며칠만 있으면 2022년이 끝납니다. 이스라엘은 아직도 정치적 격변 한가운데에 있습니다. 비비 네타냐후는 그의 의회 구성의 마지막 단계에 있습니다.

The Jerusalem Prayer List – December 29, 2022

The year 2022 is about to end in just a few days. Israel is still in the middle of major political upheaval. Mr. Bibi Netanyahu is in the last stages of building his parliament.
The Middle East is boiling and Israel is after the last election, the fifth election in three years. The right side of the political spectrum had a decisive victory and tomorrow the new government will be sworn in with several ultra-right-wing ministers who have a radical agenda similar to the agenda of the zealots in the first century CE, that brought about the fall of Jerusalem, and after the fall of Jerusalem, the very dramatic fall of Masada in 73 CE. Israel needs prayer and our new government led by Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu needs prayer. Nothing here is stable. Every parameter of law and order and of stability is in question these days in Israel, and in the Palestinian authority. And this is just additional bedlam to what is going on in Europe, the Ukrainian war, Russia, and beyond! We all need to broaden our prayer concerns and look beyond the horizon. This Shabbat our readings is from Genesis 44:18-47:27, and from the prophets (the Haftarah) we will be reading from Ezekiel 37:15-28. From the New Testament the reading will be from Acts 7:6-15. The Torah reading is the heart of the story of Joseph in Egypt. It is the great reconciliation between Joseph, the second-in-command over all of Egypt, just under the Pharaoh himself, and his 11 raggedy brothers who came to get food from Egypt. Just a note on the geographic and strategic location of Egypt in the Middle East then and now: where there is a dry year, in the Middle East Egypt becomes the source of food and supplies the lands around with food and sustenance. We see this in the days of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob. When there is drought in the Middle East, especially in the land of Canaan and on the east side of the Jordan River, the place to go for food is Egypt. Why? The reason is the Nile River. The Nile River is one of the longest rivers in the world, and it flows from the South to the North. It is the only sizable river that crosses the Equator from south to north. The Nile brings the rainwater from the southern hemisphere north. In the northern hemisphere it is summer, and in the southern hemisphere it is winter, the rainy season. It is rare for Egypt to have hunger, because the Nile brings the water north and ends on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Even if is totally dry and desert in Egypt, along the center the Nile runs and floods just exactly when there is a hot summer. This is the reason why our forefathers, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the sons of Jacob go down to bring food from Egypt to the land of Canaan. Our Torah Portion starts with the Hebrew word “vayigash” (“came near to him” or “approached him”). Judah feels remorse and knows how much Jacob his father loves Benjamin who, according to his knowledge, is only son of Rachel that is alive. Joseph had a strategic plan to keep Benjamin his brother in Egypt, by placing the silver goblet in Benjamin’s sack of grain, and accusing Benjamin of stealing. Judah is now showing signs of repentance and regret, and is willing to sacrifice his own freedom in order to have Benjamin free to return to Jacob his father. Judah is doing this to save Benjamin, and also to save his father from grieving for Benjamin and suffering the loss of Rachel’s second son. This action of Judah, which is out of Judah’s normal character, is shaking Joseph’s soul, and now he can’t play that game with his brothers. Joseph is moved to the depth of his soul by Judah’s action and willingness to suffer in order to save the suffering of Benjamin and also the grief of his father Jacob. Judah is willing to go to jail in place of his brother Benjamin. These words of Judah to Joseph just melt Joseph’s heart: “Now therefore, please let your servant remain instead of the lad as a slave to my lord, and let the lad go up with his brothers. For how shall I go up to my father if the lad is not with me, lest perhaps I see the evil that would come upon my father?” — Genesis 44:33,34 [NKJV] Here is the most dramatic moment in the whole five books of Moses! It could be that these are the most prophetic words in the Bible too, and the most important paradigm of how I picture Yeshua is going to act after landing with a band of angels on top of the Mount of Olives. Here is what Joseph does after hearing Judah, his older brother, willing to sacrifice his own freedom in order to save Benjamin and the grief of their father Jacob: “Then Joseph could not restrain himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried out, ‘Make everyone go out from me!’ So no one stood with him while Joseph made himself known to his brothers. And he wept aloud, and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard it. Then Joseph said to his brothers, ‘I am Joseph; does my father still live?’ But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed in his presence.” — Genesis 45:1-3 [NKJV] When I read this text in the Torah, I can’t help to close my eyes and imagine Yeshua landing on the Mount of Olives with the thousands of angels surrounding and singing Hallelujah to the Lamb. The Supreme Court of Israel will come to bless and greet the Messiah. The Orthodox rabbis will come trembling and white-faced from fear, to welcome the Messiah Yeshua. The Messiah will ask to kick all the foreign missionaries out of the Knesset, and after they are all out, like the Egyptian servants and guards of Joseph went out, Yeshua the Messiah will say to the Israeli rabbis and judges and Knesset (parliament) members, “I am Yeshua your brother! I am the One against whom you screamed ‘crucify Him, crucify Him….’, I forgive you because you didn’t know what you are doing!” The most important text in this Torah portion, connected with Joseph and his brothers, is the following: “Even though you planned evil against me, God planned good to come out of it. This was to keep many people alive, as he is doing now.” — Genesis 50:20 [GWORD] It is no secret that rabbinical Judaism has developed a concept of two messiahs. The Messiah-son-of-Joseph and the Messiah-son-of-David. The Messiah-son-of-Joseph is the Messiah of Isaiah 53, and the Messiah-son-of-David is from Isaiah 63. A reigning and kingly Messiah, riding with His sword in His hand to bring judgment on all flesh and rule the world in righteousness. We have reprinted a small book that was written by our dear brother Elhanan ben Avraham. The book is about the relationship of the story of Joseph, son of Jacob, who serves as a model of the Messiah and is called in Judaism “Messiah Son of Joseph.” There are many points that are common between Joseph’s Messiah with the Messiah Yeshua. Ilana Ahijervie, a dear sister who is 98 years old and suffering from memory problems.
Lea Korky, a dear sister who is 89 years old and served for many years as a nurse in the Sha’arei Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
Sarit, a sister born in Jerusalem, over 87 years old, lives alone. Has no close family, and suffers from several old-age illnesses.
Yehuda Hochman, is a dear older brother living in the Negev desert with some illness that needs healing.
Please continue to pray for My wife Marcia and her health. We need to pray for her strength and her energy and her arthritis and diabetic and memory problems.
Marcia and I are planning to travel to the United States in the middle of January until the end of February. I will be teaching in the United States and also traveling to Brazil to share and hold some important seminars on topics that need to be understood and practiced by the body of the Messiah worldwide. Very little of what Yeshua commanded His disciples is practiced and even instructed by the vast majority of the Christian community worldwide.
Your prayers for Alexander have been answered, but please keep praying for Alexander and for his sister Sarah, and his brother Andrew, and their general and spiritual welfare!
Please pray for Michael McGoff, Michael had heart surgery a few days ago and we need to pray for his full recovery.
Pray for Adam R., Adam works in Netivyah as the media director and he, like Yehuda and Daniel, has been raised in Netivyah congregation in the Galilee. Adam has lost much of his hearing as a result of a virus. Pray for Adam and his family of 8 children.
Pray for Adam’s father and mother, Barry and Dalia. They too have some health problems and challenges.
Pray for Miriam and for Hannah, her daughter. Miriam is a dear sister and has lost her husband recently. Pray for Daniel S. and his children. Our dear leader in the Ro’eh Israel congregation, Gary, and his health, and for his wife Melanie and their family.
Pray for Um Mahmud Abu-Eid and Jimmy Abu-Eid and all of the family. This is a dear family of old friends that needs healing and wisdom for the children and for their work.
Please pray for the Romero family who live deep in the Negev desert. It is hot there and they are far from our congregation, we miss them, but we wish them a wonderful summer.
Please pray for Alexander West and his sister Sarah West. Alexander has a very serious case of Covid, and he has asked for prayer. This is a good thing, since Alexander has been estranged form the faith for a season. Pray also for Ronan, Alexander’s wife, who also has a challenging case of Covid.
Pray for the Ro’eh Israel congregation and the leadership of Netivyah. I have received my last check in the end of August. I am no longer employed by Netivyah. I am continuing the Lord’s work without stopping or slowing down for one minute. I need your prayers because from January I will be living on a pension. Until January, by God’s grace!
Pray for our sister Nina Nichayev, who is in the hospital for tests. Nina needs our prayers and the prayers of our brothers and sisters around the world.

We bless our dear sister Celestine with health and blessings from Heaven for her life and her family. We pray for the Lord to be her comfort and provide sister Celestine all her physical and her spiritual and her social needs with His grace.

Please mention the name Ray Chen and ask God to show this man the grace of God and God’s powerful healing of body and soul and restoration of faith and life of holiness and sanctity.

Pray for the congregations related to Netivyah in Brazil, to have the strength and stamina to face the challenges in front of them with courage and strength of faithfulness to the Lord, and to the vision of the restoration of the church and Israel.
Pray for the millions of victims of the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition who have been forced to convert to the Catholic church, and now want to return home to the land of Israel and to the faith of our fathers.
Pray for the state of Israel to open the doors for these lost Jews to be able to return and fulfill God’s promises to the prophet Ovadyah:
“But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. The house of Jacob shall be a fire, And the house of Joseph a flame; But the house of Esau shall be stubble; They shall kindle them and devour them, And no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau, For the Lord has spoken. The South shall possess the mountains of Esau, And the Lowland shall possess Philistia. They shall possess the fields of Ephraim And the fields of Samaria. Benjamin shall possess Gilead. And the captives of this host of the children of Israel Shall possess the land of the Canaanites As far as Zarephath. The captives of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad Shall possess the cities of the South. Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion To judge the mountains of Esau, And the kingdom shall be the Lord’s.” — Obadiah 1:17-21 [NKJV]
Pray for Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias. He is the father of a dear sister in Brazil.
Pray for a dear young man, Paulo, from Curitiba, Brazil, who is seriously needing our prayers for sanity and mental health.
Pray for our dear brother Marcelo G. and his family. Marcelo is a pioneer in the establishing the Teaching from Zion ministry in Brazil and the Har Zion Congregation in Belo-Horizonte.
Pray for Marcelo’s father who is up in the years. Pray for our brothers in the Har Zion congregation, the widow of Pastor George, and for those who are ill and need healing.
Pray for Livia Schnell Nothen, she has some issues with her physical health and a growth in her adrenal gland. And other health issues.
Guilherme Antonio Nothen Becker, who is suffering from back problems. Aratuza de Oliveira his wife. Pray for this 3-year-old child that has serious problems with his eyes and ask the Lord to give healing to his eyes. This child’s name is Caique de Oliveira Becker.
Pray for Bernardo Antonio Nothen Becker. Bernardo is addicted to gambling and playing poker. This caused deep sorrow to his family.
Fernanda Nothen Becker, our dear sister has problems with her job that cause her pressure and challenges. Pray for the social situation in Fernanda’s work to turn and her suffering to turn into joy and friendship.
A 70-year-old Pastor Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias, suffering from diabetes.

Pray for Roberto Morias, a dear brother who is going through heart surgery and an angiogram.

In India, Pastor Isaac, from Chennai, needs our prayers. Pastor Isaac is suffering from kidney problems and has to have dialysis several times per week.
Tony Tam and his wife Luisa and son Marco need special prayer for their situation.
Pray for the Cohen family in Hong Kong and for the leadership and congregation of 611 in Hong Kong.

Please pray for Ruby K. from Hong Kong. Ruby has gone through a very complicated surgery for multiple cancers in her body. The surgery was very long, and Ruby is back home now recovering. Please lift Ruby K. and ask the Lord to heal and deliver Ruby from Hong Kong.

Please pray for the daughter of Bill Colwell, who is very sick with cancer.
Please pray for my family in the United States: Barry my son and his wife Beth, and for Joey my grandson. Pray for their divine protection and health.
Pray for Danah my daughter's health issues. I pray for the Lord to give Danah wisdom and peace and calm in life and in her work.
Pray for Noaam my granddaughter. She is working two jobs now and needs good health and wisdom to make the right choices and plans for life, education, immigration to Israel, and just general protection from all harm.
Pray for David Young the preacher in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who is back to preaching after recovering from medical issues. Please keep David in your prayers.
Pray for Ruby Little, our dear and faithful sister who has cancer and has stopped receiving medical treatment for the cancer that she has. Please pray for Ruby that the Lord will heal and strengthen her and provide for all her needs both medically and socially.
Aaron Hook, Nancy Hook’s oldest son, needs our prayers for wisdom and healing from past issues of life. Pray for Don, Aaron’s father and Nancy’s husband. Don and Nancy are now in the USA. Keep Nancy in your prayers.
Lift for blessing and healing Jonathan B. and his wife Aviva and their new baby, his mother, and his brother Daniel. Pray for these very important men of God: Rabbi Salt, his family, and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings.
Pray a blessing for a dear sister Angela Isby and her situation. Pray for Tiz H. and Lion H.
Also pray for Ilana Avramov who is married to my cousin Nissim and lives in New York City. Ilana has fallen and in now in rehab learning how to walk again. We pray for her full recovery. She and Nissim both need our prayers.
Joseph Mock, a young man in his 30s, a dear brother that was named after me, has leukemia in an advanced stage. He is in the hospital and needs our urgent prayers. Joseph Mock is the son of Steve Mock, who is also one of the faithful disciples of Yeshua who became a believer in the early years of Netivyah.
Steve Mock is also in need of our prayers. He had a massive stroke and now he cannot speak, and has other limitations. Please keep Steve Mock also in your prayers, and pray for his wife Josse for strength and blessings and good health.
Pray for three women of God in Canada who need healing, Lynda, Sandy and Joanne.
I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to visit here do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.
Please pray for Netivyah and for the good work that Netivyah is doing in Israel and around the world.
We need more workers because of the challenges and needs and opportunities to bless the King Yeshua and His Kingdom down here on Earth and bless the poor people of Jerusalem and produce more materials, books, and magazines.
