예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2022년 10월 27일

창세기의 창조 이야기 다음에 오는 토라 포션은 “노아흐”(“노아”)입니다. 읽는 부분은 창세기 6:9~11:32입니다. 선지서에서 읽는 부분은 이사야 54:1-10입니다. 신약성경에서는 누가복음 17:20-27을 읽습니다.
창세기 1:1에서 시작해서 6:9에서 끝나는, 이 지구 역사에서 가장 중요하고 극적인 사건들이 모두 들어있는 토라 포션처럼, 창세기 6:10에서 시작하는 토라 포션 노아흐도 극적일 뿐만 아니라, 바로 오늘까지 모든 인간 역사의 무대를 마련하기도 한 일련의 사건들이 있습니다. 우리가 토라에서, 또 고대 이교 신화에서도 읽는 사건들은 인간 역사에 어두운 그림자를 드리웠고, 여전히 드리우고 있고, 이사야도 계시록에서 사도 요한도 아주 대단한 드라마로 공표한 것과 같이 우리가 새 하늘과 새 땅을 겪을 때까지는 계속 어두운 그림자를 드리울 것입니다. 저는 끝에서 시작해서 처음으로 돌아가겠습니다. 토라 포션 노아흐는 토라에서 가장 중요한 문구 중 하나로 시작합니다: “이것이 노아의 족보니라 노아는 의인이요 당대에 완전한 자라 그는 하나님과 동행하였으며” — 창세기 6:9 노아가 하나님의 눈에 은혜를 입었고, 그가 “의인이며, 당대에 완전한 자”로 묘사되었다는 사실은 홍수 전과 후, 아인슈타인 전과 히로시마 후 인류에게 가장 중요한 메시지입니다. 왜냐고요? 그 이유는 간단하고 중요합니다: 선함, 관대함, 신실함, 공의, 사회적 관심, 및 거룩함은 모두 전 역사에 걸쳐 모든 시대, 모든 사회에서 절대적인 것이 아닌, 상대적인 것입니다. 우리 주 예슈아께서는 이 상대성을 이렇게 간단히 말씀하셨습니다: “알지 못하고 맞을 일을 행한 종은 적게 맞으리라 무릇 많이 받은 자에게는 많이 요구할 것이요 많이 맡은 자에게는 많이 달라 할 것이니라.” — 누가복음 12:48 하나님께서는 우리 각 사람을 절대적 기준이 아닌, 상대적 기준으로 달아보십니다. 저는 제가 전에 이것을 쓰면서 레위기에서 제물은 죄인의 재정적 기준을 고려하여 그에 따라 제물을 조정한다는 예를 들었던 것을 압니다. (같은 죄를 지은) 부유한 죄인은 속죄제로 제단에 소나 송아지를 가져와야 합니다. 별로 부유하지 않은 죄인은 양이나 염소를 가져올 수 있고, 좀 가난한 죄인은 비둘기 두 마리, 더 가난한 죄인은 기름 섞은 곡식가루 한 줌을 가져옵니다. 그리고 이들 모두는 죄가 사함 받고 똑같이 완전히 대속 받습니다. 제가 이 원칙을 거론하는 이유는 우리가 좀 더 정중하고 좀 더 이해심이 있다면 우리 사회와 회중(교회)과 공동체가 훨씬 더 공정하고 훨씬 더 효과적일 것이기 때문입니다. 우리 앞에 서 있는 사람은 누구인가? 이 형제나 자매는 어디에서 왔을까? 이 형제나 자매는 뭣 때문에 잘못을 저지르고 죄를 짓게 되었을까? 우리의 생각은 언제나 우리 형제나 자매가 더 잘 할 수 있도록 돕고 격려하고 더 연약한 형제가 더 강해지고 더 생산적이 되도록 힘을 동원하는 것이어야 합니다. 노아는 쓰자면 펜과 종이가 부끄러울 정도로 끔찍한 죄와 가증한 일을 저지르는 끔찍한 세대에 비해 완전했습니다. 그런데, 하나님께서 노아를 보시고 말씀하셨습니다: “그는 내 눈에 은혜를 입었다!” 21세기에 사는 우리가 이러한 주님의 눈으로 서로를 보고, 우리가 더 연약한 형제자매들을 정죄하기 전에 그럴만한 이유를 찾아보려고 한다면, 우리는 훨씬 더 현명하고 훨씬 더 하나님을 닮을 것입니다. 노아에게서 배울 또 다른 중요한 점은 매우 현대 이스라엘적인 특징입니다. 보통의 이스라엘 젊은이가 아주 어려운 일에 맞닥뜨렸을 때, 그 사람이 할 첫 말은 “나는 할 수 있어!”입니다. 그가 언제 어디서 무엇을 어떻게 이 도전을 맞아 극복할 수 있을지 도무지 실마리가 없을지라도 말입니다. 때때로 이런 특성은 답답한데요, 보통의 젊은 이스라엘인은 그가 슈퍼맨이라고, 모든 것을 안다고, 뭐든 할 수 있고, 모든 산을 오를 수 있고, 모든 장애물을 건너뛸 수 있다고 생각하기 때문입니다. 이것이 하나님께서 노아에게 특별한 나무로 아주 큰 방주를 만들고, 동물들을 모아들이고, 음식과 먹이를 장만하라고 명하셨을 때 노아의 태도였습니다. 이것은 전에 한 번도 없었고, 사실 역사 중에 반복되지 않는 일입니다. “하나님이 노아에게 이르시되 모든 혈육 있는 자의 포악함이 땅에 가득하므로 그 끝 날이 내 앞에 이르렀으니 내가 그들을 땅과 함께 멸하리라 너는 고페르 나무로 너를 위하여 방주를 만들되 그 안에 칸들을 막고 역청을 그 안팎에 칠하라 네가 만들 방주는 이러하니 그 길이는 삼백 규빗, 너비는 오십 규빗, 높이는 삼십 규빗이라 거기에 창을 내되 위에서부터 한 규빗에 내고 그 문은 옆으로 내고 상 중 하 삼층으로 할지니라.” — 창세기 6:13-16 우리가 보는 다음 일은 노아의 반응입니다: “노아가 그와 같이 하여 하나님이 자기에게 명하신 대로 다 준행하였더라.” — 창세기 6:22 노아는 오늘날의 이스라엘 사람들과 아주 비슷합니다! 이 특성 때문에 이스라엘이 “창업 국가”로 여겨지는 것입니다. 이스라엘은 매우 떠들썩한 인구가 있는, 이민자들과 나치 홀로코스트 생존자들의 자녀들로 이루어진 아주 작은 나라입니다. 하나님께서 우리를 달아보시는 방식은 절대적 기준이 아닌, 위대한 예술가가 자신의 그림이나 조각을 바라보는 것 같은 기준입니다. 예술가의 눈에는 무엇이든 완벽하지 않게 보입니다. 하나님의 작품은 그분께서 이랬으면 좋겠다 하는 만큼 완벽하지 않습니다. 한 고객이 예술 작품을 사러 와서 작품에 결함 같아 보이는 어떤 것을 보고, 그 결함을 지적하면, 그 예술가는 “고객님, 결함 같아 보이는 이것이 사실 이 작품을 아주 특별하고 아주 비싸게 만드는 것입니다.”라고 말합니다. 누구든 이 대상물의 사진을 찍을 수는 있겠지만, 이 작품이 특별한 이유는 우리 모두가 가진 결함을 감추지 않고 그것을 두드러지게 만든 이 예술가가 얼마나 위대한지를 드러내기 때문입니다. 제 생각에는 하나님께서 바로 이렇게 우리를 보십니다. 예술가처럼, 우리 각 사람을 아주 독특하고 특별하도록 하셔서 우리 각 사람이 예술 작품 중 하나, 하나님의 손으로 특별하게 디자인하시고 특별하게 만들어내신, 때로 좀 불완전하더라도, “찾아보기 힘든 독특한 존재”가 되게 하십니다. 저는 개인적으로 예슈아의 제자들의 가족들, 하나님 나라의 거듭난 성도들 중에 자녀들이 심각한 건강 문제나 영구적 장애가 있는 가족들을 압니다. 처음에는 그들의 삶에 불이 꺼진 것 같아 보입니다. 나중에 그들은 영구적 장애가 있는 아이가 있는 것이 그들의 삶을 더 낫게 바꾸어주었고, 정상적인 건강한 아이가 있을 때라면 이해받을 수 없었을 그런 차원의 사랑을 받았다고 말합니다. 성경의 모든 책에는 큰 자에서 작은 자까지 그 사람의 행위에 죄가 없거나 완벽한 인물은 하나도 없습니다. 성경의 위대한 영웅들 중에는 심각한 결함과 죄가 있는 사람들도 있습니다. 다윗왕 같은 그런 사람들은 십계명 중 아홉 개를 위반한 대단히 죄를 지었지만, 하나님께서는 그를 사랑하셨고 그에게 메시아의 조상이 되는 영광을 주시기까지 하셨습니다. 우리는 노아를 성도이며, 영웅이며, 살아남은 인류의 조상으로 여깁니다. 노아는 홍수 후에 죄를 지은 다음에도 성경의 영웅으로 남아있습니다. 모세는 그가 죄를 짓고 그의 아들들에게 할례를 행하지 않은 후에도 영웅이 아닌 적이 없었고 하나님의 쓰임을 받았습니다. 우리 형제자매들이 문제가 있고 죄가 있더라도 그들에 대해 덜 비판적이 되도록 이스라엘의 주 하나님으로부터 배우도록 합시다. 우리는 그 사람이 누구고, 어떤 상황에서 죄를 짓고 문제가 되었는지 고려하고, 그들이 현실적 관점에서 자신을 보고 명예롭게 행동하며 공동체의 형제자매들의 격려로 언제나 더 잘 행동하고 향상되도록 도와야 합니다. 이번 안식일 하프타라(선지서에서 읽는 부분)는 이사야 54:1-10입니다. 이사야가 살던 시대(주전 8세기) 이스라엘은 안팎으로 심각히 큰 문제에 맞닥뜨려 있었고, 제사장들은 부패했었습니다. 처음 몇 장부터 이사야는 이스라엘에 불리한 아주 가혹하고 어려운 예언을 합니다. 그렇지만 다음 구절에서는 이사야가 현재의 현실을 극복할 아주 고무적인 희망과 활기와 힘을 이스라엘에 줍니다: “잉태하지 못하며 출산하지 못한 너는 노래할지어다 산고를 겪지 못한 너는 외쳐 노래할지어다 이는 홀로 된 여인의 자식이 남편 있는 자의 자식보다 많음이라 여호와께서 말씀하셨느니라 네 장막터를 넓히며 네 처소의 휘장을 아끼지 말고 널리 펴되 너의 줄을 길게 하며 너의 말뚝을 견고히 할지어다 이는 네가 좌우로 퍼지며 네 자손은 열방을 얻으며 황폐한 성읍들을 사람 살 곳이 되게 할 것임이라 두려워하지 말라 네가 수치를 당하지 아니하리라 놀라지 말라 네가 부끄러움을 보지 아니하리라 네가 네 젊었을 때의 수치를 잊겠고 과부 때의 치욕을 다시 기억함이 없으리니 이는 너를 지으신 이가 네 남편이시라 그의 이름은 만군의 여호와이시며 네 구속자는 이스라엘의 거룩한 이시라 그는 온 땅의 하나님이라 일컬음을 받으실 것이라 여호와께서 너를 부르시되 마치 버림을 받아 마음에 근심하는 아내 곧 어릴 때에 아내가 되었다가 버림을 받은 자에게 함과 같이 하실 것임이라 네 하나님께서 말씀하셨느니라.” — 이사야 54:1-6 이사야 시대의 역사적 맥락과, 지도자들과 제사장들과 이스라엘 백성의 대단한 죄를 생각하면서, 지금 이사야는 “약을 목에서 넘기도록 설탕을 한 수저” 주고 있는 것입니다. 우리는 지난 주에 이스라엘에서 막 숙콧(장막절)을 기념했습니다. 예루살렘 거리에는 깃발을 들고 이스라엘을 지지하며 유대인들 편에 선다는 포스터를 든 기독교인들로 가득 찼었습니다. 인도네시아와 말레이시아, 짐바브웨 같은 아프리카 국가들과, 알래스카, 핀란드, 칠레, 브라질 등 멀리서 온 기독교인들도 있었습니다. 축하는 두 가지였습니다: 2000년 동안 추방되어 흩어져 있던 유대인이 돌아온 것과, 이스라엘이 이사야와 다른 고대 선지자들이 거의 2800년 전에 예언한 이 약속을 성취하고 있는 이 경이로운 미래와 소망을 축하한 것입니다. 오늘 여러분이 이스라엘에 와서 다녀보면 여러분은 이 홀로된 여인이 세계에서 더 성공하고 더 기여하는 나라 중 하나로서 노래하고 기뻐하는 것을 볼 수 있을 것입니다. 우리를 미워하며 날마다 우리의 소멸을 보고자 하는 일곱 나라로 둘러싸여 날마다 우리의 생존에 큰 어려움이 있음에도 불구하고, 우리는 여기에서 떨쳐 일어나 성장하며 번영하며 모든 역경에 맞서 우리 자신을 지키고 있습니다. 하나님의 말씀과 그분의 약속은 살아 있고 날마다 효력이 있으며, 매일 중동의 먹구름 중에 한 줄기 빛입니다. 에스더서에서 말한 바와 같이, “유다인에게는 영광과 즐거움과 기쁨과 존귀함이 있는지라.” — 에스더 8:16 친애하는 기독교인 형제자매님들, 이스라엘과 함께 서 주시고, 예루살렘과 함께 서 주시고, 유대민족의 구원을 위해 기도해 주십시오. 이스라엘은 하나님의 말씀에 이 민족은 구원받을 것이라는 수많은 하나님의 약속이 있는 유일한 나라입니다. 저희와 함께 서 주시고 이스라엘과 이 땅에 있는 여러분의 형제자매들을 지지해 주십시오. 이들이 선을 행하고 예루살렘과 이스라엘의 가난한 사람들을 축복하고, 더 큰 이스라엘에 기쁨과 영광과 축복을 가져다줄 수 있도록 힘을 실어주십시오.

The Jerusalem Prayer List – October 27, 2022

The Torah portion that comes after the Genesis story of the creation is “Noach” (“Noah”). The reading is Genesis 6:9-11:32. From the prophets the reading is from Isaiah 54:1-10. From the New Testament we read from Luke 17:20-27.
Like the portion of Genesis that starts from chapter 1:1 and ends with chapter 6:9, and has all the most important and dramatic events in the history of this Earth, the portion of Noach that starts from Genesis 6:10 has another set of events that are not only dramatic, but also set the stage for all of human history until this very day. The events that we read in the Torah, and also in the ancient pagan myths, have and still do cast a dark shadow on human history and will continue to do so until we experience the New Heaven and the New Earth, as both Isaiah and the apostle John in Revelation have announced with such great drama. Please let me start with the end and return to the beginning. The Noach Torah portion starts with some of the most important words in the Torah: “This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.” — Genesis 6:9 [NKJV] The fact that Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord, and that he is described as “a just man, perfect in his generations” is a message of the greatest importance for humanity before the flood and after the flood, and before Einstein and after Hiroshima. Why? The reason is simple and important: goodness, generosity, faithfulness, righteousness, social concern, and holiness are all things that are relative and not absolute in any age and in all societies throughout history. Yeshua our Lord states that relativity in a simple statement: “But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.” — Luke 12:48 [NKJV] God measures each one of us not by absolute standards, but by relative relational standards. I realize that I have written this before and have given examples from the book of Leviticus and the sacrificial laws that take into consideration the financial standard of the sinner and adjust his sacrificial obligation accordingly. The rich sinner (who sinned the same sin) has to bring a bull or a calf to the altar for this sin offering. The not-so-rich can bring a sheep or a goat, and the poorer person can bring two pigeons, and the still-poorer person can bring a handful of grain anointed with oil. And for every one of these cases the same sin is forgiven and atoned for equally and completely. I am bringing this principle up because our society and our congregations and communities would be so much more just and so much more effective if we could be more gracious and more understanding. Who is standing in front of us? Where is the brother or sister coming from? What were the circumstances that brought this brother or this sister to make the mistakes and sin? Our thinking has to be always seeking to help and to encourage our brother or sister to do better and to mobilize the weaker brother to become stronger and productive. Noah was not a man that was perfect. Noah was perfect in relationship to such a horrible generation that committed such horrible sins and abominations that would make the pen and paper used to write these sins ashamed. Yet, God looked at Noah and said: “He finds grace in my sight!” We in the 21st century would be much wiser and much more Godlike if we could look at each other with these eyes of the Lord, and seek to justify our weaker brothers and sisters before we condemn them. Another very important point to learn from Noah is a very much modern Israeli characteristic. When an average Israeli young person is faced with a very difficult task, the first thing that he would say is, “I can do it!” Even if he doesn’t have a clue of how and what and where and when this challenge can be met and overcome. At times this characteristic is frustrating because the average young Israeli thinks that he is Superman, he knows everything, and can do anything and can climb every mountain and jump over every hurdle. This was Noah’s attitude when God commanded him to build a very big ship made from special wood, and collect the animals, and provide food and sustenance. This was something that was never done before, and in fact is not repeated in history. “And God said to Noah, ‘The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks…’” — Genesis 6:13-16 [NKJV] The next thing that we see is the following response of Noah: “Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.” — Genesis 6:22 [NKJV] Noah is so much like many Israelis today! This characteristic is the reason why Israel is considered to be the “startup nation”. Israel is a very small country with a very troubled population, made up of immigrants and children of survivors of the Nazi Holocaust. God’s way of measuring us is not by absolute standards, but by the standard of a great artist that looks at his paintings or sculptures and he sees that something is not perfect in the eyes of the artist. His work is not just as perfect as he would have liked it to be. A customer comes to buy the work of art, and sees what seems to be an imperfection in the work. The customer points out the imperfections and the artist says: “Dear customer, this what looks like an imperfection is actually what makes this work of art so special and so expensive.” Anyone can take a photograph of the object, but this art is special because it reveals how great the artist is that he didn’t hide the imperfections that we all have, but made them prominent. In my opinion, this is how God looks at us. As the artist that allowed each one of us to be so unique and special that each one of us is a work of art, “one of a kind”, specially designed and specially produced by God’s hand, even at times with some imperfections. I personally know families of disciples of Yeshua, born-again saints in God’s kingdom, that have children with serious health challenges and permanent disabilities. At first it seems like the light of their lives was turned off. Later, they say that having a child with permanent disabilities has changed their lives for the better and has given them a special dimension of a kind of love that can’t be understood when having normal and healthy children. In the whole Bible there is not one character, from the greatest to the least, that is sinless or perfect in his behavior. Some of the greatest heroes of our Bible are people with serious imperfections and sins. Some, like King David, sinned big-time and broke nine of the Ten Commandments, and God loved him and honored him to be the forefather of the Messiah. We consider Noah a saint, a hero, and the father of the surviving humanity. Noah stayed a hero in the Bible even after he sinned after the flood. Moses didn’t stop being a hero and being used by God after he sinned and didn’t circumcise his sons. Let us learn from the Lord God of Israel to be less judgmental of our brothers and sisters when there are problems with them, and sin. We must take into account who is the person and what are the circumstances of their sins and problems and seek ways to help them to see themselves in a realistic light and conduct themselves honorably and always seek to do better and improve with the encouragement of our brothers and sisters in the community. The Haftarah (the reading from the prophets) this shabbat is from Isaiah 54:1-10. In the days of Isaiah (8th century BC) Israel is facing seriously big problems, both from outside and inside, both politically and economically, and the priesthood was corrupt. From the first chapters, Isaiah has some very harsh and difficult prophecies against Israel, but here Isaiah is giving Israel a big boost of hope and energy, strength to overcome the present reality: “‘Sing, O barren, You who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, You who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate Than the children of the married woman,’ says the Lord. ‘Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited. Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore. For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth. For the Lord has called you Like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Like a youthful wife when you were refused,’ Says your God.” — Isaiah 54:1-6 [NKJV] Considering the historical context of Isaiah and the big-time condemnation of the leaders and the priests and the people of Israel, now Isaiah is giving his “spoon full of sugar to make the medicine go down”. We just celebrated the feast of Sukkot in Israel last week. The streets of Jerusalem were full of Christians with flags and posters of support for Israel and of standing with the Jewish people. Christians came from as far as Indonesia and Malaysia, from African countries like Zimbabwe, and from as far as Alaska, Finland, Chile, and Brazil… The celebration was twofold: the returning of Jews from the dispersion and exile of 2000 years, and the wonderful future and hope of Israel becoming a fulfillment of all these promises that Isaiah and the other classical prophets prophesied near 2800 years ago. Today you come and visit Israel and Jerusalem and you can see that the barren one is singing and celebrating as one of the more successful and more contributing nations in the world. In spite of the huge difficulties that we have daily in our existence, surrounded by seven nations who hate us and daily seek our demise, we are here and kicking and growing and prospering and defending ourselves against all odds. The word of God and His promises are living and in effect daily, and there is every day a silver lining in the dark clouds of the Middle East. As the book of Esther says: “The Jews had light and gladness, joy and honor.” — Esther 8:16 [NKJV] Dear Christian brothers and sisters, stand with Israel, stand with Jerusalem, pray for the salvation of the Jewish nation. Israel is the only nation in the word of God that has numerous promises of God that this nation will be saved. Join and stand with us and support Israel and support your brothers and sisters in this land. Allow and enable them to do good and bless the poor of Jerusalem and Israel, and bring joy and light and blessings to greater Israel.

Ilana Ahijervie, a dear sister who is 98 years old and suffering from memory problems.
Lea Korky, a dear sister who is 89 years old and served for many years as a nurse in the Sha’arei Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
Sarit, a sister born in Jerusalem, over 87 years old, lives alone. Has no close family, and suffers from several old-age illnesses.
Yehuda Hochman, is a dear older brother living in the Negev desert with some illness that needs healing.
Please put Marcia Shulam and me, Joseph Shulam in your daily prayers. We trust in the Almighty God His mercy is sufficient for us, but prayer by honest and sincere brothers and sisters can surely wake up God’s mercy and at least stop the deterioration of Marcia’s memory.
My dear wife is suffering from severe diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis and now also from memory loss. She was diagnosed with dementia. Childhood-onset Diabetics are susceptible to memory problems.
Marcia can’t be left alone, and I must stay home most of the days of the week, and if I leave the house someone has to come and stay with Marcia to make sure that she takes her insulin. We are praying for someone to live with us and help us with caring for Marcia.
Pray for Adam R., Adam works in Netivyah as the media director and he, like Yehuda and Daniel, has been raised in Netivyah congregation in the Galilee. Adam has lost much of his hearing as a result of a virus. Pray for Adam and his family of 8 children.
Pray for Adam’s father and mother, Barry and Dalia. They too have some health problems and challenges.
Pray for Miriam and for Hannah, her daughter. Miriam is a dear sister and has lost her husband recently. Pray for Daniel S. and his children. Our dear leader in the Ro’eh Israel congregation, Gary, and his health, and for his wife Melanie and their family.
Pray for Um Mahmud Abu-Eid and Jimmy Abu-Eid and all of the family. This is a dear family of old friends that needs healing and wisdom for the children and for their work.
Pray for Margareta, a dear sister who lives in Mea Shearim in Jerusalem. This sister needs serious prayer for healing of deep stress and depression, and the comfort of God’s grace.
Please pray for the Romero family who live deep in the Negev desert. It is hot there and they are far from our congregation, we miss them, but we wish them a wonderful summer.
Pray for the Ro’eh Israel congregation and the leadership of Netivyah. I have received my last check in the end of August. I am no longer employed by Netivyah. I am continuing the Lord’s work without stopping or slowing down for one minute. I need your prayers because from January I will be living on a pension. Until January, by God’s grace!

Pray for the millions of victims of the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition who have been forced to convert to the Catholic church, and now want to return home to the land of Israel and to the faith of our fathers.
Pray for the state of Israel to open the doors for these lost Jews to be able to return and fulfill God’s promises to the prophet Ovadyah:
“But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. The house of Jacob shall be a fire, And the house of Joseph a flame; But the house of Esau shall be stubble; They shall kindle them and devour them, And no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau, For the Lord has spoken. The South shall possess the mountains of Esau, And the Lowland shall possess Philistia. They shall possess the fields of Ephraim And the fields of Samaria. Benjamin shall possess Gilead. And the captives of this host of the children of Israel Shall possess the land of the Canaanites As far as Zarephath. The captives of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad Shall possess the cities of the South. Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion To judge the mountains of Esau, And the kingdom shall be the Lord’s.” — Obadiah 1:17-21 [NKJV]

Pray for a dear young man, Paulo, from Curitiba, Brazil, who is seriously needing our prayers for sanity and mental health.

Lift for blessing and healing Jonathan B. and his wife Aviva and their new baby, his mother, and his brother Daniel. Pray for these very important men of God: Rabbi Salt, his family, and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings.
Pray a blessing for a dear sister Angela Isby and her situation. Pray for Tiz H. and Lion H., and for Nissim and Ilana Avramov.
Pray for The Mock family, especially Steven (Asher) and Joseph Mock.
Pray for three women of God in Canada who need healing, Lynda, Sandy and Joanne.
I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to visit here do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.
Please pray for Netivyah and for the good work that Netivyah is doing in Israel and around the world.
We need more workers because of the challenges and needs and opportunities to bless the King Yeshua and His Kingdom down here on Earth and bless the poor people of Jerusalem and produce more materials, books, and magazines.
