예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2021년 5월 13일

이번 주 토라 포션은 민수기 시작 부분, 민수기 1:1~4:20입니다. 선지서에서는 호세아 2:1-23을 읽고, 신약성경에서는 로마서 9:22-33을 읽습니다.
이스라엘은 가자지구발 하마스의 로켓포 공격을 받고 있습니다. 지난 36시간 동안 이스라엘을 향해 1,250발 이상의 로켓포가 발사되었습니다. 첫 발사는 예루살렘의 날 경축식 때 있었고 그 중 한 로켓포가 저희 집 근처를 타격했습니다. 저희 집에서 2 마일쯤 되는 곳이었습니다. 하마스가 예루살렘 타격을 시도한 것은 대범함 이상입니다. 이스라엘은 당연히 대응하고 있습니다. 하마스 테러 조직은 패트리어트 미사일 방어 시스템을 교란시키기 위해 육중한 폭탄을 실은 로켓포 수백 발을 동시에 발사했습니다. 패트리어트 방어시스템이 하마스 미사일 85%를 요격했지만, 15%가 요격을 피해 아파트 건물들과 개인 가정집들을 타격했습니다. 아쉬돗, 아쉬켈론 같은 도시들과 가자 부근 농장 마을들에 이 미사일 공격으로 죽은 노인과 어린 아이들이 있습니다. 벤구리온 공항(이스라엘의 주요 민간공항)은 안전을 위해 폐쇄했어야 했습니다. 이 모든 일이 정말 끔찍하지만 더 끔찍한 일은 이스라엘 사회 구조와 유대인과 아랍인의 공존이 위태롭게 되었고 위기일발입니다. 젊은 아랍인 무리가 로드(신약성경에 루다) 시의 회당들을 방화했습니다. 아랍인 무리는 자기들 이웃 유대인들의 집에 들어가 약탈하고 방화했습니다. 이 아랍인 무리가 로드 유대인들의 자동차 수백 대와 상점들을 방화했습니다. 오늘밤 유대인 무리가 아랍인들이 로드 유대인들에게 한 일을 되갚아 복수하려고 로드로 내려갔습니다. 아랍인들이 유대인들에게 린치를 가하려는 시도가 몇 번 있었는데 오늘밤에는 유대인들이 아랍인 주민들에게 린치를 가하려고 했습니다. 하마스는 이스라엘의 아랍인과 유대인 국민 사이에 쐐기를 박았습니다. 이스라엘의 유대인과 아랍인 국민은 50년 넘게 평화롭게 서로 이웃이 되어 아이들은 함께 놀고 같은 학교를 다니며 남녀는 지역사회에서 나란히 일하며 함께 잘 살아왔습니다. 개인적으로 제가 이것을 아는 것은 제가 1972년에 로드 시에서 말씀을 가르치기 시작하여 로드의 아랍인과 유대인 젊은 남녀 수십 명을 제자로 만들었기 때문입니다. 이스라엘의 상황은 모든 육체의 아버지이신 이스라엘의 전능하신 하나님 앞에 진지한 중보와 기도와 간구가 필요한 상황입니다. 가자지구의 하마스와 이스라엘 국가 사이에 전투가 벌어지고 있고 문자 그대로 수천 발의 로켓포와 미사일을 이스라엘로 발사하는 강도가 점점 더 거세지고 있습니다. 북으로는 텔아비브와 남으로는 브엘셰바 시를 지나 디모나 인근까지, 동쪽으로는 예루살렘 회랑까지 이르고 있습니다. 테러리스트의 로켓포에 높은 아파트 건물들이 타격 받았고 개인 가정집들이 파괴되었습니다. 저희는 심히 곤란에 빠졌고 이런 유혈 충돌과 분열에서 이전의 이스라엘 사회의 화합과 연합으로 돌아갈 희망은 실낱같을 뿐입니다. 네티비야는 거의 천 명에 이르는 모든 족속 및 형태의 유대인과 예루살렘 올드시티의 아랍인 몇 가족에게 계속 식료품을 주며 섬기고 있습니다. 민수기 첫 몇 장을 읽고 현재 우리 시대에 적용하는 것은 간단하지가 않습니다. 그러나 제가 이 장들에서 얻은 가장 중요한 것은 하나님께서는 모든 기록을 가지고 계시고 우리 이름을 아시며 우리 존재는 하나님의 기억과 손에 새겨져 있다는 것입니다. 하나님께서는 그분의 자녀와 이 세상에 있는 모든 사람을 이름으로 아십니다. 우리의 정체와 우리 마음은 하나님께서 아시며 그분의 자녀 목록(모든 인류)에 기록되어 있습니다. 주님께서는 하나님의 모든 자녀에 대한 계정이 있는 장부들을 기록하고 계십니다. 민수기, 애굽에서 나온 이스라엘 자손의 인구 조사에서 배울 수 있는 다른 교훈은 우리가 모두 하나님의 자녀일지라도 그것이 우리가 모두 단일 문화라는 뜻은 아니라는 것입니다. 인류의 각 족속은 각자의 정체성과 부르심과 각자의 종족과 성은 하나님께서 지으신 것입니다. 우리는 창조주께서 그분의 세상과 그분의 모든 자녀를 너무 사랑하시어 믿는 모든 자들의 죄를 사하시기 위해 그분의 아들 예슈아를 희생제물로 보내셨다는 것을 알고 우리의 하나됨과 우리의 다양함을 경축해야 할 것입니다! 민수기 첫 네 장에서 우리는 주님께서 이스라엘 자손의 나머지 지파들로부터 레위지파를 대속하심으로써 그들을 구별하여 주님의 특별한 종들이 되게 하신 것도 배웁니다. 우리는 사도 바울이 민수기 첫 몇 장에 나온 패러다임을 사용하여 유대인과 이방인을 위해 정립한 지침과 율례가 있습니다: “오직 주께서 각 사람에게 나눠 주신 대로 하나님이 각 사람을 부르신 그대로 행하라 내가 모든 교회에서 이와 같이 명하노라 할례자로서 부르심을 받은 자가 있느냐 무할례자가 되지 말며 무할례자로 부르심을 받은 자가 있느냐 할례를 받지 말라 할례 받는 것도 아무 것도 아니요 할례 받지 아니하는 것도 아무 것도 아니로되 오직 하나님의 계명을 지킬 따름이니라 각 사람은 부르심을 받은 그 부르심 그대로 지내라 네가 종으로 있을 때에 부르심을 받았느냐 염려하지 말라 그러나 네가 자유롭게 될 수 있거든 그것을 이용하라 주 안에서 부르심을 받은 자는 종이라도 주께 속한 자유인이요 또 그와 같이 자유인으로 있을 때에 부르심을 받은 자는 그리스도의 종이니라.” – 고린도전서 7:17-22 이 고린도전서 7:17-22 말씀이 오늘날 우리에게 중요한 것은 바울이 고린도 공동체를 가르치기 위해 이것을 쓴 것이 1세기였기에 그렇습니다. 이 본문 말씀은 다음과 같은 진리로 시작합니다: 주께서 각 사람에게 “소명”, 과업, 목적, 정체성을 주셨다(나눠주셨다). 우리는 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 정체성을 바꾸려 해서는 안 됩니다. 이 패러다임은 할례자든 무할례자든 유대인과 이방인이라고 쓰고 있습니다. 그러나 그 원리는 하나님께서 그들을 창조하신 대로 있는 것을 기뻐하지 않고 만족하지 않는 여러 비정상적인 인간적 노력에 대해서도 적용될 수 있습니다. 실제로 우리가 주께서 우리에게 주신 것으로부터 우리의 정체성을 바꿀 수가 없습니다. 네, 오늘날 여러분의 정체성의 일부 특성을 바꿀 수 있는 의료 절차가 있기는 합니다. 그러나 주께서 우리에게 무엇이 최선인지를 아주 잘 아시고 우리를 지으셨기 때문에 우리는 기뻐해야 할 것입니다. 여러분이 유대인으로 태어나셨어도 기뻐하시고, 여러분이 비-유대인으로 태어나셨어도 기뻐하십시오. 하나님께서는 실수하지 않으시며 여러분의 부모와 가족을 고르셨고 여러분에게 눈 색깔과 여러분의 머리에 있을 머리카락 수도 정해주셨습니다. 호세아 선지자의 글에서 읽는 부분에서 저는 오늘날 우리 사회에 아주 중요한 메시지를 배웁니다. 하나님께서는 이스라엘을 택하셨습니다! 하나님께서는 이스라엘을 신실하게 돌보셨으나 이스라엘은 이스라엘 땅에서 이웃 나라들의 우상과 신들과 혼잡해졌습니다. 그 상황은 우상숭배라고 기술되어 있습니다. 이스라엘은 우상을 받아들이고 숭배함으로써 우상숭배 죄를 저질렀고, 애굽의 종살이에서 우리를 구하시고 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱(이스라엘)에게 약속하신 땅을 주신 주 하나님을 잊었습니다. 이스라엘은 간음한 여인으로 불리고 있습니다. 남편을 배신하고 음식과 옷과 자유와 원수로부터 보호를 제공해주는 이를 잊는 여인 말입니다. 가장 경이로운 교훈은 하나님께서 이스라엘과 이혼하지 않으셨고 간음한 여인 이스라엘을 버리지 않으셨다는 것입니다. 그분께서는 이스라엘을 다시 모아들여 깨끗케 하시고 보살핌을 받게 하시고 필요를 공급해오시고 계시며 이스라엘은 다시 돌아와 하나님의 신실한 아내가 되어 이스라엘을 사랑하시고 공급하시는 분이 하나님이심을 알게 되고 하나님의 아내라고 불리게 되며 이스라엘은 하나님을 나의 남편이라고 부르게 될 것입니다!
제 아내 마르시아를 위해 기도해 주십시오! 마르시아는 6월 첫째 주에 백내장 수술이 예정되어 있습니다. 마르시아의 당뇨병이 좋은 상태가 아니어서 전반적으로 저희는 주님께서 마르시아를 고쳐주시고 힘 주시고 보호해 주시기를 기도합니다.
제 왼쪽 눈 수술은 의사들이 대성공이라고 합니다. 사실 저는 뭔가 보이긴 하는데 분명하지는 않습니다. 의사들은 그 눈이 70년 동안 멀었었기 때문에 시력을 회복하기까지 시간이 걸리고 수술로부터 회복도 시간이 걸린다고 말합니다. 네, 저는 눈 멀었다가 이제 뭔가 보기는 하나 분명하지는 않습니다. 그러나 저는 훨씬 더 잘 보게 되어 두 눈에 시력이 있는 모든 사람처럼 3차원의 시각을 누릴 수 있게 되도록 기도하고 있고 여러분도 기도해주시기 바랍니다.
인도와 브라질은 아직도 코로나바이러스로 인한 문제가 아주 심각한 상황입니다. 우리는 인도와 브라질을 위해, 특히 이 두 나라에 있는 우리 형제자매들을 위해 계속 기도해야 합니다.
저는 인도 첸나이에 있는 우리의 귀한 이삭 형제님한테서 특별 기도 부탁을 받았습니다. 이삭 형제님은 저희에게 특별히 쉴라 스티븐 자매님을 위해 기도해 달라고 부탁했습니다. 쉴라 자매님의 폐는 산소가 심히 필요한데 지금 코로나바이러스 환자들을 위한 산소를 찾기 어려운 상태입니다.
주님, 예슈아의 이름으로 인도의 모든 이들과 특히 치유와 산소공급이 필요한 쉴라 스티븐 자매님을 위해 기도합니다. 저희는 주님께서 이 자매님의 생명을 구해주시고 그녀에게 필요한 모든 것을 공급해 주시고 의료진이 쉴라를 고치고 그녀의 생명을 구하는 데 필요한 모든 것을 공급해 주시기를 기도합니다.
주님, 브라질을 위해서도 주님께서 전염병을 멈추고 생명을 구하도록 의료적 돌봄과 백신을 공급해 주시기를 기도합니다. 특히, 브라질에 있는 우리 형제자매들에게 성령님의 보호가 있도록, 그리고 그들이 하나님의 보호의 장막으로 덮여지도록 기도합니다.

The Jerusalem Prayer List – May 13, 2021

The Torah reading this week is from the beginning of the book of Numbers: Numbers 1:1 - 4:20. From the prophets we read Hosea 2:1-23. From the New Testament we read Romans 9:22-33.
Israel is under major rocket attack by the Hamas from Gaza. Over 1,250 rockets have been launched at Israel during the last 36 hours. The first salvo was fired on the Jerusalem Day celebration and one of the rockets hit near us. It was about two miles from our house. It is more than brazen for the Hamas to try and hit Jerusalem. Israel is of course responding. The Hamas terrorist organization has launched hundreds of rockets loaded with heavy explosives, all at the same time, in order to confuse the Patriot Missile Defence system. The Patriot system has destroyed 85% of the Hamas missiles, but 15% managed to get by and hit apartment buildings, and private homes. And there are old people and young children killed by these missiles in cities like Ashdod, and Ashkelon, and in the farming communities around Gaza. Ben Gurion airport (Israel’s main civilian airport) had to be closed for safety. All this is truly horrible but even more horrible is that the very structure of Israel’s society and coexistence between the Jewish and Arab communities has been compromised and is hanging on a tread. Gangs of young Arabs have burned synagogues in the city of Lod (in the New Testament, Lyda). Arab gangs entered the homes of their Jewish neighbors and looted and burned. The Arab gangs burned hundreds of cars and shops of Jews in Lod. Tonight Jewish gangs came down to Lod to return and to avenge for what the Arabs did to the Jews in Lod. There were several attempts to lynch Jews by Arabs and tonight Jews tried to lynch an Arab citizen. The Hamas has managed to drive a wedge between the Arab and Jewish populations of Israel. The Jewish and Arab populations in Israel have lived together successfully and peacefully for over 50 years, next door to each other, children playing together and going to the same schools. Men and women working side by side in the community. I know this personally because I started teaching in the city of Lod in 1972, and have discipled more than a couple of dozen Arab and Jewish young men and women in Lod. The situation in Israel is in great need of serious intercession and prayer and supplication before the almighty God of Israel and Father of all flesh. The battle between the Hamas in Gaza and the State of Israel is raging and growing into a crescendo of the firing of literally thousands of rockets and missiles into Israel. As far north as Tel-Aviv, and as far south as past the city of Beersheva and close to Dimona, and as far east as the corridors of Jerusalem. Tall apartment buildings have been hit and private homes have been destroyed by the terrorist rockets. We are in deep trouble and there is only the smallest ray of hope to return from this bloody conflict and breakdown to the former unity and harmony of Israeli society. Netivyah continues to serve and feed the close to one thousand souls of Jews of all tribes and types and also several Arab families from the Jerusalem Old City. The reading of the first chapters of the book of Numbers is not simple to apply to our present days. However, the most important part that I get from these chapters is that God has a full record and knows our names and our existence is etched on God’s memory and hands. God knows His children and all the humans in the world by name. Our identity and our hearts are known by God and set down in the lists of His children (all mankind). The Lord keeps books that have every child of God in account. The other lesson to learn from the numbers and census of the children of Israel that came out of Egypt is that although we are all children of God that doesn’t mean that we are all mono-culture. Each tribe of man keeps their identity and calling and each tribe and gender is created by God. We ought to celebrate our unity and our diversity knowing that the Creator loves His world and all His children so much that He sent His Son Yeshua as a Sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins of all those who believe! In these first four chapters of the book of Numbers we also learn that the Lord has separated the tribe of Levi to be special servants of the Lord by redeeming them from the rest of the children of Israel. We have the instructions and statutes that were established by the Apostle Paul for Jews and Gentiles that use the paradigm from the first chapters of Numbers: “But as God has distributed to each one, as the Lord has called each one, so let him walk. And so I ordain in all the churches. Was anyone called while circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? Let him not be circumcised. Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters. Let each one remain in the same calling in which he was called. Were you called while a slave? Do not be concerned about it; but if you can be made free, rather use it. For he who is called in the Lord while a slave is the Lord’s freedman. Likewise he who is called while free is Christ’s slave.” – 1 Corinthians 7:17-22 [NKJV] This text from 1 Corinthians 7:17-22 is of great importance for us today as it was in the first century when Paul wrote it for the instruction of the community in Corinth. This text started with the following truth: The Lord has given (distributed) to each one a “calling,” a task, a purpose, and an identity. We must not try to change the identity that God has given us. The paradigm uses Jew and Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised. But the principle can be applied to many deviant human endeavors that are unhappy and unsatisfied to be what God created them. In reality we can’t change our identities from what the Lord has given us. Yes, today there are medical procedures that can change some features of your identity, but because the Lord has created us with full knowledge of what is best for us, we ought to be happy. If you are born a Jew, be happy, and if you are born a non-Jew, be happy. God doesn’t make mistakes and he has chosen your parents and family and has given you the color of your eyes and the number of the hairs that you will have on your head. From the reading in Hosea the prophet I learn a very important message for our society today. God has chosen Israel! God took care of Israel faithfully, and yet Israel in the land of Israel mixed with the idols and gods of our neighbors. The situation is described as idolatry. Israel committed idolatry by going to worship and accept idols and forgot the Lord God who saved us from Egyptian slavery and gave us the land promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel). Israel is described as an adulteress. A woman who has betrayed her husband, who has forgotten who her provider of food and clothes and liberty and protection from the enemy is. The most wonderful lesson is that God didn’t divorce Israel God didn’t abandon the adulteress Israel. He gathered her and made it clear that she will be taken care of and her needs will be supplied and she will return to be God’s faithful wife and know that it is God who is her lover and provider and she will be called God’s wife and Israel will call God, my husband!
Pray for Marcia my wife! She is scheduled to have cataract surgery in the first week of June. Her diabetic situation is not so good and in general we pray for the Lord to heal and strengthen and protect Marcia.
The surgery on my left eye is defined by the doctors as a great success. In fact I do see something but nothing clear. The doctors say that it takes time for the eye that has been blind for 70 years to get back the sight, and the healing from the surgery also takes time. Yes, I was blind and now I do see something, but nothing clear. But, I pray and you pray with me that I ought to see much better and be able to enjoy sight of 3D like everyone who has sight in both eyes.
India and Brazil are still very much in serious trouble with the coronavirus situation. We need to continue to pray for India and Brazil and especially for our dear brothers and sisters in these two countries.
I received a special prayer request from our dear brother Isaac in Chennai, India. Brother Isaac asked us to pray especially for sister Sheela Stephen. Sister Sheela’s lungs are in serious need of oxygen and right now oxygen is hard to find for the coronavirus sick.
Lord I pray in Yeshua’s name for all of India and especially for sister Sheela Stephen who needs healing and special care with oxygen. We pray that You Lord save this sister’s life and provide all that she needs and all that the medical staff needs to heal and save Sheela’s life.
Lord I pray for Brazil also, and pray that you will provide the medical care and vaccine to stop the plague and save lives. Especially, I pray for our brothers and sisters in Brazil to have the Holy Spirit protection and that they will be covered by the tent of God’s protection.
Please continue to pray for Marcia. She has definitely slowed down significantly. She has very little energy and she rests most of the day. I am praying and believing in the Lord’s grace for healing Marcia and restoring her ability to function and travel with me and to be a blessing to the local congregation and community and to our brothers and friends around the world. Pray for Marcia, please! Pray also for me.
Our dear brother Yudah Chamero’s has returned from Colombia and he’s returned to his work and to caring for his family. Yudah’s father is still in Colombia and still very much needs God’s grace and a touch of God’s healing hands to keep him from succumbing to the cancer. You are our loving father and healer! Please heal Yudah’s father and keep him comforted.
Keep praying for the Rosenfeld family, the young and the old. Please prayer for a dear brother, Malcolm Thomas King, from the UK. Malcolm is already a week in hospital in critical condition.
Please consider helping Netivyah to continue caring and feeding the poor of Jerusalem and blessing the people of this city that need help to feed their children and families.
Also we need your prayers and help to continue to do the Lord's work with the youth in Jerusalem, and with the publication of the “Teaching from Zion” Magazine that goes around the world in about 4000 issues and gives people a different perspective of the life and practices of the Bible and the Early Church in Israel.
Printing several thousands of issues of the Teaching from Zion Magazine is costly. It costs several thousands of dollars to edit and do the graphics and to print and to mail. We are not charging money for every service and teaching that we do around the world. We have our M.O. from the very beginning of Netivyah in the year 1980, we want to share the Lord’s goodness free of charge. We are teaching around the world, and now we are doing it through modern technology and feeding spiritual truths and teachings. Just a few hours ago, I gave a teaching of nearly three hours to leaders from Italy. All our teachings both at home and around the world are carried out free-of-charge for those who receive them, but at high cost to Netivyah for the production and printing of these valuable teachings.
The Hamotzi program for feeding the needy of Jerusalem is ongoing and has not stopped during most of the coronavirus lockdown and quarantine. The number of needy people who come to receive food from our program has increased and overall need has increased.
Please pray for Netivyah and for the Netivyah leadership and find ways to partner and participate in the great blessing that the ministry of Netivyah is here in Israel and also around the world. Please pray and seek ways to partner and contribute financially for the Lord’s work in Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.
Both Yehuda and I continue to teach on Zoom and on YouTube and on the Netivyah Facebook every week and sometimes every day. Please pray for these teachings to bear fruit for the Kingdom of God. Enjoy the very fine teaching and enjoy learning from God’s Word. It is all free of charge!
Please continue to pray for a very special kindergarten in Jerusalem “Little Hearts.” The director of this special kindergarten is one of our own from the congregation.
Keep praying for a dear sister, Livia Schnell Nothen. Please keep brother Philip Marc in your prayers. Pray for Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias. He is the father of a dear sister in Brazil.
Pray for all those wonderful, dedicated brothers and sisters in Korea who stood with Israel and with Netivyah to revive and to not forget their first love for Israel and for Netivyah.
Danah our daughter, needs much prayer for her health and her situation. Our granddaughter Noam is a senior in high-school and working with Zoom to finish her high school. Pray for the Lord to give Noam guidance and direction for graduation from high school.
Our grandson Joseph also needs prayer to be able to get into college with proper scholarships. Please lift Barry our son and his family, Beth, and Joey our grandson to be protected and spared any contact and infection of the coronavirus. Marcia’s mother June is 91 years old and her health is failing.
I am adding a new prayer request from a leader of God’s people in India, Joy Mathew. Joy has a serious heart condition and has asked for prayer.

Keep praying for Nancy, Don and their son Aaron Hook, Rachel David, Kim’s wife – Jingyung Lee, Dr. Yuizawa, Tiz H., Lion H., Ilana Abramov, Cynthia Parveen’s sister, David Stern and his family, Anne West who is now 100 years old. Pray for Sister Yoko Nagumo in Japan. Sister Yoko had a stroke, and we pray that her recovery will be quick and complete.
From Chennai, India, please remember Pastor Isaac. Pastor Isaac is an older man with severe kidney problems and has to have dialysis several times per week. Remember Tony and Louisa Tam, and our brothers and sisters at the 611 Church, and the other churches who love God and love Israel in that great city. Remember in your prayers the Cohen family in Hong Kong.
Just a word of grace before the mercy seat of the Almighty will be heard in favor of these brothers and Um Mahmud Abu-Eid and Jimmy Abu-Eid and his family, Keijo and Salme our dear brothers in Finland, Tim Tucker, Satu-Maria, Sinni Tuuli, Anne Mirjami our dear sister and all our other brothers and sisters in Finland who need our prayers, Eva H., Patty, Andrea, Julia and Victor, and Aaron Tani, and Hillel and his wife.
We continue to pray for Zhou Wenrian, Abe family, Toru San, Takeo Sensei, Daisuke Sensei, Tomoko San, Yumi and her father Pastor Ohara, George, and Pastor Isaac in Chennai, India.
Please pray for the Rantavaara family and especially for Pekka our dear brother and for his whole family. Pekka is in advanced stages of Parkinson and needs the Lord’s healing and strength.
I have just received a prayer request from a dear sister from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her father who is 70 years old and diabetic has contracted the COVID-19 virus. His name is Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias.
Please see your prayer as casting a vote for healing before the Lord and His angels in Heaven in favor of every brother and sister that you are praying for. Just a word of grace for all of us is a refreshing spirit. Take your prayers before the mercy seat of the Almighty to be heard in favor of those that you are lifting in prayer.

Ahuva. Please pray for a dear brother who is well into his 90’s and lost his wife a couple of weeks ago. His name is Dov H. Please keep in your prayers a dear sister who attends our congregation in Jerusalem. Her name is Hadassah and she just had cancer surgery. Pray for Hadassah for a full recovery and remission from any cancer in her body.
Pray for Israel. We are going through terrible riots and violence in the streets of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv and other places around the country. These riots are motivated by the fact that much of the populace of Israel does not understand what the government is doing in relationship to the coronavirus pandemic.
I would like a new prayer request for a dear brother Yehuda Hochman who lives in the Negev Desert. Yehuda has to receive Dialysis treatment several times per week.
I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to visit our webpage and do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.

The coronavirus is threatening the economy of the world with a great recession and depression. Some of our major supporters have already lowered the amount of their support. They have done this not only toward Netivyah, but for all the ministries that they are supporting, and they are many. I would like to first ask you to pray about your part in supporting Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.
Second, I would like for you who stand with us in prayer and financially to do your absolute best to stay on board with us and communicate. We realize that times will be hard for several years, but we also realize that God has chosen and blessed you for such a time as this.
Third, please pray for a new project that we are starting in Israel in partnership with the Houses for Healing ministry from Abilene, Texas.
Please pray for our two grandchildren. They are both graduating in a few weeks from high school. They are both facing this important change in their lives. Noam our granddaughter also has her 18th birthday on May 1st. This is a very big day for Noam. She will be free from high school and also from other obligations and be privileged to make her own decisions and choices in life. Pray for Noam on this major crossroad of life for her and ask the Lord to bless Noam and to give her clear direction and guidance for what is good and right and holy in her life.
Both Noam and Joseph, our two grandchildren, are extremely talented and good students. Both are “A” students and excellent young people, but both need divine protection and guidance to make good and smart and right choices for life.
When I was 18 years old and cut off from my family because of my faith in the Messiah, I had no one on my side and no one to guide me. The Lord’s providential leading and guidance was the only guide that I had. I praise the Lord for His goodness and direction in my life.
I pray that both Joseph and Noam will have such divine strength and vision for their own future that only right and good choices will be their gift from the Almighty God of Israel and Yeshua our Lord.
I wish all of you, who stand with Israel and who pray for Jerusalem, the best of the Lord’s blessings and the fulfillment of all His promises to His faithful children. Those who hear God and do His will are the ones who are called wise! Those who only hear His word and don’t do it are called foolish! Let us all strive to be wise and never foolish! The best is yet to come!
