Even until today this song is sung in synagogues around the world. It is called Yedid Nefesh (Beloved of the Soul) and speaks of a merciful and compassionate God. From the beginning, when we were cast out from the garden of Eden, man has been walking on the earth with an emptiness in his soul and a great need for love to fulfill the desires of his heart. The things of this world cannot bring joy or fulfillment to the soul. Abba, our Father saw our soul wandering, lost and He gave Himself on the cross to reconcile us to Himself. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through Messiah Yeshua, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. (Romans 5:10-11) Yeshua is the One who gave Himself on the cross in order for us to be in a relationship with Abba. To bring us back to His garden; no longer outcasts; but back into the Presence of God; His beloved. Thanks to this friendship / relationship; we the Believers in Yeshua can have this reconciliation with Abba, not only for ourselves but to reflect His Grace to those around us. ... and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. (2 Corinthians 5:15) This relationship, for which such a high price was paid, calls for an investment on our part by way of communication with God. Praying, worshipping, talking to Him, waiting on Him and reading the Word of God. are how we are equipped to recognize His Will for our lives. Then we can overcome those thoughts contrary to God's promises; proclaiming His truths, "I belong to you, you are my God, my Savior and my Friend. God, the creator of the universe wants to share His secrets with us at a time when many people continue to walk as outcasts. The heart of God longs for the lost and the suffering. The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant. (Psalm 25:14) |
