예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2024년 3월 2일

샬롬, 친애하는 전 세계 형제자매님들, 저는 이 예루살렘 기도 목록을 미국에서 쓰고 있습니다. 마르시아와 저는 저희 아들 배리와 며느리 베쓰 집에 머물고 있습니다.
저희가 미국에 온 이유는 제가 배리와 함께 스페인 포르투갈 가톨릭 종교재판의 희생자들의 회복을 위한 싸움과 프로그램을 다시 소생시키기 위한 아주 중요한 국제 컨퍼런스에 가야 하기 때문입니다. 이 종교재판은 스페인과 포르투갈의 유대인들을 겨냥하여 1472년에 시작되어 1821년까지 지속되었습니다. 이 종교재판 동안 유대인들은 가톨릭으로 강제 개종해야 했고 어떤 것이든 유대적 전통 풍습과 성경의 절기를 지키는 것과 코셔 음식을 먹는 것과 회당에 가는 것을 그만두어야 했습니다. 강제로 개종한 유대인은 표식을 받아야 했고, 그들의 이웃은 그들이 유대 전통을 지키는지 염탐하도록 지시를 받았습니다. 네티비야와 인시난도 드 시아오(시온으로부터의 가르침) 사역은 세계적으로 가톨릭으로 강제 개종된 이 유대인들의 후손 문제를 제기한 선구자입니다. 저희 컨퍼런스는 2024년 3월 말부터 4월 초까지 열릴 것입니다. 주요 메시아닉 유대인 기관인 유엠제이씨(UMJC)가 이 컨퍼런스에 처음으로 참여하여 이들 가톨릭 종교재판 희생자들이 다시 이스라엘 무리와 유대민족의 심장으로 회복되기 위한 과정과 기도에 참여하는 이 기회를 축하할 것입니다. 저는 여러분 모두께 다음과 같은 기도를 부탁드려야 할 것 같습니다: 1) 벨로-오리손떼에서 열리는 이 컨퍼런스에 참석하는 모든 참석자들을 위해 기도해 주십시오. 여행 시 안전과 교제 시의 기쁨과 이 대의와 자기들의 유대인 정체성을 빼앗기고 자기들이 누구인지를 감춘 진짜 유대인의 피를 가진 이들이 마침내 회복되는 일에 깊이 헌신하도록 기도해 주십시오. 2) 슐람 가족을 위해 기도해 주십시오: 마르시아, 베쓰, 배리, 저를 위해 기도해 주시되, 특히 마르시아와 저를 위해 기도해 주십시오. 저희 둘 다 하나님의 은혜의 치유의 손길이 필요합니다. 마르시아는 만성 질병인 당뇨병과 류마티스 관절염과 요즈음 치매에 대해 그렇습니다. 저는 제 몸에 두 가지 암이 있다고 진단받았습니다: 폐에 두 개의 림프종과 췌장암입니다. 저는 다행스럽게도 의사들이 1기라고 부르는 경우입니다. 그리고 의사들은 제 경우는 회복 가능성이 높다고 말합니다. 그래도 하나님의 손길이 필요하고 여러분의 기도가 꼭 있어야 합니다. 저희는 여러모로 여러분의 기도와 도움이 필요합니다. 이번 안식일 토라 포션과 하프타라(선지서에서 읽는 부분)와 신약성경 포션은 아주 특별합니다! 전 세계 회당에서는 토라 포션 “키 티싸”, 출애굽기 30:11~34:35를 읽을 것입니다. “키 티싸”는 번역하면 “네가 이스라엘 자손의 수효를 조사할 때에”입니다. 하나님으로부터 이스라엘 자손의 인구 조사 명령이 있었습니다. 몇 가지 이유로 인구 조사를 하는데요, 그 중 적잖은 이유는 군 복무를 할 수 있는 20세에서 50세 사이의 장정들을 조직하기 위한 것입니다. (또한 이스라엘 백성을 절기 및 제사와 연결시키고 이 특별한 경우에 진영의 필요를 돌보기 위해서입니다.) 선지서에서 읽는 부분은 열왕기상 18:1-39입니다. 이 선지서 포션은 역사서(사무엘서, 열왕기서, 역대기) 전체 중에서 제가 제일 좋아하는 부분 중 하나입니다. 엘리야 이야기가 제가 제일 좋아하는 부분 중 하나인 이유는 엘리야가 아주 비범하고 독특한 인물이기 때문입니다. 저는 권위에 대한 비-정통적 태도 때문에 엘리야와 동질감을 느낍니다! 신약성경에서 읽는 부분은 마가복음 9:1-10입니다. 이 본문은 열 절밖에 안 되는 짧은 본문이지만, 이 본문이 얼마나 눈길을 끄는지 주목해 보시기 바랍니다! 마가복음 9:1, “또 그들에게 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 여기 서 있는 사람 중에는 죽기 전에 하나님의 나라가 권능으로 임하는 것을 볼 자들도 있느니라 하시니라” 이 본문은 종종 오해를 받습니다. 어떤 사람들은 예슈아께서 그분의 죽음과 부활 후 예루살렘으로의 재림에 대해 말씀하시는 것이라고 생각할지도 모르겠습니다. 그러나 예슈아께서는 오순절(샤부옷)에 성령의 권능으로 하나님의 나라가 임하는 것에 대해 말씀하시는 것입니다. 사도행전 말씀입니다. 사도행전 1:6-8:
“그들이 모였을 때에 예수께 여쭈어 이르되 주께서 이스라엘 나라를 회복하심이 이 때니이까 하니 7 이르시되 때와 시기는 아버지께서 자기의 권한에 두셨으니 너희가 알 바 아니요 8 오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라” 사도행전 1장 8절은 하나님의 나라가 권능으로, 성령의 권능으로 임하는 것이 이루어지는 것입니다. 하나님의 나라는 예슈아의 죽음과 부활과 오순절에 성령을 받은 후에 이곳에 임했습니다. 하나님의 나라는 나라로서 오해할 수 없는 특징과 특성이 있었고 그래야 합니다. 법과 규정과 권리와 의무(일부의 사람들만 받고 나머지는 섬기고 세금을 내는 그런 것이 아닌)가 있습니다. 이스라엘 백성이 약속의 땅으로 들어가 각자의 몫을 받기 전에 광야에서 이들의 수효를 센 이 경우는 한 나라가 자기 국민을 어떻게 보아야 하는지를 보여주는 탁월한 예입니다. 출애굽기 30:14–15:
“계수 중에 드는 모든 자 곧 스무 살 이상 된 자가 여호와께 드리되 15 너희의 생명을 대속하기 위하여 여호와께 드릴 때에 부자라고 반 세겔에서 더 내지 말고 가난한 자라고 덜 내지 말지며” 하나님께서는 우리와 우리 사회를 동등하게, 하나님께서 우리에게서 기대하시는 대로 표현된 것으로 보십니다. 아이들은 어른들과 동일한 책임이 있는 것으로 기대되지 않습니다. 어른들은 얼마나 부유하고 가난한지가 아니라 그들이 누군지에 의해 계층이 나뉠 것으로 기대됩니다. 우리 영혼의 대속은 우리가 사회의 어느 계층에 속해 있든지 상관없이 모두 똑같습니다. 부자든, 가난하든, 박사든, 거리 청소부든 하나님께서 보시기에 모두 동등합니다. 이들의 구원과 구속의 값은 똑같이 반 세겔입니다. 우리 우주의 창조주이신 주 하나님 앞에 우리의 값은 똑같이 반 세겔입니다. 광야에 하나님의 영광이 머무는 곳, 하나님의 임재가 있는 곳인 성막을 짓는 데 모두가 낼 수 있는 것입니다. 이 명령의 결과는 이스라엘의 모든 사람에게 성막을 보고 스스로 “이 성막에 내 지분도 있다! 나도 반 세겔을 냈고 다른 사람이 가진 것만큼의 권리와 투자가 있다! 하나님께서 다른 사람을 사랑하시는 것만큼이나 나도 사랑하시는 것은 나도 다른 사람도 모두 똑같이 반 세겔을 냈기 때문이다.” 말할 수 있게 해준 것입니다. 이스라엘의 최대 문제 중 하나는 사회 각계각층별로 분열하는 것입니다. 분열은 이스라엘방위군에서 복무하고 있는 사람들 사이에 미움이 생기게 합니다. (가문에 따라) 전장에서 적과 싸우며 자녀의 목숨을 희생한 사람들과 토라를 연구한다는 미명 하에 군에 가지 않는 사람들 사이에 미움이 생깁니다. 오늘날 이스라엘에는 몇 가지 사회 문제가 더 있습니다. 이스라엘 같은 나라의 재정적 부담을 나누는 데 있어서 오랫동안 다투어오고 있는 사회적 불평등 문제는 아직도 들끓고 있는 문제입니다. 우리는 이스라엘뿐만 아니라 전 세계 모든 예슈아의 제자 공동체 안에서 우리가 메시아 안에서 형제이며 똑같이 예슈아의 피로 구속받고 똑같은 희생제물로 말미암아 죄 사함 받았음을 알아야 합니다. 모든 예슈아의 제자들이 이론적으로 동의하는 이 단순하고 평이한 진실은 확실히 실제적인 합의가 되어야 하며 행동으로 서로를 존중하는 것이 되어야 합니다. 눈을 감고 각자의 능력과 마음의 뜻에 따라 각자 분담하고 헌금하고 참여하며 성도의 교제를 나누는 회중을 상상해 보십시오. 저는 재정 문제만을 말하는 것이 아니라, 시간과 돌봄과 교제와 연로한 이들과 과부와 고아를 돌보라는 하나님의 명령에 순종하는 문제도 말하는 것입니다. 전도와 교회 성장은 다르게 보일 수 있으나, 공동체는 놀라운 일을 할 것입니다. 저는 사회주의 혹은 옛 소련 공산주의에 대해 말하는 것도, 동등하다는 것이 무엇이며 동등한 책임이 무엇인지에 대한 지도자의 명령에 대해 말하는 것도 아닙니다. 저는 메시아의 제자들의 좋은 가족 안의 참된 형제들에게 마땅히 있어야 하는 평등과 사랑을 가시적으로 생생하게 표현하는 것에 대해 말하고 있는 것입니다. 각 사람에게서 반 세겔만 거두라고 하나님께서 이스라엘에 내린 명령이 탁월한 이유는 모든 사람이 똑같은 몫을 내고 하나님의 집에 대해 똑같은 소유의식을 가지고 있으면 이러한 동등함이 여러 가지 어두운 인상과 질투와 시기와 경쟁을 일소할 것이기 때문입니다. 이렇게 거두는 것은 의무적인 몫입니다. 이번 토라 포션에는 자원하는 몫도 있습니다. 누군가 주님께서 그에게 주신 특별한 축복을 감사하여 더 드리고 싶으면, 거기에는 제한이 없습니다. 반 세겔은 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지의 은혜 앞에 우리가 하나이며 동등하다는 것을 기념하는 상징이자 기치로 우뚝 서는 것입니다. 시내 광야의 건조하고 매우 거친 환경에 있는 이스라엘 자손의 진영을 생각해 보시고 시내 광야 40년 동안 이들에게 있었던 하나 됨을 상상해 보십시오. 사도행전 2장에 묘사된 이와 동일한 하나 됨을 상상해 보십시오. 120명의 예슈아의 제자들은 모두 시온산의 한 곳에 모여 있었고 모두 서로에게 동의하며 하나님의 나라에 대한 소망으로 하나 되어 있는 유대인들이었습니다! 하마스와의 전쟁이 조속히 끝나고 모든 인질들이 안전하고 온전하게 그들의 사랑하는 가족에게로 돌아오도록 심각한 기도를 계속해 주십시오!

제 아내 마르시아 슐람을 위해 계속 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 마르시아의 기억력이 더 이상 약해지지 않도록, 관절염이 나아 재발하지 않도록, 기력이 회복되어 스스로를 돌볼 수 있도록 기도해 주십시오.

The Jerusalem Prayer List – March 2, 2024

Shalom, dear brothers and sisters around the world, I am writing this Jerusalem Prayer List from the USA. Marcia and I are staying with our Son Barry and daughter-in-law Beth.
We came to the USA because I must go with Barry to Brazil for a very important international conference to revive the battle and program for the restoration of the victims of the Spanish and Portuguese Catholic Inquisition. The Inquisition began in 1472 against the Jews of Spain and Portugal and lasted until 1821. During this Inquisition, Jews were forced to convert to Catholicism and stop any Jewish traditional practices, celebration of Biblical holidays, eating Kosher, or going to Synagogue. Jews who converted by force were marked, and their neighbors were instructed to spy and see if they kept Jewish traditions. Netivyah and the Ensinando de Siao (Teaching from Zion) ministry are worldwide pioneers in raising the issue of the descendants of those Jews who were forced to convert to Catholic Christianity. Our conference will be in the last days of March 2024 and the first days of April 2024. The UMJC, a major Messianic Jewish organization, is participating for the first time at this conference and celebrating this opportunity to take part in the process and prayer for the restoration of these victims of the Catholic Inquisition to come back to the fold of Israel and the heart of the Jewish nation. I must ask you all for the following prayers: 1) Pray for all the participants in this congress in Belo-Horizonte. Pray for safety in travel and joy of fellowship and deep commitment to the cause and to the final restoration to Israel of these true-blooded Jews that have been snatched out of their Jewish identity and forbidden to be who they are, Jews! 2) Pray for the Shulam family: Marcia, Beth, Barry, and me, especially for Marcia and me. We both need a divine healing touch of God's Grace—Marcia with her chronic illnesses, Diabetic, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and now Dementia. I have been diagnosed with two different cancers in my body: two lumps of Lymphoma in my lungs and pancreatic cancer. I am fortunate that both cases are in what the doctor calls stage 1, and the doctor says that my chances of recovery are good. But God's hand and your prayers are crucial. We need your prayers and your help in every way. This Shabbat's Torah reading and the Haftarah (The reading from the Prophets) and from the New Testament are very special! The synagogues around the world will be reading the portion "Ki Tisa" from Exodus 30:11-34:35. "Ki Tisa" is translated in English as, "When you take the sum number of the children of Israel, according to those that are numbered of them…" There was a command from God to take a census of the children of Israel. The census was for several reasons, not the least of which was the organization of those men between the ages of 20 – and 50 for military service (also to connect the people of Israel with the worship and the holidays, and the needs of the camp during these special occasions.) The reading from the prophets is from 1 Kings 18:1-39. This reading is one of my favorites in the whole body of historical books (like Samuel and Kings and Chronicles.) The story of Elijah is one of my favorite texts because Elijah is a very unusual and unique character. I identify with Elijah because of his unorthodox attitude toward authorities! The New Testament reading is from the Gospel of Mark 9:1-10. It is a short reading of 10 verses, but notice how engaging this short text is! Mark 9:1: "And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There are some here of them that stand by who shall in no wise taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God come with power." This text is often misunderstood. Some might think Yeshua spoke about his return to Jerusalem after his death and resurrection. However, Yeshua is talking about introducing the Kingdom of God with the power of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost (Shavuot). Here are the words from the book of Acts: Acts 1:6-8:
"They therefore, when they were come together, asked him, saying, Lord, dost thou at this time restore the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know times or seasons, which the Father hath set within His own authority. 8 But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Acts chapter 1:8 is the fulfillment of the coming of the Kingdom of God with power, the power of the Holy Spirit. The Kingdom of God is here after the death and resurrection of Yeshua and the receiving of the Holy Spirit on the Feast of Pentecost. The Kingdom of God has and ought to have the unmistakable character and nature of a Kingdom. There are laws, rules, privileges, and obligations (and not some people only receiving, and others serving and paying taxes.) Counting the people of Israel in the wilderness before they enter the land and receive their land portion is an outstanding example of how a nation should look at all its citizens. Exodus 30:14–15:
"Every one that passeth over unto them that are numbered, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the offering of Jehovah. 15 The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half shekel, when they give the offering of Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls." God looks at us and our society equally, expressed in what God expects from us. Children are not expected to have the same responsibility as adults. Adults are expected to be graded by who they are, not by how rich or poor they are. The atonement of our souls is the same for every segment of society: the rich, the poor, the Ph.D., and the street sweepers are all equal in the sight of God, and their salvation and atonement are the same – only half a shekel. Before the Lord God, the Creator of our Universe, our worth is the same: half a shekel, a coin that everyone could afford to give for the building of the Tabernacle in the wilderness, the dwelling of God's presence, the place of the Glory of God rests. The outcome of this command gave each one in Israel the ability to look at the Tabernacle and say to himself, "I have a part in this structure! I gave my half a shekel and had just as much right and investment as you did! God loves me just as much as God loves you because we both did equally the same half-shekel." One of Israel's biggest problems is division among the different segments of society. The division has created hate between those who serve in the Israel Defense Forces (along with their families) fighting the enemy and sacrificing the lives of their children in war and those who don't go to the army under the pretense that they are studying the Torah. There are many more severe social problems in Israel today. Still, the social inequality in sharing the financial burdens of a country like Israel that has been at war for so long is a glaring problem. We must learn not only in Israel but in every community of disciples of Yeshua around the world that we are brothers in the Messiah and redeemed by the same blood of Yeshua and have our sins forgiven by the same sacrifice. This simple and plain truth that all disciples of Yeshua agree with theoretically must become an agreement in deed and in practice and respect for each other in action. Let's close our eyes and imagine a congregation of a fellowship of the saints that shares, gives, and participates, each according to his ability and the purpose of his heart. I am not speaking only of financial issues but of time, care, fellowship, and obedience to God's command to take care and be there for the older generation, widows, and orphans. Evangelism and church growth would look different, and the community would work wonders. I am not talking about socialism or Bolshevism. I am not talking about dictation from the leadership of what it means to be equal and equally responsible. I am talking about the visible and live expression of the equality and love that true brothers in a good family of disciples of the Messiah ought to have. The wisdom of God's command to Israel to collect only half a shekel from each one is excellent because if everyone gives the same share and has the same feeling of ownership in God's house, this equality will eliminate so many dark impressions, envy, jealousy, and competition. This collection was the obligatory part; there is also in the Torah a voluntary part. If someone wants to give more to celebrate some special blessing that The LORD has given him, there is no limit. The half shekel stands as a signal and flag that celebrates our oneness and equality before the grace of our Father in Heaven! Just think of the camp of the children of Israel in that dry and very harsh environment of the Sinai desert and imagine the unity that they had for 40 years in the wilderness of Sinai. Imagine the same unity described in Acts 2. All 120 disciples of Yeshua were in one place on Mount Zion, and they were all Jews in agreement with each other, united in the hope of God's Kingdom! (Usually, three Jews today would have four political parties. They would all talk together, and not one would understand or respect the other because of some minor disagreement, like who brought a better bottle of wine for the Friday evening Shabbat Blessing. The same could be said of gentiles as well. Still, they would argue about something else, and when they leave the meeting, as is human nature, the venom will be spilled behind their backs.) The book of Acts tells us they were all united when they received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, that at one time, in that one place with the one Spirit of God that filled the room! Let us all pray for unity in the Evangelical camp in the wilderness of wealth and prosperity, all equally redeemed by the same blood of the same Jew crowned King of the Jews, Yeshua our Messiah and Lord! ______________________________________________________________________ Dear brothers and sisters, now is the time! Let us come together in prayer especially for each and every person who is dealing up close with this horrible situation. We invite each and every person who is ready and able to give to please do so, for the purpose of providing necessary aid to those suffering from the war that Israel is experiencing right now! We also encourage you to share with others you know for whom Israel is close to their hearts, who may wish to take part as well in supporting our soldiers and civilians on the frontlines. Your prayers for brothers and sisters whom you don’t know personally is a pure love and pure building of the Body of the Messiah. It is really Agape Love since you are doing this without any selfish interests and casting a vote in heaven for someone who is your brother but you don’t know him or her, and God looks at these prayers that are unselfish and true expression of love and care for another link in the long chain of love and faith that binds us together even though we might not know each other in this world. When we all get to heaven what a joy it will be to meet people that we prayed for and sometime even cried for brothers and sisters who are physically strangers, but spiritually a part of the same body of Christ that one day we will have the privilege to seat together and share: “I remember praying for you to be healed!” “I remember praying for you to be safe when you were fighting in Gaza to free the hostages from the cruel hands of the terrorists of the Hamas in Gaza.
Continue serious prayers for our war with Hamas to end soon and all the hostages to be returned safe and in one piece home to their loved ones!
Pray for our soldiers and especially for the soldiers that we know and appreciate: Emanuel the son of Victor and Ayala, Amiel and Solomon and Ezekiel Intrater and any other children of Believers and of course for all of the men and women serving this country.
I hate that our boys, the men of our congregation, still serve in the Army and most of them in reserves have to fight and use weapons and do war to protect the civilian population of Israel from terrorism driven by hate and blindness.
Please pray for the Middle East and for the world to see and understand what the reality is here in this part of the world. The lands that provided King David, the prophets, and Yeshua the Messiah – want peace with our neighbors.
But they don’t want the hand that is stretched out in peace. They want to kill all the Jews and take their land, which is flourishing and a blessing for all the world, and make it a dump like their own place in Gaza and in the Arab countries.
In Jerusalem pray for the following brothers and sisters who need divine grace and the gentle touch of the hand of God for healing and strength.

Your prayers for Alexander and Sarah, and Andrew, who were raised as believers and have left their faith behind, have been answered, the Divine Shepherd guided these members of the same family gently back to the fold, please keep praying for their general and spiritual welfare!

Pray for the congregations related to Netivyah in Brazil, to have the strength and stamina to face the challenges in front of them with courage and strength of faithfulness to the Lord, and to the vision of the restoration of the church and Israel.
Pray for the millions of victims of the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition who have been forced to convert to the Catholic church, and now want to return home to the land of Israel and to the faith of our fathers.
Pray for the state of Israel to open the doors for these lost Jews to be able to return and fulfill God’s promises to the prophet Ovadyah:
