*종려나무 - 의인은 종려나무 같이 번성하며 시92:13 행동을 기인하게 하는 척추, 중심부 상징
*화석류나무 -한 사람이... 화석류나무 사이에 섰고 슥1:8 나뭇잎이 사람의 눈을 닮아 눈, 시야 상징
*버드나무(아라보트) -하나님께 노래하며 그의 이름을 찬양하라 하늘을 타고 (구름을 타고: 아라보트) 같은 발음 시68:4 사람의 입모양 닮아 우리의 언어, 말 상징
"Etrog--because it is written (Psalms 104: 1): 'You are clothed in glory and majesty.' (The word translated as majesty is hadar. In the Torah (Leviticus 23:40), the etrog is called the fruit of the goodly tree. The same Hebrew word, hadar, is used in that context to mean goodly.)
"Palm--because it is written (Psalms 92:13): 'The righteous bloom like a date palm.' Myrtle--because it is written (Zechariah 1:8): 'And he stood among the
myrtle-trees.' Willow--because it is written (Psalms 68:4): 'Extol Him who rides on the clouds [aravot], the Lord is His name.'
1. The Etrog represents the heart, the seat of our emotions. 2. The Hadas (myrtle) has leaves shaped like an eye. 3. The Lulav (date palm) represents the spine, from where our actions emanate. 4. The Aravah (willow) represents the lips, our speech.
