Despite that, we are comforted in the knowledge that you are standing with us, and we thank you for your faithfulness and continued prayers for the Nation of Israel and the Harvest of Asher congregation as a body and for our individual prayer needs. We are grateful for God’s protection during the Feast of Passover and Unleavened Bread as well as for His Grace during the Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremonies and memorials. We are praying for that same protection and grace this week as we commemorate Memorial Day and Independence Day. During these difficult times, it is a challenge to find balance in any celebration since there is a bittersweet element involved and we do so under the shadow of the massacre of October 7th and the ongoing and unresolved events thereof. Currently Guy is outside of Israel and in his absence the previously listed points of prayer are being included in this update. Sadly, there is not much of a change in status since they were originally posted on November 19, 2023. We are fighting our enemies on three fronts, northern and southern borders as well as Judea and Samaria in the center; not to mention our external enemies which include nations, governments, judicial systems, and organizations as well as the spiritual forces sent out against us. However, we must always remember that God is faithful, and even when it appears that He is not doing anything, it is quite the opposite, He is working on our behalf. His hand has not grown short nor has His ear become dull and His promises are Yeah and Amen, He will do what He said He would do. (Isaiah 64:4, Isaiah 59:1, 2 Corinthians 1:20) Join with us in prayer for the Nation of Israel – the land and the people, our loved ones as well as our enemies. The war: ∘ Pray for our soldiers. ∘ Comfort to the families of the soldiers who are serving and those who have given their life in service. ∘ Healing to the soldiers who have been wounded. ∘ Wisdom to the leaders of Israel and the world. ∘ Protection for the thousands who have been displaced: ▪ From communities attacked in Gaza on Oct. 7 ▪ evacuated with little or nothing more than the cloths on their backs ▪ in many cases no physical home to return to ▪ no work ▪ mourning the death of family, friends and community ▪ grieving for the return of loved ones from the hand of Hamas ▪ worry over those still recovering in hospitals ▪ comfort to their souls ▪ The communities evacuated along the southern and northern borders ▪ Total disruption of daily life, no work and in many cases inability to return for additional clothing and supplies ▪ The unknown for the future. Additional areas of Prayer ∘ The Nation of Israel - the Land and the People. ∘ The people of Gaza being held hostage by Hamas. ∘ The people of Lebanon being held hostage by Hizballah ∘ Israel's relationship with Egypt, Jordan and the other Arabic countries around us. ∘ Pray that the world media will reflect the truth and not to be used as a tool to provoke the nations to come against Israel. ∘ Pray for believers around the world not to be deceived by what they hear and read through the media. That they will stand firm as a light in the darkness within their communities. ∘ Pray that the plans and purposes of God will come to pass. |
