예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2025년 8월 22일

신명기는 토라(모세오경)의 마지막 책, 성경의 다섯 번째 책입니다. 사실, 이 책은 출애굽하여 홍해를 마른 땅으로 건넌 이스라엘 민족에게 한 모세의 마지막 설교를 기록한 책입니다. 우리는 천천히 그러나 확실히 토라 포션 읽기 한 회차의 끝으로 다가가고 있습니다. 우리는 신약성경에 이 토라 포션을 읽는 전통이 언급되어 있기 때문에 이 전통이 오래된 것이라는 것을 압니다. 사도들도 이를 행했고, 사도행전 15장에는 예슈아의 비-유대인 제자들에게 안식일에 회당에 가서 하나님의 말씀이 낭독되는 것을 들으라고 강력히 권하고 있는 것이 언급되어 있습니다. 물론, 예슈아와 사도들의 명령 대부분과 마찬가지로, 이것도 기독교권 대다수가 간과하고 있습니다. 그렇습니다.

이번 안식일 토라 포션은 르에인데요, “보라!”라는 뜻입니다. 읽는 부분은 신명기 11:26–16:17입니다.

아래는 만나 이야기가 요한복음 6장의 예슈아와 어떻게 호응하는지 요약한 것입니다:

광야의 만나 이야기는 슈퍼마켓 탄생과 비견될 수 있습니다.

하나님께 대한 불평이 작용했습니다. 시내광야에 있는 이스라엘 백성은 배가 고팠습니다. 그들은 굶주릴 뿐만 아니라, 그들이 애굽 노예 시절에 먹던 고난의 빵(고난의 떡)이 그리웠습니다. 오랜 세월 애굽에서 핍박받으며 짓밟힌 노예였지만, 그들은 결코 불평하는 것을 잊는 법이 없었습니다. 하나님께서는 그들의 불평과 아플 정도로 그리워하는 애굽의 빵에 대한 그리움을 들으셨습니다.

하나님께서는 그들의 배고픔을 만족시킬 다른 맛의 빵을 공급하셨습니다. (우리가 이 기도 목록의 가르침을 읽어 내려가다 보면 이것을 보게 될 것입니다.) 만나의 맛에 대한 토라의 묘사는 한 가지 이상인데요, 거기에서 우리는 만나는 한 가지 이상의 맛이 나고, 그들이 요구한 바람직한 맛이었다고 추론할 수 있습니다. 만나는 매일 아침 신선하게 거둘 수 있었고, 사용되지 않으면 상했습니다.

하늘에서 내린 만나는 특히 개인적이었습니다. 만나를 먹는 각 사람이 자기 자신과 그 가족에게 충분할 만큼 받았습니다. 내일 먹을 것을 남겨둘 수는 없었습니다. 이 점이 아주 중요합니다. 우리는 주기도문에서 “오늘날 우리에게 일용할 양식을 주옵시고” 기도합니다. 오늘날까지 우리는 하나님께, 사람들의 분석에 따른 12개 내지 13개의 빵이 아닌, 일용할 양식을 구합니다. 이것만으로도 우리의 믿음이 이 물리적 세계에서 어떻게 역사하는지에 대한 훌륭한 교훈이 됩니다. 우리의 불안은 전형적입니다. 요즘과 같은 상황에 우리의 창고를 늘리고 빵을 필요 이상으로 쟁이는 것은 연약한 믿음의 한 예입니다. 우리는 우리가 온갖 종류의 물리적 빵(양식)으로 우리의 창고를 가득 채우면 안심되고 안전하며 우리의 삶이 좀 더 쉬워지고 좀 더 안전해질 거라고 잘못 믿습니다.

이번 안식일에 읽는 세 본문은 아주 분명합니다: 이 세상에서 우리에게 있는 유일한 안전보장과 안전은 우리의 생명을 구원하시는 메시아를 믿는 믿음뿐이라는 것입니다. 너무도 빨리 상하여 하루만 소용되는 빵이 아닌, 예슈아와 그분의 약속들이 우리의 안전보장이어야 합니다. 만나 이야기는 우리의 필요에 대한 하나님의 공급하심에 대한 이야기일 뿐만 아니라, 하나님의 축복과 공급이 어떻게 역사하는지에 대한 일종의 비유이기도 합니다. 하나님의 축복과 공급은 하늘에서 옵니다! 우리가 그것들을 얻기 위해 힘쓰고 하늘로부터 내리는 이 축복들을 거두어야 하기는 하지만요.

우리는 축복들을 쓰되, 지금 써야 합니다! 내일 무슨 일이 생길까 두려워하고 불안해 하여 쟁이고 모아두는 것은 도움이 되지 않습니다. 하나님의 축복은 지금 오늘을 위한 것입니다. 우리는 하루하루 새 날 하늘에서 내리는 새로운 축복을 쓰고 나누는 것입니다. 우리가 만나를 저장하여 내일을 위해 남겨둔다면, 신선함과 맛은 사라지고 거기에 곰팡이가 생긴 것을 발견하게 될 것입니다.

만나에 관한 그 다음 기적은 그것이 각 사람에게 각기 다른 맛이 난다는 것입니다. 한 사람이 만나를 먹으면 그 사람에게는 비프 샌드위치 같은 맛이 납니다! 또 다른 사람은 같은 시각 같은 식탁에 앉아 먹었는데, 그 사람에게는 시퐁 소스를 곁들인 생선 같은 맛이 납니다. 하나님의 선물은 우리 각 사람에게 맞춘 것으로, 다른 사람에게 양도될 수 없습니다.

만나에 관해 가장 중요한 것은 그것을 오늘 지금 써야 한다는 것, 하나님의 긍휼과 축복은 다른 사람들에게 나눠야 한다는 것입니다. 저는 긍정적이 되려고 굉장히 노력하는 것을 사죄합니다. 어떤 사람들은 제가 부정적인 것을 이해하실지도 모르겠습니다. 저는 거의 65년을 이스라엘의 하나님과 세상의 구세주 유대인 메시아와 동행해온 경험과 지식에서 말씀드리는 것입니다. 저는 모세가 그의 형 아론과 그의 누이 미리암이 그를 비난했을 때 그랬던 것처럼 “가난한 부자”와 “부유한 가난뱅이” 형제자매님들의 비난을 털어내는 것을 배웠습니다. 저는 하나님의 손이 제 원수들과, 두려움 없이 자유롭게 주님과 동행하는 기쁨과 자유의 원수들을 손봐주는 것을 보아왔습니다.

“저 장미꽃 위에 이슬 아직 맺혀있는 그 때에 귀에 은은히 소리 들리니 주 음성 분명하다 주가 나와 동행을 하면서 나를 친구 삼으셨네 우리 서로 받은 그 기쁨은 알 사람이 없도다 …”

저는 여러분이 이 찬송가를 아시기를 바랍니다. 이 찬송가는 복된 추억이 있는 제 은사이자 귀한 형제님이었던 어니스트 스튜어트 형제님이 가장 좋아하던 찬송가였습니다. 이 곡은 제 귀한 아내 마르시아가 가장 좋아하던 곡 중 하나이기도 했습니다. 마르시아가 죽어 장사지낸 후 지금 제 인생 처음으로 혼자 정원을 거니는 것이 아주 힘듭니다. 며칠만 있으면, 저는 이스라엘에 있는 제 집으로 돌아갑니다. 매일 아침 저는 일찍 일어나서 제 아내 마르시아가 아주 좋아했던 이슬이 맺혀 반짝이던 붉은색, 노란색, 흰색, 분홍색 장미를 볼 계획입니다. 저는 천국에 대한 갈망과, 광야의 만나와 장미꽃에 맺힌 이슬에 대한 그리움과, 예슈아와, 바울과, 지상에서 가장 고도가 낮지만 원수를 이긴 하나님의 승리에 있어서는 가장 높은 곳인 여리고의 낮디 낮은 곳까지 내려오시어 거니시는 예슈아를 보기 위해 키가 작아 나무에 올라가야 했던 여리고의 키 작은 사내와 손을 잡고 거닐고픈 갈망에서 치유되고 싶지 않습니다.

만나(히브리어로 “몫/부분”이라는 뜻의 하늘로부터 내려온 선물의 이름)는 각 사람이 자기의 안전지대인 자기 집 밖으로 나가 자기 자신과 가족을 위해 기계가 아닌 손으로 거둬들이는 수고를 해야 했던 것이었습니다. 월마트 배송서비스와 기계가 있는 지금 21세기에 여러분은 여러분을 위해 이런 일을 하여 씻고 바로 먹을 수 있게 식탁에 차려놓도록 돈을 주고 가난한 사람을 고용할 수 있을 거라고 생각하실지 모르겠습니다. 아닙니다! 그 누구도 여러분을 위해 이 일을 할 수 없습니다. 여러분이 직접 해야 합니다. 이 세상과 이 세상에 있는 모든 것을 창조하신 창조주께서는 아주 개인적인 하나님이시며, 그 어떤 교회나 그 어떤 회당도 여러분을 위해 걸어가서 여러분을 위해 만나를 거둬들이거나, 여러분을 위해 가난한 사람들에게 자선기금을 내주거나, 여러분 대신 선한 사역을 후원할 수는 없습니다!

친애하는 형제자매님들, “하루는 짧고 일꾼은 적습니다.” 모든 종을 울리라고 부탁하지 마십시오. 종은 여러분을 위해 울립니다!

시내광야에서 하나님의 자녀 이스라엘을 위해 하나님께서 공급하신 이야기를 읽어보십시오. 또 그들이 목말라 물이 필요할 때 하나님께서 광야에서 그들에게 두 번 공급하신 것도 기억하십시오. 서로 다른 방식으로 두 번 공급받았습니다. 한 번은 모세가 목자 지팡이로 반석을 쳤고 또 한 번은 반석을 치지 않고 말을 했습니다.

하나님의 지시에 주의를 기울이시기 바랍니다. 그 지시는 특별히 여러분에게 맞춰져 있을지 모릅니다. 다른 사람들이 어떻게 하는지, 혹은 그들이 지금 하고 있는 일을 왜 하고 있는지를 따라 하지 마십시오. 하나님께서 그분의 말씀에서 여러분에게 하시는 말씀, 혹은 광야에서 들리는 세미한 음성에만 주의를 기울이십시오. 하나님께서 지금 여러분에게 주시는 축복의 부(富)를 쟁여두지 마십시오! 내일 여러분의 부(富)에 좀 먹고 녹이 슬지도 모릅니다!

이번 주 토라 포션을 읽으시기 바랍니다. (이 예루살렘 기도 목록 제일 앞을 참고하십시오.) 여러분 자신이 시내광야에서 각종 먹을 것과 마실 것을 갈망하며 굶주리고 있다고 생각하고, 히브리 민족의 예에서 지금 뭘 해야 하고 뭘 하지 말아야 하는지에 대해 교훈을 얻으시기 바랍니다! 그리고 광야의 만나 이야기에서 오늘 여러분과 여러분의 가족을 위해 축복이었던 것이 내일이면 더 이상 여러분에게 축복이 아닌 다른 것으로 바뀔 수 있다는 것을 기억하시기 바랍니다.

The book of Deuteronomy is the last book of the Torah, the fifth book in the Bible. In truth, it is a book that records the last speech of Moses to the nation of Israel that came out of Egypt and crossed the Red Sea on dry land. We are slowly but surely approaching the end of the reading cycle of the Torah portions. We know that this tradition is old because of the mention of this tradition in the New Testament. The Apostles practiced it, and it is mentioned as a strong recommendation in Acts 15 as a recommendation for the non-Jewish disciples of Yeshua to go on the Sabbath to the synagogue to hear the word of God read. This, of course, like most of the commandments of the Apostles and of Yeshua, is ignored by the majority of the Christian world. O.K.

The name of this Shabbat's reading of the Torah is Re'eh, meaning "SEE!" The readings are from Deuteronomy 11:26–16:17.

Here is a brief summary of how the story of the manna corresponds to Yeshua in John 6:

The story of the manna in the wilderness is a parable for the generation of the supermarkets.

Complaining to God works. The people of Israel in the Sinai wilderness were hungry. They were not only starved, but they missed the bread of affliction that they had in Egyptian slavery. Even as downtrodden slaves being persecuted in Egypt for many years, they never forgot to complain. God hears their complaints and their painful hunger for Egyptian bread.

God provides them with bread that fulfills their hunger with a bread that changes its taste. (We will see this down the road in the teaching.) The Torah description of the taste of the manna has more than one expression, and from there we can deduce that the manna had more than one taste, adjusting itself to the desired taste that they asked for. The manna was collected fresh every morning and every day, and if not used, it spoiled.

The manna from heaven was specifically personal; each person who ate the manna received just enough for himself and his family. You could not hold out for another day. This point is essential. We pray the Lord's Prayer and say: "Give us today our daily bread!" Even today, we are asking God for our daily bread, not 12 or 13 breads in their analysis. Alone, this is an excellent lesson on how our faith works in this physical world. Our insecurities are classic. Extending our storage and holding more bread than we need under these circumstances is an example of the weakness of faith. We falsely believe that if we fill our storage full of physical bread in all its forms, we will be secure and safe and make our lives easier and more secure.

Our three readings on this Shabbat are so clear: The only security and safety that we have in this world is our trust in our life-saving Messiah. Yeshua and His promises must be our security and not the bread that spoiled so fast and is suitable for one day only. The story of the manna is not only a story of God's provision for our needs, but it is also a kind of parable of how God's blessings and provision work. They come from heaven! Even if we have to work for them and gather these blessings from heaven.

We have to use the blessings, and use them now! Hoarding them and collecting them based on fear and insecurity about what may happen tomorrow doesn't help. God's blessings are for now and for today. We put them to use and share them each day: a new day and a new blessing from heaven. If we bank the manna and save it for tomorrow, we find out that it will have mold on it, and the freshness and taste are gone.

The next miracle about manna is that it tastes different for each individual. One person eats the manna and it tastes to him like a beef sandwich! Another person eats on the same table at the same time, and for him, the manna tastes like fish in chiffon sauce. The gifts of God are tailored specifically for each one of us, and they can not be transferred to others.

The most important thing about the manna is to use it now, today, and share God's mercy and blessings with others. I apologize for trying hard to be positive, and some might understand me to be negative. From nearly 65 years of walking with the God of Israel and with the Jewish Messiah and savior of the world, I speak from experience and knowledge. I have learned to brush off the criticism of "poor rich" and "rich poor" brothers and sisters like Moses did when his brother Aaron and his sister Miriam criticized him. I have seen the hands of God take care of my enemies and the enemies of freedom and joy of walking with the Lord free and without fear.

"I walk in the garden alone and the dew is still on the roses and He walks with me and He talks with me… "

I hope you know this song. It was the favorite song of my teacher and dear brother, Ernest Stewart, of blessed memory. The same song was also one of my dear Marcia's favorite songs. Now after Marcia's death and burial and for the first time in my life with great difficulty I too am walking in the garden alone. In a few days , I will return to my home in Israel. Every morning, I plan to get up early and see the roses that my wife , Marcia, loved so much, with the dew shining and glittering on the roses, red, yellow, white, and even pink. I don't want to be healed from this longing for heaven and for the memory of the manna in the desert and the dew on the Roses and walking hand in hand (not literally – but real) with Yeshua and Paul and the short guy in Jericho who had to climb a tree to see Yeshua walking in the streets of that city that is as low down to the lowest place on the surface of this earth and the highest place in God's victory over the enemy.

Manna – the name of that heavenly gift in the Hebrew language means "portion" – and each one went out of his home, out of his comfort zone, and had to work gathering the manna by hand and not by machine for himself and his family. Now, in the 21st century, with the machines and with Walmart deliveries, you might think that with your money, you can hire some poor person to do this work for you and bring it washed and ready to eat right to your table. NO! No one else can do it for you, you have to do it by yourself. The creator of this world, with everything that is in this world, is a very personal God, and no church or synagogue can do the walk for you, or gather the manna for you, or give charity to the poor for you, or support a good ministry in your place!

Dear brothers and sisters, "the day is short and the laborers are few," and don't ask for the whole bell tolls – it tolls for you!

Read the text of the story of God's provision in the desert of Sinai for His children of Israel. Please also remember that when they were thirsty and needed water twice, God provided them with water in the desert. Twice provided and in two different ways, once Moses hit the rock with his shepherd's staff and the second time he talked to it and didn't hit the rock.

Please pay attention to God's instructions. They might be tailored especially for you. Please don't copy what others are doing or why they are doing what they are doing. Pay attention only to what God is speaking to you from His Word or a small voice in the wilderness. Don't hoard the wealth of blessings that God is Blessing you now! Tomorrow, your wealth might have worms and turn green!

Please read our Torah reading (look it up at the top of this message). Put yourself in the Sinai Desert, thirsty and hungry for a variety of food and drink, and learn from the examples of the Hebrew nation of what to do now and what not to do now! And please remember from the story of the manna in the wilderness, what is a blessing today for you and your family, tomorrow can no longer be a blessing for you, it can turn to something else.

Rejoice in the Lord for His mercy endures forever, but not always automatically for you. The answer is in our own hands. He, the great I-AM, gives and puts on the table for us to take and eat, but he doesn't feed us manna like babies. The manna was on the ground, not packaged in plastic boxes. Ready to open and eat. Work for the night is coming, and the evil one is there around the corner waiting for us to make the mistake and hoard more than our daily bread because it will all turn to worms.

Please pray for Israel – Israel is in deep trouble and needs God's hand to move like in the days of Elijah!

 new Joseph Shulam is traveling on Wed Aug 20 back to Jerusalem. Please pray for safe travels and for strength to accomplish all he plans. He has to deal with all the bureaucracy of mom's death overseas.

 Ilana Ahijervie is a dear sister who is 99 years old and suffering from memory problems.

 Please pray for our dear sister, Lea Kurkey.

 Pray for Adam’s father and mother, Barry and Dalia. They have some health problems and challenges.

 Pray for Miriam a dear sister old age dementia.

 I visited Mauno Lemponen and he is in good spirits. He shares that I can feel the love and prayers from around the world in his daily life. He has been diagnosed with cancer in advanced stages. We are asking for Gods Will to be done, giving him healthy days with family—prayers for Hilka, Miika, and Ester, who support each other.

 Cynthia M asked that you for praying for her health. She has neutropenia and chronic asthma and I has been undergoing biological treatment with injections every two weeks since 2021 so I ask you to pray for better results and better health conditions as the symptoms, respiratory infections, medications and injections make me very tired every day.

In Ethiopia:

 Diu G. has been sick with meningitis and he and his family are all in need of prayers for strength and healing to help him.

In Brazil:

 Ismael V ask for prayers for his parents: Ismael V 80 years old (Father) & Margarida Feliciana V, 75 years old (Mother). The mother has been suffering due to medical errors since 2008, and only a miracle can solve the situation. The father has prostate and vision problems.

 Hester H in Virginia is in Beth's aunt and is back home and needs prayers for strength and health.

 Elisheva’s husband had surgery last week and will have to have two more. He will be out of work and the family is going to have to find a different housing arrangement. Pray for him to be able to find employment after his recovery. Her son is also starting a new treatment for ADHD. Please pray for both of them to imrove.

 Adam B. is asking for prayers for job security. The hatchet job cutting that is taking place in the USA is not without families that are impacted. Please keep Adam and his family in prayers for job security.

 I spoke with Shirleyann. Her kidneys are not doing well and so is her heart. Please pray for her health to improve.

 Jordan Issac - prayer for his treatments to work. Prayer for a mentor to step in and support him in his search for the Lord.

 Pete and Marge. Marge is undergoing test for Brest cancer and they are in the process of trying to get legal guardianship of their grandkids. They are both in the mid 80s. Please pray for strength and longevity to get these kids past college age.

 Jose needs your prayers for a blessing on his marriage to grow stronger and prayers for the birth of a Son.

 Aida Ramirez 99 yrs old she had her MRI done and they are waiting for the results on the 23 of the month.

 Aida Gonzalez is still dealing with back pain. continue to pray for her strength to care for her mother.

 Pat S pain management has improved with some shots. Keep Philip who is 89 and is caring for Pat in you prayers.

 Larry is asking for prayers for his grandchildren. I would say most of us that have grandchildren are concerned about the states of the world. The state of intolerance. The temptations out there. Please pray for the holy sprit to guide them in making good choices.

 Juli got a good report on her last scan and she is also in remission. So praise God both Bill and Jill are in remission. Give thanks to the Lord for he is Good.

 Barbra and Angie in Alaska. Barbra has some pains and discomfort related to old age. Please lift them in prayer for strength and reduction in pain.

 Please pray for Danah, my daughter's health issues. I pray for the Lord to give Danah wisdom, peace, and calm in life and her work.

 Aaron Hook, Nancy Hook’s oldest son, needs our prayers for wisdom and healing from past life issues.

After the last bone marrow transplant, the report is that the doctors didn’t find any leukemia in his body! Praise the Lord!
