예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2023년 3월 3일

오늘 우리는 성경의 절기 중 겨울/봄 순환주기로 들어갑니다. 다음 주에는 부림절이 있고 한 달 있으면 유월절입니다.
그래서 이번 안식일은 샤밧 자코르(기억의 안식일)라고 부르는 특별한 안식일입니다. 우리는 우리 선조들이 시내 광야에서 40년 동안 방랑할 때 아말렉 족속이 우리 선조들에게 어떻게 했는지를 기억합니다.
아말렉 족속은 성경 역사 내내 이스라엘의 주적 중 하나입니다. 이것은 그들이 지면에서 없어졌다는 의미가 아닙니다. 제가 생각하기에 그들은 이름만 바뀌었고 특질은 결코 바뀌지 않았습니다.
오늘날 아말렉의 화신은 성경의 아말렉의 사상과 매우 흡사한 사상을 공유하고 있는 이슬람 지하드와 알-카이다와 합쳐진 아이시스라고 부르는 살인 집단이라고 말할 수 있을 것입니다.
이번 안식일에 다루는 특별 포션 중에서 아말렉이 우리에게 어떤 일을 했는지 기억하라 명한 신명기 25:17-19입니다: “너희는 애굽에서 나오는 길에 아말렉이 네게 행한 일을 기억하라 곧 그들이 너를 길에서 만나 네가 피곤할 때에 네 뒤에 떨어진 약한 자들을 쳤고 하나님을 두려워하지 아니하였느니라 그러므로 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 기업으로 주어 차지하게 하시는 땅에서 네 하나님 여호와께서 사방에 있는 모든 적군으로부터 네게 안식을 주실 때에 너는 천하에서 아말렉에 대한 기억을 지워버리라 너는 잊지 말지니라.” 인류에 대한 증오와 유혈의 잔학성을 더하는 것 말고는 아무런 유익을 가져오지 않음을 생각하지도 않고 살인과 잔인의 사고방식과 사상을 채택하고 계속하여 모방하고 온 세상에 자기들만의 사상을 퍼뜨리는 일만 힘쓰는 이러한 무법의 잔인하고 악한 조직들을 기억하는 것은 유대인이든 비-유대인이든 메시아 예슈아의 제자들인 우리 모두의 의무라고 저는 생각합니다.
우리는 하나님의 모든 말씀을 진지하게 받아들여야 합니다. 우리가 진지하게 받아들여야 하는 것 중에 이스라엘을 하나님의 지구의 지면에서 지워버리겠다는 살인적이고 사악한 사상을 채택한 이러한 집단들에 대한 하나님의 명령이 있습니다.
2023년 3월 4일 안식일에 예루살렘에서 읽는 정규 토라 포션은 출애굽기 27:20~30:10입니다. 선지서에서는 사무엘상 15:2-34과 에스겔 43:10-27을 읽고, 신약성경에서는 디도서 1:5~2:15을 읽을 것입니다.
출애굽기 27:20~30:10의 토라 포션은 이번 안식일에 가르치는 가르침과 설교에서 일반적으로 간과됩니다. 이 포션이 간과되는 이유는 이번 주 토라 포션의 가르침과 설교 대부분은 보통 앞의 본문을 가지고 하기 때문입니다. 전 세계 대부분의 회당에서 집중하는 것은 사실 아말렉에 대한 기억을 지워버리라고 우리에게 명하는 샤밧 자코르의 이 특별 본문입니다.
그러나 친애하는 형제자매님들, 저도 아말렉에 대한 이 명령이 부림절 직전 안식일에 특히 적합하다고 믿지만, 이번 안식일의 정규 토라 포션을 기억하는 것이 더 중요하다고 생각합니다.
이 토라 포션은 다음과 같은 문구로 시작됩니다: “너는 또 이스라엘 자손에게 명령하여 감람으로 짠 순수한 기름을 등불을 위하여 네게로 가져오게 하고 끊이지 않게 등불을 켜되 아론과 그의 아들들로 회막 안 증거궤 앞 휘장 밖에서 저녁부터 아침까지 항상 여호와 앞에 그 등불을 보살피게 하라 이는 이스라엘 자손이 대대로 지킬 규례이니라.” (출애굽기 27:20–21) 제 생각에는 이 토라 포션이 옛 아말렉과 새로운 여러 신흥 아말렉의 방해와 근절보다 훨씬 더 중요합니다. 그 이유는 간단합니다. 어둠을 몰아내는 가장 좋은 방법은 빛으로 하는 것입니다. 출애굽기 토라 포션은 성막 안에 순수한 기름으로 등불을 밝히는 것으로 시작됩니다. 등불을 밝히는 기름 역시 순수합니다.
사람의 마음에 심겨진 어둠과 미움과 시기심과 악의 성향은 끝이 없습니다. 그리고 하나님의 형상과 모습으로 지음 받은 우리 같은 타인을 죽이는 살인 기계의 의도와 미워하는 이유에도 끝이 없습니다. 이스라엘은 역사의 동이 틀 때부터 지금까지 여러 모습으로 나타난 아말렉과 싸우며 죽이고 폭파해 왔습니다. 지금은 더 많은 나라들이 유대인을 죽이고 이스라엘을 멸하고 이스라엘의 기억을 지워버리고자 하는 마음을 그들의 국기에 새기고 목적으로 삼고 있습니다. 유대인들은 세상에서 반유대주의와 유대인 증오를 그치게 하기 위해 할 수 있는 모든 일을 힘써 왔습니다. 독일 나치 홀로코스트도, 악한 하만이 유대인들을 살아 있게 할만한 가치가 없다고 바사(페르시아, 오늘날의 이란) 왕을 설득하여 바사 제국 127도에서 모든 유대인을 죽이는 것을 허락 받은 것과 똑같은 이유로 수백만의 유대인의 목숨을 앗아갔습니다. 그러한 살인적인 증오는 결코 끝나지 않았고, 유대인들을 죽이고 유대인들을 유럽에서 몰아내려는 의제를 가진 네오-나치 증오 그룹도 하나 이상 있습니다.
예슈아(예수님)의 제자들인 우리는 유대인을 미워하지 않고는 만족이 없는 원수들과 일그러진 생각을 가진 사람들의 대의를 멈추기 위해 죽음과 증오와 파괴의 도구를 사용할 수 없습니다. 아랍 테러 조직들과 팔레스타인 테러 단체들도 이스라엘과 화해하면 많은 것을 얻을 것입니다. 그러나 그들은 계속해서 테러와 살인과 증오를 선택하여 무고한 민간인을 죽임으로써 유대인을 죽이고 이스라엘에 대한 테러에 굶주린 저들의 배고픔과 갈증을 채우고 있습니다.
창세기부터 요한계시록까지 하나님의 말씀을 믿는 우리 유대인과 기독교인들은 하나님께서 우리에게 명하신 길을 택해야 합니다. 우리를 지키는 데 필요한 우리의 가장 중요한 무기가 총이나 전투기나 탱크나 잠수함이 아닌 그 길은, 어둠을 몰아내는 빛을 밝히는 것입니다. 이번 안식일 토라 포션이 우리에게 순수한 기름으로 등불을 켜라고 명한 그 불은 순수하고 진심 어린 마음과 깨끗한 양심으로 밝히는 불입니다.
하나님의 택한 백성이며 아론과 레위인들이 이스라엘을 섬겼던 것처럼 세계 열방을 섬겨야 하는 거룩한 제사장들인 우리는 이 세계를 창조하신 하나님을 보여주고 보고하고 선포해야 합니다. 하나님께서는 세상 만물을 사랑으로 창조하셨습니다. 그 사랑은 인류에 대한 하나님의 마음을 가진, 미움으로 부추겨지는 이 어둠의 세계에 빛을 비추고 선함과 사랑과 자애를 퍼뜨리는 그분의 독생자(그분과 같은 유일한 이), 죽은 자 가운데 부활한 장자, 다윗의 후손을 보내주신 사랑입니다.
우리의 사랑의 구주 예슈아께서 우리에게 악과 싸우라고 가르치신 유일한 방법은 선을 행함으로 싸우는 것입니다. 미움을 멸하는 유일한 방법은 사랑으로 멸하는 것입니다. 유감스럽게도 이곳 중동의 저희 이웃 나라들 중 몇은 사랑과 은혜와 인권과 친절에 알레르기가 있습니다. 이스라엘과 유대인에 대한 깊은 미움에 빠져 있는 과격 테러 집단의 생각을 바꿀 수 있는 선과 사랑은 많지 않습니다.
미움과 반유대주의의 태도는 사실 유대인을 멸하려는 하만의 증오와 유대인에 대한 나치의 증오와 심지어 다른 유대인을 미워하는 일부 유대인에게로 다시 돌아오는 마귀의 가장 효율적인 도구입니다. 결국 미움은 언제나 미움을 휘둘러 다른 사람들에 대해 사용하고자 하는 사람들에게로 되돌아오는 도구입니다.

증오에 굶구려 아기 침대에 있는 아기까지 죽이는 것으로도 성이 차지 않는 자에게 사랑을 보여주는 것은 어려운 일입니다. 여러분이 수십 년 동안 일자리와 전기와 물과 식량과 사업과 병원과 자녀들에게 대학교 입학 기회를 주었는데 여전히 그들이 가진 미움을 1온스도 없애지 않은 사람들에게 어떻게 사랑을 보여주어 그 미움을 하나님의 사랑으로 바꿀 수 있을까요?
죽음을 경축하는 사람들에게 어떻게 삶을 고무할 것인가는 답하기 힘든 질문입니다. 마음에 그러한 사랑이 있는 사람들은 틀림없이 우리 주 예슈아의 명령에 순종할 것입니다. 우리 원수를 위해 기도하고, 우리에게 저주하는 자들을 축복하고, 어둠 가운데 살며 어둠을 사랑하는 사람들에게 비추는 빛이 되라는 명령에 순종할 것입니다.
저희 회중(교회)에는 가자지구, 요르단, 팔레스타인, 이라크, 쿠르드, 심지어 시리아에서 수백 명의 아랍 아기들을 구해내 이스라엘 의료 서비스를 받게 해주고, 전 같았으면 죽었을 심장병이 있는 아기에게는 수술을 해주어 걸을 수 있게 해주고 유치원에 갈 수 있게 해주는 지체들이 있습니다. 지금 네티비야는 저희 회중의 이러한 지체들과 동역하고 있습니다.
저희는 아랍 아기들을 구해내는 이 사역을 하고 있는 저희 지체들과 동역해오고 있고, 그들과 미국 텍사스주 아빌레네의 치유의 집과 동역하여 예루살렘에서 가장 큰 병원에서 별로 멀지 않은 아파트 네 채를 세내어, 유대인 및 아랍인 의사들에게 아주 복잡한 수술을 받으러 이스라엘로 온 이러한 아기들의 가족이 머물 수 있게 해주고 있습니다. 
의사들은 자기들의 시간을 들여 무료로 수술 기적을 행하고 저희는 저희의 귀한 형제들의 사역 단체인 치유의 집과 함께 자신들의 아기의 목숨이 구해지는 것을 보는 가족에게 거처와 모든 필요한 것과 도덕적 영적 지원을 해주고 있습니다.

The Jerusalem Prayer List – March 3, 2023

Today we are entering into the winter/spring cycle of Biblical Holidays, next week will be Purim and in one month it will be the Passover Holiday.
This is the reason why this next Shabbat is a special Shabbat that is called Shabbat Zachor, The Sabbath of Remembrance. We will remember what the Amalek did to our forefathers when they were wandering the Sinai desert for 40 years.
The Amalek is one of the arch-enemies of Israel throughout Biblical history. It doesn’t mean that they are gone off the face of the earth, but I believe that they have changed their name and never changed their character.
Today I would say that the reincarnation of Amalek is the Islamic jihad and the murderous group that was called ISSIS that has merged with El-Kahida, and shares the same ideology that is very similar to that of Amalek of the Bible.
The special reading for this Shabbat that deals and commands us what to do with Amalek is from Deuteronomy 25:17-19, “Remember what Amalek did to you on the way as you were coming out of Egypt, how he met you on the way and attacked your rear ranks, all the stragglers at your rear, when you were tired and weary; and he did not fear God. Therefore, it shall be, when the LORD your God has given you rest from your enemies all around, in the land which the LORD your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance, that you will blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. You shall not forget.” I believe that it is incumbent upon us all, Jews and non-Jews who are disciples of Yeshua the Messiah, to remember these unruly and cruel and evil organizations that have adopted and continue to emulate the mind-set and ideology of murder and cruelty, and work hard to spread their ideology around the whole world without thinking of how this can bring anything but more hate, blood-shed, and cruelty upon humanity.
We must take all the word of God seriously, and among the things that we must take seriously is God’s commands concerning these groups who have adopted the murderous and evil ideology of deleting Israel off the face of God’s Earth.
The regular Torah reading on March 4th, 2023 in Jerusalem is Exodus 27:20-30:10, and from the Prophets we will be reading from 1 Samuel 15:2-34, (Ezekiel 43:10-27). From the New Testament we will be reading from Titus 1:5-2:15.
The Torah portion from Exodus 27:20 -30:10, in the opening verses, are generally ignored in the teachings and sermons of this coming Shabbat. They are ignored because most of the teaching and preaching from this portion of the week, come from the normal text of the reading. The concentration of most of the Synagogues in the world actually concentrate of the special text of Shabbat Zachor which is the text that commands us to wipe out the memory of the Amalek.
However, dear brothers and sisters, although I do believe that the command about the Amalek is fitting especially on the Shabbat before the Feast of Purim, it is more important to remember the other reading, the regular reading for this coming Shabbat.
The reading that starts with the following words: “And you shall command the children of Israel that they bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to cause the lamp to burn continually. In the tabernacle of meeting, outside the veil which is before the Testimony, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening until morning before the LORD. It shall be a statute forever to their generations on behalf of the children of Israel.” (Exodus 27:20–21 NKJV) This reading of the Torah is much more important in my opinion than the distraction and eradication of Amalek, the old Amalek and the New Multiplied and mushroomed Amalek. The reason is simple, the best way to chase the darkness away is with light. The Torah Portion from Exodus starts with lighting the candelabra in the tabernacle of meeting with pure oil; oil that will produce light and that is also pure.
There is no end to the darkness and hate and envy and evil inclination that is planted in human hearts. And there is no end to the invention of killing machines and reasons for killing and hating others who are like us, created in the image and in the form of God. Israel has been fighting and killing and bombing the Amalek in the different incarnations that it has from the dawn of history until now. There are now more nations that have carved on their flags and purposed in their hearts to kill Jews, destroy Israel, and wipe out the very memory of Israel. The Jews have tried everything possible and plausible to stop antisemitism and Jew Hate in the World. Even the German Nazi holocaust, with the millions of people having their lives taken purely for the same reasons that Haman the Evil had convinced the King of Persia that it is not worth to allow the Jews to live, and the king of Persia (Iran of today) agreed for greedy reasons to allow Haman to kill all the Jews from the 127 nations that lived under the Persian flag. The murderous hate has never ended and there is more than one Neo-Nazi hate group that has on their agenda to kill Jews and drive Jews out of Europe.
We, as the disciples of Yeshua (Jesus), cannot use the tools of death and hate and destruction to stop the enemies of reason and the crippled minded people who cannot be happy without hating Jews. Even the Arab terrorist organizations and the Palestinians terrorists who would gain so much if they made peace with Israel.But they keep choosing terror and murder and hate and killing of innocent civilians to satisfy their hunger and thirst for killing and terrorism against Jews and Israel.
We, the Jews and the Christians, who believe the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation, must take the path that God has commanded us. The path where our most important weapon is not our guns and our airplanes and tanks and submarines, that are needed for our defense, but the light that we can light to dispel the darkness. The light that our Torah portion of this Shabbat commands us to light with pure-oil, a light that is pure and fed with the purity of sincere hearts and clear consciences.
That we, as the chosen people of God, the holy priesthood, that are to serve the nations of the world, like Aaron and the Levite served Israel; presenting and reporting and proclaiming the God who created this world. He created all the worlds with such love, that He sent His only begotten (the only one of his kind), the first born from the dead, the son of David, who has the heart of God for humanity, to shine and spread goodness and love and charity in this world of darkness, that is fueled by hate.
The only way that Yeshua, our love and savior, instructed us to fight evi,l is by doing good. The only way to destroy hate is by love. I am sorry to confess that some of our neighbors here in the Middle East are allergic to love and to grace and to human rights and to kindness. There is not much good and love that can change the mind of the radical terrorist organizations that is submerged in deep hate against Israel and Jews.
The attitude of hate and antisemitism is actually going to be the most effective tool of the devil to destroy the different re-incarnations of Haman’s hate of Jews, and of the Nazi hate for Jews and even some of the Jews that hate other Jews. In the end, hate is a tool that always turns against those who brandish it and try to use it against others.
It turns around and bites those who use it on the Jews and against Israel. The tree that Haman built in his garden to hang Mordechai and the Jews, and the tools that he devised against the Jews of Persia, in the end were the very tools that were used to delete Haman the Agagite (The Amalekite) and his whole family. The hanging tree that was designed for Mordechai the Jew, was decorated like a Christmas Tree with the bodies of Haman and his 10 sons.
So, in conclusion, let us, the Jews and the Christians, learn from Torah portion of Exodus 27:20 – 30:10 and from our Rabbi and Savior Yeshua the Messiah, that lighting the light of God’s love and hope and faith is much more effective, against the hate that comes from Satan, than any military tool and weapon. The big and major question that we all have is simply how to show love to people who don’t understand love and that are, at the same, time hungry for love; but their leaders lead them to hate and racism.
It is hard to show love to someone that is hungry for hate and never satisfied with killing, even babies in their cribs. How do you show love after you have for decades given them work and electricity and water and food, and business and hospitals and universities for their children, and still they have not deleted one ounce of their hate, and replaced the hate with God’s love and with the love of God.
How to inspire life to people who celebrate death, is a hard question to answer. Those who have that love in their hearts, must obey the commandments of our Lord Yeshua. Pray for our enemies, bless those who curse us, be a shining light for those who live and love the darkness.
There are members in our congregation and now Netivyah has partnered with these members of our congregation, that have saved the lives of hundreds of Arab babies from Gaza, Jordan, Palestinians, Iraqi, Kurds, even Syrians, by providing them Israeli medical facilities and surgeries for the little babies who suffer from heart problems and who would die before they can walk or go to kindergarten.
We have partnered with our members who have this ministry of saving Arab babies, and we have joined them and Houses of Healing from Abilene, Texas, in renting a four apartment buildings not far from the biggest hospital in Jerusalem, to house the families of these children that are brought to Israel to have Jewish and Arab doctors preform these very complicated surgeries on these babies. These doctors do these surgical miracles for free on their own time, and we, together with Houses For Healing, and the organization of our dear brothers ,provide the housing and moral and spiritual support of all kinds of their needs ,to see the lives of their babies saved. We hope that our enemies, the Amalek of today will see the light and understand that if they make peace with Israel, the Middle East will be the most prosperous and the most desirable and the most blessed region of the whole world. Please pray and support Netivyah, with the more than one humanitarian projects, and positive light from God’s heart , and from Yeshua’s holy sacrifice, to spread the love of God and the Grace of Yeshua’s life, death, and resurrection, like a candle in the dark.
Each one of us and each one of you, around the world, can be a mirror reflecting the light of Yeshua in the world, but especially in the Middle East the home of Amalek and the final battle ground of Satan.
The victory is ours in the end! We know this from God’s Word. The problem is not the end, the problems are what we are facing every day and contending with every hour. We need your prayers and support and sacrificial giving so that we can continue to feed the poor of Jerusalem and provide logistic support for healing Arab babies by Israeli doctors, and supporting our soldiers, and providing scholarships for our students.
Yes, this war will have an end and the victory will be for those who love in place of hate, who feed people in place of bombing the wheat fields in Ukraine, and who light the candles of hope and not destroy and kill innocent civilians just because they are Jews. God bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you. Stand with us and light up one more candle by doing good in your own town and in your own community. Sarit, a sister born in Jerusalem, over 87 years old, lives alone. Has no close family, and suffers from several old-age illnesses.
Yehuda Hochman, is a dear older brother living in the Negev desert with some illness that needs healing.
Please continue to pray for My wife Marcia and her health. We need to pray for her strength and her energy and her arthritis and diabetic and memory problems.
Marcia and I are planning to travel to the United States in the middle of January until the end of February. I will be teaching in the United States and also traveling to Brazil to share and hold some important seminars on topics that need to be understood and practiced by the body of the Messiah worldwide. Very little of what Yeshua commanded His disciples is practiced and even instructed by the vast majority of the Christian community worldwide.

Fernanda Nothen Becker, our dear sister has problems with her job that cause her pressure and challenges. Pray for the social situation in Fernanda’s work to turn and her suffering to turn into joy and friendship.

Lift for blessing and healing Jonathan B. and his wife Aviva and their new baby, his mother, and his brother Daniel. Pray for these very important men of God: Rabbi Salt, his family, and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings.
Pray a blessing for a dear sister Angela Isby and her situation. Pray for Tiz H. and Lion H.
Also pray for Ilana Avramov who is married to my cousin Nissim and lives in New York City. Ilana has fallen and in now in rehab learning how to walk again. We pray for her full recovery. She and Nissim both need our prayers.
Joseph Mock, a young man in his 30s, a dear brother that was named after me, has leukemia in an advanced stage. He is in the hospital and needs our urgent prayers. Joseph Mock is the son of Steve Mock, who is also one of the faithful disciples of Yeshua who became a believer in the early years of Netivyah.
Steve Mock is also in need of our prayers. He had a massive stroke and now he cannot speak, and has other limitations. Please keep Steve Mock also in your prayers, and pray for his wife Josse for strength and blessings and good health.
Pray for three women of God in Canada who need healing, Lynda, Sandy and Joanne.
I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to visit here do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.

We need more workers because of the challenges and needs and opportunities to bless the King Yeshua and His Kingdom down here on Earth and bless the poor people of Jerusalem and produce more materials, books, and magazines.
