예루살렘 기도 목록 – 2020년 8월 27일
요셉 슐람, 이스라엘 예루살렘 이번 안식일 토라 포션은 파라샷 “키 테쩨”, 신명기 21:10~25:19이며, 하프타라는 이사야 54:1-10입니다. 신약성경에서는 고린도전서 5:1-5을 읽을 것입니다. 신명기 21장부터 25장까지는 우리 현대 서구인들 귀에 이상하게 들리는 명령이 좀 있습니다. 이상한 명령의 첫 번째 예를 보겠습니다: “네가 나가서 적군과 싸울 때에 네 하나님 여호와께서 그들을 네 손에 넘기시므로 네가 그들을 사로잡은 후에 네가 만일 그 포로 중의 아리따운 여자를 보고 그에게 연연하여 아내를 삼고자 하거든 그를 네 집으로 데려갈 것이요 그는 그 머리를 밀고 손톱을 베고 또 포로의 의복을 벗고 네 집에 살며 그 부모를 위하여 한 달 동안 애곡한 후에 네가 그에게로 들어가서 그의 남편이 되고 그는 네 아내가 될 것이요” – 신명기 21:10–13 우리가 프랑스혁명 이후, 미국 “수정헌법” 이후 시대의 관점으로 이 말씀을 보면 이 명령은 이상하고 잔인하고 부당하게 들립니다. 20세기 및 21세기의 현실이 우리에게 지금의 현실이 토라의 하나님의 명령보다 훨씬 더 나쁘다는 것을 가르쳐주기는 하지만, 이 고대 문서를 해석하는 첫 번째 원칙은 그것이 쓰인 역사적 배경에서 그것을 해석하고 이해해야 한다는 것입니다. 여러분은 21세기 혹은 20세기 서구권의 문화적 기준을 가지고 3,000년도 더 오래 전에 기록된 문서를 판단할 수 없는 것입니다. 터키에 의해 저질러진 아르메니안 대학살 만행부터 봅시다. 몇 주 동안 150만 명이 학살당했습니다. 아내이며 딸들인 수만 명의 여인들이 그들의 아버지와 오빠나 남동생이 보는 앞에서 강간당했고, 또 그들의 자녀들은 그들의 부모들 역시 학살당하기 전에 그들이 보는 앞에서 난도질당해 죽었습니다. 우리는 계속해서 제1차 및 제2차 세계대전과 일본이 한국과 만주에 행한 만행에 대해서도 말할 수 있을 것입니다. 일본은 일본군 병사들을 위해 사춘기도 지나지 않은 어린 소녀들을 가지고 위안부를 조직했었습니다. 이제 여러분이 토라를 읽으면서 하나님께서 이스라엘에 명하신 이 명령을 볼 때 여러분은 자기의의 의분이 차오를 수 있을 것입니다. 그러나 이점을 생각해 보십시오: 여러분은 전쟁터에서 여인을 유린하지 못하게 되어 있습니다. 여러분은 시리아와 이라크에서 아이시스(ISIS)가 그랬던 것처럼, 아니면 팔레스타인 아랍인들이 1929년 8월 24일 헤브론에서 학살을 저지른 것처럼 그냥 여인을 덮쳐 강간한 후에 죽이거나 여인을 성노예로 데려가는 것이 아니라, 아내로 데려가야 합니다. 토라는 아리따운 여자 포로에 대한 여러분의 권리를 제한하여 사실 여러분의 동물적 본능을 다스려 한 달 동안 억제시키고 있습니다. 너는 아리따운 여자 포로를 취해 동물처럼 굴 수 없다. 멈추라! 네 성욕과 욕정을 식혀 제어하고, 자존감을 지킬 수 있을 정도로 포로의 권리를 존중하라. 한 달 후에 여러분은 그 여인과의 성관계에 앞서 그녀를 여러분의 아내로 삼아야 합니다. 토라 이전에도 토라와 동시대에도 토라 이후에도 전쟁포로인 희생자들에 대해 그렇게 정도(正道)를 택한 고대 율법은 없습니다. 그렇습니다, 주전 12세기에 메소포타미아에서부터 이집트에 이르는 비옥한 초승달 지역을 통틀어 하나님의 말씀(토라)처럼 섬세하고 사려 깊고 도덕적으로 올바른 법전에 근접한 것은 찾아보지 못할 것입니다. 또한 다음 사항도 생각해 보십시오: 이 아리따운 여인이 여러분의 집에서 한 달을 보낸 후 여러분의 아내가 되기를 거절하고 여러분을 좋아하지 않는다면 여러분은 그녀에게 손을 대지 못하고 그녀를 놓아주어 그녀가 가서 그녀가 하고 싶은 대로 할 자유를 주어야 합니다. 그녀는 자유로운 여인으로 강제로 종이나 첩이 되게 할 수 없습니다. 고대 세계의 그 어떤 나라에도, 그리고 오늘날 세계의 대부분의 나라에서도 이렇게 고상한 법은 없습니다. 세상을 창조하신 하나님께서는 우리에게 하나에서 열까지 공정하고 의로운 율법을 주셨습니다. 노예 문제와 토라가 노예의 주인에게 부과한 규범이나 제한만 보더라도 하나님의 율법은 스칸디나비아와 북유럽의 바이킹 왕국은 말할 것도 없고 이집트나 바벨론이나 그리스나 로마의 그 어떤 규범보다도 머리나 어깨 높이 이상 고매합니다. 제가 이것을 쓰는 이유는 많은 기독교인들이 하늘과 땅을 지으신 주님께서 주신 모세 율법에 대해 부정적인 태도를 물려받았기 때문입니다. 다음 율법을 생각해 보시기 바랍니다: “네 형제의 소나 양이 길 잃은 것을 보거든 못 본 체하지 말고 너는 반드시 그것들을 끌어다가 네 형제에게 돌릴 것이요 네 형제가 네게서 멀거나 또는 네가 그를 알지 못하거든 그 짐승을 네 집으로 끌고 가서 네 형제가 찾기까지 네게 두었다가 그에게 돌려 줄지니 나귀라도 그리하고 의복이라도 그리하고 형제가 잃어버린 어떤 것이든지 네가 얻거든 다 그리하고 못 본 체하지 말 것이며” – 신명기 22:1–3 오늘날 여러분의 나라는 이런 율법이 있습니까? 미국의 법은 여러분에게 여러분의 이웃의 고양이나 개가 달아나 길을 잃었고 여러분이 그것이 이웃의 집에서 1~2 마일 떨어진 큰 길에서 헤매고 다니는 것을 보았다면 그것을 돌보라고 법적으로 명하고 있습니까? 저는 1962-1964년과 1967-1969년에 미국에 살았습니다. 조지아주 시골과 플로리다주 마이애미, 미시간주 로체스터, 테네시주 내쉬빌에 살았었습니다. 제 경험상 제가 미시간주 로체스터와 마이애미와 내쉬빌에서 알던 대부분의 기독교인들은 그들의 이웃의 고양이나 개에 가까이 가거나 만지지도 않았을 것이며, 만약 이웃에 나귀나 양이나 염소가 있다고 하더라도 마찬가지였을 것입니다. 제가 생각할 때 제가 살았던 곳 중에서 유일하게 이 명령이 지켜졌을 만한 곳은 조지아주 대셔였을 것입니다. 대셔에서는 지역사회가 동질적이었습니다. 대부분의 가족들은 미국으로 와 플로리다 국경 근처 늪지대 끝자락에 정착한 독일계 기독교인들의 후손이었습니다. 그들은 상당히 글자 그대로 공동체였습니다. 그들은 서로 결혼으로 결속되어 있기도 하여 거의 모두 한 가족이었습니다. 1960년대 그곳 대셔에서는 이 율법이 지켜졌을 것입니다. 오늘날이라면 의문이 생깁니다! 저는 코플랜드가 사람들과 햄가 사람들과 비젠베이커가 사람들 ...이 바로잡아 주신다면 기쁠 것 같습니다. 22장에서 주님의 명령은 계속해서 저를 놀라게 합니다. 조류 종을 보호하고 보존하라는 명령을 생각해 보십시오: “길을 가다가 나무에나 땅에 있는 새의 보금자리에 새 새끼나 알이 있고 어미 새가 그의 새끼나 알을 품은 것을 보거든 그 어미 새와 새끼를 아울러 취하지 말고 어미는 반드시 놓아 줄 것이요 새끼는 취하여도 되나니 그리하면 네가 복을 누리고 장수하리라.” – 신명기 22:6,7 이 율법들은 자연이나 생태계에 대한 감수성이라는 것이 있기도 훨씬 오래 전에 하나님께서 이스라엘에 주신 것입니다. 다음은 어떤 정부간 기구(생물다양성 및 생태계 서비스에 관한 정부간 과학정책플랫폼, IPBES)의 발간지에서 발췌한 것입니다: IPBES의 2019년 생물다양성 및 생태계 서비스에 대한 글로벌 평가 리포트에 따르면, 야생 포유동물의 생물자원은 82 퍼센트 감소했고, 자연 생태계 면적은 약 절반이 소실되었고, 1백만 종이 멸종 위기에 처해 있다 - 대체로 모두 인간 활동의 결과이다. 식물 및 동물 종의 25%가 멸종될 위험이 있다. 2019년 6월 현재, 식물 및 동물의 1백만 종이 멸종의 위기에 처해 있다. 1750년 이래 최소 571 종이 사라졌다고는 하나, 더 많이 있을 것 같다. 멸종의 주 원인은 숲을 베어내고 땅을 경작지로 전환하는 등의 인간 활동으로 자연 서식지를 파괴한 데 있다. 토라가 적어도 3,250년 되었다는, 즉 자연이나 생물종 보존이나 생물다양성에 대한 감수성이라는 것이 전혀 없었던 시대에 쓰였다는 점을 감안해 보십시오. 하나님의 말씀이 여러분이 교회에서 겪는 일 외의 것들에 대해 배려하고 있음을 음미하시고, 하늘과 땅을 지으시고 여러분과 저를 아주 사랑하시어 저와 여러분을 위해 죽도록 그분의 아들 예슈아를 보내주신 하나님께 감사하시기 바랍니다.
이스라엘은 아직도 코로나바이러스와 싸우고 있는데요, 2차 창궐 중이며 매일 코로나바이러스 신규 확진자가 2,000명 가량 생기고 있습니다.
이스라엘에서 코로나바이러스를 다스리고 확산을 통제하도록 이스라엘정부가 임명했던, 텔-아비브 이킬로브 병원(슈라스키 메디컬센터)장 론니 감주 교수는, 정치인들이 그가 입원 환자 및 중환자수, 중환자실에서 에크모(체외막산소공급기)에 의존하고 있는 환자수 증가를 막기 위해 필요한 일을 하도록 허용하지 않고 있어, 포기하려고 합니다. 감주 교수는 우리의 기도가 필요합니다.
사망자수는 800명이 넘었습니다. 사망자의 평균연령은 82세였습니다. 지금 사망자의 평균연령은 62세로 내려왔는데요, 2차 창궐 때 다수가 34세와 68세 사이이기 때문입니다.
이것은 젊은이들이 노인들만큼 감염되지 않는다는 것을 분명히 보여주는 지표이지만, 확진자 연령이 낮아지고 있다는 것을 보여주기도 합니다.
우리는 전 세계와 각자의 나라를 위해 그리고 거기에 이스라엘을 추가하여 기도해야 합니다. 저는 이 코로나바이러스가 이스라엘을 훈육하여 그들이 하나님과 더 좋은 관계로 회복되고 그들의 창조주를 더 존경하도록 하나님께서 보내셨던 성경의 다른 모든 염병 같은 전염병이라고 믿습니다. 이스라엘이 회개했을 때나 모세가 들어 올렸던 놋뱀을 바라보았을 때, 그들은 치유 받았습니다.
이스라엘 의회는 마지막 순간인 어젯밤 18개월 동안 네 번째가 되는 총선 연기에 대한 투표를 하여 3개월 후 2020년 12월 23일에 하기로 했습니다.

The Jerusalem Prayer List – August 27, 2020
by Joseph Shulam, Jerusalem, Israel The Torah reading this Shabbat is Parashat Ki Teitzei, Deuteronomy 21:10-25:19, and the Haftarah is Isaiah 54:1 - 54:10. From the New Testament, we will be reading 1 Corinthians 5:1-5. The reading of Deuteronomy chapter 21 to 25, has some commands that sound strange to our modern Western ears. Take for example the first strange command: “When you go out to war against your enemies, and the Lord your God delivers them into your hand, and you take them captive, and you see among the captives a beautiful woman, and desire her and would take her for your wife, then you shall bring her home to your house, and she shall shave her head and trim her nails. She shall put off the clothes of her captivity, remain in your house, and mourn her father and her mother a full month; after that you may go in to her and be her husband, and she shall be your wife.” – Deuteronomy 21:10–13 [NKJV] If we look at this text from the viewpoint of our modern post-French Revolution and post-American “Bill of Rights,” this command sounds strange and cruel and unjust. Although the reality of the 20th and 21st centuries teaches us that this reality is even much worse than God’s command in the Torah. Rule number one for the interpretation of the ancient text is that you must interpret and understand the ancient text within the historical context in which it was written. You cannot judge a text that was written over 3000 years ago with the cultural standards of the 21st century in the West, or of the 20th century. Let us start with the atrocities of the Armenian massacre by the Turkish people. One and a half million people were massacred over a few weeks. Tens of thousands of women, wives, and daughters were raped in front of their fathers, and brothers and their children were cut in pieces in front of their mothers and fathers before they too were massacred. We can continue on into World Wars I and II, and the terrible things that the Japanese did in Korea and Manchuria. The comfort houses that they organized for their soldiers with young girls that had not even passed puberty. Now when you read the Torah and you see this command that God is commanding Israel – you might be filled with self-righteous indignation, but consider this: You are not to ravage her on the battlefield. You have to take her as your wife, not just jump her and rape her and then kill her or take her as a sex slave as ISIS did in Syria and Iraq, or like the Palestinian Arabs did in the massacres in Hebron on the 24th of August, 1929. The Torah limits your rights over a beautiful woman captive and actually makes you control your animal instincts and put them under control for a month. You can’t just take the captive beautiful woman and act like an animal. Stop! Cool down and control your appetites and passions, and respect the rights of the captive to self-dignity. After a month you have to make her your wife before you can have sex with her. There is no ancient law either before the Torah or contemporary with the Torah, or even after the Torah, that takes such a high road toward the victims who are captives of war. Yes, in the 12th century BCE world, throughout the entire Fertile Crescent (from Mesopotamia to Egypt), you will not find anything even close to the sensitive and considerate and morally upright legal document which is the word of God (the Torah). Consider also the following: If this beautiful woman, after being a month in your home, refuses to become your wife, and does not like you, you don’t touch her, you release her and give her the freedom to go and to do whatever she likes. She is a free woman and cannot be forced to be either your slave or your concubine. There is no such thing as a law this gracious in any country of the ancient world, and not even in most of the world today. The God who created the world gave us a just and righteous law from A to Z… even if you consider the issue of slavery and the rules and limitations that the Torah places on a slave owner, the Torah of God was head and shoulders above any of the rules of Egypt, Babylon, Greece, or Rome, not to mention the Viking kingdoms of Scandinavia and Northern Europe. I am writing you this because many Christians have inherited a negative attitude toward the Law of Moses given by the Lord who created the heavens and the Earth. Please consider the following law: “You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep going astray, and hide yourself from them; you shall certainly bring them back to your brother. And if your brother is not near you, or if you do not know him, then you shall bring it to your own house, and it shall remain with you until your brother seeks it; then you shall restore it to him. You shall do the same with his donkey, and so shall you do with his garment; with any lost thing of your brother’s, which he has lost and you have found, you shall do likewise; you must not hide yourself.” – Deuteronomy 22:1–3 [NKJV] Does your country have a law like this today? Does United States law command you legally to take care of your neighbors’ cat or dog if they run astray and you see them wandering on the highway a mile or two from your neighbor’s house? I lived in the United States from 1962-1964 and from 1967-1969. I lived in South Georgia, in the country, and I have lived in Miami, Florida and Rochester, Michigan, and in Nashville, Tennessee. From my experience, most of the Christians that I knew in Rochester, Michigan, and in Miami, and Nashville, would not even get close to or touch their neighbor’s cat or dog, and much less so if their neighbor had a donkey or a sheep or a goat. The only place where I lived that I could imagine that this command might be observed would have been in Dasher, Georgia. In Dasher the community was homogeneous. The majority of the families were descendents of German Christians who came to America and settled on the edge of the swamps near the Florida boarder. They were a community very much in the sense of the word community. They were also so intermarried that they were almost all one family. There in Dasher these laws would have been observed in the 1960’s. As for today I have my doubts! I would be happy to be corrected by the Coplands and Hams and Wisenbakers… In chapter 22 the commands of the Lord continue to amaze me. Consider the command to protect and preserve the bird species: “If a bird’s nest happens to be before you along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, with the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young; you shall surely let the mother go, and take the young for yourself, that it may be well with you and that you may prolong your days.” – Deuteronomy 22:6,7 [NKJV] These laws were given by God to Israel long before there was any sensitivity to nature or ecology. Here is a quotation from the publication of an intergovernmental organization (the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services): According to the 2019 Global Assessment Report on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services by IPBES, the biomass of wild mammals has fallen by 82 percent, natural ecosystems have lost about half their area and a million species are at risk of extinction—all largely as a result of human actions. 25% of plant and animal species are threatened with extinction. In June 2019, one million species of plants and animals were at risk of extinction. At least 571 species have been lost since 1750, but it is likely that there are many more. The main cause of the extinctions is the destruction of natural habitats by human activities, such as cutting down forests and converting land into fields for farming. Take into consideration that the Torah is at least 3,250 years old(!), it was written in a world that had no sensitivity to nature or the preservation of species or to biodiversity. Get some appreciation for the consideration of the word of God for things that are outside your church experience and appreciate the God who created the heavens and the Earth and loved you and me so much that He sent His Son, Yeshua, to die for me and for you….
Israel is still fighting the coronavirus and we are still in the second wave and around 2000 people in Israel are added every day to the list of those who have been infected with the coronavirus.
Professor Ronni Gamzu, the head of Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Hospital (Sourasky Medical Center), who was appointed by the Israeli government to manage the coronavirus and control the spread of the plague in Israel, is about to give up because the politicians are not allowing him to do what is necessary to stop the rising number of sick and the number of critically ill, in the hospitals, and the number of those who are in ICU’s, who are on ECMO machines (oxygen-enhancing devices). Professor Gamzu needs our prayers.
The number of dead has risen above 800. The average age of the dead was 82 years old. Now the average age of the dead has come down to around 62, because many of the second wave ill are between the ages of 34 and 68.
This is a clear indication that those who are younger don’t get as sick as the older men and women, but it is also an indication that the age of the victims is dropping.
We must pray for the whole world and each of us for his own country and to add Israel. I believe that this coronavirus is a plague like all the biblical plagues that God sent to educate Israel and restore them to a better relationship with Him, and to greater respect for their creator. When Israel repented or looked at the brass snake that Moses lifted up, they received healing.
At the very last moment last night the Israeli parliament voted to postpone a fourth election in 18 months by three months to December 23rd, 2020.
This is not good, but it gives our political leaders in the parliament the time and a chance to get off the tree and start eating the bananas, while they try to salvage this country and stop the enmity between the political blocks.
Let us all pray and encourage our spiritual leaders to lead and to point us toward repentance and to confession of our sins and weaknesses, so that the Lord will lift this coronavirus from off of this earth and we will remember the Lord and seek to walk in His paths of righteousness and truth.
Please keep praying for Marcia’s health, her memory, diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis. Danah our daughter, needs much prayer for her situation and so does our granddaughter Noaam. Please lift Danah and Noaam in your prayers. Please lift Barry our son and his family, Beth, and Joey our grandson who are also staying at home and working from home during this time. Marcia’s mother June is 91 years old and her health is failing.
Brazil is in bad shape with the coronavirus and the problems of the business community, and the social unrest is also a major challenge. We have so many brothers and sisters in Brazil that need our prayers and intercession on their behalf.
Here is a short list of communities and brothers and sisters in Brazil who need our prayers and God’s grace in these hard times: Pray for the sister communities of Netivyah in Brazil, Har Zion, Ensenando de Siao, and Sar-El in Curitiba and other brothers and sisters in the city of Curitiba.
There is another congregation of brothers and sisters in Curitiba led by brother Claus and brother Moses, please pray for these dear brothers also and for and the Messianic congregations in Fortaleza, Santa Maria, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and in other cities in Brazil. Pray for our dear older and more vulnerable brothers and partners in Brazil, Michelle O., Marcelo Guimaraes family and especially his father, Paulo, Marty Galante. The Resende family.
We have been praying for our dear Sister Angela in the last months. Sister Angela is no longer with us. The Lord has taken her from us. Now I am asking you to pray for TJ her husband, who is the pastor of the congregation in Taiwan. Sister Angela was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Daniel Stern and I had the privilege to spend a week with sister Angela and TJ in Taiwan at the beginning of 2020. We had some very special days with TJ and Sister Angela.
These were unforgettable days for all of us. Especially for two Jews from Jerusalem. The most unforgettable part was the joy and strength and love that Sister Angela and TJ exhibited towards the nation of Israel and their love for God and Yeshua.
For Daniel and I it was a major injection of vitamins. We received vitamins faith, hope, and love from our dear Sister Angela and from TJ her husband and the pastor of the congregation. May the Good Lord enjoy Angela’s presence and may she enjoy His presence forever.

Please see your prayer as casting a vote for healing before the Lord and His angels in Heaven in favor of every brother and sister that you are praying for. By praying for people who are your brothers and sisters, and whom you do not know personally, you are exercising the right to be God’s ambassador in what is called “agape love.” “Agape love” is the highest form of love, a love that does not look for earthly rewards or give and take, but just does the service of intercession in the kingdom of God.
You will be blessed by the almighty God who gives each of His children good for the good we do and recompense for the bad we do. Your sincere prayers for people around the world do the following things for the Kingdom, the King, and for the body of the Messiah:
1. They unite you and the body in a major transcendent bond of prayer.
2. They demonstrate the oneness of the people of God.
3. Your prayer shows that there are people outside the realm of the physical world and personal interests who have a sincere bond and relationship that is heavenly and not earthly.
4. The Lord knows His children and gives credit and reward according to His promises.

Keep them both in your prayers. Their return home is what I have asked you to pray for in the last few weeks and the Lord is answering our prayers. God keep them safe and bring them back home.

Pray for Israel. We are going through terrible riots and violence in the streets of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv and other places around the country. These riots are motivated by the fact that much of the populace of Israel does not understand what the government is doing in relationship to the coronavirus pandemic.
Businesses are closing and bankruptcy is happening to old established companies and businesses and even our national airline is on the verge of bankruptcy. People do not have money to put food on their tables. The number of people in need of basic food is growing.
Netivyah has been feeding the poor of Jerusalem for more than 25 years and we have a highly appreciated humanitarian ministry that is working with the Jerusalem municipality. As the demands for food for people who never before needed such help grows, I pray that the Lord will inspire and motivate brothers and sisters and ministries who can help with this to go to the webpage: www.netivyah.org and do what they can to make it possible for us to double or more than double, the number of people and families that we serve.
Our prime minister’s case is still before the courts. I am not happy that this is happening in Israel, but I am praying that true justice and righteousness is exhibited in our court system. The truth must come out and I am not interested in a second prime minister of Israel going to jail. We have had a president in jail, a finance minister in jail, a minister of interior affairs in jail, and a member of the parliament in jail. Enough!
The world is in a terrible flux as millions of people are dealing with this coronavirus and hundreds of thousands of families have already lost their loved ones to this plague of biblical proportions. Still, we also need to be grateful for countries like Israel who are beginning to come out and return to normality with caution and care.

Anarchist elements have taken the center of Portland, OR, and turned it into chaos, and disorder. So, please pray for Portland, OR, and for our brothers and sisters in that city.
The coronavirus is threatening the economy of the world with a great recession and depression. Some of our major supporters have already lowered the amount of their support. They have done this not only toward Netivyah, but for all the ministries that they are supporting, and they are many. I would like to first ask you to pray about your part in supporting Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry.
Second, I would like for you who stand with us in prayer and financially to do your absolute best to stay on board with us and communicate. We realize that times will be hard for several years, but we also realize that God has chosen and blessed you for such a time as this.
Third please pray for a new project that we are starting in Israel in partnership with the Houses for Healing ministry from Abilene, Texas.
The aim is to provide hospitality for families of critically ill patients who are hospitalized in one of Jerusalem’s hospitals and who have no means to stay in hotels while their family members are in the hospitals.
This is a critical need especially in these days when there are hundreds of men and women who are in the Coronavirus ICU units for weeks and even months.
We have a couple who is coming from Switzerland to be the house parents of the first such apartment in Jerusalem. The social workers of the hospitals in Jerusalem are so excited by this effort in which our brothers in the USA and the Netivyah staff are partnering to be the first such ministry in Israel.
We need your prayer and your help to make this a meaningful and significant blessing both to the sick and to their families.
