지금 여러분의 나라를 위해 기도해 주십시오! 의료계와 날마다 코로나바이러스 감염 환자 치료에 봉사하고 지휘하는 이들을 위해 기도해 주십시오. 이스라엘과 벌써 날마다 수백 명씩 사망자가 생기고 있는 스페인이나 이탈리아 같은 나라들을 위해서도 기도해 주십시오.
또한 여러분이 계속 기도해오고 있는 다음 기도 목록에 있는 이들을 위해서도 잊지 말고 기도해 주십시오. 여러분의 기도와 여러분의 지지에 의지하는 분들이 있습니다. 오늘 예후다와 다니엘과 제이와 니르와 노아는 예루살렘의 가난한 사람들을 섬기는 일로 10시간에서 12시간 일했습니다.

주님의 권위를 배척하고 우리가 사람의 힘을 의지하는 것은 저희 나라에 하나님의 징벌일 수 있는 것입니다. 저는 이것이 하나님께서 저희에게 정하신 것이 아니기를 바라고 그렇게 기도합니다. 저는 여러분께 이스라엘과 이 땅의 예슈아의 제자들을 위해 중보해 주시기를 부탁드립니다.

The haftarah is Jeremiah 7:21 - 8:3; 9:22 - 9:23. From the New Covenant the reading is from Hebrews 8:1-6. The book of Leviticus continues the saga of sacrificing to the Lord a variety of sacrifices for a variety of reasons. Our reading starts a kind of catalogs of the different kinds of sacrifices. The first sacrifice is the “Olah” the burnt offering. The Olah is one of the most important sacrifices, and very popular to both the priests and the people. The Covenant that God gave to Israel including the sacrificial system, is the only secret ingredient that has kept the nation of Israel from extinction. If we look at history and ask why great civilizations have passed, we will find that every great civilization died because of the same ingredients. The civilizations became top-heavy, that is that the elite, nobility, rich, and powerful became too many. A small elite class holds most of the power and wealth. A second reason that civilizations died is that their problems became too complex. The last generations forgot their history and the story of their origins, causing a disconnect between the present and the past. In short, they became postmodern with the present being the most important topic of interest. They gave up their memory of and celebration of the past and because of this they couldn’t map their path to their future. We could take for an example Egypt, or Assyria, or Rome, but Let us take the Mayans. The Mayans ruled for a period of 3,500 years between 2600 BCE and 900 CE, they had an extraordinary civilization. Their kingdom ruled in the area of present-day Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Belize. Their population is estimated to have been approximately 15 million. They were great potters, farmers, architects, artists and weavers. The Mayans had a very important calendar system. Their calendar system was cylindrical and studied charts of the stars tracking their movements. They could forecast the weather. They had a unique form of writing and advanced mathematics. Their water infrastructure was a network of reservoirs, canals, and dams. Suddenly, for unknown reasons that are not easily explained, their system collapsed. In the middle of the eighth century most of the Mayan nation disappeared. What caused it? It could have been a long period of drought, a plague, wars, or epidemics that devastated their people and their industry, producing food shortages. Or maybe a combination of several of these factors, or maybe other factors. An empire that ruled for 3,500 years simply failed and disappeared. Similar to the fall of the Roman Empire, and the Babylonian Empire, and other empires, even in our present times. Now the whole world is going through an epidemic, a plague, the coronavirus that is taking a great toll, even in our own time. The coronavirus is an intellectual challenge that is breaking the health system, as well as the economy, industry as a whole, and the entire social structure. What happened in the past can happen to any civilization. The stresses to our civilization could cause the same thing to happen. The first thing that happens is a breakdown of reason and logic, and gridlock in the various systems. Instead of dealing with what is plainly visible to all, the real, immediate problems, people continue on as usual and simply pass their problems on to the next generation. Another sign is that the society falls into irrationality and can no longer deal with the facts, and there is a loss of appreciation for the importance of truth. The people can no longer cope with the facts; they take refuge in fake religious consolations. The Mayans were masters at offering sacrifices. They even offered human sacrifices. Archeologists found clear evidence of human sacrifice on a vast scale. They were unable to deal with their problems rationally and they centered their attention on placating their gods by offerings sacrifices. The Torah is very important for the preservation of the Jews and Judaism. It puts faith and religious behavior in a fascinating perspective. We had two centuries of terrible crises under Roman rule between Pompey’s conquest of the land of Israel in 63 BCE and the fall of the Bar Kochba rebellion in 135 CE. Much bigger and stronger nations disappeared under Roman occupation. They were hopelessly divided and the different factions hated each. Based on the words of the prophets even before the Great Rebellion against Rome and the destruction of the Second Temple, Jews were expecting a major disaster. Because of the prophecies they didn’t fall apart. Nor were they obsessively focused on the temple and the sacrificial system in Jerusalem. They focused on finding substitutes for sacrifice. The Jews transformed the sacrificial system into one that included the giving of charity, and of performing acts of kindness. One was gamlai Chasidim, acts of kindness. The Torah especially, provided answers and balance to the system. Rabbi Yochanan ben Zakkai comforted Rabbi Joshua, who wondered how Israel would atone for its sins without sacrifices, with the words, “My son we have another atonement as effective as this: acts of kindness, as it is written (Hosea 6:6 [NKJV]), ‘For I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’” Torah study also took over much of the burden and became as important as sacrifices. The Rabbis take the interpretation of Malachi 1:11 ([NKJV]), “In every place incense shall be offered to My name, And a pure offering,” as a reference for scholars to study the laws of sacrifice as a replacement for the Temple sacrificial cult. “One who recites the order of sacrifices is as if he had brought them”. Hosea said, “Take words with you, And return to the Lord. Say to Him, ‘Take away all iniquity; Receive us graciously, For we will offer the sacrifices of our lips.”” – Hosea 14:2,3 [NKJV] Hosea is implying that words could take the place of sacrifice. The Psalm says, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart.” – Psalms 51:17 [NKJV] The balance that the Torah and the prophets give us is of such great importance and this power of the word of God has given us the strength to survive past the great ancient empires of history. The Rabbis also said following the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem: “…If a person repents it is accounted to him as if he had gone up to Jerusalem and built the Temple and the altar and offered on it all the sacrifices ordained in the Torah…” – Vayikra Rabbah 7:2 I am sharing this with you because I believe that our civilization is being challenged by some of the same issues that we faced before in our history, and we need to refocus our lives and return to the values and promises of God in order to survive. I pray sincerely for all Christian leaders to take stock and repent and return to the basic biblical values and stop looking at the church as their private cow to be milked. These are challenging times for all of us and time for the church to be a light and to provide the charity that is sorely needed to help communities with efforts to serve and help those who are not working and not receiving an income and the sick and hospitals, and those who are in need of food… It is a time of opportunity to rise up to the occasion and to show the spirit and light of Messiah so that the world will know that we are disciples of Yeshua. Sacrifice now!
Pray for your nation now! Pray for the medical system and for those who are serving and handling the daily treatment of corona patients. Pray also for Israel and for countries like Spain and Italy and those other countries where there are hundreds of dead daily.
Also don’t forget to pray for the following prayer list for which you have been praying. There are people who depend on your prayers and your support. Today Yehuda and Daniel, Jay, Nir, and Noah, have worked 10 to 12 hours serving the poor of Jerusalem.
They gave out tons of food, tons of meat and chicken, and tons of vegetables and fruit and canned goods, rice, and packages of Matzot, and at the end of the day they loaded up the new van with packages and took them to the homes of the older people who could not come out to get their packages.
I suppose that they provided sufficient food to cover the entire Passover Holiday. The quarantine is tight and people are not able to go out to shop. Especially the older generation is not being allowed to go out.
What a ministry this “Hamotzi” food program is. I know that there will be at least 1000 people in Jerusalem who will enjoy a good Passover meal because of those who have enabled Netivyah to serve with love and to share the good news.
Eli Levi, my nephew, is no longer with us. He was buried in Sofia’s Jewish cemetery on Wednesday. The surgery last week was cancerous and just a few days after the surgery the cancer became as big and maybe bigger than the tumor that was taken out a week earlier. May Eli Levi’s memory be remembered and the Lord have mercy and grace for Eli and for all of us.
I need your prayers for my health. I thank God every day for His goodness and mercy and trust Him to restore my health so that I can continue to teach His Word. I need your prayers and Marcia needs your prayers. Danah our daughter needs much prayer for her situation and so does our granddaughter Noaam. She is a wonderful young lady with many gifts, and challenges in life. Please lift Danah and Noaam in your prayers.
Please keep Michelle O., in your prayers. Michelle is a young lady who has been diagnosed with Leukemia, and also has kidney stones. She needs our prayers.
Pray for Mr. Shukrey Lawrence, who is suffering from cancer and needs our prayers for strength and healing. Shukery also needs prayer for his sons to mobilize and take better charge of his travel agency. He has served so many brothers and sisters for more than 40 years in organization of tour groups and special projects.
Nancy and Don Hook are back in Jerusalem and working. Praise the Lord for their recovery and return home, Rachel – Jingyung Lee is going throughout Chemotherapy, Hannah Yoshida from Koyto is dealing with a serious cancer and needs your special prayers, Tiz H., Lion H. are two heroes who are on the way to full recovery but please keep them in your prayers, Ilana Avrahamov is also getting treatment and on the way to recovery, Michael Shiffman’s mother, Ruby L. from Oklahoma City is struggling with cancer already for a long season. Please pray for her healing and remission.
Sister Angela from Taiwan is also going through the chemotherapy treatments and I ask you to lift sister Angela and her family before the throne of grace and healing. Now the coronavirus has spread to more than 120 countries and it seems to be spreading inside these countries. Israel has the coronavirus and in the last week the numbers of people who have contracted the coronavirus has quadrupled and we already have 5 people dead.
They are all older men and women and it is dangerous for people who have chronic illnesses. I was to go see a professor of urology at Hadassah hospital on Mt. Scopus. I called him to cancel the appointment because the government has issued new rules restricting movement to within 100 meters of you place of residence.
Like it was in China, in Wuhan and the province of Hubei. Now the Chinese government is easing the quarantine in China and in Wuhan. In Israel the government is making the quarantine more stringent. In Italy and France, the number of the dead is already in the thousands.
Israel has sent airplanes to Peru to bail out 3000 young Israelis and bring them home. The flights were financed by donations and one flight was paid for by the Israeli government. There is no other government in the world that has done this kind of service for its citizens. The same was done in Italy and Spain, and India, and Thailand, and next is Poland. As disciples of Yeshua we all ought to stand with Israel and support the care that it is providing for its citizens stranded all around the world in the wake of the coronavirus.
The CDC has already declared this coronavirus as a worldwide plague. Let the world learn that the Lord God of Israel, and the Father of all, who loves the world so much that He gave us His only begotten Son so that no one would perish, but all have everlasting life, will never leave us nor forsake us.

There is one more major prayer request for the State of Israel. The total mess that the Israeli government is in right now has never happened before. The chances for a unity government are becoming slimmer and slimmer from day to day. The two big political parties have lost their compass and can’t find a way to square the circle and form a government.
It is truly a sad time for the Israeli government and for politicians on all fronts and of all party lines. We need your prayers for Israel and also for your own countries. It seems like this coronavirus has driven the world into a tailspin that is hard to get out of.
The enmity and hate that is buzzing out of the mouths of these politicians against the other side is so serious that I pray that God will not lose his patience with us as a nation. Leadership problems were considered by the 8th century BCE prophets as being a divine punishment.
The rejection of the Lord’s authority and our depending on the power of men is something that just might be a divine punishment for our nation. I hope not and pray that it is not something that God has ordained for us. I ask you to intercede for Israel and for the disciples of Yeshua in this land.
We too must find ways to unite and to care for and work with each other, ignoring denominational lines and looking for a restoration of order and cooperation and the unity that is absolutely necessary in such a time as this. We can’t shine a light in the darkness without being a light within the body of the Messiah first. Alone, our personal light is weak. If we unite our joint light will be as a million watt projector that will be seen over the whole land of Israel.
This is my prayer for the body of the Messiah in Israel and around the world. I don’t believe that God will abandon us, but I do believe that we, and you and every friend that Israel has in the world must pray for this nation to wake up and see the enemies of Israel rejoicing at the sorry condition of our politicians. We don’t want to have a fourth round of elections in 2020.
The coronavirus is threatening the economy of the world with a great recession and depression. Some of our major supporters have already lowered the amount of their support. They have done this not only toward Netivyah, but for all the ministries that they are supporting, and they are many.
I would like to first ask you to pray about your part in supporting Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry. Second, I would like for you who stand with us in prayer and financially to do your very best to stay on board with us and communicate. We realize that times may be hard for several years, but we also realize that God has chosen and blessed you for such a time as this.
I wish all of you, who stand with Israel and who pray for Jerusalem, the best of the Lord’s blessings and the fulfillment of all His promises to His faithful children. Those who hear God and do His will are the ones who are called wise! Those who only hear His word and don’t do it are called foolish! Let us all strive to be wise and never foolish! The best is yet to come!
