주님께서는 애굽에서의 마지막 열 번째 재앙에서 이스라엘을 구하셨습니다. 애굽의 처음 난 자들은 주님의 손에 죽었습니다. 이제 하나님께서 모세와 아론에게 레위 지파 남자들을 계수하고 그들을 주님을 섬기는 일을 위해 성별하라고 명하십니다. 제사장과 레위인 각 사람은 애굽에서 열 번째 재앙에 죽었을 장자를 대속할 것입니다. 이것이 레위지파 남자들과 아론의 아들들을 특별히 계수한 목적입니다. b. 애굽에서 열 번째 재앙에 죽었을 장자가 더 많았기 때문에 이스라엘의 모든 장자는 애굽에서 죽었을 장자의 수를 맞추기 위해 은 다섯 세겔로 대속되어야 했습니다. c. 우리는 이것에서 주님과 그분의 정의감과 공의에 대해 뭘 배웁니까? 일단 사람이 뭔가를 의심하면 그가 잘못이라든가 그가 옳다든가 입증하는 것이 아주 힘듭니다. 이것은 가족 간에 특히 더 그렇습니다. 남편이든 아내든 그들의 의심으로부터 들어올려 줄 법의학적 증거는 없습니다. 주님께서는 민수기 5장에 쓴 물의 죄인판별법 혹은 시기의 죄인판별법이라고 묘사되고 처방된 제도를 고안하셨습니다. 붉은 송아지 재(민수기 19장)를 물에 섞어 여인이 그 물을 마십니다. 그 여인의 반응에 따라 그녀가 죄가 있는지 없는지 분명해집니다. 이것은 거짓말 탐지기와 같은 원리로 작동하는 아주 흥미로운 심리학적 테스트입니다. 저는 이 이야기가 매력적이라고 생각합니다. 어떤 사람들은 이것이 “마법” 혹은 “사술”이라고 말할지 모르지만 저는 이 경우에 대한 하나님의 가르침이 극히 현대적이고 흥미롭다고 생각합니다. 이것은 심리학을 이용하여 사람의 마음 속 감정과 숨긴 감정을 불러내어 그것을 표면으로 꺼내는 것입니다. 3. 나실인의 법(민수기 6:1-21)은 나실인에 대한 법을 정한 것입니다. 성경에서 가장 유명한 나실인은 사사 중 한 명이었던 삼손입니다(사사기 13:2–24). 그는 천사가 그의 어머니에게 그녀가 잉태할 것이고 그녀의 아들은 포도주를 마셔도 안 되고 심지어 포도주스도 마시면 안 되며 머리카락도 자르면 안 되는 특별한 생활방식을 가진 나실인이 될 것이라고 알려준 아주 흥미로운 이야기가 있는 사사였습니다. 삼손의 아버지 마노아는 천사가 그의 아내에게 먼저 와서 말한 것이 기쁘지 않았습니다. 그래서 그는 천사에게 그에게 직접 와서 그 소식을 전해줄 것을 요구했습니다. 그래서 주의 천사가 그에 따라 마노아에게 직접 와서 말하여 그가 삼손의 어머니에게 전해준 메시지를 확인해주었습니다. 이 이야기에는 주의 천사가 예슈아의 어머니 마리아에게 전한 수태고지와 흥미로운 유사점이 아주 많이 있습니다. 삼손은 나실인으로 나고 자랐고 블레셋의 기생 때문에 몰락하기 전까지 머리를 자르지 않았습니다. 그녀는 그를 속여 술을 마시게 하고 그의 힘의 원천이었던 머리카락을 잘랐습니다. 토라에는 나머지 성경과 특히 신약을 이해하는 데에 중요한 배경 정보가 가득합니다. 이번 안식일에 선지서에서 읽는 부분은 삼손과 연관되어 있습니다. 신약성경에서 읽는 부분은 사도행전 21:17-26입니다. 바울과 유대인이 아닌 일곱 제자들은 오순절(샤부옷, 칠칠절)을 지키러 예루살렘에 도착했습니다. 그들이 예루살렘에 도착했을 때 예루살렘의 신실한 공동체의 지도자 대표단이 성문 입구에서 그들에게 인사하러 옵니다. 바울과 제자들에게 인사하러 온 주요 인물들 중에는 예슈아의 아우 야고보도 있었습니다. 바울은 야고보에게 그가 소아시아와 그리스의 이방인 중에서 얻은 큰 성공을 말합니다. 야고보는 바울에게 다음과 같이 말합니다: “그들이 듣고 하나님께 영광을 돌리고 바울더러 이르되 형제여 그대도 보는 바에 유대인 중에 믿는 자 수만 명이 있으니 다 율법에 열성을 가진 자라” – 사도행전 21:20 이것은 대부분의 기독교인들에게는 놀라운 계시입니다. 바울과 제자들에게 인사하러 온 야고보와 대표단은 바울에게 예슈아를 “믿으며” 계속 토라에 열심인 유대인이 수만 명이 있다고 말합니다. 이것은 주후 4세기 초 이후로 기독교회들이 무시해온 아주 중요한 정보입니다. 이것은 삭제될 수 없었습니다! 이것은 쉬쉬할 수도 숨겨질 수도 없었지만 지도자들과 목사들과 장로들과 추기경들과 교황들에 의해 악의적으로 무시될 수는 있었습니다. 이 본문의 함의는 기독교 역사에 아주 지대한 영향을 가져옵니다. 성경이 이 본문에서 우리에게 드러내는 이 정보는 역사적인 콘스탄틴 이후 교회와 그 모든 딸들(개신교회들)이 계획적 고의적으로 하나님의 말씀을 왜곡했음을 입증합니다. 그들이 이 성경 말씀을 사실이라고 인정했다면 유대인들이 유월절을 지키고 코셔 음식을 먹고 싶어 한다는 이유로 수만 명의 유대인을 산 채로 화형했던 스페인 및 포르투갈 종교재판은 있을 수 없었을 것입니다. 저는 이 이슈로 계속 해갈 수도 있겠지만, 잠자코 있으며 여러분께 여러분의 마음을 새롭게 하여 하나님의 말씀에 집중하도록 부탁드리겠습니다. 이스라엘 상황은 아마 지난 35년 중에 가장 심각하고 이스라엘 국민의 안녕을 가장 위협하는 것일 것입니다. 지난 수십 년 동안 가자지구를 점령하고 있는 테러 조직 하마스는 이스라엘 아랍 마을들에 침투하여 폭행을 하고 민간인과 무고한 유대인들에게 증오 범죄를 저지르도록 청소년들을 끌어갈 수 있었습니다. 이것은 신약성경에 룻다라고 하는 로드 시에서 시작되었습니다. 로드는 우리의 귀한 아랍 형제자매들이 사는 도시로, 제가 1972년에 아랍 기독교인들에게 하나님의 말씀을 가르치기 시작했던 곳입니다. 로드는 지난 60년 동안 유대인과 아랍인의 공존의 모델이었습니다. 로드의 아랍 형제자매들은 정규 유대인 학교를 다녔습니다. 그들의 가족은 이스라엘 은행과 관공서에서 일하고, 약사, 간호사, 의사, 회계사무원, 사업가, 식료품점 주인입니다. 지금은 테러 조직 하마스에 부추겨진 16세에서 30세 사이의 수천의 아랍 젊은이들이 거리로 나가 유대인 이웃이 소유한 자동차를 불태우고 유대인 소유의 가게들을 불태우고 유대인들에게 린치를 가하고 그들을 때려 죽였습니다. 그러자 유대인 젊은이들이 똑같이 하기 시작하여 한 아랍인 운전사를 그의 차에서 끌어내어 그를 두들겨 팼습니다. 같은 건물 이웃이었던 관계가 깨져 서로에게 등을 돌리게 되었습니다. 이웃지간에 미움과 적의가 생겼습니다. 이것은 이 땅의 유대인과 아랍인 사이에 해를 입게 된 가장 슬픈 일 중 하나입니다. 더 큰 그림은 가자지구의 전쟁입니다. 가자지구에서 하마스에 의해 3,000발이 넘는 로켓포와 미사일이 네게브 광야 브엘셰바에서부터 텔아비브 북쪽 해안가 헤르즐리야에 이르기까지 모든 마을과 키부츠와 중소도시와 대도시에 발사되었습니다. 이 로켓포에 수백 채의 개인 집이 손상되었고, 무고한 유대인 및 아랍인 시민이 이 로켓포와 미사일에 죽었습니다. 개인 집들과 학교, 유치원, 가게가 500 파운드의, 일부는 500 파운드가 넘는 폭발물을 탑재한 아주 육중한 이 미사일에 의해 직접 공격을 받았습니다. 물론 이스라엘은 빈둥거리고만 있지 않았습니다. 저희 공군은 외과 수술용 칼의 정밀함으로 인도되는 아주 정밀한 폭탄으로 최고위층 하마스 지도자들의 집 몇 곳을 폭격했습니다. 이스라엘은 저들이 가자 “지하철”이라고 부르는 지하 터널 수 마일을 목표로 하여 폭격했습니다. 또한, 이스라엘은 테러 조직의 명령 및 통제 센터를 목표로 했습니다. 이 군사 시설은 고층 아파트 건물에 입주해 있었습니다. 종종 이런 고층 건물에는 상업용 사무실과 심지어 연합통신과 다른 국제 언론사 같은 국제 미디어들이 입주해 있습니다. 이스라엘 공군의 폭격으로 가자지구의 스카이라인이 바뀌었습니다. 특출한 점 한 가지는 이스라엘은 민간인에게 폭격하지 않도록 할 수 있는 모든 일을 한다는 점입니다. 군사적 목표와 민간인 가옥이 섞여 있는 건물이 있는 경우, 군인이 아닌 주민들은 먼저 전화로 경고를 받습니다. 그들이 떠나기를 거절하면 사람들을 강제로 소개하기 위해 저위력 무기나 폭탄을 채운 시멘트로 건물 옥상을 치는 등 특수한 전술이 사용됩니다. 그 후에 진짜 폭탄을 투하하면 건물이 붕괴됩니다. 폭격 받은 통신 센터 안의 외국 언론 지역방송국 전 직원이 경고를 받고 외국인 통신원이나 현지 하청 고용인의 목숨을 잃는 일을 피했던 것처럼 말입니다. 이스라엘은 지금, 전에는 우리 우방이라고 말했으나 위선적인 정치적 이해득실에 따라 이스라엘로 하여금 폭격을 멈추게 하려고 압력을 가하는 데에 최선을 다하고 있는 유럽 및 다른 나라들의 끔찍이도 불공정하고 부정직한 대대적인 정치 공격을 받고 있습니다. 이스라엘에 폭격을 멈추게 하려고 압력을 가하는 데에 정당성이 없는 것은, 이스라엘은 하마스와 헤즈볼라의 공격과 테러로부터 자국과 국민을 방어하고 있기 때문입니다.
온 이스라엘과, 저희와, 메시아 예슈아를 따르기로 선택한 유대인 및 아랍인 우리 형제자매들을 위해 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 저희의 안전을 위해 기도해 주시고, 저희의 육체적 보호와, 하나님과 메시아 예슈아를 믿는 믿음에 근거한 저희의 영적 정신적 안정을 위해 기도해 주십시오.
이스라엘에 있는 저희와 함께 기도해 주시고 저희 편에 서 주십시오! 하나님의 이 지구상에 이스라엘과 이스라엘 국민보다 더 평화를 구하는 나라는 없습니다!

The Jerusalem Prayer List – May 20, 2021

The reading of the Torah is from Parashat Naso, Numbers 4:21 – 7:89. From the prophets (Haftarah), it is from Judges 13:2-25. The reading from the New Testament is from Acts 21:17-26.
The Torah portion from Numbers has some important teachings for us today: 1. The numbering (taking the census) of the priests and the Levites in this Torah portion is a very interesting and a divine revelation to understand the Lord God of Israel better. After counting the numbers of each of the family of the priests and Levites we find out the reason for this census: “Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: ‘Now behold, I Myself have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of every firstborn who opens the womb among the children of Israel. Therefore, the Levites shall be Mine, because all the firstborn are Mine. On the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified to Myself all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast. They shall be Mine: I am the Lord.’” – Numbers 3:11-13 [NKJV] a. What we have here is extremely interesting and extremely ignored by most Christians. The Lord delivered Israel in the last and tenth plague from Egypt. The firstborn of Egypt died by the hand of the Lord. Now God commands Moses and Aaron to count the men of the tribe of Levi and sanctify them for service to the Lord. Each priest and Levi will redeem the firstborn of Egypt that died in the tenth plague. This was the purpose of this special counting of the men of the tribe of Levi and the sons of Aaron. b. Because there was more Egyptian firstborn who died in the tenth plague, every firstborn in Israel had to be redeemed with the five shekels of silver in order to fulfill the number of the Egyptian firstborn who died. c. What do we learn from this about the Lord and His sense of justice and righteousness? The tenth plague that killed all the firstborn of Egypt killed innocent people in order to deliver the children of Israel from slavery and because the hardness of the heart of Pharaoh. Now, God wants to redeem those firstborn of Egypt by sanctification of the Levites and priests from the tribe of Levi, the tribe of Moses and Aaron. The Lord does this by taking away the personal choice and freedom of the sons of Aaron and the tribe of Levi, and making them servants in the Tabernacle and later in the Temple in Jerusalem. This is also the reason why every firstborn male child in Israel has to be redeemed with five shekels of silver even to this very day. d. God doesn’t suffer injustice and innocent death even when this death was necessary to free Israel from Egyptian slavery. Every injustice and every innocent wronged, will be redeemed by a life in exchange. The sons of the tribe of Levi are dedicated to the service of the Lord and by this the firstborn sons of Egypt who died in the tenth Plague, are redeemed. 2. The “sotah” is a woman whose husband is suspicious that she committed adultery. How can this issue be resolved? Once a person is suspicious of something it is very difficult to either prove him wrong or prove him right. This is especially true in the family. There is no forensic evidence that will elevate the husband or the wife from their suspicion. The Lord devised a system that is the ordeal of bitter water or ordeal of jealousy as described and prescribed in the book of Numbers chapter 5. The ashes of the red heifer (Numbers chapter 19) are mixed with water and the woman drinks from this water and according to the woman’s reaction it becomes clear if she is guilty or not. It is a very interesting psychological test that works on the same principle as a polygraph. I find this narrative fascinating and although some would say that it is “magic” or “witchcraft” – I find God’s instruction in this case extremely modern and interesting. It is the use of psychology to conjure the inside feeling and hidden emotions of a person’s heart and bring them up to the surface. 3. The Nazarite laws (Numbers 6:1-21) sets the laws of the Nazarite. The most famous Nazirite in the bible is Samson (Judges 13:2–24) one of the judges that has this very interesting story of an angel that announces to Samson’s mother that she will be pregnant and that her son will be a Nazarite, a person who will have a special life style. He will not drink wine or even grape juice or have a haircut. Manoah, Samson’s father, was not happy that the angel came to talk to his wife first. So, he demanded that the angel come to him in person and give him the news. So, the angel of the Lord complied and came to talk to Manoah in person and to confirm the message that he has given to Samson’s mother. In this story there are so many interesting parallels to the annunciation of the Angel of the Lord to Mary the mother of Yeshua. Samson was born and raised as a Nazarite and didn’t cut his hair until he fell for a Philistine barroom prostitute that deceived him and got him drunk and cut his hair, which was the source of his strength. The Torah is full of background information important for understanding the rest of the Bible, and especially understanding of the New Testament. The reading from the prophets this Shabbat is connected to Samson. The reading from the New Testament is from Acts chapter 21:17-26. Paul and seven non-Jewish disciples arrive in Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost (Shavuot, the Feast of Weeks). Upon their arrival in Jerusalem a delegation of leaders of the community of the faithful from Jerusalem comes to greet them at the entrance to the city. Among the chief people who came to greet Paul and the disciples was Jacob (James) the brother of Yeshua. Paul tells Jacob (James) of the great success that He had among the gentiles in Asia Minor and Greece. Jacob (James) tells Paul the following: “And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord. And they said to him, ‘You see, brother, how many myriads of Jews there are who have believed, and they are all zealous for the law…’” – Acts 21:20 [NKJV] This is an amazing revelation for most Christians. Jacob and the delegation that came to greet Paul and the disciples tell Paul that there are tens of thousands of Jews who “believed” in Yeshua and continue to be zealous for the Torah. This is a very important bit of information that has been ignored by the Christian churches since the early 4th Century after Christ. It can’t be deleted! It can’t be hushed and hidden, but it can be ignored malignantly by the leaders, pastors, elders, cardinals, and popes. The implications of this text are very far-reaching for Christian history. This information that the Holy Scriptures reveals to us in this text proves that the historical post-Constantinian church and all her daughters (the Protestant churches) have by design and premeditation, twisted the Word of God. If they would have affirmed this scripture, there couldn’t have been the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition that burned many tens of thousands of Jews alive because the wanted to celebrate the Passover or eat kosher food. I could go on and on with this issue, but I will hold my peace and ask you to renew your mind and focus on the Word of God. The situation in Israel is probably the most serious and threatening of the well-being of the population in Israel, in the last 35 years. The Hamas, the terrorist organization that is occupying Gaza in the last decades, has managed to infiltrate the Israeli Arab communities and drag the youth to do violence and hate crimes against civilians and the innocent Jewish population. It started in the city of Lod, Lydda, in the New Testament. Lod is a city where our dear Arab brothers and sisters live and a place where I started to teach Arab Christians the Word of God in 1972 Lod was a model of coexistence between Jews and Arabs for the last 60 years. The Arab brothers and sisters in Lod attended the regular Jewish schools. Their families work in Israeli banks and government offices, pharmacists, nurses, doctors, bookkeepers, businessman, and grocery store owners. Now, inspired by the Hamas terrorist organization, thousands of Arab young people between the ages of 16 to 30 went out on the streets burning cars owned by Jewish neighbors, burning shops owned by Jews, lynching Jews and beating them to death. Then Jewish young men started do to the same to an Arab driver and dragged him out of his car and proceeded to beat him up. There is a breakdown of relationships with neighbors from the same building turned against each other. Hate and enmity have taken the place of neighborly relationships. This is one of the saddest things that has been damaged in the relationship between Jews and Arabs in this land. The bigger picture is the war in Gaza and the 3000+ rockets and missiles that have been launched from Gaza, by the Hamas on every village, kibbutz, town, and city from Beer-Sheva in the Negev Desert to Herzliya on the seacoast north of Tel-Aviv. There are hundreds of private homes that have been damaged by these rockets, innocent citizens, both Jews and Arabs, have been killed by these missiles and rockets. Private houses and schools, kindergartens, and shops, have suffered direct hits by these very heavy missiles that are loaded with 500 pounds of explosives, and some even more than 500 pounds of explosives. Israel of course hasn't sat twiddling its thumbs. Our air force bombs with very precise bombs guided with the precision of a surgical knife, bombing the homes of some of the top Hamas leaders. Israel targeted the miles and miles of underground tunnels that they called the Gaza “Metro” and bombed them. Also, Israel targeted command and control centers of the terrorist organization. These military installations were housed in highrise apartment buildings. Often these highrise buildings had civilian business offices even international media like the AP and other international media companies. The skyline of Gaza has been changed by the bombings of the Israeli air force. One thing that is outstanding is that Israel does everything possible not to bomb civilian population and if there are buildings that have mixed military targets with civilian homes, nonmilitary residents are first warned by phone and if they still refuse to leave a special tactic is used to knock on the roof of the building with low yield armament or cement filled bombs to force the people to evacuate before the real bombs are dropped and the buildings collapse. Just as the entire staff of the foreign media outlets in the communication center that was bombed were warned avoiding any loss of life of foreign correspondents or local contract employees. Israel is now under a terrible unjust and unfair blitz of political attacks by European and other countries that have been and have formerly stated that they are our friends, but hypocritical political interests are doing their best to pressure Israel to stop the bombings. There is no justification for pressuring Israel to stop, because Israel is defending itself and its citizens from the aggression and terrorism of Hamas and the Hezbollah.
Please pray for all of Israel and pray for us and our brothers and sisters both the Jews and the Arabs who have chosen to follow the Messiah Yeshua. Pray for our safety and pray for our protection physically and for our spiritual and mental stability based on faith in God and in Yeshua the Messiah.
Pray and stand with us in Israel! There is no nation on the face of God’s world that seeks peace more than Israel and Israel’s citizens!
Pray and support Netivyah during these very hard times. The opportunities and the need to do good and bless and feed and support the population of Israel has increased many fold during these difficult days in Israel.
India and Brazil are still very much in serious trouble with the coronavirus situation. We need to continue to pray for India and Brazil and especially for our dear brothers and sisters in these two countries.
I received a special prayer request from our dear brother Isaac in Chennai, India. Brother Isaac asked us to pray especially for sister Sheela Stephen. Sister Sheela’s lungs are in serious need of oxygen, and right now oxygen is in short supply for the coronavirus patients. We pray that You Lord, save our brothers and sisters who have the coronavirus. We pray that you will provide the protection and the medical care that they need to survive and continue to praise You and glorify Your name.
Please continue to pray for Marcia. She has definitely slowed down significantly. She has very little energy and she rests most of the day. I am praying and believing in the Lord’s grace for healing Marcia and restoring her ability to function and travel with me and to be a blessing to the local congregation and community and to our brothers and friends around the world. Pray for Marcia, please!
Pray also for me. My left eye surgery is considered a great success by the doctors. They are very proud of themselves for the great work that they have done on my blind eye. They will be writing medical papers in some of the most prestigious medical magazines in the world.
Right now, I do see something, but it is like the description of the blind man whom Yeshua healed. He said, “I see people walking like trees.” I see now with my left eye like through a thick fog, but the doctors say that this situation will improve with time. This is for sure a true statement. In heaven I will have two good eyes that will see the visible and the invisible.
Our dear brother Yudah Chamero has finally returned home from Columbia. Yudah’s father is in Columbia contending with liver cancer. Please continue to pray for Yudah’s father.
Keep praying for the Rosenfeld family, the young and the old.
Please pray for a dear brother, Malcolm Thomas King, from the UK. Malcolm is already a week in hospital in critical condition. I don’t have any new information from Malcolm and his family.

Also we need your prayers and help to continue to do the Lord's work with the youth in Jerusalem, and with the publication of the “Teaching from Zion” Magazine that goes around the world in about 4000 issues and gives people a different perspective of the life and practices of the Bible and the Early Church in Israel.
Printing several thousands of issues of the Teaching from Zion Magazine is costly. It costs several thousands of dollars to edit and do the graphics and to print and to mail. We are not charging money for every service and teaching that we do around the world. We have our M.O. from the very beginning of Netivyah in the year 1980, we want to share the Lord’s goodness free of charge. We are teaching around the world, and now we are doing it through modern technology and feeding spiritual truths and teachings. Just a few hours ago, I gave a teaching of nearly three hours to leaders from Italy. All our teachings both at home and around the world are carried out free-of-charge for those who receive them, but at high cost to Netivyah for the production and printing of these valuable teachings.
The Hamotzi program for feeding the needy of Jerusalem is ongoing and has not stopped during most of the coronavirus lockdown and quarantine. The number of needy people who come to receive food from our program has increased and overall need has increased.
Please pray for Netivyah and for the Netivyah leadership and find ways to partner and participate in the great blessing that the ministry of Netivyah is here in Israel and also around the world. Please pray and seek ways to partner and contribute financially for the Lord’s work in Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.

Our grandson Joseph also needs prayer to be able to get into college with proper scholarships. Please lift Barry our son and his family, Beth, and Joey our grandson to be protected and spared any contact and infection of the coronavirus. Marcia’s mother June is 91 years old and her health is failing.

We have brothers and sisters in Israel and in China and I ask you to pray for their safety and protection: Deborah Ruth, Lydia, Sima, Laurel S., Naomi, Orna, David S., Daniel, Dalia D., Ayla, Hillel, Elhanan, Tony, Dr. Song, and his wife Sister Harriet Kim, Michael Knezevich, Ismael Alves, Asher Gabriel, M. Ahuva. Please pray for a dear brother who is well into his 90’s and lost his wife a couple of weeks ago. His name is Dov H. Please keep in your prayers a dear sister who attends our congregation in Jerusalem. Her name is Hadassah and she just had cancer surgery. Pray for Hadassah for a full recovery and remission from any cancer in her body.
Pray for Israel. We are going through terrible riots and violence in the streets of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv and other places around the country. These riots are motivated by the fact that much of the populace of Israel does not understand what the government is doing in relationship to the coronavirus pandemic.
I would like a new prayer request for a dear brother Yehuda Hochman who lives in the Negev Desert. Yehuda has to receive Dialysis treatment several times per week.
From our congregation in Jerusalem, we ask you to join us in prayer for the following dear brothers and sisters: Gary, Melanie, Sarit, Gabriela, Ahuva, Leah, Ilana, Hannah, young Gabriela, Jonathan B. and his wife Aviva and their new baby.
Pray for some dear friends, Rabbi Salt, and his family and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings.
I would like to ask you to pray about your part in supporting Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.
Second, I would like for you who stand with us in prayer and financially to do your absolute best to stay on board with us and communicate. We realize that times will be hard for several years, but we also realize that God has chosen and blessed you for such a time as this.
Third, please pray for a new project that we are starting in Israel in partnership with the Houses for Healing ministry from Abilene, Texas.
Please pray for our two grandchildren. They are both graduating in a few weeks from high school. They are both facing this important change in their lives. Noam our granddaughter also has her 18th birthday on May 1st. This is a very big day for Noam. She will be free from high school and also from other obligations and be privileged to make her own decisions and choices in life. Pray for Noam on this major crossroad of life for her and ask the Lord to bless Noam and to give her clear direction and guidance for what is good and right and holy in her life.
Both Noam and Joseph, our two grandchildren, are extremely talented and good students. Both are “A” students and excellent young people, but both need divine protection and guidance to make good and smart and right choices for life.
When I was 18 years old and cut off from my family because of my faith in the Messiah, I had no one on my side and no one to guide me. The Lord’s providential leading and guidance was the only guide that I had. I praise the Lord for His goodness and direction in my life.
I pray that both Joseph and Noam will have such divine strength and vision for their own future that only right and good choices will be their gift from the Almighty God of Israel and Yeshua our Lord.
I wish all of you, who stand with Israel and who pray for Jerusalem, the best of the Lord’s blessings and the fulfillment of all His promises to His faithful children. Those who hear God and do His will are the ones who are called wise! Those who only hear His word and don’t do it are called foolish! Let us all strive to be wise and never foolish! The best is yet to come!
