주님께서 호세아를 통해 말씀하시기 시작하셨을 때 주님께서는 호세아에게 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다:
“너는 가서 음란한 여자를 맞이하여 음란한 자식들을 낳으라
이 나라가 여호와를 떠나 크게 음란함이니라.” 호세아 1:2 호세아는 하나님의 마음을 따르는 사람인데, 하나님을 따르는 마음을 가진 사람이 왜 하나님의 명으로 음란한 여자를 아내로 맞아야 하는지 이해해보려는 것은 큰 도전입니다. 히브리어에서 여기의 이 ‘음란’이라는 단어를 사용할 때는 언제나 자기가 가진 것에 결코 만족하지 못하고 남자들을 따라 정욕을 품는 아내를 지칭합니다. 그것은 그녀의 인물됨의 일부이며 그녀 주변의 모든 것에 영향을 주는 것입니다. 그녀는 호세아를 사랑하기는 하지만 더 많은 것을 필요로 합니다. 그녀는 공허함을 채우려 합니다. 호세아 3:1에서 하나님께서는 호세아에게 이스라엘 자손이 다른 신을 섬길지라도 내가 그들을 사랑한 것처럼 그녀를 사랑하라고 말씀하십니다. 이스라엘이 다른 신들을 섬기는 죄를 회개하기를 마다하고 타락으로 기울어져 있다는 사실에도 불구하고, 우리는 하나님께서 그분의 사랑하시는 이스라엘을 계속 사랑하시는 것을 볼 수 있습니다. 하나님께서 이스라엘을 애굽으로 되돌려 보내지는 않으실지라도, 그들은 앗수르왕을 섬길 것이고 유배되어 그들의 땅에서 떠날 것이었습니다. 그러나 하나님께서는 그들을 잊지 않을 것이며 그들을 지킬 것이라고 말씀하십니다. 결국 그들은 하나님과 그들의 고향으로 돌아올 것이었습니다(호 11장). 오늘까지도 우리는 앗수르에 의해 쫓겨난 잃어버린 열 지파가 어디에 있는지 모릅니다. 이스라엘이 하나님께 대해서는 마음의 공허함을 가지고, 그보다 못한 다른 신들에 대해서는 마음이 열려있다는 점에서 호세아의 아내와 유사합니다. 사람이 하나님께 등 돌리는 것은 믿음 부족, 사랑 부족, 하나님께 대한 확신 부족에서 기인합니다. 호세아 당시 이스라엘 주변 나라들은 가나안, 블레셋, 남쪽으로는 애굽, 북으로는 앗수르였습니다. 이스라엘 백성은 다른 나라들 사이에서 그들에게 잘 해 주거나 고분고분 따라가려 했고 그러다가 그들의 신들을 받아들였습니다. 그러나 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 하나님께서는 우리의 온 마음을 원하십니다. 그것은 제가 예슈아께서 십자가상에서 “아버지 저들을 사하여 주옵소서 자기들이 하는 것을 알지 못함이니이다.” 말씀하셨을 때(눅 23:34) 본 것입니다. 오늘날의 이스라엘도 똑같은 정신으로 행하고 있습니다. 우리 믿는 자들은 예슈아께서 말씀하신 것을 받아들여, 그들을 용서하고 그들을 위해 기도해야 합니다. 그들은 주님으로부터 멀어져 있고, 공허함을 채우려고 애쓰고 있는데, 그 공허함은 그들이 주님께 가까이 다가가는 것 말고는 채울 수 없기 때문입니다. 요한계시록 6:3-7에서 우리는 네 마리의 말 - 흰 말, 붉은 말, 검은 말, 청황색 말을 봅니다. 흰 말은 다른 말보다 먼저 오는데요, 의문은 왜 그 첫 번째가 마지막이 아니었을까? 입니다. 다른 세 말은 땅에서 화평을 제하는 일, 경제 몰락, 사망과 음부를 나타냅니다. 다시 질문하는 것은 왜 흰 말이 처음일까? 입니다. 흰 말은 하나님의 말씀을 가져올 것입니다. 제가 이해하는 것은 지상에 심판이 오기 전에 온 인류, 유대인과 이방인에게 구원이 제시될 것이라는 것입니다. 이사야 19:23-25에서 우리는 애굽에서부터 이스라엘을 거쳐 앗수르까지 이르는 대로를 봅니다. 구원이 모든 사람의 마음에 거할 때, 과거에는 서로 원수였던 그 나라들이 서로에게 복이 될 것입니다. 메시아의 은혜 덕분에, 중동의 모습이 바뀔 것입니다. ------------------------------------------------------------ The Void In Our Heart
When the Lord began to speak by Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea:
“Go, take yourself a wife of harlotry
And children of harlotry,
For the land has committed great harlotry
By departing from the Lord.” Hosea 1:2 Hosea is a man after God’s heart and it’s a big challenge to understand why a man with a heart after God is told by God to take a harlot as his wife. In Hebrew, the use of the word harlot refers to a wife that is always lusting after men, never satisfied with what she has. It is a part of her personality and effects everything about her. Even though she loves Hosea, she needs more. She is trying to fill a void. In Hosea 3:1, God says to Hosea, love her just like I love the Nation of Israel who turns to other gods. Despite the fact that Israel refuses to repent for serving other gods and is bent on backsliding, we see God’s continuing love for Israel, His beloved. He will not send Israel back to Egypt yet they will serve an Assyrian King and be exiled from their lands. However, God says He will not forget them and He will protect them. In the end they will return to God and their homes. (Hosea 11) Up until today we don’t know where the ten lost tribes, exiled by the Assyrians are. Israel is a parallel to Hosea’s wife in that there is the same emptiness of heart toward God, opening it to other lesser gods. The turning of ones back to God is from lack of trust, lack of love and lack of confidence in God. During the time of Hosea, the nations surrounding Israel were the Canaanites, Philistines, on the South, Egypt and the North, Assyria. The Israelites tried to be nice, or compliant, while among other nations, hence embracing their gods. However, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob wants all our heart. That’s what I see when Yeshua, while on the cross said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34 Israel of today is walking in the same spirit and we as Believers must embrace what Yeshua said, forgiving them and praying for them because they are far away from Him and are trying to fill the void however they can except by drawing closer to Him. In Revelation 6:3-7 we see four horses, white, red, black and pale green. The white one comes before the others and the question is why the first is not the last. The other three represent taking peace from the earth, loss of economy and death and hell. Again why is the white one first? The white one will bring the Word of God and what I understand is that before judgement comes on the earth, salvation will be offered to all mankind, Jew and Gentile. In Isaiah 19:23-25 we see the highway from Egypt through Israel to Assyria. When salvation is dwelling in the heart of all men, those nations that were enemies to each other in the past will be a blessing to each other. Thanks to the blessing of Messiah, there will be a change to the face of the middle east.
