2024년 5월 25일 안식일에 읽는 토라 포션의 이름은 “베하르”입니다.

이번 토라 포션의 첫 다섯 절인 레위기 25:1-5입니다:

“여호와께서 시내 산에서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되 이스라엘 자손에게 말하여 이르라 너희는 내가 너희에게 주는 땅에 들어간 후에 그 땅으로 여호와 앞에 안식하게 하라 너는 육 년 동안 그 밭에 파종하며 육 년 동안 그 포도원을 가꾸어 그 소출을 거둘 것이나 일곱째 해에는 그 땅이 쉬어 안식하게 할지니 여호와께 대한 안식이라 너는 그 밭에 파종하거나 포도원을 가꾸지 말며 네가 거둔 후에 자라난 것을 거두지 말고 가꾸지 아니한 포도나무가 맺은 열매를 거두지 말라 이는 땅의 안식년임이니라” (레위기 25:1-5)

안식년은 땅과 건강한 농업관행을 위한 것만이 아니라, 그 땅을 경작하는 농부가 하나님을 신뢰하며 그분께서 온 우주의 주인이시고 씨와 물과 밭과 나라의 번영을 돌보시고 주관하시는 분이라는 것을 알도록 사람을 훈련하기 위한 것이기도 합니다!

현대 농업학계의 견해는 농경에 사용되는 땅이 몇 년마다 쉬며 땅의 능률과 비옥함을 회복하도록 하는 것이 현명하다는 것입니다. 어쨌든 성경의 7년 주기와 일곱째 해에 경작하지 말라는 명령은 주목할 만하고 경이로운 명령입니다. 여러분은 이 명령을 지켰을 때의 기적을 믿어야 합니다. 그런데 땅과 농업을 위한 안식년에 있어서 가장 중요한 점은 하나님께서 이스라엘 자손과 세계에 그분만이 우리의 생계와 음식과 생명을 책임지시는 분이신 것을 보여주시는 기회라는 것입니다.

하나님께서는 다음과 같이 약속하셨습니다:

1) 일곱째 해에는 땅을 경작하는 것을 멈추라! 땅이 쉬게 하라. 땅을 돌보지 말고 땅을 일구지 말고 땅에 씨를 뿌리지 말라. 땅이 쉬도록 그냥 놔두라.

2) 내가 너희가 땅의 안식년인 일곱째 해까지 지낼 수 있도록 여섯째 해에 너희에게 풍족히 공급할 것이다.

3) 내가 너희가 여덟째 해에도 생계를 유지하며 땅을 돌보고 밭을 갈고 씨를 뿌리고 물을 줄 수 있을 만큼 씨와 음식을 공급할 것이니, 너희가 아홉째 해에 곡식을 추수하고 여호와와 함께 기뻐할 것이다.

일곱 번의 안식년이 지나고 나면 50년째에 희년이 있습니다. 여러분이 하나님의 명령을 순종하면 여러분에게 공동체에 대한 의무가 있다는 것도 알게 될 것입니다. 여러분은 여러분의 형제(여러분의 공동체의 일원)에게 돈을 빌려줄 때 그에게서 이자를 받을 수 없는데요, 이것은 “여러분의 진영에 살고 있는 이방인”에게는 실제 원금입니다. 여러분은 여러분의 형제가 넘어진 것을 보았을 때 그가 일어나도록 도와줘야 할 의무가 있습니다. 이번 안식일 토라 포션에 있는 이러한 율법은 아주 중요합니다. 아주 소수를 제외하고 기독교인들 일반이 하나님의 말씀과 하나님께서 토라를 통해 우리에게 주신 사회적 공동체적 지시(하나님께서 시내산에서 우리 조상에게 주신 지시)를 무시하고 있다고 말해야 하는 것이 슬픕니다.

“너희는 자기를 위하여 우상을 만들지 말지니 조각한 것이나 주상을 세우지 말며 너희 땅에 조각한 석상을 세우고 그에게 경배하지 말라 나는 너희의 하나님 여호와임이니라 너희는 내 안식일을 지키며 내 성소를 경외하라 나는 여호와이니라 너희가 내 규례와 계명을 준행하면 내가 너희에게 철따라 비를 주리니 땅은 그 산물을 내고 밭의 나무는 열매를 맺으리라 너희의 타작은 포도 딸 때까지 미치며 너희의 포도 따는 것은 파종할 때까지 미치리니 너희가 음식을 배불리 먹고 너희의 땅에 안전하게 거주하리라 내가 그 땅에 평화를 줄 것인즉 너희가 누울 때 너희를 두렵게 할 자가 없을 것이며 내가 사나운 짐승을 그 땅에서 제할 것이요 칼이 너희의 땅에 두루 행하지 아니할 것이며 너희의 원수들을 쫓으리니 그들이 너희 앞에서 칼에 엎드러질 것이라” (레위기 26:1-7)

하나님께서 우리에게 주신 이 약속들을 보십시오! 그렇습니다, 하나님께서는 하나님의 말씀을 듣기 위해 저 경이로운 산 아래서 두려움에 가득 차 서 있는 이스라엘 자손에게 이 말씀을 주셨습니다. 기독교인들 일반은 하나님의 아들이 오셔서 그분의 인간 형제들이 하나님의 세상에서 만든 온갖 더러운 것을 청소하셨기 때문에 그들이 더 이상 창조주 하나님에게서 분리되어 소외되어 있지 않다는 것을 잊었습니다.

저는 결코 비-유대인 형제인 여러분이 육신적으로 유대인이 되어야 한다고 시사하는 것이 아니라, 사도 바울이 에베소 형제자매들에게 한 말이 오늘날도 유효하며 모든 교회에 중요하다는 것을 시사하는 것입니다. 그리스도의 사도 바울이 에베소 교회에 한 말은 이것입니다:

“그러므로 생각하라 너희는 그 때에 육체로는 이방인이요 손으로 육체에 행한 할례를 받은 무리라 칭하는 자들로부터 할례를 받지 않은 무리라 칭함을 받는 자들이라 그 때에 너희는 그리스도 밖에 있었고 이스라엘 나라 밖의 사람이라 약속의 언약들에 대하여는 외인이요 세상에서 소망이 없고 하나님도 없는 자이더니 이제는 전에 멀리 있던 너희가 그리스도 예수 안에서 그리스도의 피로 가까워졌느니라” (에베소서 2:11-13)

바울이 에베소에 보낸 서신의 이 본문은 1세기 메시아의 제자들에게 아주 중요했지만, 이것이 오늘날 더 중요한 이유는 이것이 거의 모든 기독교권(교파)의 대부분의 기독교인들에게서 무시되고 간과되고 있기 때문입니다. 창세기부터 요한계시록까지의 하나님의 말씀보다 가톨릭 교회 전통에 더 권위를 부여하고 주의를 기울입니다.

저는 신약 교회의 회복과 하나님의 말씀을 순전하고 단순하게 따르는 일에 헌신했습니다! 21세기에 우리는 스마트폰과 컴퓨터가 있어 손끝에서 바로 고급 성경 주석을 이용할 수 있으므로, 교회 전통을 돌이켜보고 우리의 유일한 권위의 원천이며 그래야 하는 성경 말씀의 단순한 진리로 되돌아가야 합니다. 우리는 하나님의 말씀을 이론적, 철학적 신학으로서 읽고 연구해서는 안 됩니다. 우리는 하나님의 말씀의 모든 계시를 진심으로 받아들이고, 사도들의 가르침을 따라 하나님의 말씀을 듣기만 하는 것이 아니라 행하는 데로 돌아가, 위대한 피아노 연주자 앞에 있는 악보처럼 우리의 특권을 불러오며 우리의 순종 가운데 즐거워하기를 추구해야 합니다. 이것이 신약 교회의 회복의 의미입니다.

다음은 “순종”이라는 단어가 신약성경에 나오는 몇 가지 예입니다. 우리 모두는 우리가 모래 위가 아닌 반석 위에 집을 지은 지혜로운 건축자와 같이 되고 싶어 한다는 데에 동의합니다. 그는 주님의 말씀을 듣고 순종하는 사람입니다!

“베드로와 사도들이 대답하여 이르되 사람보다 하나님께 순종하는 것이 마땅하니라 … 우리는 이 일에 증인이요 하나님이 자기에게 순종하는 사람들에게 주신 성령도 그러하니라 하더라” (사도행전 5:29, 32)

“너희 자신을 종으로 내주어 누구에게 순종하든지 그 순종함을 받는 자의 종이 되는 줄을 너희가 알지 못하느냐 혹은 죄의 종으로 사망에 이르고 혹은 순종의 종으로 의에 이르느니라” (로마서 6:16)

“오 어리석도다 갈라디아 사람들아, 예수 그리스도께서 십자가에 못 박히신 것이 너희 가운데서 너희 눈앞에 분명하게 제시되었거늘 누가 너희를 꾀어 너희가 진리에 순종하지 못하게 하더냐?” (갈라디아서 3:1, 킹제임스버전흠정역)

물론, 믿음이 우리 모두에게 필수이며 충직함이 가장 중요한 것이어야 합니다. 우리의 교사와 설교자들은 믿을 뿐만 아니라 우리가 지은 집이 이따금 모든 사람의 삶에 닥치는 비와 폭풍을 견디도록 반석 위에 집을 짓는 지혜로운 건축자 같이 되라고 가르쳐야 합니다!

저는 저의 형제자매인 여러분께 중동 전체를 위해, 특별히 이스라엘과 이웃 국가들을 위해 기도해 주시기를 부탁드립니다. 저는 저의 아랍 형제자매들, 특히 팔레스타인 사람들에게 제 정신을 차리고 자기 국민들과 가족들을 더 죽음과 파괴로 몰아가는 미움을 버리며 온전한 정신과 지성적으로 가능한 한 최고의 인간의 기준을 적용하도록, 아니면 자기들의 경전에 있는 원칙으로 되돌아가도록 부탁드립니다.

저는 전 세계에 계시는 우리 형제자매님들께 전선에 나가 있는 저희 군인들을 위한 전술 장비를 공급하기 위해 해주셨던 것처럼, 지금은 예루살렘의 가난한 사람들에게 식료품을 공급하고 지금 벌어지고 있는 이웃 아랍국들과의 끔찍하고 잔인한 전쟁의 결과를 치유하기 위한 인도주의적 필요를 공급할 수 있도록 재정적으로 기여해 주시기를 부탁드립니다. 저는 여러분이 여러분의 청소년들에게 투자하시고 네티비야가 저희 회중의 메시아닉 유대인 청소년들에게 하는 투자와 예루살렘에서의 다른 사역을 확장하기 위한 투자에도 몫을 담당해 주시기를 장려합니다.

저는 여러분께 캐나다 북부에서부터 플로리다 남부 끝에 이르기까지 모든 서구권 대학가에서 벌이는 가장 중요한 전쟁에 기여해 주시기를 부탁드립니다. 유대인 공동체 내에서 유대인 공동체가 미국과 유럽의 가장 서구화된 도시들에서 매일 저질러지는 유대인에 대한 미움과 폭력 증가에 울며 애통해 하며 반-유대주의에 대항하는 전투를 하고 있습니다.

저는 여러분께 세계가 지붕에서 내려와 이성적이고 성경적인 땅에 발을 딛고 서서 존재하지도 않고 이스라엘과 아랍국가들 간의 평화와 이해가 있을 때까지는 존재하지도 않을 팔레스타인 국가를 인정하는 일부 국가들의 제 정신이 아닌 반응을 멈추게 하도록 기도해 주시기를 부탁드립니다. 이스라엘과 아랍국가들 간의 평화와 이해는 아랍국가들과 그들의 국민 간에, 하마스와 이슬람 지하드와 팔레스타인 정권 간의 평화와 이해가 훨씬 더 중요합니다. 어떤 종류의 국가여야 할까요? 기독교인 아랍인들이 반-유대주의와 반-기독교적인 과격파 하마스 아래서 안전하게 살며 그리스도를 믿는 그들의 신앙생활을 영위하는 자유를 누릴 수 있을까요? 지난 몇 년 간 기독교 순교자들이 있었던 유일한 곳은 저희 이웃인 가자지구와 이집트, 그리고 이란이었습니다.

어떻게 아일랜드, 노르웨이, 스페인 같은 나라들이 어리석음의 영에 사로잡혀 자기 나라의 내부적 영토 전쟁을 관리하지 못하고 혼돈 가운데 빚어진 지정학적으로 불가능한 일이 있게 하여 하늘에 부르짖게까지 되었습니까?

지금 하마스와 이슬람 지하드와 이들을 지지하는 이란과 다른 나라들에 있는 자들이 자행하는 인권 유린과 끔찍한 미움과 잔혹의 쓰나미 가운데 있는 여러분, 지붕에서 내려와 여러분의 도덕적 나침반을 교정하고 초점을 다시 맞추십시오!

하나님께서는 우리를 도우시고 세계가 어떻게든 리셋 버튼을 누르고 제 정신으로 돌아가도록 도우십니다. 앞의 두 단락은 아랍국가들과 가자지구의 테러리스트 정권과 유대와 사마리아는 물론 예멘과 이라크와 시리아의 아랍 테러 조직들뿐만 아니라, 이스라엘에도 적용됩니다. 유대인에 대한 미움과 자기 나라 안에서 서로에 대한 미움 위에 세워진 이 나라들은 깨어나 폭력을 멈추십시오. 저는 하나님께서 그분의 천사들을 데리고 그분의 방식으로 땅과 바다와 바람과 폭풍 같은 그분의 대행자들을 사용하여 하나님의 세상인 이 세상에 번지며 좌지우지하는 이 제 정신이 아닌 이 상태 해결을 도우시도록 기도합니다!

우리가 천국에 가서 우리가 위해서 기도했고 때로는 울부짖었던 사람들을 만나게 되면 기쁜 일일 것입니다. 그들은 육신적으로는 모르지만 영적으로는 같은 그리스도의 몸의 지체인 형제자매들로서, 언젠가 함께 앉아 “제가 당신이 치유되도록 기도한 것이 기억납니다!”, “당신이 가자지구 하마스 테러리스트들의 잔인한 손아귀에서 인질들을 구하기 위해 가자지구에서 싸울 때 제가 당신이 안전하도록 기도한 것이 기억납니다!” 이야기 나누는 특권을 누리게 될 이들입니다.

하나님의 은혜와, 치유와 힘을 주시는 하나님의 부드러운 손길이 필요한 다음 형제자매님들을 위해 기도해 주십시오.

 스페인과 포르투갈 종교재판의 희생자 (후손) 수백만 명을 위해 기도해 주십시오. 그들은 강제로 가톨릭으로 개종당했었고 지금은 고향 이스라엘 땅과 조상들의 신앙으로 돌아오고 싶어 합니다.

 잃어버린 이 유대인들이 돌아와 하나님께서 오바댜 선지자에게 하신 약속을 이룰 수 있도록 이스라엘 국가가 이들에게 문을 열도록 기도해 주십시오:
“오직 시온 산에서 피할 자가 있으리니 그 산이 거룩할 것이요 야곱 족속은 자기 기업을 누릴 것이며 야곱 족속은 불이 될 것이며 요셉 족속은 불꽃이 될 것이요 에서 족속은 지푸라기가 될 것이라 그들이 그들 위에 붙어서 그들을 불사를 것인즉 에서 족속에 남은 자가 없으리니 여호와께서 말씀하셨음이라 그들이 네겝과 에서의 산과 평지와 블레셋을 얻을 것이요 또 그들이 에브라임의 들과 사마리아의 들을 얻을 것이며 베냐민은 길르앗을 얻을 것이며 사로잡혔던 이스라엘의 많은 자손은 가나안 사람에게 속한 이 땅을 사르밧까지 얻을 것이며 예루살렘에서 사로잡혔던 자들 곧 스바랏에 있는 자들은 네겝의 성읍들을 얻을 것이니라 구원 받은 자들이 시온 산에 올라와서 에서의 산을 심판하리니 나라가 여호와께 속하리라.” — 오바댜 1:17-21

The Jerusalem Prayer List – 24 May, 2024

From the Torah Leviticus 25:1–26:2.
From the Prophets (The Haftarah), Jeremiah 32:6-27.
From the New Testament, Luke 4:14-22.

Here is the first verse from Leviticus 25:1-5 of our reading portion:

"And the LORD spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying, "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a sabbath to the LORD. Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather its fruit; but in the seventh year, there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the LORD. You shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard. What grows of its own accord of your harvest you shall not reap, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine, for it is a year of rest for the land." (Leviticus 25:1-5 NKJV)

The Sabbatical Year was not only for the sake of the land and a healthy agricultural practice but also to train human beings, the Farmers who work the land, to trust God and to know that He is the master of our universe and can take care of and control the seed, the water, the field, and the prosperity of the nation!

Modern Agricultural academic opinions are that it is wise to allow the land used for agricultural cultivation to rest every few years to restore the land's efficiency and richness. However, the biblical 7-year cycle and the command to not cultivate the seventh year is a remarkable and miraculous commandment: You must believe in miracles to keep this commandment. However, the most important thing about the sabbatical year for the land and agriculture is the opportunity for God to show the children of Israel and the world that He alone is responsible for our sustenance, food, and life.

Here is what God promises:

1) You stop farming your land in the seventh year! Give the land a rest; do not tend the land, do not plow the land, do not seed the land. Just leave the land to rest.

2) I will provide for you in the 6th year enough prosperity to take you through the seventh year, the Sabbath of the Land.

3) I will also provide you with enough seed and food for the 8th year so that you can sustain yourselves and give you time to tend the land, plow, seed, and water, and in the 9th Year, you can harvest your crop, and rejoice with the Lord.

Every seven sabbatical years, you will have the 50th year of Jubilee. When you obey God's commands, you will also learn that you have obligations toward your community; you can't take an interest in your brother (a member of your community) when you lend him money, a true principle for the "stranger that lives in your camp!" You have an obligation toward your brother to help lift him up when you see him down. These laws in our Torah reading this Shabbat are so important, and it is sad to say that Christians in general, with just a few exceptions, ignore God's Word and the social and community instructions that God has given us through the Torah (the instructions that he gave our forefathers from Mount Sinai).

"You shall not make idols for yourselves; neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves; nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it; for I am the LORD your God. You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the LORD. "If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them, then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land. You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you." (Leviticus 26:1-7 NKJV)

Just look at these promises that God gives us! Yes, of course, He gave these words to the children of Israel when they stood full of fear under that awesome mountain to Hear God speaking. Christians, in general, forget that they are no longer Gentiles separated and alienated from the Creator, from God Himself, because the Son came to clean up the mess that his human brothers have made in God's World.

I am not suggesting in any way that you, my non-Jewish brothers, become Jews in the flesh, but I am suggesting that the words of the Apostle Paul to the brothers and sisters in Ephesus are still valid today and important for the whole Church. Here are the words of Paul, the Apostle of Christ, to the Church in Ephesus:

"Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ." (Ephesians 2:11-13 NKJV)

This text from Paul's letter to the Ephesians is crucial for the first-century followers of the Messiah, and it is still even more important because it has been ignored and neglected by most Christians of almost every Christian sect (denomination). Catholic Church Tradition is given more authority and attention than the words of God from Genesis to Revelation.

I am committed to the Restoration of the New Testament Church and to following the Word of God, pure and simple! In the 21st century, we have smartphones and computers and access to biblical commentaries of the highest quality right at our fingertips, we must review our church traditions and return to the simple truth of the Biblical text that is and ought to be our only source of authority. We must not read and study the Word of God as a theoretical, philosophical theology. We must take the whole revelation of God's Word sincerely, seeking to follow the Apostolic instructions to find and return to doing and not only hearing the Word of God, like sheet music notes in front of a great piano player, to fetch our privileges and rejoice in our obedience. This is what the Restoration of the New Testament church means.

Here are a few examples of the word OBEY in the New Testament. We all agree that we want to be like the wise builder who built his house on the rock, not the sand. He heard and obeyed the Lord!

"But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men. And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him." (Acts 5:29, 32 NKJV)

"Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?" (Romans 6:16 NKJV)

O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?" (Galatians 3:1 NKJV)

Of course, faith is essential for all of us, and faithfulness ought to be most important. Our teachers and preachers must teach not only to believe but to be like the wise builder of the house, building upon the rock so that the house we are building will be able to stand the rain and the storm that is indeed to come in everyone's life sometimes!

I ask my brothers and sisters to pray for the whole Middle East, especially Israel and the surrounding countries. I ask my Arab brothers and sisters, especially the Palestinians, to return to sanity and give up on hate that leads to more death and destruction of their citizens and families and return to the sane and intelligent application of the best and the highest possible standards of humanity – even to return to their principles that they have in their holy books.

I ask our brothers and sisters around the whole world to mobilize just as you did to provide military tactical equipment for the soldiers on the front lines of battle, to mobilize now and pray and contribute financially for the provision of food for the poor of Jerusalem and for humanitarian needs to heal the effects of this horrible, cruel war with our Arab neighbors. I encourage you to invest in your youth and also share in the investment that Netivyah must make ASAP for the Messianic Jewish youth in our fellowship and expand to other ministries in Jerusalem.

I ask you to contribute to the most important war that is now raging in university and college campuses around the whole west, from north Canada to the tip of South Florida. The battle against antisemitism is fought by the Jewish communities inside the Jewish community, crying and lamenting the horrible increase in Jewish Hate and violence that is committed daily in most Western Cities both in the Americas and also in Europe.

I ask you to pray that our world gets off the roof and stand on logical and biblical grounds and stop the insane reaction of some countries to recognize a Palestinian state that doesn't exist and will not exist until there is peace and understanding between Israel and our Arab neighbors and even more critical between our Arab neighbors and their population, between Hamas and Islamic Jihad and the Palestinian authorities. What kind of State will there be? Will Christian Arabs have safe lives and freedom to practice their faith in Christ under a Hamas radical antisemitic and anti-Christian mentality? The only places where there have been Christian martyrs in the last few years have been Gaza, Egypt, other neighboring countries, and Iran.

How is it that such a spirit of STUPIDITY has taken over countries like Ireland, Norway, and Spain that can't manage their own internal and territorial wars but want to have a geopolitical impossibility created in the middle of chaos that screams to Heaven?

Get down from the rooftops and refocus and recalibrate your moral compass, you who are now in the middle of a horrible tsunami of hate and cruelty and abuse of human rights by Hamas and Islamic Jihad and their supporters in Iran and others!

God help us and help our world push the reset button somehow and return to sanity. These last two paragraphs also apply to Israel, not only to the Arab and terrorist states like Gaza and the Arab terrorist organizations in Judea and Samaria, and of course in Yemen, Iraq, and Syria. These countries, built on the hate of Jews and each other in their own countries, wake up and stop the violence. I pray that God, in His way with his angels, uses His powerful agents like the earth, the sea, the wind, and the storm to help resolve this insanity that is spreading and ruling our world, God's world!

Bless Netivyah in Jerusalem with provisions for the poor of Jerusalem, the youth, and the other projects, and bless Netivyah International in its battle and projects against antisemitism and anti-Israel attitudes around the world.

Your prayers for brothers and sisters you don’t know personally is a pure love and building of the Body of the Messiah. It is Agape Love since you are doing this without any selfish interests and casting a vote in heaven for someone who is your brother. Still, you don't know them, and God looks at these prayers that are unselfish and genuine expression of love and care for another link in the long chain of love and faith that binds us together even though we might not know each other in this world.

When we all get to Heaven, it will be a joy to meet people we prayed for and sometimes even cried for. Brothers and sisters who are physically strangers but spiritually a part of the same body of Christ, I believe that one day we will have the privilege to sit together and share: "I remember praying for you to be healed!" "I remember praying for you to be safe when you were fighting in Gaza to free the hostages from the cruel hands of the terrorists of the Hamas in Gaza."
