예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2023년 5월 19일

지난 안식일에 우리는 레위기를 끝냈고 이번 안식일에 민수기를 시작합니다. 이 책의 논리적인 이름은 토라를 헬라어로 번역한 70인역에서 비롯된 것입니다. 이 책이 민수기(헬라어와 영어 및 대부분의 다른 언어 번역본에서)라고 불리는 이유는 이 책의 첫 네 장이 대대적인 인구조사, 광야에서 이스라엘 자손을 세는 것을 다루고 있기 때문입니다. 그래서 이 책의 시작 부분의 이 장들은 온통 숫자로 가득합니다. 그러나 이 책의 히브리어 이름은 “바미드바르”로, “광야에서”라는 뜻입니다.

히브리어로 각 책의 첫 단어가 보통 그 책의 이름이 되는데요, 그것이 논리적이지 않더라도 그렇습니다. 예를 들어, 출애굽기는 히브리어로 “슈모트”인데요, “이름들”이라는 뜻이고, 레위기는 히브리어로 “바이크라”, “그가 부르셨다”라는 의미입니다.

민수기를 시작하면서 저는 흥분되는데요, 토라에서 민수기는 전(全) 성경 중에서 특유의 흥미로운 것이 많이 있기 때문입니다. 모세는 부모를 여읜 슬로브핫의 일곱 딸들로 인해 문제가 제기됩니다! 그는 이 일곱 딸들의 고충, 즉 그들의 아버지에게 아들이 없기에 그들이 아버지의 재산을 상속받지 못한다는 문제를 듣습니다.

모세는 이 문제를 모든 육체의 대법관 앞에 가져갔고 하나님께서는 모세에게 토라, 율법을 바꾸라고 말씀하십니다. 왜냐하면 가부장적 율법이 여성들에게 공정하지 않고 차별대우하는 것 같기 때문입니다. 민수기에는 다른 고상한 법과 이야기가 많습니다. 우리는 그것들을 매주 토라 포션에 나올 때마다 다룰 것입니다.

이번 안식일에 전 세계 회당들에서 읽힐 말씀은 이렇습니다! 토라에서는 “바미드바르”(민수기) 1:1~4:20이고, 하프타라(선지서에서 읽는 포션)는 호세아 1:10~2:20입니다. 신약성경에서 읽는 말씀은 로마서 9:25-33입니다.

보통 저는 이 예루살렘 기도 목록에서 토라와 이따금 선지서의 말씀을 논평하고 가르치고, 아주 드물게 신약성경에서 어떤 주제를 가져오기도 합니다. 그러나 이번 안식일 예루살렘 기도 목록에서는 여러분과 로마서 9:25-33를 나누고 싶습니다.

제가 다루고 싶은 첫 번째 질문은 로마서의 이 본문이 왜 토라 포션과 선지서 포션 호세아 1:10~2:20와 함께 읽도록 선택되었는가입니다. 바울의 로마서 9:25-33이 이번 토라 포션과 무슨 관련이 있는 것일까요? 사실, 이번 안식일에 로마서 9:25-33을 읽는 것은 이번 안식일 토라 포션 본문과는 아무런 관련이 없지만, 호세아 1:10~20:20과는 상당히 관련이 있습니다.

친애하는 형제자매님들, 여러분도 아시다시피, 바울은 사실 명백히 호세아 본문을 인용하고 있는 것입니다. 이렇게 인용하고 있는 것은 근본적으로 중요하지만, 전통적 기독교 주석가들은 자주 오해했습니다. 제 생각에는 의도적으로 오해하는 것인데요, 바울이 인용한 호세아서에 대한 전통적 해석과 이해는 종종 무시되었습니다. 그리고 호세아서에서 일시적으로 이스라엘을 비난한 것은 로마와 콘스탄티노플 교회의 사실상의 유전자에 뿌리 깊이 박혀 있는 반-유대주의 정서를 정당화하는 데에 쓰였습니다.

초기 반-유대주의 및 반-토라주의 교부 중 하나로, 후대에 로마 교회와 정교회에서 “믿음의 아버지들”에 드는 것으로 여겨졌고, 일부 개신교회에서도 권위 있다고 받아들여졌으며, 기독교와 유대교, 그리고 구약성경과 신약성경을 구분 지은 유스티누스는 주후 2세기 중반에 로마에 살았고, 신학에 있어서는 정통파로 여겨졌습니다. 그러나 주후 165년에 순교한 이 유스티누스가 바로 공통의 성경을 타나흐(구약성경)과 신약성경으로 나눈 사람입니다.

이 거짓은 무엇이 기독교인의 것이며 무엇이 유대인의 것인지, 즉 신약성경과 구약성경을 나눈 것입니다. 순교자 유스티누스는 “정통 기독교” 신학으로 여겨지며 대다수 기독교에서 반-유대주의로 여겨지는 것의 기본 양식을 정립한 이른바 첫 “교부들”에 듭니다.

이번 안식일 하프타라(선지서에서 읽는 말씀)와 로마서 9:25-33을 이어주는 말씀은 이것입니다. 여러분도 아시다시피, 바울은 로마서 9:25에서 호세아 1:10을 인용하고 있습니다.

“호세아의 글에도 이르기를 내가 내 백성 아닌 자를 내 백성이라, 사랑하지 아니한 자를 사랑한 자라 부르리라 너희는 내 백성이 아니라 한 그 곳에서 그들이 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이라 일컬음을 받으리라 함과 같으니라” (로마서 9:25–26)

순교자 유스티누스와 그 이후 교회는 바울의 로마서 9장 말씀을 완전히 문맥에서 벗어나게 이해하고 다음과 같이 해석했습니다: “하나님께서는 이스라엘에 너희는 내 백성이 아니라고 말씀하셨다!” 하나님께서는 이스라엘을 버리셨고, 이제는 전에 이교도, 로마인, 헬라인, 온갖 이방인이었던 이들이 하나님의 백성이었던 자들을 대신하며, 그들이 “살아계신 하나님의 아들들이라 불리는” 자들이다. 하나님의 백성은 하나님에게서 버림받았고, 하나님께서는 그들에게 “너희는 내 백성이 아니다”라고 말씀하셨다. “로 암미”란 하나님의 백성이 아닌 자들이다. 이방인 기독교인들이 이제 하나님의 백성이다.

이 거짓 가르침은 전통적인 교회, 즉 가톨릭 교회와 그리스 정교회와 이들의 모든 개신교 딸들에 너무 깊이 뿌리 박혀, 반-유대주의, 반-토라주의 교회의 유전자를 깊이 청산하지 않고는 뿌리 뽑기 어렵습니다.

호세아가 1:10에서 하나님의 이름으로 “로 암미” – “내 백성이 아니다”라고 말했을 때 그것이 무슨 뜻이었는지는 다음과 같습니다!

첫째, 호세아 선지자는 다음 말씀에서 예언적으로 다음 그림을 명확히 했습니다:

“그러나 이스라엘 자손의 수가 바닷가의 모래 같이 되어서 헤아릴 수도 없고 셀 수도 없을 것이며 전에 그들에게 이르기를 너희는 내 백성이 아니라 한 그 곳에서 그들에게 이르기를 너희는 살아 계신 하나님의 아들들이라 할 것이라 이에 유다 자손과 이스라엘 자손이 함께 모여 한 우두머리를 세우고 그 땅에서부터 올라오리니 이스르엘의 날이 클 것임이로다” (호세아 1:10–11)

호세아 선지자의 이 말씀의 모든 맥락은 오직 이스라엘뿐이고, 다른 누구도 아닙니다. 맞습니다, 하나님께서는 이스라엘에게 진노하셨고 과거에 이스라엘을 “로 암미” - 내 백성이 아니라고 부르셨습니다. 하나님께서는 그분께서 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 하신 약속을 잊지도 어기지도 않으셨습니다.

곧바로 호세아 선지자는 우리에게 하나님의 약속을 상기시킵니다. “이스라엘 자손의 수가 바닷가의 모래 같이 되어서 헤아릴 수도 없고 셀 수도 없을 것이다.” 호세아의 이 본문의 맥락은 버리는 것이 아니라 회복입니다. 하나님께서 과거에 “로 암미”, 즉 “내 백성이 아니다!”라고 말씀하셨더라도, 미래에는 그들이 “살아계신 하나님의 아들들”이라고 불릴 것이라는 것입니다.

“내가 내 영광을 여러 민족 가운데에 나타내어 모든 민족이 내가 행한 심판과 내가 그 위에 나타낸 권능을 보게 하리니 그 날 이후에 이스라엘 족속은 내가 여호와 자기들의 하나님인 줄을 알겠고 여러 민족은 이스라엘 족속이 그 죄악으로 말미암아 사로잡혀 갔던 줄을 알지라 그들이 내게 범죄하였으므로 내 얼굴을 그들에게 가리고 그들을 그 원수의 손에 넘겨 다 칼에 엎드러지게 하였으되 내가 그들의 더러움과 그들의 범죄한 대로 행하여 그들에게 내 얼굴을 가리었었느니라”

“그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 이제 내 거룩한 이름을 위하여 열심을 내어 야곱의 사로잡힌 자를 돌아오게 하며 이스라엘 온 족속에게 사랑을 베풀지라 그들이 그 땅에 평안히 거주하고 두렵게 할 자가 없게 될 때에 부끄러움을 품고 내게 범한 죄를 뉘우치리니 내가 그들을 만민 중에서 돌아오게 하고 적국 중에서 모아 내어 많은 민족이 보는 데에서 그들로 말미암아 나의 거룩함을 나타낼 때라 전에는 내가 그들이 사로잡혀 여러 나라에 이르게 하였거니와 후에는 내가 그들을 모아 고국 땅으로 돌아오게 하고 그 한 사람도 이방에 남기지 아니하리니 그들이 내가 여호와 자기들의 하나님인 줄을 알리라 내가 다시는 내 얼굴을 그들에게 가리지 아니하리니 이는 내가 내 영을 이스라엘 족속에게 쏟았음이라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라”

다시 바울의 로마서 9:25-27 말씀으로 가겠습니다.

“호세아의 글에도 이르기를 내가 내 백성 아닌 자를 내 백성이라, 사랑하지 아니한 자를 사랑한 자라 부르리라 너희는 내 백성이 아니라 한 그 곳에서 그들이 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이라 일컬음을 받으리라 함과 같으니라 또 이사야가 이스라엘에 관하여 외치되 이스라엘 자손들의 수가 비록 바다의 모래 같을지라도 남은 자만 구원을 받으리니”

로마서 9장부터 11장의 나머지 부분을 계속 읽다 보면, 선지자들의 예언과 하나님께서 이스라엘에 한 약속에 근거한 바울의 예언이

“온 이스라엘이 구원을 받으리라!”인 것을 알게 될 것입니다.

이것이 사실 토라 포션과 하프타라와 신약성경 포션 사이의 연관성입니다. 가톨릭 교회와 정교회 교부들이 그토록 반-유대주의, 반-히브리 성경적이었던 것, 이스라엘과 유대인들에 대한 증오로 깊이 중독되었던 것은 슬픈 일입니다. 그들의 증오는 그들의 이교적 배경, 즉 바사(페르시아) 아하수에로왕의 고관 하만에게서 볼 수 있는 증오로부터 물려받은 것입니다.

저는 역사적으로 유명한 저 지도자들과 주교들과 교황들과 교부들이 진실을 알았지만, 유대인들에 대한 악마적인 증오가 먼저는 저들의 마음을, 둘째는 저들의 생각을, 마지막으로는 저들의 눈을 가린 것이라고 믿어 의심치 않습니다.

제가 우리 친구들이며 우리 주 예슈아의 친구들인 여러분에게 가르치기 원하는 교훈은 여러분이 성경을 매일 조금씩이라도 읽고, 여러분의 교회에서 들은 것과 여러분의 교단의 신학을 당연한 것으로 받아들이지 말라는 것입니다.

여러분은 성경을 펼칠 때마다 하나님의 말씀이 약속하신 대로 성령님께서 여러분에게 직접 깨닫게 해주시고 모든 진리에 이르도록 데려가 주시도록 기도하셔야 합니다. 언제나 예레미야 선지자가 우리에게 준 좋은 조언의 말씀을 기억하십시오:

“여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 무릇 사람을 믿으며 육신으로 그의 힘을 삼고 마음이 여호와에게서 떠난 그 사람은 저주를 받을 것이라 그는 사막의 떨기나무 같아서 좋은 일이 오는 것을 보지 못하고 광야 간조한 곳, 건건한 땅, 사람이 살지 않는 땅에 살리라 그러나 무릇 여호와를 의지하며 여호와를 의뢰하는 그 사람은 복을 받을 것이라 그는 물 가에 심어진 나무가 그 뿌리를 강변에 뻗치고 더위가 올지라도 두려워하지 아니하며 그 잎이 청청하며 가무는 해에도 걱정이 없고 결실이 그치지 아니함 같으리라 만물보다 거짓되고 심히 부패한 것은 마음이라 누가 능히 이를 알리요마는” (예레미야 17:5–9)

The Jerusalem Prayer List – May 19, 2023

Last Shabbat we finished the book of Leviticus and this Shabbat we are starting the book of Numbers. The logical name of this book comes from the Greek translation of the Torah, the Septuagint (The LXX = 70). The reason that this book is called (in Greek and English and most languages) Numbers, is because the first four chapters of the book deal with the big census, the counting of the children of Israel in the wilderness; and so these chapters that start the book are just full of numbers. However, the Hebrew name of the book is Bamidbar meaning: “In the wilderness.”

The starting word in the Hebrew book is usually also the name of the book of the Torah, even when it is not logical; like the book of Exodus is called in Hebrew “Shemot” in Hebrew “The names.” Or Leviticus in Hebrew, “He called.”

Entering the book of Numbers is for me an excitement, because the book of numbers in the Torah has so many interesting things that are unique in the whole Bible. Moses, motivated by the orphaned daughters of Zelophad, seven daughters! He hears the complaint of these seven daughters that their father didn’t have sons, and therefore they can’t inherit their father’s property.

Moses brings the case before the supreme Judge of all flesh, and God tells Moses to change the Torah, to change the law, because it seems like the patriarchal law was not just and was discriminating against women…. There are many other magnificent laws and stories in the book of Numbers and we will have to deal with them as they appear in our weekly reading.

So here is what is being read in the synagogues around the world on this Shabbat! From the Torah, Bamidbar (Numbers in English) chapter 1:1 – 4:20, the Haftarah (reading from the prophets Hosea 1:10-2:20. From the New Testament the reading is from Romans 9:25-33.

Normally I comment and teach in this platform of the Jerusalem Prayer List from the Torah and sometimes from the Prophets. On very rare occasions I might bring something from the New Testament. However, on this Shabbat and in this week’s Jerusalem Prayer List ,I want to share with you from Romans 9:25-33.

The first question that I would like to deal with is why this text from Romans is chosen to accompany the reading of this portion of the Torah and for this reading from Hosea 1:10 – 2:20. What does Paul’s letter to the Romans, chapter 9:25 -33, have to do with this Torah portion? Actually, the choice of reading from Romans 9:25-33 for this Shabbat has nothing to do with the text of the Torah portion on this Shabbat, but it has much to do with the text from Hosea 1:10 – 20:20.

You see, dear brother and sister, Paul is actually making a direct reference to Hosea’s text and this reference is of ultimate importance, and often misunderstood by the traditional Christian commentators. It is misunderstood in my opinion on purpose because the traditional interpretation and understanding of Paul’s reference to Hosea is often ignored and the short-lived condemnation of Israel in Hosea is used to justify the anti-Jewish sentiments that are deeply imbedded in the virtual DNA of the churches of Rome and Constantinople.

One of the earliest anti-Jewish and anti Torah church fathers, that later was counted among the so called, "fathers of the faith” in the Roman and Orthodox Churches and also adopted as authoritative in some of the Protestant churches, made distinctions between Christianity and Judaism and between the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Justine lived in Rome in the Middle of the Second Century C.E., and is considered to be orthodox in his theology. However, this Justin, that was martyred in 165 C.E., is the same person who divided the common Scriptures, The Tanach (Old Testament) and the New Testament.

This falsehood was the dividing line between what is Christian and what is Jewish i.e., the Old Testament and The New. Justin Martyr is among the first so called “Church Fathers” who set the fundamental patterns of what is considered "Orthodox Christian” theology and what is considered in the majority of Christianity as anti-Judaism, or anti-Semitism.

This is what connects this Shabbat’s Haftarah reading (the reading from the prophets) with Romans 9:25-33. You see Paul is quoting from Hosea 1:10 in Romans 9:25,

“As He says also in Hosea: “I will call them My people, who were not My people, and her beloved, who was not beloved.”

“And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ there they shall be called sons of the living God.”” (Romans 9:25–26 NKJV)

Justin Martyr and the subsequent church, understood Paul’s text in Romans 9 totally out of the context and interpreted it in this way: "God said to Israel you are not my people!” God rejected Israel and now those who previously, the pagans, Romans, Greeks, Gentiles of all sorts, are taking the place of those who were God’s people and now they “Are called sons of the living God.”

The people of God are rejected by God, who said to them, “You are not my people.” “Lo Ami.” Those who were not God’s people. The Gentile Christians are now God’s people.

This false teaching is so deeply engraved into the theology of the traditional churches, i.e., the Catholic and the Greek Orthodox, and all their Protestant daughters, that it is hard to uprooted it without a deep deep cleaning of the very DNA of the anti-Jewish and anti-Torah churches.

Here is what Hosea meant when he said in God’s name, “Lo Ami” – not my people in chapter 1:10!

First of all, the prophet Hosea clarified the whole picture prophetically in the text:

““Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered. And it shall come to pass, in the place where it was said to them, “You are not My people,’ There it shall be said to them, ‘You are sons of the living God.’ Then the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be gathered together, and appoint for themselves one head; and they shall come up out of the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel!” (Hosea 1:10–11 NKJV)

The whole context of these words of Hosea the prophet, is only Israel; not anyone else. True, God was angry with Israel and he did call Israel in the past “Lo Ami” – not my people. God didn’t forget or break His promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Immediately the prophet Hosea reminds us of God’s promise, “Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered.” The context of Hosea is not that of rejection, but one of restoration. And even though God had said in the past, “Lo-Ami” = “not my people!” in the future they shall be called “sons of the living God!”

Hosea is not talking about someone else. He is talking about the restoration of Israel, not the importation of other nations. This becomes clear in chapter 2, and also Isaiah knows this pattern and the same prophetic message: Isaiah says:

““For a mere moment I have forsaken you, but with great mercies I will gather you. With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,” Says the LORD, your Redeemer.” (Isaiah 54:7–8 NKJV)

Jeremiah and Ezekiel the prophets have the same message as Hosea, and Isaiah. Here is the text from Ezekiel that can’t be misunderstood: Ezekiel 39:21–29,

““I will set My glory among the nations; all the nations shall see My judgment which I have executed, and My hand which I have laid on them. So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day forward. The Gentiles shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity; because they were unfaithful to Me, therefore I hid My face from them. I gave them into the hand of their enemies, and they all fell by the sword. According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions I have dealt with them, and hidden My face from them.”

“Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Now I will bring back the captives of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name— after they have borne their shame, and all their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, when they dwelt safely in their own land and no one made them afraid. When I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and I am hallowed in them in the sight of many nations, then they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their land, and left none of them captive any longer. And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,’ says the Lord GOD.””

Let me take you back to Paul’s words in Romans chapter 9:25-27,

“As He says also in Hosea: “I will call them My people, who were not My people, and her beloved, who was not beloved.” “And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ There they shall be called sons of the living God.” Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, the remnant will be saved.”

Just go on to read the rest of Romans 9 -11, and you see that Paul’s prediction based on the prophets and God’s promises to Israel is that

“All Israel shall be SAVED!”

This is actually the connection between the reading of the Torah portion, the Haftarah (the prophets) and the New Testament reading. It is sad that the church fathers of the catholic and the orthodox churches were so anti-Semitic, and so anti – The Hebrew Bible, and so deeply poisoned by their hate of Israel and the Jewish people. Their hate was inherited from their pagan background; a hate you find in Haman, the Wazir of King Xarxseus of Persia.

The hate of Israel and the Jewish people led them to misinterpret the Word of God and twist it to the point that brought the horrible history of the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition that lasted from 1472 – 1821, and burned tens of thousands of Jews and Jewish disciples of Yeshua, who wanted to preserve their Jewish identity and customs and life style.

I have no doubt at all that some of those historical leaders, bishops, popes, church fathers, knew the truth, but their diabolical hate of Jews blinded their hearts first and their minds second and finally blinded their eyes too.

The lesson that I want you, our friends and the friends of Yeshua our Lord, is that you must read the Bible every day, at least a little, and you must never take for granted what you hear in your churches and the theology of your denominations.

You need to pray every time you open the Bible for the Holy Spirit to enlighten you personally and carry you by the Holy Spirit unto all truth, as the word of God promises. Always remember the words of good advice that Jeremiah the prophet gives us:

“Thus says the LORD: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the LORD. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land which is not inhabited. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:5–9 NKJV)

Please pray for the State of Israel and the government of Israel and for the Prime Minister of Israel! Now!

Please pray for Israel which is in a situation that can easily turn into an end of democracy in the State of Israel. The problem is not one-sided, it is from both sides of the political spectrum.

Ilana Ahijervie, a dear sister who is 98 years old and suffering from memory problems.

Lea Korky, a dear sister who is 89 years old and served for many years as a nurse in the Sha’arei Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

Sarit, a sister born in Jerusalem, over 87 years old, lives alone. Has no close family, and suffers from several old-age illnesses.

Yehuda Hochman, is a dear older brother living in the Negev desert with some illness that needs healing.

Please continue to pray for My wife Marcia and her health. We need to pray for her strength and her energy and her arthritis and diabetic and memory problems, as well as for help in my house that will free me to do more for the Kingdom.

Your prayers for Alexander and Sarah, and Andrew, who were raised as believers and have left their faith behind, have been answered, the Divine Shepherd guided these members of the same family gently back to the fold, please keep praying for their general and spiritual welfare!

Pray for Adam R. Adam has lost much of his hearing as a result of a virus. Pray for Adam and his family of 8 children.

Pray for Adam’s father and mother, Barry and Dalia. They too have some health problems and challenges.

Pray for Miriam and for Hannah, her daughter. Miriam is a dear sister and has lost her husband recently.

Pray for the congregations related to Netivyah in Brazil, to have the strength and stamina to face the challenges in front of them with courage and strength of faithfulness to the Lord, and to the vision of the restoration of the church and Israel.

Pray for the millions of victims of the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition who have been forced to convert to the Catholic church, and now want to return home to the land of Israel and to the faith of our fathers.

Pray for the state of Israel to open the doors for these lost Jews to be able to return and fulfill God’s promises to the prophet Ovadyah:

“But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. The house of Jacob shall be a fire, And the house of Joseph a flame; But the house of Esau shall be stubble; They shall kindle them and devour them, And no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau, For the Lord has spoken. The South shall possess the mountains of Esau, And the Lowland shall possess Philistia. They shall possess the fields of Ephraim And the fields of Samaria. Benjamin shall possess Gilead. And the captives of this host of the children of Israel Shall possess the land of the Canaanites As far as Zarephath. The captives of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad Shall possess the cities of the South. Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion To judge the mountains of Esau, And the kingdom shall be the Lord’s.” — Obadiah 1:17-21 [NKJV]

Fernanda Nothen Becker, our dear sister has problems with her job that cause her pressure and challenges. Pray for the social situation in Fernanda’s work to turn and her suffering to turn into joy and friendship.

A 70-year-old Pastor Paulo C. Pereira Braga Dias, He is the father of a dear sister in Brazil, and suffers from diabetes.

Pray for Roberto Morias, a dear brother who is going through heart surgery and an angiogram.

Please pray for Ruby K. from Hong Kong. Ruby has gone through a very complicated surgery for multiple cancers in her body. The surgery was very long, and Ruby is back home now recovering. Please lift Ruby K. and ask the Lord to heal and deliver Ruby from Hong Kong.

Pray for family and friends and dear brothers and sisters in the United States of America.

Please pray for the daughter of Bill Colwell, who is very sick with cancer.

Please pray for my family in the United States: Barry my son and his wife Beth, and for Joey my grandson. Pray for their divine protection and health.

Pray for Danah my daughter's health issues. I pray for the Lord to give Danah wisdom and peace and calm in life and in her work.

Pray for Noaam my granddaughter. She is working two jobs now and needs good health and wisdom to make the right choices and plans for life, education, immigration to Israel, and just general protection from all harm.

Pray for David Young the preacher in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who is back to preaching after recovering from medical issues. Please keep David in your prayers.

Pray for Ruby Little, our dear and faithful sister who has cancer and has stopped receiving medical treatment for the cancer that she has. Please pray for Ruby that the Lord will heal and strengthen her and provide for all her needs both medically and socially.

Aaron Hook, Nancy Hook’s oldest son, needs our prayers for wisdom and healing from past issues of life.

Lift for blessing and healing Jonathan B. and his wife Aviva and their new baby, his mother, and his brother Daniel. Pray for these very important men of God: Rabbi Salt, his family, and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings.

Pray a blessing for a dear sister Angela Isby and her situation. Pray for Tiz H. and Lion H.

Also pray for Ilana Avramov who is married to my cousin Nissim and lives in New York City. Ilana has fallen and in now in rehab learning how to walk again. We pray for her full recovery. She and Nissim both need our prayers.

Joseph Mock, a young man in his 30s, a dear brother that was named after me, has leukemia in an advanced stage. He is in the hospital and needs our urgent prayers. Joseph Mock is the son of Steve Mock, who is also one of the faithful disciples of Yeshua who became a believer in the early years of Netivyah.

Steve Mock is also in need of our prayers. He had a massive stroke and now he cannot speak, and has other limitations. Please keep Steve Mock also in your prayers, and pray for his wife Josse for strength and blessings and good health.

Pray for three women of God in Canada who need healing, Lynda, Sandy and Joanne.

Please pray for Netivyah and for the good work that Netivyah is doing in Israel and around the world.

We need more workers because of the challenges and needs and opportunities to bless the King Yeshua and His Kingdom down here on Earth and bless the poor people of Jerusalem visit here do what they can and produce more materials, books, and magazines.

We ask you to join us in prayer that the right young people, talented and anointed by the Spirit of God will come and work with us, and the provision to pay the Netivyah workers a fair and just payment.

I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to visit here do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.
