선지서 포션은 이사야 51장에서, 신약성경 포션은 요한복음 6장에서 읽습니다. 하나님의 말씀의 이 포션들에 담긴 원칙들은 자신의 삶과 공동체의 삶 안에 정의와 질서를 추구하는 모든 사람에게 의미가 있고 가치가 있습니다.

비록 이 본문들이 성경 역사의 서로 다른 시대에 비롯되었지만, 이 모든 말씀들은 하나님의 백성에게 하나님의 의로운 통치 아래 살고, 그분의 공급하심을 신뢰하며, 겉으로 드러나는 종교심만이 아니라 신실한 순종으로 그분께 응답하라고 촉구합니다. 이번 토라 포션 “쇼프팀(재판장들)”에서 우리에게 전하는 핵심 원칙은 정의가 모든 사회의 기초라는 것입니다. 규율되는 사법 제도가 없는 공동체는 바로 소돔과 같은 공동체입니다. 공동체를 규율할 재판장들과 정의를 집행할 제도가 없으면 그 공동체는 악하고 불의해지며 결국 자멸하게 됩니다. 혹은 소돔과 고모라처럼 하나님께서 그 공동체를 멸망시키시고, 의인과 악인 모두 그 공동체의 죄와 불의에 대한 대가를 치르게 됩니다. 핵심 원칙은 이미 신명기 16:18-20 본문 안에 담겨 있습니다.

“네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주시는 각 성에서 네 지파를 따라 재판장들과 지도자들을 둘 것이요 그들은 공의로 백성을 재판할 것이니라 19 너는 재판을 굽게 하지 말며 사람을 외모로 보지 말며 또 뇌물을 받지 말라 뇌물은 지혜자의 눈을 어둡게 하고 의인의 말을 굽게 하느니라 20 너는 마땅히 공의만을 따르라 그리하면 네가 살겠고 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주시는 땅을 차지하리라”

그 이후 구절에서 토라는 정의와 적절한 재판관 제도와 공정한 사법 제도가 없을 때 우상숭배가 발생하는 근본적인 문제들을 열거합니다. 이 점은 매우 중요하고 흥미롭습니다. 하나님께서 주신 법과 정의가 없는 곳에 우상숭배가 생겨납니다. 우상숭배는 본질적으로 인간이 자신과 공동체를 무법의 손아귀에 맡기는 것입니다. 무법이란 힘이 곧 정의가 되고, 강하고 악랄한 자가 가난하고 의로운 자를 착취하는 체제입니다. 다음 말씀은 제가 앞에서 인용한 본문 이후 계속되는 말씀입니다:

“네 하나님 여호와를 위하여 쌓은 제단 곁에 어떤 나무로든지 아세라 상을 세우지 말며 자기를 위하여 주상을 세우지 말라 네 하나님 여호와께서 미워하시느니라” 신명기 16:21-22.

신명기 16장에 나오는 하나님의 말씀에 따른 이 원칙은 공리(公理)입니다. 하나님과 그분의 율법이 정의의 기초가 되는 공정한 법체계가 없는 곳에는 우상숭배가 만연하게 됩니다. 우상숭배의 본질이 무엇이기 때문일까요? 우상숭배의 본질이 인간이 스스로를 하나님의 자리에 두고, 자신을 하나님의 자리에 놓음으로써 다른 사람의 권리를 침해하는 것이기 때문입니다.

히브리어 원문은 이스라엘 백성에게, 그리고 제 생각에는 예슈아의 모든 제자들에게, 끊임없이 그리고 정직하게 정의를 추구하라고 명령합니다. 설령 정의를 추구하는 데 대가가 따르더라도 말입니다. 이스라엘과 유대교, 그리고 예슈아의 제자들은 정의와 사회 정의와 모든 종류의 정의를 옹호하지 않고서는 예슈아와 하나님을 제대로 대변할 수 없습니다. 흥미로운 점은 1960년대 셀마 행진 맨 앞에서 마틴 루터 킹 목사와 나란히 걸었던 사람들 대부분이 밥 딜런, 피트 사이거, 조슈아 헤셸 랍비와 같은 유대인이었다는 것입니다.

토라에서 재판장들은 하나님의 종이지 백성의 주인이 아닙니다! 그들은 뇌물을 받거나 편애를 보여서는 안 되며, 뇌물이나 뒷돈을 받는 것도 거절해야 합니다! 이유는 간단합니다. 하나님 자신이 모든 사람의 궁극적인 재판장이시며, 그분의 의로움은 온 인류의 죄 사함을 위한 예슈아의 희생에서 드러나기 때문입니다.

세상의 어떤 지도자도 하나님 위에 있을 수 없으며, 인간 중에 모든 의로운 지도자는 우리 인간의 마음을 꿰뚫어 보시고 그분의 의로움에 따라 각 사람을 심판하시는 궁극적인 재판장이신 하나님께 복종해야 합니다.

왕이라 할지라도 겸손해야 하며 하나님의 말씀과 의에 따라 재판해야 합니다. 이스라엘 왕들은 여러 명의 아내를 두거나 많은 말을 소유하는 것이 허용되지 않았습니다. 유대교 가르침에 따르면, 이스라엘 왕들은 매일 토라를 읽으라 명 받았습니다.

전쟁에도 도덕적 제한이 있으며, 이스라엘 군인들은 지금도 적들의 가장 끔찍하고 잔혹한 행위에 맞서 싸우는 전쟁 중에도 도덕적 제한이 있습니다. 이스라엘 군인들은 아마도 세계 어느 군대보다도 엄격하고 철저한 도덕적 규칙과 제약을 준수할 것입니다. 인간의 생명은 신성하며, 이러한 이유로 하나님의 율법은 보복하려는 자나 자력 구제를 시도하는 자들로부터 무고한 사람들을 보호하기 위해 도피성을 건설하라고 이스라엘에 명하고 있습니다.

신약성경 포션 요한복음 6장을 읽어보면, 토라 포션과 선지서 포션 이사야 51장에서 볼 수 있는 것과 같은 원칙들을 발견할 수 있습니다.

요한복음 6장의 메시지

이번 안식일에 읽을 신약성경 포션으로 요한복음 6장을 선택한 이유는 몇 가지 중요한 사건에 있습니다. 요한복음 6장에서 답하는 질문들은 쉽지 않지만, 요한복음이 우리에게 주는 답은 세 가지 이야기에서 매우 강력합니다. 첫 번째 이야기는 갈릴리 호수가 내려다보이는 황량한 언덕에서 예슈아께서 그분의 가르침을 들으러 온 5천 명을 먹이신 이야기입니다. 두 번째 부분은 예슈아께서 바다 위를 걸으신 이야기입니다. 요한복음 6장의 세 번째 부분은 예슈아께서 제자들에게 “생명의 떡”에 대해 가르치신 이야기입니다. 요한복음 6장과 토라 포션과 이사야 51장 사이의 연관성은 어렵지 않게 알 수 있습니다.

핵심 사상은 바로 이것입니다: 생명과 생명 보험의 공급자는 누구인가? 사람들은 예슈아의 가르침을 듣고 있었는데, 에어컨이 빵빵하게 나오는 강당에 앉아 있는 것도 아니고, 팝콘이나 청량음료수를 파는 매점도 없었습니다. 날씨는 덥고 사람들은 배고픈데, 예슈아께서는 짧은 강의를 하고 계신 것도 아니었습니다. 사람들은 예슈아의 말씀을 듣고 싶어 했습니다. 그렇지 않았다면, 바위에 앉거나 서서까지 나사렛 출신의 젊은 “선지자”의 말을 들으러 오지 않았을 것입니다. 예슈아의 명성이 이미 너무나 높고, 예슈아라는 이 젊은 유대인이 전하는 메시지가 너무나 가치 있다고 믿었기에, 야외에서 햇볕 아래 앉거나 서서까지 그분의 말씀을 들으려 했던 것입니다. 예슈아께서는 5천 명의 유대인들이 그분의 말씀을 들으러 갈릴리 호숫가 야외에 모이게 할 만큼 중요한 명성을 가지고 계셨음이 분명합니다. 사람들은 영의 떡, 즉 생명의 떡을 원했습니다. 그리고 지금 땅바닥이나 바위나 집에서 가져온 담요 위에 앉아 있다 보니 배가 고파졌습니다! 예슈아께서는 사실 자신을 먼저 내어주셨습니다! 예슈아께서는 무리에게 “나는 생명의 떡이다!”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 그분은 인류의 가장 큰 갈망, 즉 시간적, 질적으로 영원한 삶에 대한 해답으로 자신을 내어주셨습니다. 이 이야기의 진정한 기적은 예슈아께서 무리에게 먹이신 물리적 떡이나 역시나 많아져서 그 많은 사람들을 먹인 다섯 마리의 물고기가 아닙니다. 진정한 기적은 예슈아께서 노예 상태에 있는 삶에서부터 로마의 이스라엘 땅 점령 상태에 있는 삶에 이르기까지 삶 자체를 풍성하게 하셨다는 것입니다. 예슈아께서는 갈릴리 호숫가에 모인 5천 명의 유대인들에게 다른 차원의 삶, 즉 영생에 대한 소망을 주셨습니다. 여러분이 지금 믿음으로 이 소망을 받아들이고, 이 소망이 여러분의 삶과 도덕, 가치관을 형성하도록 한다면, 여러분은 지금 당장 새로운 차원의 삶을 누릴 수 있습니다! 여러분과 주변 많은 사람들을 먹일 수 있는 많아지는 약간의 빵과 몇 마리의 물고기를 시작으로 말입니다!

토라 본문과 이사야서 51장 본문과 요한복음 본문을 관통하는 핵심은 동일합니다. 이스라엘의 하나님께서는 인간의 영혼과 육체(인간 육체의 살은 가장 약한 부분이지만 인간의 영과 혼은 가장 강한 부분입니다)를 위한 생명의 양식의 궁극적인 근원입니다.

모인 무리는 떡을 원했습니다. 예수님께서는 자신을 내어주셨습니다. 그리고 “나는 생명의 떡이다”라고 선언하셨습니다.

우리는 신약성경에 나오는 이 이야기가 토라에도 똑같이 존재한다는 것을 기억해야 합니다. 이스라엘 백성은 떡을 구했고, 하나님께서는 광야에서 수십 년간 매일 아침 그들에게 만나를 내려주셨습니다. 그들은 고기를 구했고, 하나님께서는 그들에게 메추라기를 주셨습니다.

The Jerusalem Prayer List - by Joseph Shulam for August 14, 2026

The portion of the Torah that is read in the synagogues around the world for this coming Shabbat is called Judges, in Hebrew Shoftim! The reading is from the book of Deuteronomy chapters 16:18 – 21:17. The main topic that this Torah portion starts with is with the needs of justice to be administrated in the community.

The reading from the prophets is from Isaiah 51, and from the New Testament, the reading is from John chapter 6. The principles that are embedded in these readings from God's word are relevant and valuable for everyone who is seeking justice and order in his own life and in the life of his community.

The Torah portion Shoftim (Judges) (Deuteronomy 16:18–21:9 in the traditional reading; some printed divisions extend into 21:17 for study purposes), the Haftarah from Isaiah 51:12–52:12, and a complementary New Testament reading from John 6 form a remarkably unified message.

Although they come from different periods of biblical history, they all call God's people to live under God's righteous rule, trust His provision, and respond to Him with faithful obedience rather than outward religion alone. The main principles that our Torah portion Shoftim (judges) brings to us is that justice is the foundation of every society. A community that has no regulated justice system is the community of Sodom. Without a system of judges and justice that can be administrated the community becomes evil and unjust and eventually it brings self destruction. Or, like in Sodom and Gomorrah, God destroys that community, and both the righteous and the evil pay for the sins and injustice of the community. The main principles is already in the text of the reading in Deuteronomy 16:18-20,

"You shall appoint judges and officers in all your gates, which the LORD your God gives you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with just judgment. 19 You shall not pervert justice; you shall not show partiality, nor take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous. 20 You shall follow what is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which the LORD your God is giving you."

In the next verses, the Torah lists some of the foundational issues that lack of justice and proper legal system of judges and righteous court system brings idolatry. This point is very important and interesting. Where there is no God given laws and justice there comes idolatry. Idolatry essentially is man putting himself and his community into the hands of lawlessness. Lawlessness is the system where might makes right, where the strong and the abusive take advantage of the poor and righteous. This is the continuation of the text that I quoted above:

"You shall not plant for yourself any tree, as a wooden image, near the altar which you build for yourself to the LORD your God. You shall not set up a sacred pillar, which the LORD your God hates. "You shall not sacrifice to the LORD your God a bull or sheep which has any blemish or defect, for that is an abomination to the LORD your God." Deuteronomy 16:21-22.

This principle from God's word in Deuteronomy chapter 16 is axiomatic. Wherever there is not a just legal system where God and His laws are the basis of justice, idolatry takes over. Because what is the essence of idolatry? The essence of idolatry is where man puts himself as God and abuses his fellow man's rights by placing himself in God's place.

The Hebrew text commands the people of Israel, and in my opinion all the disciples of Yeshua, to pursue justice constantly and honestly, and even when it might be costly to pursue justice. Israel and Judaism, and also the followers of Yeshua, can't represent him and God without standing for justice, social justice, and justice of any kind. It is interesting that in the Selma March in the 1960's the people who were on the front line with Dr. Martin Luther King walking abreast were mostly Jews, like Bob Dylan, Pete Siger, and Rabbi Joshua Heschel.

In the Torah, judges are servants of God – not masters of the people! They must not take bribes or show favoritism, and they must refuse to receive bribes or kickbacks! The reason is simple: God Himself is the ultimate judge of all flesh, and His righteousness is seen in the sacrifice of Yeshua for the remission of sins for all humanity.

No earthly leader is above God, and every righteous human leader has to be submitted to the ultimate judge of justice who sees into our human heart and gives each according to God’s own righteousness.

Even The King Must Remain Humble and judge according to God’s word and righteousness. The Kings of Israel were not allowed to have multiple wives or even horses. According to Jewish teaching, the kings of Israel were commanded to read the Torah daily.

Even War Has Moral Limits, and Israeli soldiers even now have moral limitations in the wars of Israel against the most horrible and cruel practices of our enemies. Israeli soldiers have probably the most strict and stringent moral rules and limitations than any other army in the world. Human life is sacred and for this reason God’s law commands Israel to build cities of refuge to protect the innocent from blood liable or people taking the law into their own hands.

We have Corporate Responsibility by the Torah. The ceremony of the unsolved murder in the camp of Israel teaches us that in the case of the unsolved murder the whole nation of Israel takes the responsibility of the innocent blood that was spilled.

The reading from the prophets on this next Shabbat is from Isaiah chapter 51, and here again there are some extremely interesting principles that God communicates with us through the prophet Isaiah. The setting of this chapter is that the nation is at least in spiritual exile. God, through the prophet Isaiah, points Israel to look back at Abraham, your father. When you are in trouble, the advice that God gives us through the prophet Isaiah is: don’t run ahead. Stop and look back; try to understand how you got into this trouble; learn from your ancestors; learn from Abraham. (( We must remember that even our ancestors like Abraham were not sinless, and they too made mistakes, and they had to pay for their mistakes, and God tested them, and especially Abraham on more than one occasion. Remembering our beginnings is always a wise thing to do when, upfront, everything is dark and difficult to figure out where to turn to and find solutions.

Remembering our past and our beginnings is always a great tool to refocus and reconsider our options. The period of Isaiah the prophet was not an easy time for the people of Israel. The political leadership was not exactly righteous; the spiritual leadership of Israel, both the Levitical priesthood and the popular prophets themselves, were out of focus and in sin because of their greed. The Lord directs through Isaiah the prophet the people and their leadership to look back. Looking back can clear the source of our trouble and help us remember God’s righteousness in our history and take us back to the beginnings and the source of our problems. Remembering our history and our past can restore our confidence in God’s faithfulness during past struggles and calamities. When we are facing a dead end the story of Moses and the children of Israel standing on the shores of the Red Sea and the Egyptian army at their tail can give us courage to step forward and hope to see the arm of the Lord opening doors and even the sea itself for us to cross into the safety of God’s own provision to resolve our predicament and repent and beg God for mercy and look for His salvation to come in the blink of our own eyes!

When we read the section from the New Testament from John’s gospel chapter 6, we see some of the same principles like in the Torah reading and the reading from Isaiah 51.

The Message of John Chapter 6

The reason why those who chose the reading for this Shabbat from John chapter 6 centers around several great events: The question that this chapter of the Gospel of John answered are not easy, but the answer that the Gospel of John gives us is very powerful in the three stories. The first story is Yeshua feeding 5000 people who came to hear his teaching on a barren hill overlooking the Sea of Galilee. The second part is the story of Yeshua walking on the sea. The third part of this chapter 6 of the Gospel of John is Yeshua’s teaching his disciples on the “Bread of Life!” The connection of the reading from John chapter 6 with the reading of the Torah and from the prophet Isaiah chapter 51, are not hard to perceive.

The main idea is the question: who is the provider of life and life insurance? The people have been hearing Yeshua teach, and they are not sitting in an air-conditioned auditorium, and there is no stand there to sell them popcorn or sodas. It is hot, and they are hungry, and Yeshua is not teaching some short lesson…. The people want to hear Yeshua, or they wouldn’t come to stand or sit on some rock and to hear the young “prophet” from Nazareth unless the reputation of Yeshua was already so popular and challenging that they believed that this young Jew called Yeshua has something valuable enough to stand or sit outdoors under the sun to hear his message. Yeshua must have had a reputation important enough to bring a crowd of 5000 Jewish people to hear him on the shores of the Sea of Galilee outdoors. The crowd wants bread, spiritual bread, and now, after a period of sitting on the ground or on a rock or a blanket that they brought from home, they got hungry! Yeshua actually offers himself first! He said to the crowd: “I am the bread of life…!” He offered himself as the solution to humanity’s biggest hunger: that of life – life eternal in time and quality. The true miracle in this story is not the physical bread that Yeshua provided for the crowd to eat or the five fish that were also multiplied to feed that many people. The true miracle is that Yeshua multiplied life itself from a state of slavery to self and to the Roman occupation of the land of Israel. Yeshua gave those 5000 Jews that gathered on the shores of the Sea of Galilee a hope for life of a different quality – hope for eternal life that if you accept it by faith now and allow that hope to shape your life and your morality and your values in this life – you can start enjoying this new quality of life now! Starting with a little bread that multiplies and a few fish that also can feed you and the multitudes around you!

The thread between the Torah reading and the reading from Isaiah the prophet, chapter 51, and the reading from the Gospel of John is the same: God of Israel is the ultimate source of life-giving food for the human soul and also for the human body, whose flesh is the weakest part, but the spirit and the soul are the strongest parts.

The crowd wanted bread. Jesus offered Himself. He declares, “I am the Bread of Life.”

We must remember that this story in the New Testament is not unique in the Torah. The people of Israel asked for bread, and God gave them fresh Manna every morning for years in the wilderness. They asked for meat, and God gave them the partridges for meat.

We must remember God’s Past Faithfulness and know that the same God is still faithful and caring for his children even today.

 Pray for Um Mahmud Abu-Eid, Jimmy Abu-Eid, and all of the family. This is a dear family of old friends that needs healing and wisdom for the children and for their work.

 Please pray for the Romero family, who live deep in the Negev desert. It is hot there, and they are far from our congregation, and we miss them.

 Pray for Deborah Isaiah. I pray for the Lord to find Deborah Isaiah and lead her to a blessed life, family, and a solution to her problems.

In Finland:

 ilse Luukas is having her second melanoma surgery and is asking for success in removing all the cancer. This is a repeat from 2019.

 Mauno Lemponen’s health has not changed which is a good thing. They are evaluating moving closer to other family members — prayers for Hilkka, Miika, and Ester who will support this possible change. Please pray as moving is always a big task.

 Pray for Satu-Maria, Sinni Tuuli, Anne Mirjami, our dear sisters.

 Pray for Eva H., Patty, Andrea, Julia, Victor, Aaron Tani, and Hillel.

 Pray for the family of X in Finland who are waiting to see their children and Grandchildren to be in faith in the Lord. its stressful to not have all your children walk in faith.

In Denmark:

 Cynthia M asked you to pray for her health. She has neutropenia and chronic asthma, and has been undergoing biological treatment with injections every two weeks since 2021 so I ask you to pray for better results and better health conditions as the symptoms, respiratory infections, medications, and injections make me very tired every day.

 Mass has lost his wife and has small children. Please pray for Mass a this children as he navigates this major change in his life and the Childrens life. May God bless him with direction.

In Brazil:

 Sister Rosie needs prayers to overcome fears of traveling by plane.

 Hannah and her family are in Dubai. They need prayer to make plans on either leaving or stay in dubai since that's where they are currently employed.

 Pray for a dear young man, Paulo, from Curitiba, Brazil, who seriously needs our prayers for sanity and mental health.

 Pray for a dear sister named Claudia Rita Souze Arau. She has cancer and needs God’s healing hands to touch her with healing.

In Asia:

 Pray for Pastor T.J. in Taiwan.

 Pray for Deborah Ruth, a dear sister from China.

 Pray for Sister Yoko Nagumo in Japan.

 Tony Tam, his wife Luisa, and his son Marco need special prayers for their situation.

 Keith in Baltimore is having a terrible time with Crohn’s disease - please pray for his healing.

 Bart Hill has aplastic anemia. His family and friends are asking for prayers for recovery and strength.

 Judith is asking for prayers to her kidney function and painful neuropathy. Please pray for her healing. She so desperately needs some relief.

 Chatica was raised by her grandmother who is going through initial stages of dimensia. Pray for and family that are navigating this new phase of care for her.

 Sarah R is asking for prayers.

 June V is asking for prayers for her grandchildren's needs. It can be worrisome at times and we can all relate to praying over our grandbabies.

 A request for those in the Pittsburgh area for helping hands at the Tree of Life church's food pantry. they need extra hands to assist in keeping that ministry going.

 Cindy has been fighting spiritual battles at work for many years and is asking for God to open a door for her if it is His will for her to move on.

 I ask for prayers for divine intervention in the lives of my sister-in-law “A” and her husband, my brother, “G” and their son. l am begging the Eternal for healing and salvation for this family.

 Shirley J heart surgery is needed since her stents did not work. She is asking for faith to be strengthened.

 Ray H. is having a similar health issue to Marcia Shulam, where the blood pressure drops when we stands up.

 Irina L. needs a kidney transplant. Her kidney is beginning to fail and is only 26% functioning. Prayer for a suitable donor and wisdom for the doctors and medical team to maintain her kidney functions. (Irina is the twin sister of pastor Serge from Kazakhstan.

 Elisheva’s husband is recovering from a fourth surgery. On September 23, he will have a 5th surgery. Also prayer for healing for Elisheva's left leg and hip joint healing. Also, an interview next week for a new job.

 Manny is asking for prayers for his father’s health that is in decline.

 Shirleyann - continues to have a rough time with water retention and hydration medications. Her heart is slowing down. The good news is her weight has increased. please continue to keep her in your prayers.

 Jordan Issac - is scheduled to visit some doctors to evaluate his needs and mental health. Please pray for an answer to his needs to be found and help this young man.

 Pete and Marge. Marge is undergoing tests for breast cancer, and they are in the process of trying to get legal guardianship of their grandkids. They are both in the mid 80s. Please pray for strength and longevity to get these kids past college age.

 Aida Ramirez turned 100 this past Tuesday dec 23. She is in a wheelchair, recovering from a hip surgery, and is dealing with dementia. continue to pray for her and her family (Aida is taking care of it)

 Pat S pain management has improved with some shots. Keep Philip, who is 89 and is caring for Pat, in you prayers.

 Larry is asking for prayers for his grandchildren. I would say most of us that have grandchildren are concerned about the states of the world. The state of intolerance. The temptations out there. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to guide them in making good choices.

 Juli got a good report on her last scan and she is also in remission. So praise God. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is Good.

 Bill has been able to change the regiment where the side effects are manageable, and we are thankful for that. We are praying for healing, strength, and comfort for Jill and Bill.

 Barbra and Angie are in Alaska. Barbra has some pains and discomfort related to old age. Please lift them in prayer for strength and reduction in pain.

 Please pray for Danah, my daughter's health issues. I pray for the Lord to give Danah wisdom, peace, and calm in life and her work.

 Aaron Hook, Nancy Hook’s oldest son, needs our prayers for wisdom and healing from past life issues.

 Pray for these important men of God: Rabbi Salt, his family, and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings.

 Pray for Ilana Avramov, who is married to my cousin Nissim and lives in New York City. Ilana is home now. Her health is in a decline. She and Nissim both need our prayers.

 Pray for Steve Mock - His cognitive condition has declined, and we ask for the grace of God and His Healing and strength. Steve and Josie’s son Joseph has received a wonderful and glorious report. After the last bone marrow transplant, the report is that the doctors didn’t find any leukemia in his body! Praise the Lord!
