이번 주 토라 포션은 아주 예언적이고 이번 주말에 딱 맞는 말씀입니다. 이 포션은 하늘로부터 이스라엘과 전 세계 유대인 공동체와 또한 유대인은 아니지만 이스라엘의 하나님과 이스라엘로부터 나오신 메시아이며 구주이신 예슈아(예수)를 사랑하는 우리 형제자매님들에게 주시는 좋은 조언 같습니다. 여러분이 성경을 읽을 때 대부분의 종교적 기독교인들이 가지고 있는 일반적인 개념을 갖고 있을 것입니다. 성경은 주로 종교적인 사람들에게 종교적인 책으로 수천 년 전에 일어난 사건들을 다루는 구약성경과 신약성경으로 나뉘어져 있습니다. 성경은 읽기에 흥미롭고 서구 기독교권의 지성인들이라면 연구하고 알아야 하는 것입니다. 성경은 교회의 체험의 일부입니다. 어쨌든, 이번 주 토라 포션은 바이슐라흐, 창세기 32:3–36:43입니다. 선지서에서 읽는 본문은 오바댜 1절부터 21절까지 전부입니다. 신약성경에서 읽는 본문은 마태복음 2:13-22입니다.
토라는 신약성경에서도 사도시대 및 그 이전의 랍비 문헌에서도 거울이라고 불립니다. 거울의 기능은 실제 모습을 비춰주는 것입니다. 실제 모습을 비춰주는 것은 때로는 충격적이고, 때로는 웃기고, 때로는 예언적으로 미래에 우리가 어떻게 보일지 투사해 줄 수 있습니다. 하나님을 경외하는 유대인들과 하나님을 경외하는 랍비 예슈아의 유대인 제자들의 모든 회당에서 토라 포션과 선지서 포션을 읽을 때도 마찬가지일 것입니다. 성경의 명령과 권고를 존중하는 유대인과 이방인들에게, 이방인의 경우는 구약성경과 신약성경 둘 다이며, 신약성경은 어쩌면 명령일 수 있는 사도들의 강력한 권고를 담고 있는데요, 그 명령은 최소한 안식일마다 낭독되는 하나님의 말씀을 들으라는 것입니다!!! 킹제임스흠정역입니다:
사도행전 15:18-21, “세상이 시작된 이래로 하나님의 모든 일은 그분께서 아시느니라. 19 그러므로 내 판결은 이러하니 곧 우리가 이방인들 가운데서 하나님께 돌아온 자들을 괴롭게 하지 말고 20 다만 그들에게 글을 써서 그들이 우상들의 더러운 것과 음행과 목매어 죽인 것과 피를 멀리하게 하자는 것이라. 21 옛적부터 모세에게는 각 도시에서 그를 선포하는 자들이 있어 안식일마다 회당들에서 모세의 글을 읽느니라, 하더라.” 여러분도 분명히 보실 수 있듯이, 사도들과 예루살렘 교회 지도자들은 진지한 논의 끝에 모든 민족, 모든 인종, 모든 문화적 배경의 광활한 인류의 바다에서 새로이 하나님의 백성에 들어온 비-유대인, 비-이스라엘인들에게 사려 깊은 결정을 내립니다. 이들은 구원받고 구속받고 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 하나님과 이스라엘 나라와 영원한 결속, 영원한 관계를 수립한 이들입니다(에베소서 2:10-15 참조). 지금 사도들은 새로이 하나님의 나라에 들어온 사람들에게 친절하여 그들에게 부담을 지우고 싶지 않아, 유대인이든 비-유대인이든 모든 사람에게 적용될 수 있는 최소한을 권고(명령)하기로 결정합니다. 저는 오늘 이 모든 명령에 대해서나 일반적인 기독교인들이 이 명령 중 어떤 것이든 순종하고 있는가에 대해서 말하려는 것이 아닙니다. 그렇지만 적어도 이번 안식일에 읽는 토라 포션에서 분명한 권고인 마지막 명령에 대해서는 좀 언급하고 싶습니다. 이스라엘 네티비야든 미국 네티비야든 네티비야 성경교육사역의 중요성과 독특함은 이 사역이 적어도 이스라엘에서 그리고 어쩌면 더 넓게는 세계적으로 이 분야에서 1972년 초부터 이스라엘에 있는 회당들의 성구집에 따라 토라를 읽기 시작했다는 점입니다. 달리 말하자면, 저희는 이스라엘에 있는 모든 회당들과 똑같이 토라 포션과 선지서 포션을 읽는다는 것입니다. 이것은 네티비야에 있는 저희에게 아주 중요한 두 가지를 해주었는데요, 이스라엘과 세계의 다른 곳에 있는 다른 회중들과 교회들에도 모범이 되었습니다. 어쨌든, 사도들의 이 명령에 단순히 순종한 이것이 우리와 그리스도의 몸에 해준 가장 좋고 가장 강력한 유익은 믿지 않는 유대인이 안식일에 저희 교회를 방문했을 때 그들은 편안히 느끼고 우리가 유대교를 버리지 않았다는 것을 알게 된다는 점입니다. 토라 포션과 선지서 포션과 신약성경 포션을 읽는 가장 큰 유익은 사실 읽는 그 자체입니다. 회중에서 지적으로 명민한 사람이 아니더라도 매년 안식일마다 토라를 처음부터 끝까지 공중 낭독하고 거기에 선지서 포션도 읽고 신약성경 포션도 읽다보면 적어도 조금은 머리에 남는 것이 있게 되니, 하나님의 말씀에 훨씬 익숙해지게 됩니다. 개인적으로 제게 가장 경이로운 점은 거의 매주 토라와 선지서와 신약성경에서 읽는 말씀이 현재 일어나고 있는 사건들, 신문과 텔레비전에 보도되는 뉴스에 대해 바로 통찰력을 준다는 점입니다. 성경은 거울처럼 그 사건들을 비춰줍니다. 좋은 예가 오늘날 저희 사촌인 이웃 아랍 나라들과 저희 유대민족 이스라엘 사이에 있는 분쟁과 유사한 분쟁이 있었던 야곱과 에서 두 형제 사이의 화해에서 배워야 하는 교훈입니다. 사실 야곱의 후손과 이들의 이웃 아랍 나라들 사이의 미움과 전쟁은 3,800여 년 전으로 거슬러 올라가는 것이 더 이해하기 쉬울 것입니다. 특별히 이번 토라 포션과 선지서 포션에서 우리가 배울 수 있는 교훈은 지금 가자지구에서는 하마스와 북쪽에서는 헤즈볼라와 벌이고 있는 전쟁에서 일어나고 있는 일과 정확히 상응하고 관련성이 있습니다. 그 교훈은 단순하지만 중요합니다. 분쟁 상황에 어떻게 전략을 수립하고 최악에 대비하고 최선을 바랄 것인가입니다. 항상 최악에 대비하고 최선을 바라는 이 패러다임은 구약성경에서도 신약성경에서도 중요한 가르침입니다. 저는 신약성경부터 시작하겠습니다: 마태복음 7:24, “그러므로 누구든지 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하는 자는 그 집을 반석 위에 지은 지혜로운 사람 같으리니”
마태복음 25:8, 신부의 행렬이 늦어질 수도 있다는 것을 계산하지 못하고 결혼식에 간 처녀들 이야기입니다: “미련한 자들이 슬기 있는 자들에게 이르되 우리 등불이 꺼져가니 너희 기름을 좀 나눠 달라 하거늘” 미리 앞서 생각하고 최악에 대비하고 최선을 바라는 것의 가장 중요하고 가장 상세한 예 중 하나가 이번 토라 포션, 창세기 32장부터의 “바이슐라흐”입니다. 야곱의 생각은 이렇게 작용했습니다: 1) 나는 내 형 에서가 나를 미워하는 것을 안다. 2) 나는 그가 어려서부터 거친 사람이고 전사라는 것을 안다. 3) 나는 그에게 전쟁 준비가 된 큰 군대가 있다는 것을 안다. 그러므로, 나는 권리상 내 것인 저 땅에 들어갈 방법을 찾아야 한다. 나는 저 땅을 팥죽 한 그릇에 샀다. 그 거래는 완전히 합법적이었고 양자가 합의한 것이었다. 지금 나는 내 형 에서와 전쟁하고 싶지 않다. 이제 내가 할 일은 이것이다! 1. 나는 싼 값으로 에서의 기업을 산 것을 보상할 것이다. 내 형 에서에게 내가 아량이 큰 사람이라는 것을 증명해주고 우리 사이를 누그러뜨리고 그에게 내가 그의 쌍둥이 동생이며 우리가 한 가족이라는 것을 생각하게 할 선물을 줄 것이다. 그러면 그는 내 선물과 화해하고자 하는 내 마음을 받아줄 것이다. 2. 나는 에서가 이해하지 못하고 나를 죽이고 내 가족을 해치고자 할 기회를 허락하지 않을 것이다. 여자들과 아이들을 내가 에서와 만나는 곳에서 멀리 떨어진 길로 보낼 것이다. 여자와 아이들은 두 무리로 나눠 서로 다른 길로 가게 할 것이다. 에서의 성질이 어릴 때와 달리 변하지 않은 경우를 대비해서 나는 전쟁에 대비하여 훈련된 사람들이 내 가족을 지키게 하는 등 예방책을 강구하는 것이 좋을 것이다. 아내들과 아이들과 이들과 동행하는 전사들 두 무리는 각자 서로 다른 길로 갈 것이다. 한 무리가 잡혀 해를 당하면 적어도 다른 무리는 살아남을 것이다. 저는 이것이 에서가 야곱을 증오하는 그 증오에 굴복해 최악의 상황이 벌어지는 경우를 염려하여 야곱이 세운 전략을 대강 묘사한 것이라는 것을 압니다. 이 두 쌍둥이 형제의 경우에서 볼 수 있는 이 원리는 전형적인 것으로, 현명한 사람이라면 누구든 언제나 최악에 대비하고 최선을 바라야 한다는 것을 알고 기억해야 하는 것입니다. 저는 여러분이 이것은 야곱의 전략만이 아니라, 성경과 중국에서부터 아르헨티나까지의 전쟁역사와 필리핀에서의 제2차 세계대전 때 모든 현명하고 능한 전사의 전략이기도 했다는 것을 이해하시기를 바랍니다. 필리핀을 떠나며 “다시 돌아올 것이다” 말했던 맥아더 장군은 현 상황의 유불리를 계산해보니 고집부리지 않고 후퇴하는 것이 현명한 것이라는 것, 지금은 지는 것 같아 보이지만 나중에 이기는 것이라는 것을 이해했습니다. 성경에는 하나님도 때때로 이스라엘의 불순종과 거역하는 기질의 결과를 아시고 그분의 자녀 이스라엘에 대해 이 원리를 사용하신 예가 많이 있습니다. 그분께서는 다윗왕에게 그렇게 하셨고 다윗왕은 그를 죽이고자 하는 사울왕을 피해 달아나 은신해야 했을 때 그렇게 했습니다. 저는 정말로 이스라엘과 이스라엘 정부도 앞으로 현명하게 우리 이웃과 관련하여 최악에 대비하고 최선을 바라기를 바랍니다. 지금 가자지구와 북쪽에서는 헤즈볼라와 싸우고 있는 이 전쟁은 저희 수상과 그 정부가 성경의 이 현명한 원리대로 생각하지 않고 오히려 그 반대로 한 직접적인 결과입니다. 이스라엘의 외부 원수들에 대해 생각하기보다는 내부 원수들을 만들고 그들에게 정부의 관심을 온통 빼앗겨 살인적이고 극악무도한 가자지구의 하마스의 실제적이고 직접적인 위험을 무시했습니다. 개인들뿐만 아니라 정부도 우리가 야곱에게서 배우고 예슈아께서 그분의 비유에서 우리에게 가르치신 교훈처럼 전략적으로 생각해야 합니다. 언제나 최악에 대비하고 최선을 바라십시오. 뱀처럼 지혜롭고 비둘기처럼 순하십시오! 이것은 우리 주 예슈아께서도 우리에게 가르치신 패러다임입니다. 이것은 우리 삶의 모든 영역, 모든 걸음마다 유익합니다. 어리석음은 쉽고, 여러분 차의 기어를 중립에 두고 내리막길을 내려가게 하기만 하면 된다는 것을 기억하십시오. 그렇습니다. 어리석음에 덧붙일 수 있는 논리가 좀 있기는 합니다. 내리막길을 내려가면서 왜 엔진을 켜두겠느냐는 것입니다. 기어를 중립에 두면 기름을 절약할 수 있다! 왜 기름을 한 통이나 더 들이겠느냐는 것입니다. 결혼식에 간 미련한 처녀들은, 이건 하누카(수전절)가 아니라 결혼식이잖아! 하마스와의 전쟁이 조속히 끝나고 모든 인질들이 안전하고 온전하게 그들의 사랑하는 가족에게로 돌아오도록 진지하게 기도해 주십시오!

그러나 그들은 평화를 위해 내민 손을 외면합니다. 그들은 유대인들을 죽이고, 지금 번성하며 전 세계에 복이 되고 있는 이 땅을 빼앗아 가자지구와 아랍국가들에 있는 그들의 정착지들처럼 쓰레기장으로 만들고자 합니다.

예루살렘 태생의 88세가 넘으신 사리트 자매님은 혼자 살고 계십니다. 가까운 가족이 없고 여러 가지 노인 질환을 앓고 계십니다.
제 아내 마르시아 슐람을 위해 계속 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 마르시아의 기억력이 더 이상 약해지지 않도록, 관절염이 나아 재발하지 않도록, 기력이 회복되어 스스로를 돌볼 수 있도록 기도해 주십시오.

The Jerusalem Prayer List – November 30, 2023

This week’s Torah Reading is so prophetic and apropos for this very weekend. It is like good advice from Heaven for Israel and for the Jewish Communities around the world and also for our brothers and sisters who are not Jews but who love the God of Israel, and the Messiah and Savior from Israel, Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah. When you read the Bible, you might have one of the common concepts that most religious Christians have. The Bible is a religious book mainly for religious people and it is divided by Old and New Testaments dealing with events that took place thousands of years ago. It is interesting reading, and it is something that intelligent people in the Western Christian Communities ought to study and know. It is a part of our church experience. However, this week in the Torah reading from Vyishlach Genesis 32:3–36:43, from the Prophets the reading is the whole book of Obadiah all 21 verses of it. From the New Testament the reading is from Matthew 2:13-22.
The Torah is called a mirror both in the New Testament and in the Rabbinical literature from the time of the Apostles and may be earlier. The function of a mirror is to reflect reality. The reflection of reality can be at times shocking, and other times to be funny, and yet other times to be prophetic, that is to project how we are going to look in the future. In the Torah reading in all the congregations of God-fearing Jews and God-fearing Jewish disciples of Rabbi Yeshua (Jesus) the reading of the Torah and the prophets is going to be the same. Jews and Gentiles who have respect for the commands and recommendations of the Bible, both Old and New Testament, and in this case, I am talking about the New Testament have a strong apostolic recommendation, may be even a direct command, to at least hear the Word of God read on every Shabbat!!! Here it is from the New King James Bible Translation:
Acts 15:18-21, “Known to God from eternity are all His works. 19 Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God, 20 but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood. 21 For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.” As you can clearly see the Apostles and the leaders of the church in Jerusalem, after a serious discussion decided to be considerate of the new addition to the people of God, the non-Israelite and non-Jewish vast ocean of humanity from every race and every color and every culture. Those who have received Salvation and atonement and have established an eternal bond and relationship with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and with the nation of Israel (See Ephesians 2:10-15). Now the apostles where kind and didn’t want to burden the newly added people to the Kingdom of God and they decided to recommend (demand) the very minimum for this relationship to be able to work for everyone, Jew and non-Jew! I am saying nothing today about all of these demands and if Christians in general obey any of these commands, but I do want to say something about the last one that is a clear recommendation to at least read from the Torah every Sabbath. The importance and uniqueness of Netivyah Bible Instruction Ministry both from Israel and from the United States is that at least in Israel and may be in much wider fields in this world started early in 1972 to read the Torah according to the lectionary of the Synagogues in Israel. In other words, we read the same Torah portion and the Prophets like all the synagogues in Israel. This did two very important things for us in Netivyah, but also as an example to other congregations and fellowships in Israel and in other parts of the world. However, the best and most powerful benefit that this simple obedience to the Apostolic demands did for us and for the Body of Christ is that when non-believing Jews visited our fellowship on Shabbat they felt at home and understood that we have not rejected Judaism. The biggest benefit for reading the Torah and the Prophets and from the New Testament is actually the reading itself. Even a person who is not the sharpest in a congregation reading the Torah publicly every Sabbath and every year from the beginning to the end add also the prophets and the texts from the New Testament at least something stays in the head, and you become much more familiar with the Word of God. For me personally the most wonderful thing is that almost every week the reading from the Torah and the Prophets and the New Testament give me immediate insight into the current events, the news from the Newspapers and the Television. The Bible reflects like a mirror the events and what better example it is to learn from the reconciliation between the two brothers, Jacob and Esau, who had very similar disputes like we have today between our Arab neighbors and cousins and us, the Jewish Nation, Israel. In fact, it would be easy to trace the hate and wars between the sons of Jacob and their Arab neighbors all the way back 3800 years. Now what is the lesson that we learn specifically from this portion of the Torah and the prophets that is actual and relevant to exactly what is happening in the war with the Hamas in Gaza and with the Hizballah in the North. The lesson is simple but important. How to strategize in a conflict situation and prepare for the worst and hope for the best. This paradigm of always prepare for the worst and always hope for the Best is a major teaching in both Old Testament and New Testament. I will start with the New Testament: Matthew 7:24, “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:”
Matthew 25:8, The young ladies that went to the wedding and didn’t calculate that the bridal procession might be late: “And the foolish said to the wise, “Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.” One of the most important and most detailed examples of thinking ahead and preparing for the worst and hoping for the Best is our Torah portion Vyishlach from Genesis 32. Here is how Jacob’s mind worked: 1) I know that Esau my brother hates me. 2) I know that he is a violent man and a fighter from his youth. 3) I know that he has a very big army ready for battle. THEREFORE, I must find a way to enter the land, that is rightfully mind. I purchased this land with a bowl of red lentil soup, the deal was totally legal and in full agreement on both sides. Now I don’t want a battle and a war with my brother Esau. This is what I will do now! 1. I will make up for the cheap price that I purchased Esau’s inheritance. I will give him such gifts that will show Esau my brother that I am a generous person and that I am giving him such gifts that will mitigate between us and hopefully Esau will understand that I am his twin brother, and we are one family, and he will receive my gifts and my personal spirit of reconciliation and peace. 2. I will not take a chance that Esau might not understand and seek to kill me and harm my family. I will take the women and children and send them on a different road far from where my meeting with Esau will be held. The women and children will be split into two camps and go through two different directions. In case Esau’s temperament hasn’t changed from the days of our youth, I better take very precaution including have trained men who are able to fight and defend my family. Each of the two groups of my wives and children and the fighting men that will accompany them will go in different directions and different roads. In case one is caught and damaged at least the other one will survive. I realize that this is a very sketchy description of Jacob’s strategy and care to survive if the worst happens and Esau wants to allow his hate to take the worst from his hate against me. This principle in this case of the two twin brothers is classic and any wise person ought to know and remember that always prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I hope that you understand that this is not only a strategy of Jacob, but also the strategy of every wise and good warrior in the Bible and in the history of warfare from China to Argentina and the world war II in the Philippines. General MacArthur who left the Philippines and said, “I shall return” – calculated his odds now and understood that it would be the wise thing to retreat and not be stubborn and look like a looser now so that in the future he will be a winner. There are many examples in the Bible that even God at times knowing the outcome of Israel’s disobedience and rebellious spirit – used this same principle toward his children Israel. He did the same with King David and King David did the same thing more than one time in the period that he had to run and hide from King Saul who was seeking to kill him. I sure hope that Israel and the Israeli government will be in the future also wise and prepare for the worst with our neighbor and hope for the best. This war in Gaza and in the north with the Hizballah is a direct result that our Prime Minister and his government didn’t think with this wise Biblical Paradigm and actually did the opposite. In place of thinking about the enemies of Israel from the outside created enemies inside of Israel that occupied the full attention of the government and ignored the real and immediate danger from the murderous and monstrous Hamas from Gaza. Not only individuals but also governments must think strategically like we learn from Jacob and like Yeshua taught us in his parables. Always hope for the Best and always be prepared for the worst. Be wise like a snake and gentle like a pigeon! This is the very same paradigm that our Lord Yeshua taught us and it is good for every area and step in our lives. Remember stupid is easy all you have to do is put the gear in your car on neutral and let it slide down the hill. Oh, Yes, there is some logic that you can attach to stupidity. Why should I use my engine going downhill? I can save gas by putting the engine in neutral! Why shall I carry an extra heavy can of oil? It is a wedding not Hannukah Feast of Dedication! I don’t need that much oil if I do need it I can borrow from the other girls. Yes, dear brothers and sisters, don’t be offended. The paradigm is simple aways be wise – always prepare for the worst possible outcome and always hope for the best. Here are the words of Israel’s national anthem. As long as within our hearts

It is two thousand years old,
To be a free people in our land
The land of Zion and Jerusalem. Just a few words on the reading of the prophet Obadiah. It is one of the shortest books in the Hebrew Bible (in the New Testament you have the book of Jude). However, for our day it is one of the most important books, because it is a prophecy of the restoration of the Sephardic Jews back to the land of Israel and also the reconciliation between the sons of Jacob and the sons of Esau. Your prayers for brothers and sisters whom you don’t know personally is a pure love and pure building of the Body of the Messiah. It is really Agape Love since you are doing this without any selfish interests and casting a vote in heaven for someone who is your brother but you don’t know him or her, and God looks at these prayers that are unselfish and true expression of love and care for another link in the long chain of love and faith that binds us together even though we might not know each other in this world. When we all get to heaven what a joy it will be to meet people that we prayed for and sometime even cried for brothers and sisters who are physically strangers, but spiritually a part of the same body of Christ that one day we will have the privilege to seat together and share: “I remember praying for you to be healed!” “I remember praying for you to be safe when you were fighting in Gaza to free the hostages from the cruel hands of the terrorists of the Hamas in Gaza.
Serious prayers for our war with Hamas to end soon and all the hostages to be returned safe and in one piece home to their loved ones!
Pray for our soldiers and especially for the soldiers that we know and appreciate: Yuda, Emanuel the son of Victor and Ayala, Amiel and Solomon and Ezekiel Intrater, Reuven and Clil Kovner, and any other children of Believers and of course for all of the men and women serving this country.
I hate that our boys, the men of our congregation, still serve in the Army and most of them in reserves have to fight and use weapons and do war to protect the civilian population of Israel from terrorism driven by hate and blindness.
Please pray for the Middle East and for the world to see and understand what the reality is here in this part of the world. The lands that provided King David, the prophets, and Yeshua the Messiah – want peace with our neighbors.
But they don’t want the hand that is stretched out in peace. They want to kill all the Jews and take their land, which is flourishing and a blessing for all the world, and make it a dump like their own place in Gaza and in the Arab countries.
In Jerusalem pray for the following brothers and sisters who need divine grace and the gentle touch of the hand of God for healing and strength.
Ilana Ahijervie, a dear sister who is 98 years old and suffering from memory problems.
Please pray for our dear sister Lea Kurkey.
Sarit, a sister born in Jerusalem, over 88 years old, lives alone. Has no close family, and suffers from several old-age illnesses.
Please keep praying for Marcia Shulam my wife. Pray that Marcia’s memory will stop weakening, and that her arthritis be healed and stop being active, and her strength to return to where she can take more care of herself.
Also ask prayer for me and my family and for all the sick and needing healing and grace from our Heavenly Father!

Pray for the congregations related to Netivyah in Brazil, to have the strength and stamina to face the challenges in front of them with courage and strength of faithfulness to the Lord, and to the vision of the restoration of the church and Israel.
Pray for the millions of victims of the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition who have been forced to convert to the Catholic church, and now want to return home to the land of Israel and to the faith of our fathers.
Pray for the state of Israel to open the doors for these lost Jews to be able to return and fulfill God’s promises to the prophet Ovadyah:
“But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. The house of Jacob shall be a fire, And the house of Joseph a flame; But the house of Esau shall be stubble; They shall kindle them and devour them, And no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau, For the Lord has spoken. Lift for blessing and healing Jonathan B. and his wife Aviva and their new baby, his mother, and his brother Daniel. Pray for these very important men of God: Rabbi Salt, his family, and Rabbi Hasselblad. They are both older and need protection and blessings.
Also, pray for Ilana Avramov who is married to my cousin Nissim and lives in New York City. Ilana has fallen and in now in rehab learning how to walk again. We pray for her full recovery. She and Nissim both need our prayers.
Steve Mock - His cognitive condition has declined, and we ask for the grace of God and His Healing and strength. Steve and Josie’s son Joseph - named after Joseph Shulam – has received a wonderful and glorious report. After the last bone marrow transplant the report is that the doctors didn’t find any leukemia his body! Praise the Lord!
Pray for three women of God in Canada who need healing, Lynda, Sandy and Joanne.
